It is hard to talk about this follow up without asking what happened. The first was a surprise hit that was popular among audiences of all ages. M3GAN also took the internet by storm which is always a big win. It was not long before a sequel and spinoff were announced. Everyone seemed excited about the prospect of a M3GAN universe. We talk about how the marketing failed the movie. Was the trailer too campy? Maybe, it is not like the original was super serious. It definitely gave people the wrong impression. What made the first so appealing was how it mixed camp, sass, and creepiness. The camp and sass were in the trailer, but all of the horror was removed.Which is a shame, since M3GAN 2.0 is a pretty fun watch. It is laugh out loud funny, has some great action scenes, and did a better job of developing its main characters. It did all the right things; it just was for the wrong movie. This will have many leaving the theater feeling confused. What does the future hold for the franchise? While there has been no announcement regarding a third movie, Soulm8te is still set to be released in January 2026. Is it already time to reboot the mainline franchise? Or can they salvage something from what they already have? Was M3GAN just a matter of right place, right time? Adventures in Movies! is a part of the Morbidly Beautiful Podcast Network. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) is iconic enough that it's often used as the example for a sequel that's “better than the original”. Join us for a long discussion about one of the most iconic movies ever made. Cinema Spectator is a movie podcast hosted by Isaac Ransom, Juzo Greenwood, and Cameron Tuttle. “He's made of knife.” This week's slimiest horror movie is... Terminator 2: Judgment Day. This film has everything: a corrupted Windows version of Gollum, a reality where John Connor skips leading the resistance and just lives his best life frothing lattes at a Glendale café, and a robot so anatomically gifted he can slice a sandwich with his knife-dick like he's the deli manager at Skynet Whole Foods. Hello and welcome to Redshirt Cinema Club, a weekly podcast about robots that become our dad. This week we continue our series on the best films 1991 with Rob's number one pick, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. This is James Cameron's sequel to his own 1984 noirish tech thriller, this time broadened into a family-friendly blockbuster in line with the career trajectory of its star, bad robot turned good robot, Arnold Schwarzenegger. What will we make of this universally lauded action landmark? How will it fit into our ongoing discussions about machine sentience and artificial life? And what on earth are Rob and Nathan bickering about? Let us know what you think of this format by emailing us at redshirtcinemaclub@gmail.com and support us on Patreon at patreon.com/redshirtcinemaclub for access to two bonus episodes per month as well as our newsletter, The Civilian Observer. We're back to talk about Terminator 2: Judgment Day, a definite childhood fave and a pretty good sequel. We talk about how Sarah Connor has changed, how nobody believes her about what's happening to the world or to her (classic), and about how the Terminator pretty quickly becomes John's proxy daddy, which is weird, but not terrible. Charlie also tries to explain time travel once again. As always, please rate and review us, and feel free to drop us a comment on Spotify or at thejuiciestbitspodcast@gmail.com.Hasta la vista, babies!

Bad Bitch, Cyborg, & Liquid Metal: James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgement Day Go to last week's introduction to James Cameron's The Terminator . . . fast-forward seven years. Sarah Connor is no longer a "damsel in distress". James Cameron has worked his Sigourney Weaver magical transformation on another heroine, creating one of the great female action stars in all of cinema. Once again, Sarah Connor is facing the destruction of the world. However this time she is fully aware of the danger in front, behind, above, and below. Cameron's imagination - coupled with a sheer will and an (at that time) unheard of and unlimited budget, would unleash one of the greatest sequels of all time. Basically a remake of the first film with a series of adjustments to continue the story in a logical manner, Cameron proved that imagination and drive could make up for the simplicity of a plot that had been presented before - Cinema is no stranger to The Apocalypse in its many forms. Take a listen as we reminisce on this incredible film and continue falling down the rabbit hole as we dive further into the struggles, dangers, and promise of AI. It's a good talk. Let us know what you think - gondoramos@yahoo.com. Many, Many Thanks. For those of you who would like to donate to this undying labor of love, you can do so with a contribution at https://www.buymeacoffee.com/watchrickramos - Anything and Everything is appreciated, You Cheap Bastards.

We're joined by our good friend Collin Goode to discuss the groundbreaking visual effects, the themes of humanity vs. technology, Schwarzenegger and Hamilton's unforgettable performances, and how the film's legacy has endured over the decades.

Arnold MonthTerminator 2: Judgement Day [1991]: Episode 337It's time for Arnold's most iconic role, possibly one of the most iconic movies of the 90s, Terminator 2: Judgement Day. It isn't easy trying to create a character that could be as imposing or possibly more imposing than Arnold Schwarzenegger but they did a pretty decent job in this one.#Terminator2JudgementDay #Arnold Schwarzenegger #MovieReview

Burning Bright and Chris Paul dive into one of the greatest sequels of all time...Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and how its warnings about AI, time wars, and humanity's fate hit even harder in 2025. With Elon Musk warning we're at the event horizon of the singularity, is Skynet fiction or prophecy? They explore the battle between AI deception vs. AI learning, the religious undertones of John Connor as a messianic figure, and whether the real villains were the robots, or the humans who tried to stop progress. Plus, how the film eerily mirrors Starlink, Tesla, and the rise of machine intelligence today. Also in this episode: The media's obsession with war narratives, the Deep State's panic over peace talks, and why elites keep pushing a U.S.-Russia conflict. If Terminator 2 was a warning, are we ignoring the signs?

What started as a fairly simple slasher premise (robot gets sent back from the future to kill the mother of the future saviour of mankind but also she gets sent a human protector whom also happens to be the childs father) very quickly evolved into one of the biggest action movies of all time. Terminator 2: Judgement Day has both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton return as the T-800 and Sarah Connor in a race to prevent the future war and protect John Connor from the T-1000, a mimetic polyalloy machine, aided by ground breaking abilities/special effects. In this sequel set eleven years after "The Terminator," young John Connor (Edward Furlong), the key to civilization's victory over a future robot uprising, is the target of the shape-shifting T-1000 (Robert Patrick), a Terminator sent from the future to kill him. Another Terminator, the revamped T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), has been sent back to protect the boy. As John and his mother (Linda Hamilton) go on the run with the T-800, the boy forms an unexpected bond with the robot.
