Bad Bitch, Cyborg, & Liquid Metal: James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgement Day Go to last week's introduction to James Cameron's The Terminator . . . fast-forward seven years. Sarah Connor is no longer a "damsel in distress". James Cameron has worked his Sigourney Weaver magical transformation on another heroine, creating one of the great female action stars in all of cinema. Once again, Sarah Connor is facing the destruction of the world. However this time she is fully aware of the danger in front, behind, above, and below. Cameron's imagination - coupled with a sheer will and an (at that time) unheard of and unlimited budget, would unleash one of the greatest sequels of all time. Basically a remake of the first film with a series of adjustments to continue the story in a logical manner, Cameron proved that imagination and drive could make up for the simplicity of a plot that had been presented before - Cinema is no stranger to The Apocalypse in its many forms. Take a listen as we reminisce on this incredible film and continue falling down the rabbit hole as we dive further into the struggles, dangers, and promise of AI. It's a good talk. Let us know what you think - gondoramos@yahoo.com. Many, Many Thanks. Arnold MonthTerminator 2: Judgement Day [1991]: Episode 337It's time for Arnold's most iconic role, possibly one of the most iconic movies of the 90s, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. It isn't easy trying to create a character that could be as imposing or possibly more imposing than Arnold Schwarzenegger but they did a pretty decent job in this one.#Terminator2JudgementDay #Arnold Schwarzenegger #MovieReview

Burning Bright and Chris Paul dive into one of the greatest sequels of all time...Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and how its warnings about AI, time wars, and humanity's fate hit even harder in 2025. With Elon Musk warning we're at the event horizon of the singularity, is Skynet fiction or prophecy? They explore the battle between AI deception vs. AI learning, the religious undertones of John Connor as a messianic figure, and whether the real villains were the robots, or the humans who tried to stop progress. Plus, how the film eerily mirrors Starlink, Tesla, and the rise of machine intelligence today. Also in this episode: The media's obsession with war narratives, the Deep State's panic over peace talks, and why elites keep pushing a U.S.-Russia conflict. If Terminator 2 was a warning, are we ignoring the signs?

We discuss the legendary Terminator 2 (1991), an action/sci-fi film with revolutionary special effects that almost without exception hold up over 30 years later. It also stars Elle's daddy. Terminator 2's success cemented it into American cultural memory, being referenced innumerably by subsequent film and TV. Joe Morton's on-screen death is perhaps the greatest death acting ever. I couldn't find the picture of that Vietnamese girl from part 1, but I inadvertently sent myself on a journey of discovery into my past, and illuminated some new revelations. (One of them being “I've sent a LOT of dick pics in the last 15yrs”) I hate Kumal Nanjiani, but let me tell you why. I went to watch the Trump/Kamala debate live, and left dissatisfied on about 19 different levels. (Chicken tenders were involved) Trump is a bore on podcasts, and if I never hear about “the golden years of the Boston comedy scene” again, it'll be too fuckin soon. People seem to have hated Beetlejuice 2, I held strong and instead went to see Terminator 2. Jack Black was behind me in line for it, and I have a litany of thoughts about him AND the movie. Rain globs keep falling on my car, and (also) fuck “I see what you did there” guy, a fresh scourge in the Lukester's online life. I had a total Saturday night misfire, and I advocate for a “fats only” section of the beach. The Bureau has added “my laundromat” to their list of targets.
This week Brandon and Jane take on a James Cameron classic, Terminator 2: Judgement Day! This is your favorite blockbuster film's favorite blockbuster film. Join us for a spirited conversation about everything from the unfortunate prescience of this movie to the sapphic awakenings one Ms. Linda Hamilton has to answer for! It's a delightful foray into dynamic dystopian futures this week!
What started as a fairly simple slasher premise (robot gets sent back from the future to kill the mother of the future saviour of mankind but also she gets sent a human protector whom also happens to be the childs father) very quickly evolved into one of the biggest action movies of all time. Terminator 2: Judgement Day has both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton return as the T-800 and Sarah Connor in a race to prevent the future war and protect John Connor from the T-1000, a mimetic polyalloy machine, aided by ground breaking abilities/special effects. Great movie. This week on Iron, Silver, and Salt, the boys do their best Arnold impression to tackle the big bad of Terminator 2 - The T-1000! Adrian doubles the size of his tequila lore. Chris highlights the real hero of the movie: Miles Bennett Dyson. Will thinks nothing is as dangerous as the endless drip of Content.
We're winding out our theme of dystopian futures in movies and we absolutely have to go back in time, once again, and try to prevent catastrophe. The Terminator is back and this time? He's your new dad and he's been sent back in time by your 45 year old self. Devastation may have been delayed but still imminent. There's hope still in keeping John Connor alive to destroy Skynet tomorrow. The resistance hacked an Arnold bot and sent it back but Skynet sent a Liquid Metal prototype back too and he's scary as fuck. A defining film for a generation, an exceptional action movie and a rare sequel that is better than the original. Of course we're talking about “TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY” from 1991 directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Robert Patrick, Edward Furlong and Joe Morton. With the help of his pet Terminator, John Connor and his mother can prevent the future and stop Skynet on the cusp of its creation so long as they can survive the relentless T-1000. There's always a few holes in any time travel story but we might enjoy this movie now even more than we did when we were kids. Jimmy knows what you want to see. In this sequel set eleven years after "The Terminator," young John Connor (Edward Furlong), the key to civilization's victory over a future robot uprising, is the target of the shape-shifting T-1000 (Robert Patrick), a Terminator sent from the future to kill him. Another Terminator, the revamped T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), has been sent back to protect the boy. As John and his mother (Linda Hamilton) go on the run with the T-800, the boy forms an unexpected bond with the robot.
