Revelation Riddle - Part 4

David Pawson Ministry Podcast

Part 4. How is it Interpreted? David Pawson regards the book of Revelation as “probably the most important book in the New Testament for the Church to be studying right now for the very practical purpose for which it was written”, namely, to be “a manual for martyrdom”. Jesus provides encouragement to Christians facing persecution, exhorting them to endure and overcome. The book has present and future relevance for believers, and while it is addressed to the believers in the first-century AD, Jesus' words and the prophecies (some yet to be fulfilled) speak just as powerfully to Christians and the Church today. The many competing interpretations have caused confusion, particularly in relation to prophetic symbolism and the timings and nature of future events. If there are “as many riddles as there are words” here, then David demystifies and solves the book's riddle by explaining the more controversial, widely debated, and variously interpreted middle chapters, while also advocating reading Revelation in the plainest sense where possible. Jesus, in his compassion, has warned believers to prepare for his Second Coming. They are to remain faithful by upholding morals, resisting corruption, and identifying and opposing deception (false teaching), and, if necessary, enduring persecution. David unpacks Revelation's symbolism while addressing divisive subjects. Regarding the (Secret) Rapture, he argues that the book prepares believers to live through the Big Trouble (Tribulation), and adopts a pre-millennial position. Jesus promises to return to avenge the blood of the martyrs, while warning that backsliding believers will lose their place in the Book of Life and the New Jerusalem. Yet faithful overcomers will receive their inheritance. God is in control and Christians must ready themselves for Christ's return. Revelation's message is not just that “Jesus wins” but that he wants every believer to win” with him.

But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these. (Judges 13:23) Six ways in scripture how what we are going through is to be interpreted. *Sermon Summary:* The sermon explores the significance of interpreting life's events through a scriptural lens, drawing from the story of Manoah and his wife's encounter with an angel. It emphasizes that while initial reactions might be fear or apprehension, a deeper understanding reveals God's loving providence and purpose, particularly when viewed in light of fulfilled prophecy and the ultimate sacrifice of Christ. The message encourages listeners to trust in God's timing, to observe life's experiences, and to recognize that even challenging circumstances can be opportunities for growth and a testament to God's grace, ultimately leading to a strengthened faith and a hopeful anticipation of His return.

In this KE Report company update, we speak with Mike Burke, Director and VP of Corporate Development at Sitka Gold (TSX.V: SIG - OTCQB: SITKF - Frankfurt: 1RF), to recap the latest drill results from the Rhosgobel zone, part of the company's large-scale RC Gold Project in Yukon. Key Interview Highlights: Strong early results from Rhosgobel: Holes 3 and 5 returned up to 152m of 1.0 g/t Au (hole 3), including higher-grade intervals - all starting near surface. Expansion underway: 18 holes drilled at Rhosgobel to date; ~4,000m of 10,000m planned now completed. Strike length now extends 900m based on step-out drilling. Open at depth: Mineralization traced from surface to 200m depth, with visible gold in deeper intervals still awaiting assays. Interpreted as steeply dipping, east-west trending vein system. How it compares: Rhosgobel could rival the Blackjack and Eiger zones (2.8Moz combined) in tonnage, with comparable or better grades. What's next: Two rigs remain active at Rhosgobel; two more now drilling at the Pukelman-Contact zone. Potential to deliver an initial Rhosgobel resource by Q1 2026. Sitka is advancing four key zones across the RC Gold Project in 2025, targeting both resource growth and new discoveries.   If you have any follow up questions for Mike please email me at Fleck@kereport.com.  Click here visit the Sitka Gold website to learn more about the Company.

Title: "Special Counsel Dismisses Trump's Election Subversion Case: A Triumph for President-Elect"The dismissal of the controversial case surrounding Donald Trump's efforts to overturn his 2020 electoral defeat marks a significant victory for the president-elect, paving the way for a more peaceful transition to office. This decision, delivered by the Special Counsel, conclusively draws the curtain on heated allegations of electoral subversion, creating a more reassuring political atmosphere. Erecting a legal dam against the wave of disputes, the Special Counsel's decision ensures the preservation of the democratic order and reinforces the sanctity of the election results.Interpreted by many as a major win for the president-elect, the dismissal serves to underscore the resilient nature of the democratic process amidst allegations of electoral misconduct. The strength of the judiciary's independence comes to the fore, affirming its role as a core safeguard of democratic principles. Donald Trump, the former president, had been vehemently contesting the authenticity of the 2020 election results, launching exhaustive and lengthy legal battles. His steadfast offensive aimed to undermine the election results and to discount votes from key battleground states, thus sparking a state of national ambiguity. The dismissal of this case serves as a refutal to such abstract claims, providing an instant respite to skeptics who had been worrying about the future of American democracy amidst swirling claims of vote rigging. Politically, this implies a more conciliatory time in Washington, devoid of the anguish echoing from the once-continually raging electoral battleground. This decision does not merely end the contention regarding the electoral process; it fortifies the credibility of the president-elect in the eyes of his supporters and his skeptics. It serves as an official reassurance that the president-elect won fairly, crucial for establishing trust in the president-elect ahead of his administration's inauguration. Time will tell how this dismissal will influence the future political climate, yet for now, it allows a degree of political stability and sets the stage for peaceful democratic progress. In contrast, Jack Smith, a noted political analyst, has been closely observing the developments over this case. Speaking on the dismissal, Smith stated that "this decision is a testament to the integrity of the American electoral process. The dismissal of Trump's claims highlights the robustness of our legal system in upholding democratic values."Smith's perspective on the matter emphasizes the importance of this dismissal as a beacon of democratic resilience. It showcases to the world the strength of American democracy and its ability to withstand systemic challenges. However, he also noted that it is essential not to ignore the profound impact of these disputes on the national psyche. "While we celebrate the dismissal, it's critical not to forget the tension that such allegations can create," Smith added. Clearly, the dismissal of Donald Trump's election subversion case continues to have broad implications on the political landscape of America. It represents a significant milestone, both for the President-elect and the nation, ushering in a new phase of political stability.

In this episode, our founder Joshua Charles recounts how, in order to solve “my unsolvable dilemma as a protestant” (see Episode #1), he went to Scripture to see how doctrinal disputes were resolved. In the process, he discovered a disturbing fact: no one in Scripture interpreted it on their own. In other words, no one in Scripture was doing what he thought was normative Christian practice as a protestant. On the contrary, everyone was under apostolic authority: the authority of the Apostles themselves, or those they had appointed. Outside this line of authority, no one was empowered to interpret Scripture on their own. Despite the fact that his conversion to the Catholic Faith was still years away, Joshua realized even then that what he was seeing in Scripture was simply not compatible with protestantism (or at the very least, most forms of it). #97 - Illinois' Cannabis Per-Se Limit: An Impossible Standard as Interpreted?

In 2016, Illinois decriminalized small amounts of cannabis. Under the 2016 law, those caught with up to 10 grams of marijuana faced fines of $100 to $200. The law also changed the state's zero-tolerance policy for driving under the influence. In doing so, Illinois created a "per-se" limit. A "per-se" limit is the concept that allows the state to assume you're guilty of driving under the influence even if the state is unable to prove impairment. These arbitrary thresholds have created complications for cannabis users in Illinois, particularly during traffic stops. Many individuals find themselves charged with intoxication despite not being impaired. From what I've been able to gather, beyond the low threshold levels, the real concern is the methodology that is practiced by one of the only labs in the state of Illinois that performs this type of testing in response to the change in the DUI statute in 2016. “I play the double bass as a professional musician. I don't consider myself a piano player, but I play a little bit of piano, of course. Every musician should play a little bit of piano to understand harmony. And if you want to compose or to arrange music, you need to know basic piano. So I play a little bit of piano. Actually, I started to play guitar before the double bass, because it was not so easy to get a double bass 40 years ago. My father was a bass player, but he never had a bass at home. So I started to play guitar first, and I was really into Bossa Nova and those chords from João Gilberto, and it was a big influence in my early years. But then I found a double bass when I was sixteen or seventeen– it was a terrible double bass, but it was enough to start with. Today, that sounds kind of late to start learning an instrument, but back then it wasn't so terrible. Now you have small double basses that kids of nine, ten years old can start playing. In the eighties, if you were small, you could not play double bass, basically.”Bernardo Moreira is one of the most active Portuguese double bassists. He has performed as a guest soloist with Gulbenkian, Metropolitan de Lisboa, and Nacional do Porto orchestras, and gained prominence for his collaborations with international artists, including the legendary Benny Colson, Freddie Hubbard, Wayne Shorter, Art Farmer, and Kenny Wheeler. He is a regular collaborator with many jazz musicians in Portugal, participating in formations such as the Maria João/Mário Laginha quartet, the Mário Laginha trio, and singer Cristina Branco. “I had so many people around me when I was young– famous poets like Ary dos Santos, one of Portugal's greatest poets of the 20th century. Sometimes he would be there talking with my mother, and I had this information that was getting in, but I wasn't aware of it. And then in the early days, when I had just started playing, I was really into modern jazz, which was very instrumental, so I didn't really pay attention to lyrics. It took me a while to get interested in Portuguese music, and in that mixture between jazz, Fado music and Portuguese popular music. For a while I was into the importance of a good poem. Now what moves me most of the time is that mixture of cultures— trying to do something that you cannot find in other countries. If you are into a lot of American jazz, for instance, you can play great music, but you are always playing music that started elsewhere, you know? And for a European like me, it's challenging to try and find what makes you different in such a big market. What sound can you try to create that you wouldn't hear in France or in Japan or in New York? So that's a very difficult challenge, actually, because you try to get really into your heart and your emotion. And I think Portugal has a lot of good emotions in its popular music that you don't find elsewhere. The music I make always has a kind of nostalgic ambience. It's not always sadness. It's a melancholic approach that is very hard to put into words– you just need to feel it.”Bernardo Moreira is one of the most active Portuguese double bassists.
