Christopher is the founder and executive director of Bottleshare, a fundraising and fund distribution nonprofit organization for the craft beverage industry that provides emergency funds to members of the craft beverage industry when they experience extreme hardships that prevent them from working or producing an income. Christopher was inspired to create Bottleshare when he received support from friends and family members after he was badly injured in a car accident. From that moment, he's devoted himself to helping others in the craft brewing industry who need help. The “brewstillery” movement – the creation of liquor and beer under the same roof – will inspire more barrel-aged beers, wine-inspired beers and liquors inspired by beer. Many upstart breweries are focused on local partnerships and relationships in order to build a strong local community base. Quotes “I remember the day I went from being a victim to being a survivor, and it's all about mentality. You can be (a victim), you can be (a survivor), you can be both at the same time. It's up to you.” - Christopher “Bottleshare gave me something to live for. Something to strive towards. Something to be a survivor for. I needed it. Not only am I helping other people, but Bottleshare is helping me on a daily basis as well.” - Christopher “You didn't just say, I want to survive and thrive for my own well-being, you found the motivation in helping others.” - Joseph “I get to live a life where my daily goal is ‘who can I help today?'” - Christopher “A gap will be bridged between liquor and beer. As we continue to see more ‘brewstilleries' opening up, we're going to see a lot more creative collaborations between the two liquids.” - Christopher “One of the issues I see with local breweries is that they are underfunded and they don't value marketing and advertising. For the most part, you don't really see them advertising and you don't really see them trying to build that following because they don't have the funding or, if they do, they want to spend it elsewhere.” - Joseph

Check out samples and demos at https://therealvoice.com Speaking of stouts, despite what you may have heard, and even what numbers may have said, Stouts are here to stay. Apparently, the beverage, like many things, took a hit with shutdowns. Most people, myself included, prefer a draught over a can or bottle. “Stout Sells” seems to be the word with the beverage seemingly as popular as ever, including with those under 30. Don't take my word for it - the Irish Times has more https://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/food-and-drink/the-state-of-stout-despite-its-doomsayers-the-national-tipple-is-here-to-stay-1.4695325 Another story from the UK because it's Jeremy Clarkson, from the proper version of Top Gear, who is producing Hawkstone on the Cotswold farm or ‘Diddly Squat Farm” as he calls it… you may have seen on his “Clarkson's Farm” show on Amazon Prime. While he says some incredibly dumb things, like the original slogan, I like the one that they could actually print - “hard to make but easy to drink”. Things I learned from his story, in other countries you can order beer on Amazon. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz/jeremy-clarksons-dream-p-up-25550401 And what to get for the beer lover on your gift list? Well if they're not close enough to Lucy & Howe Brewing in Vermont to Get a bottle share https://mailchi.mp/cff7f5f4f786/beer-for-all-weather-10704589, here's a list I found from Hopculture. CBP Stories showcase individual members who have an inspiring story to tell. Christopher Glenn, Founder & Executive Director of Bottleshare, was struck by a drunk driver back in 2018 while on his way home after closing up the Tasting Room at Dry County Brewing Company. Among a plethora of injuries, the accident also caused permanent neurological damage. Through his recovery, which continues to this day, the Craft Community rallied behind him through support and fundraising efforts. Through the love and support of those around him, Christopher was inspired to return what he received in his time of need; thus Bottleshare was born. Bottleshare is a fund raising & fund distribution 501c3 nonprofit organization for the Craft Beverage Industry. They raise funds to distribute emergency financial assistance to businesses and workers who experience extreme hardships due to injury, illness, or disaster. In 2020 they had a goal of granting out $20,000. "Where the h*ll am I going to get $20k?" was the question Christopher asked himself at the beginning of the year. By December 2020 Bottleshare beat their goal by 600%, granting over $124,000 to workers, businesses & families in need within the Craft Beverage Industry. "The only reason we were able to achieve what we did is because of this incredible community to which we all belong. We owe it all to them." Bottleshare has grown exponentially over the past year, becoming a national charity organization, and they seem to just be getting started. "We Brew Hope'' is their slogan, and they do just that. Christopher Glenn is the Founder and Executive Director for Bottleshare. Bottleshare is a nonprofit organization with a mission to grant emergency funds to members of the craft beverage industry. Applicants who experience extreme hardships that prevent them from working are given monetary grants that allow them to focus on recovery and healing. Christopher first joined the craft brew industry by filling in shifts at a brewery where his sister worked, eventually becoming bar manager. At Bottleshare, Christopher leverages his marketing, sales, and customer service skills from his previous experience in real estate to serve people in need. In this episode… When tragedy strikes, the most natural response is to focus on your own problems. Christopher Glenn did the opposite.  Christopher suffered a traumatic brain injury after being struck by a drunk driver in 2018. In the wake of this massive ordeal, he was supported by his community of fellow craft beer lovers. Taken aback by the overwhelming response, his only question was, “How can I make this happen for others?” In 2020 his new organization, Bottleshare, exceeded their goal of raising $20,000 in grants for suffering families in the craft beer community by 600% — handing out $124,000. How did Christopher find purpose and fulfillment through serving others after extreme hardship? On this episode of Pitcher This!, Darren Fox talks with Bottleshare Founder and Executive Director Christopher Glenn about turning a passion for craft beer into an opportunity for service. Christopher talks about how Bottleshare's program works, its marketing and outreach strategy, and how you can support Bottleshare's mission.

Christopher Glenn is the Owner and Executive Director of BottleShare Through donations, events, and collaborations, Bottleshare supports industry workers and families experiencing adversity outside of the workplace, reciprocating the love and strength that characterizes craft culture and the people that make it so special. His approach of fundraising is rooted in what uplifts the Bottleshare and its partners; a love for craft beer, wine, spirits, and an even deeper love for the beautiful community to which we all belong. When a fellow craft beverage worker is experiencing an emergency or extreme hardship, Christopher, his team, and his partners, focus not only to help them financially, but to lift their spirits, give them something to celebrate, and share their story in such a way that they feel their very own hope renewed. Recently, he partnered with the Brewers Association (BA) to create the "Believe In Beer" relief fund to support breweries and state brewers guilds impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
