Steven and Wayne go to the first beer festival of 2025, Woodstock 2025! Lots of new breweries and beer plus some of our best friends in the area were there. Listen and make plans to be at Woodstock 2026! 

Wayne preps for a much needed Florida  vacation and Steven has a work related trip at the same time. While Steven is at a local pub in Wisconsin he runs into Mark from Appleton Beer Factory and Mark introduces him to the local brewery scene. When the Boys gets back to South Carolina they share the brews they brought back!

For the first episode of 2025- due to the delays of life for the Boys- Steven and Wayne head to Segra Field in Columbia SC for the Crafted in Carolina Beer Festival hosted by the South Carolina Brewers Guild. Make plans to be at the fest in 2025!!

In preparation for the Holiday season the Boys head to Boiling Springs and chat with Jonathan and Josh from New Groove Artisan Brewing about Black Fridays release of Missed Your Plane 2024, New Years Eve and Woodstock 2025, plus gain some knowledge along the way!

Steven and Wayne return to Bridgeway Brewing in Mauldin, South Carolina to have another flock of beers with Michelle Dodge and head brewer Dean Atkinson and Dean tells the Boys all about them. 

Steven and Wayne travel down to road to The Southern Growl Brewery in Greer and chat with Matt Bowes from The Southern Growl Brewery & Shawn Waggoner from the SC Brewers Guild about the 3 tier distribution system in South Carolina. Download listen and share!

Steven and Wayne take a short drive up to the mountains in North Carolina to Asheville where they go to The Mule for the 2nd Annual Southern Lager Invitational presented by Riverbend Malt House. Download, listen and share!

For the 2nd year in a row,  The Boys have been invited down to Augusta to cover the Augusta Craft Beer Festival. This year Wayne had to work, so Steven takes us on a journey to see which breweries came and also got feedback from the festival goers. Download, listen and share! 

When Cuzzin throws a beer festival you gotta go! Wayne heads down to Anderson for the North Main Commons Beer Festival at Magnetic South Brewery, where the beer was flowing and friends everywhere!

The Boys head west to Clemson to make new friends and meet up with old ones at Lil Ole Beer Festival! Non stop fun from start to finish!

The Boys venture down to Piedmont and meet up with Tribble at Tribble's Bar & Grill and talk about the looming insurance crisis affecting breweries, bars, restaurants and the like here in South Carolina. 

The Boys head to Boiling Springs for Woodstock 2024....well Wayne was late due to his day job. Steven runs into old friends and make some new ones, then once Wayne gets there things pick up for sure! During an afternoon off of work Steven stops by Lowes Foods on Pelham road in Greenville SC for the Burial tap takeover and runs into our good friend Ditti and others. To kick off 2024 The Boys head to Thomas Creek Brewery and enter the 2024 Chili Cookoff! We talk to some of the competitors and afterwards chat with Trey & Derek about the contest and a couple other things. Download, listen and share!

In the final event for the Boys in 2023, Steven and Wayne head to Fluor Field in downtown Greenville to have some fun and meet with the fine folks at Savannah River Brewing, Holy City Brewing, Southern Barrel Brewing, Fizza, Thomas Creek Brewery, Voodoo Brewing and Pangaea Brewing. The Boys had a busy holiday season with family but we will be bringing you some awesome content here in 2024! Thanks to John Sharkey and the Greenville Craft Beer Festival!! 

Wayne heads over to New Groove and talks to Josh and Jonathan about their annual Black Friday stout takeover plus some Woodstock 2024 and more! 

Wayne takes a ride down to Junction 800 in Columbia to the Hop Forward- Best of SC Craft Beer Festival thanks to the South Carolina Brewers Guild while Steven enjoys Family Fun Day at his Fire Station. The Boys take a hike over to Stone Avenue in downtown Greenville to visit Chad and Brewmaster John of Tetrad Brewing Company where family and the power of four makes Tetrad a mainstay in the community and craft beer scene in the Upstate South Carolina area. A episode almost 2 years in the making!

The Boys head back to Habitap and assist Candice with another fabulous brew day! The Cold One with the Boys Cold IPA was successful on its first go round that we wanted to do it again, but Candice being the mastermind she is added a little twist. We can't wait till its ready to pour in our glasses!

Steven & Wayne take a short ride to Boiling Springs SC and see their good friends Jonathan and Josh from New Groove Artisan Brewing for Crispi Fest 2023. While there they meet some new peeps and run into a couple old friends too! Special thanks to Jonathan and Josh for letting us in!

Wayne the Sage takes a little trek up Highway 221 to Chesnee, South Carolina and chats with Arnie of Outside Influence Brewing at their soft opening and gives a preview of what to expect at the brewery. 

Steven and Wayne take a trip up to Asheville, North Carolina- not to brewery hop (thats for another time) but to learn what a malt house is. Brent from Riverbend Malt House gives the Boys a tour and then sits down and gives us the history and inner workings. As an added bonus Shawn joins the interview not as the owner of Plankowner Brewing but as the Sales rep for the Carolinas for Riverbend. Check it out!

This week's adventure finds the Mayor & the Sage taking a short trip to Piedmont SC to a hidden gem of the Upstate SC craft beer scene- Golden Grove Farm & Brew. Andrew shares some Cold Beer, stories of how Golden Grove came about, and all the things they have to offer which is more than most breweries- beer, cider, pizza, wings, disc golf, music, fishing pond etc. Talk about #SupportLocal ! Grab a cold one and sit a spell and enjoy the conversation! 

This weeks adventure finds the Boys in a familiar yet different place- Bullwinkle's Tavern in Five Forks SC. Once they get there they find out there is a bottle share going on!

The Boys take a ride out Highway 153 to Highway 123 and follow the Orange Paws to Kite Hill Brewing Company- Clemson's First Craft Brewery! There they meet up with Bobby (co owner) and Mike (head brewer) the day after Kite Hill's inaugural beer fest and talk about the brews, sweat and tears into making Clemson's first brewery a powerhouse in the Upstate SC Craft Beer Scene!    Featured Song : Things I Should Have Known by Kris Hitchcock

Episode 41 finds Steven trekking down to Columbia where he joins Eddie and Eddie 2.0 from Clocktower Taproom at Columbia's oldest craft brewery, River Rat Brewing where they brew Eddie's latest collaboration - 1700 American IPA! They chat with Tony & Katie from River Rat about brewing the beer and what River Rat's about, and also chat with special guest Chase aka Nutmeg2Palmetto! After the break (3 weeks later) Steven meets up with Wayne and Jer Bear from the Clocktower Taproom to drink the beer before Eddie's birthday bash! Featured Break Song- Kris Hitchcock: The Joint   

Our next adventure finds Steven and Wayne taking a hop, skip and a jump to a familiar place off of the hustle and bustle of Woodruff Road- Habitap Brewing in Greenville SC. The Boys lend a hand to head brewer Candice and her assistant Everette where they turn hops, grain, water and yeast into our next collaboration brew! Now they just need to name it!

After wrapping up their interview with the team at Replay, the fellas sat down again with social media guru Andrew as well as being joined by Charlotte Beerfluencer @RickSpeed for a staple segment a little forgotten lately... What're We Drinking? After they shared the good stuff, they got a bit of an announcement from The Producer.

The fellas put some miles on the tires and get their retro on in Fort Mill to catch up with the Head Brewer Logan and Taproom Manager Ryan of Replay Brewing Company. From Animaniacs to Nintendo and everything in between, find out everything they boys can about this little business making waves in both the South Carolina and Charlotte scene. 

Wayne and Chase have their side hustles in BrewTube land and they've some amazing people along the way. The show welcomes in Brian the Beer Snob, Malory & Chu of ImperfectlyMeCrafts and Dave from Dave's TV to talk creator growth, supporting local through content creation, and of course... BEER! 

The time has finally come for the boys to see all the fruits of the labor. They celebrate their first brewing collaboration, the Not a Pirate Ship Dunkelweizen, with Plankowner Brewing and the brains behind it that are Shawn, Kyle, and Darion. Don't worry theres's more! Lots of barrel-aged releases on this festival day for the Plankowner crew and join us for reaction from influencers @brewpugsc, @tatasandtaps, @adam.drinks.beer and many more from around the South Carolina craft scene. 

We know you've gotten used to these shorter episodes of late but guess what? We just couldn't pack this one so tight. That's because our great friends Jonathan Duke and Josh Dodson of New Groove Artisan Brewery threw one heck of a party for Woodstock 2023 and the boys spoke with 19, that's right NINETEEN, different breweries from all around the country so sit back and enjoy our spoils of war plus a couple extra special guest and a Best in Show wrap-up with fellow beerfluencer @beermegvl. 

The boys went and did a thing and hopefully it was the first of many. That's right, the very FIRST Upstate Beer Boys Brew Day collaboration and they got to do so with old friends Shawn, Kyle, and Darion out of Plankowner Brewing Company.
