Podcast by Two Guys No Cup Podcast
The Blackhawks have hired Chicago Native Robert Prevost as their new head coach, while the Vatican has asked Jeff Blashill to become the next pope. Wait, no, I think I reversed that. Doesn't matter, neither one makes sense. It was a painful ending to the season for the Blues, but the guys are here to break it all down, and then laugh at the suffering of those less fortunate than us, just as Pope Blashill would want us to.
The Blues are searching for something in the distance. It's so close they can almost taste it. It's time to release our inhibitions and win a game in Winnipeg. Airport or not, Game 7, here we come!
Could 100 men beat one Silverback Gorilla? Could 100 Connor Hellebuycks save one NHL hockey puck? The world may never have an answer to either of these questions, but the guys are here to give their best hypotheses.
The guys finally reunite to talk about the Blues' return to the postseason, and their unfortunate defeat at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets. Enjoy the sacrifice Stephen's voice made for all of you.
Is it? Could it be? It IS the guys reunited to discuss the Mikko Rantanen trade and pretty much everything Blues that they've missed since last they were together.
In this solo episode, Stephen takes aim at all the top stories in the NHL... from two days ago... Enjoy!
Doug Armstrong broke the rules! But nobody emailed HIM those rules! Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway are now Blues after an exciting offer sheet saga, and the guys have a lot MORE to talk about as well.
The Blues are doing things. But do those things make sense? We'll find out on this journey together.
It's been a while.... but we're back. Shoutout to Nicole.
It's wild times in the NHL, and the Blues are getting scrappy for a playoff spot. The guys cover it all and have your totally not-asked-for Wrestlemania Preview for you to enjoy!
The long-awaited return of the podcast that GQ has called "a podcast," that the Rolling Stone has never even commented on, and that Spotify and Apple are technologically obligated to carry on their podcast feeds.
The St. Louis Blues make the shocking decision to oust Craig Berube and hire Drew Bannister has his (interim) replacement. Stephen processes it in real time. Enjoy.
The Blues have traded Robert Bortuzzo to the New York Islanders for a seventh-round pick. The longest-tenured Blue is longest-tenured no longer!
The St. Louis Blues are in a funk, but the Texas Rangers are soaring higher.
The St. Louis Blues have had a promising start to the season, so of course, that dunce Ian had a kid. Well, here's your podcast dirtbags. It's STEPHEN'S world now, and there's no rules anymore. Snarf up, dillweeds! Pteven, OUT!
The guys are here to give you their Central Division Preview as we prepare for hockey to come back! Plus, a look at the best and worst case scenarios for the Blues.
The Guys talk about the appointment of Brayden Schenn as Blues' captain, go around the league to talk all the latest jersey news, then dive into division previews for the Pacific and Atlantic divisions.
The St. Louis Blues have a lot of hope for the future, unlike Mike Babcock. More like Babcocka-doodle-doesn't work here anymore!
Here's the Metro Division. Our apologies.
The guys return to their annual tradition of ranking the NHL teams by how happy their fan bases should be: from the ones who just have or are just about to win Stanley Cups to those who have had Chuck Fletcher as GM.
All our Taylor Swift girlies, unite! It's time to step away from hockey, because there's no hockey to be discussed anyway, and dive deep into our feelings with a Taylor Swift tier list. It's not good. It's not definitive. But it IS content! And sometimes, that'll do ya.
The hockey world has given us NOTHING to talk about, so we'll make it up as we go along.
The St. Louis Blues have had an extremely quiet offseason so far. So... is that it?
The St. Louis Blues have finally made the 2G1C guys' dreams come true by drafting Dollar Bill (Dalobir) Dvorsky with the 10th overall pick. And how Swede the rest of the draft was, bringing in Otto Stenberg at 25 and Theo Lindstein at 29. But by drafting prospects instead of trading these picks, have the Blues set their timeline to compete back a bit? The guys will discuss in this draft episode.
The St. Louis Blues weigh a massive trade, but Torey Krug seems to have killed it for now. So where does this leave St. Louis 72 hours before the draft? The guys gather for their first official "bonus episode" in ages to discuss just that!
The St. Louis Blues are officially in the post postseason and have hired Mike Babcock's son. The Cardinals are really bad. The Golden Knights are really good. And don't worry, Jordan Schmaltz isn't dead, he's just not an NHL player anymore.
Panger is leaving. Holy Jumpin', that sucks. Plus: -- Vegas is taking it to Florida -- Mike Babcock is back (ugh) -- Ian's trip to Chicago Does anyone even read these notes? Who knows. If you do, text me (Stephen) the word "Kiwi" sometime this week. I'll know why.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have decided on a GM by hiring the last guy who was fired. Typical. The guys are back! Enjoy this latest episode and visit our sponsors at thedrivingcrooner.com

The St. Louis Blues sign Leo Loof. And that's it. There's playoff stuff. And a whole lot more. Enjoy!
There's a little of fingers being pointed in the Blues' organization, and they're all pointing at Jordan Kyrou! Why, though? We'll discuss.
The St. Louis Blues season is over, Doug Armstrong might be on a bender, and a few of the NHL Playoff matchups are Super Effective.
The St. Louis Blues finally lost! Which is what they're SUPPOSED to do right now! But on Wrestlemania weekend, the guys' focus is elsewhere.
The St. Louis Blues are on winning streak, and it's TERRIBLE! So the guys calm their emotions with a little geography lesson.
It's another day, and another Jordan Binnington tantrum on the ice. The guys are tired of talking about it, but they'll devote a whole episode to it, anyway.
The St. Louis Blues continue to struggle. We continue to suffer. But at least we've got cookies.
The St. Louis Blues traded all of their unrestricted free agents, then made surprise additions of Kasperi Kapanen and Jakub Vrána. Where does that leave the franchise and the rebuild... retool... re-whatever? The guys discuss.
The St. Louis Blues have traded their captain, Ryan O'Reilly, to the Toronto Maple Leafs. It's a sad day. But it's also the start of the future.
The era of Vladimir Tarasenko in St. Louis is over. He's been traded to New York Rangers. In 644 career games with St. Louis, Tarsenko finished fifth all-time in goals scored with 262, as well as fifth in points with 553. He graced the cover NHL 17, was a two-time All-Star, notched a 40-goal season in 2015-16. Throughout it all, he was a consummate professional, devoting his time on and off the ice to the city and community he loved. No one will ever forget his heart-warming relationship with pediatric cancer patient Arianna Dougan, which brought more light to the scourge of pediatric cancer. Eventually, the organization "Spread Ari's Light" was formed in her honor (donation link included below) Vova realized his ultimate dream of bringing a Stanley Cup to St. Louis in the summer of 2019. Though the relationship may have soured since then, he is and remains a franchise legend and will receive nothing but love in this podcast. Once, in his article for The Player's Tribune, Vladdy wrote: "I came to St. Louis five years ago. I was a little scared. But here, I have found home. Thank you." Though St. Louis might no longer be his hockey home, here's hoping it remains his true home for a long time to come. Do Svidanya, Vladdy. All the best in New York. On Groundhog Day, the guys ask the kitchen if they serve Deja Vu because the guys are certainly feeling it. Doug Armstrong is hurtling towards the trade deadline faster than Phil Conners towards a train on an all night bender, but Doug's guessing he's gonna swerve first. The guys look back on how the hell the Blues ended up where they now are, facing down the prospect of a total rebuild. Too late for flapjacks?
The St. Louis Blues continue their more-or-less .500 season with an embarrassing loss at home to the hapless Chicago Blackhawks. But they are far from the most embarrassing thing in the NHL this week...
The St. Louis Blues continue to be unpredictable as the injuries mount up. The guys talk about... things... I'm gonna be honest, it's almost 1:00 AM ET as I write this and I just got back from watching the Jaguars mount an all-time NFL comeback. I don't have the willpower to write catchy show notes. So if you read this, congratulations. I hope you enjoyed my suffering. Oh yeah, one last thing: DUUUUUUUUUVAAAAAAAAAALLL!!!!
This episode was recorded on Wednesday. It was posted on Saturday. Because one of the guys is an idiot. No telling who, but his name rhymes with even.
The St. Louis Blues have had a fine week, just fine. 2022 draws to a close, and the guys talk about the Blues trade chips.
The St. Louis Blues seemed to be on a winning streak until Seattle dragged them back down to the depths! Now they wait for a pre-Christmas matchup in Vegas to show us their true identity. Meanwhile... it's cold!
The Blues are improving, the holidays are here, what's there to be upset about?
The St. Louis Blues are woeful. Jordan Binnington is running his mouth. Christmas is coming, but it doesn't feel very holly or jolly for Gateway City Hockey Fans. Let's remember — we love each other and this team. Strap in, folks.
The guys are tired of the back and forth, but they don't see it ending anytime soon. Fortunately, the holidays are here, and the new Pokemon is out, so there are lots of distractions to talk about! Enjoy!
The St. Louis Blues won seven games in a row, after losing eight games in a row. Did they erase the losing streak? No! The guys feel very strongly about that, and a lot of tHanksgiving traditions, and they express their emotions in this episode.
The St. Louis Blues have lost a franchise-record eight games in a row (before a victory over the San Jose Sharks). Is the victory a sign of better things to come? No. Probably not. Let's discuss.
