In wins and fails, the gang reacts to the Florida Panthers and New York Rangers jerseys for their upcoming Winter Classic, Rob Ray takes a stab at the Edmonton Oilers' goaltending situation, and Sam Reinhart is really good at hockey. Adnan Virk joins in on the fun to discuss which Canadian team has the best chance of making a run at the Stanley Cup as we approach US Thanksgiving, if any. Plus, the Chicago Blackhawks are fun, Patrick Roy went to war for his players, and Rose really wants him to watch Stranger Things. In the Panthers Den, Ethan wants everybody to take a deep breath as the Cats have recently gotten things back on track. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

It's been another wild week around here with the Oilers rollercoaster making another loop, and I've got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never ready to recap it all. On today's podcast, I talked about the Oilers' offensive struggles, Darnell Nurse rumours, more injuries, and much more.Just when you think the Edmonton Oilers might be turning the corner, another catastrophic loss sends the fanbase back into a spiral, and that's happened after the 5-1 beatdown in Buffalo on Monday. Not only did the boys lose to the worst team in the Eastern Conference, but they never even looked like they were in the fight. And when you lose a game that badly to a team as mediocre as the Sabres, the result is another round of questions about the team's construction, the guys who are struggling, and everything in between. Never a dull moment around here. Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a Righteous Sack Beating about the LRT construction, then wrapped up the podcast with another round of voicemails. The voicemail was alive this week, and hearing everyone's takes was so much fun. The voicemail is my favourite way to wrap up the show and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts. Another hearty thank you to everyone who contributed to this week's episode. Having all of you in the mix makes the show so much better.Want to leave a voicemail for next week's show? Do it here!

It's taken the Menschwarmers several weeks of mourning to get over the Toronto Blue Jays' World Series loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers, and no amount of broadcast cutaways to 89-year-old Sandy Koufax in the crowd during that intense seven-game series can help. But now, weeks later, after the shivas have ended for that miracle run, The CJN's sports podcasters are back—and they have a lot to look forward to. In this episode, they take note of Deni Avdija, the Portland Trail Blazer who's having a breakout season that could make him the first Israeli to ever make an NBA All-Star team. Then they turn to Zach Hyman, who triumphantly returned to the Edmonton Oilers and immediately logged a career-high 11 hits in a game, after getting injured in last season's Western Conference Finals and missing the Stanley Cup Finals entirely. After that, they look south to college football, where Jake Retzlaff has lead the Tulane Green Wave to tie for first place in the American Conference. There are plenty of accomplishments worth celebrating for Jewish athletes—catch up on what's happening with this week's episode of Menschwarmers. Tyler and Jay are back on Oilersnation Everyday to recap last night's 2-1 overtime win for the Edmonton Oilers over the Philadelphia Flyers. Edmonton dominated the first half of the game but couldn't pull away, eventually allowing the Flyers to tie it late. It's been another wild week around here with the Oilers rollercoaster making another loop, and I've got a fresh episode of Better Lait Than Never ready to recap it all. On today's podcast, I talked about spending a couple of days in Toronto and Montreal, the Oilers' comeback against Columbus, Trent Frederic's fight, and much more. It's a strange time to be an Edmonton Oilers fan. We have high expectations for the team around these parts, and for the third year in a row, their start to the season has been anything but spectacular. It gets even more interesting when I've been to Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal in a single week. Sticking with the Oilers, how could you not talk about the wild game they had against Columbus, when the team both got booed on home ice and also came back for the win? Part of the story from Monday night was the fight Trent Frederic got into with Mathieu Olivier, and it didn't take long to see the mismatch there when the boys started chuckin' 'em.Finally, I wrapped up this week's episode of BLTN with a Righteous Sack Beating about airport food prices, then wrapped up the podcast with another round of voicemails. The voicemail was very quiet again this week, but the limited messages were still fun anyway. The voicemail is my favourite way to wrap up the show and give everyone a chance to share their thoughts. Another hearty thank you to everyone who contributed to this week's episode. Having all of you in the mix makes the show so much better.Want to leave a voicemail for next week's show? Do it here!
