This week Dr. Andre Rabe joins the podcast to discuss his latest book, "Processing Mimetic Reality: Harmonizing Alfred North Whitehead and Rene Girard". What, if anything, does Process Philosophy have in common with Mimetic theory? Rabe seeks to answer this question, not by collapsing the two schools of thought into one, but rather seeking to harmonize them. Dr. Rabe demonstrates that deep, broad, and significant harmonies exist between process philosophy and mimetic theory. Girard enriches Whitehead through exemplification, and Whitehead enriches Girard through an expansion of the overall narrative and deeper ontological insights into the processes that made us human. The result is an illuminating unveiling of the biases we developed in becoming human and a proposal for how we may access the more creative and beneficial aspects of desire that lie latent within these processes. I really enjoyed this conversation and even got emotional at the end! Enjoy. We can get through uncertainty and fear by looking at situations from a more spiritual perspective. Perfect love casts out fear, and through God, we can see beauty and possibility in chaos. Andre Rabe, author, missionary, and creator of Mimesis Academy, joins us in this episode to share what he has learned through years of reflection and meditation on the nature of God; a God not of control but of possibilities. Pulling from the last episode, we work on building our spiritual foundation in the knowledge that God is love, He is with us, and we are connected to all things through Him. In this episode, we cover: The character and nature of God as expressed through creation and diversity Appreciating God's love for you and extending that grace to others God as a leader, not a micromanager _ *New episodes release every other Monday *Connect with Keith on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. In this message our special friend, Andre Rabe, shares wonderful insights about God’s desire for each of us. Often desire comes from our needs or perceived lack but our Father desires us out of His absolute fullness. Jesus came to retell the human story, not one of lack and insufficiency, but of eternal oneness with God and receiving overwhelming grace. He loves you out of His fullness! You are accepted, loved and embraced by the Father! God’s greatest compliment is that He doesn’t need you - He desires you! This week, we were blessed to be joined again by Andre Rabe. His topics emphasized how important it is to get other perspectives when coming to conclusions about the Gospel. After all, Jesus Himself offered different views of scripture than many theologians of the day. As Jesus revealed, scripture is often more positive than it may look at first glance.
Building upon his last message "The Coming Christ," Andre Rabe unpacks the scriptures and gives a revolutionary understanding of how Jesus interpreted the Bible.

Andre Rabe joins the podcast today! We get to know Andre and ask him what his responses are to various ways in which we, as people, speak condemnation into our being. We also talk about desire versus need which is an amazing teaching from Andre's new book Desire Found Me. Visit Andre Rabe's website www.AlwaysLoved.net.
Andre Rabe, speaking about the art of interpretation, points out that we are a story, and we all try to find meaning in the events that make up the story of our lives. He shared from Luke, where a specific story deals with the art of interpretation. He explains how scripture can help us interpret our own story, so that we can begin to understand the story that God wants us to be part of.
Andre Rabe brings an excellent word clarifying the Truth of the Gospel and how God uses each one of us to convey that truth. When you show love to someone, it is a demonstration of God being "Himself" in and through you.

Andre Rabe shared from his heart that our thoughts about Him do not define God. His thoughts about us, are who we are. God is obsessed with us! The enormity of what God has done for humanity in Christ Jesus, is an insight that has stirred such thankfulness in us. This gratitude is what propelled our lives from the first day we heard and understood. Find out more about Andre and Mary-Anne Rabe at hearhim.net.
