Un ancien commandant ADF, aujourd'hui repenti, témoigne. Il était aux premières loges de ce processus d'allégeance : « Quand le groupe a rejoint l'État islamique, les règles ont changé. Musa Seka Baluku [leader des ADF, NLDR] a commencé à faire référence à un homme qui lui donnait des instructions. Chaque commandant devait mener un certain nombre de raids, tuer des civils... Et ramener des photos, pour les envoyer comme preuve du travail accompli. »Contrer l'idéologie radicale propagée par les ADF n'est pas chose aisée. Notre deuxième Grand Reportage y est consacré. Pour justifier le recours à cette violence extrême, les ADF s'appuient sur une interprétation réductrice, déformée du Coran. Très peu en sortent indemnes, même lorsqu'ils ont été recrutés par la ruse… ou forcés. Issa, un jeune homme endoctriné dans son village aujourd'hui repenti, déplore : « Je me sens mal d'avoir été trompé et je me sens très mal quand je pense à ce qu'on a fait : avoir versé le sang de personnes innocentes. Pendant 6 ans, on m'a berné avec une vision fausse de ce qu'est le jihad. »

Today on Wake Up Tri-Counties Kewanee Mayor Gary Moore joined us and addressed Wednesday's Kewanee Planning Commission Meeting where the commission voted to approve a permit for a Marijuana Dispensary to go in at the former Broken Chimney location. Wethersfield Superintendent Dr. Andrew Brooks criticized the idea of dispensary being 250 feet from the school. Representatives from Bridgeway also spoke about the dispensary being so close to their treatment center. Mayor Moore addressed these concerns and stated that he supported the dispensary though if most Kewanee residents were to express opposition to the dispensary, the Mayor made it clear that he would vote for what people want as a representative of the people. The Mayor also discussed Monday's Kewanee City Council Meeting.
