This week, I talk to business strategist Abbi Miller about navigating pivots in both personal and professional life. Abbi was on the podcast five years ago, and her perspective on time management, which she calls Time Pessimism, is a concept I've found helpful ever since. Since then, much has changed for her both personally and collectively (including becoming a mom). In this episode, we catch up on everything she's learned since then, including how to work with the muse when it strikes and how she sets up systems to support that flow. We also discuss how to deal with cynicism and find ambition again, and her strategies for effective quarterly goal-setting. Plus, Abbi gets me to open up about some of my own career changes and how I've been navigating them within my life. And you can hear me talk about it more on her show, where she had me on as a guest too. S6, EP 189This week we share the Chaos table with Monica Garcia, a long-time friend of Gaby's and also Founder of a non-profit called The Love Yourself Foundation. Monica created this foundation for many reasons that she shares with us but ultimately its creation is aimed at connecting self-love of an individual to the healing Community and the Environmental healing of the planet. This foundation began through reaching out to individuals online & then branched out to in person events through Art & Music, meditation, open mic nights, and for those working in the hospitality world in Las Vegas area. Now the foundations reach has grown & expanding to create I AM Love which is the next chapter for this non-profits future outreach program. We find out why this soon to be launched Telehealth based service is personally connected to Monica and how it was inspired by someone very close to her. Of course we chat about music and healing, taking care of yourself, Hertz & vibrations, sound bowl healing, yoga, mental health, self-love, finding Gratitude, leaning on Community, tips to give yourself some self-love, Reiki, tips on what to do for a friend who may be struggling and so much more...we unpack it all! Then our round table question! Join us, sit down, relax, and tune into this conversation with us at the Chaos table! More about Monica Garcia - Mónica García founded a non-profit called the Love Yourself Foundation in 2018. The mission of this organization is aimed at connecting self-love of an individual to the healing of the community, and the environmental healing of the planet. Mónica received her undergraduate education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in Sociology and Environmental Studies, and has her ICF Accredited Holistic Career and Life Coaching certification from the Institute for Career Coaching. S 6, EP 188Welcome to the After Party, the conversation continues...Finding friends who keep you grounded is so important in your creative journey and who bring different things into your world that are super helpful. Sometimes technology does things that make you so frustrated on multiple levels that you want to just jump out the window (not really but the sentiment is there). Then Jozlyn shares a big decision she has recently made for her voiceover career, that sparks a shared conversation amongst the whole gang. Plus we have some more fun with a fun exercise that was inspired by a social media share from Jane, where we all have to act out the same sentence, but with different types of character voices! The sentence we use is "What's meant for you will be"...Join the chaos and listen in on the after party conversation with us!Terrance Addison - https://terranceaddisonactor.com/Ken Dillon - https://kendillonvo.com/Jane Aquino - https://www.thejaneaquino.com/Gaby Borja - https://www.instagram.com/gabrielaborja.vo/Jozlyn Rocki - https://jozlynrocki.com/Lloyd Waller - https://droidwallervo.com/Hi thx for listening in on the Creative Chaos conversation! Now, Steve is charting new territory as a recording artist. In 2024, he released "Broken Heart Insurance," his debut album of humorous yet heartfelt alt-country songs, recorded in Nashville and produced by Grammy-winner Alison Brown. With a career spanning comedy writing, film, and music, Steve is the perfect podcast guest for hosts looking for someone who can deliver captivating stories, a touch of the absurd, and unexpected insights into the creative process. S 5, EP 172 This weeks Special Guest - Raven Harris-Keim. We chat with Raven about how the support of her family helped foster her creativity and creative journey, how pressing pause is not quitting in the creative writing process and Raven shares from her perspective as an author who chooses to give a voice to her story! Plus we get to hear some fun chaos in the beginning - Angela treks across many miles to be early but barely on time, Jozlyn quits her Diner day job and scores her biggest VO audition to date, and Raven contends with Mother Nature on her way home to see family during the Summer break..Plus why did an 8 foot alligator cross Jozlyn's path?!?More about our Guest - Raven Harris-Keim, was born in the historical town of Lawrence Kansas. Growing up, her love for nature and animals, nurtured by her father, drew her to the field of animal science. She's currently an animal technician for a laboratory in Salt lake city Utah, and in her second year of a degree in Animal health and behavior. Animals have always been Ravens drive, but when posed with the question “Who are you?” The answer has always been the same; "I am a writer". First she published a short story, a science fiction book called ‘Ineffable', when Raven was 18, and before then she'd spent years scribbling stories into school notebooks, and entertaining family with whimsical tales of fantastical lands, aliens, and adventures. Finally, after years of tireless work, she finished ‘Nothing is beautiful', her magnum opus. The recent audio book rendition of this amazing novel, is narrated by the talented Jack de Golia who has brought new life to the story, and Raven is so excited to share it with you all. 'Nothing is Beautiful' - Life is hard for Sharkey and the other scrappers in Lawrence. After the Great Oil Crisis the Earth became a hot, wild, dangerous place. Those that could reach the portals left the planet long ago. Those left behind live a desperate and brutal existence, surviving on the bones of a ruined civilization, fighting and killing each other in a world taken back by the earth. But Sharkey has hope. Can he and his band of followers make it through the Nothing alive? And if they do, will they find the salvation they are looking for?Nothing is Beautiful is a post apocalyptic western sci fi story of love and friendship, terror and loss, and fierce determination in the face of seemingly insurmountable adversity. You will not soon forget this compelling and original book.Raven's Links - https://www.audible.com/author/Raven-Harris-Keim/B07GR3Q94Zhttps://www.amazon.com/stores/Ray-Harris-Keim/author/B0Support the Show. This is a shareable podcast, with a group of creatives, documenting their creative voice over & on-camera journeys to inspire all of us as we navigate our own paths! In this reflective monologue, Cameron delves into the importance of remembering our true selves and our interconnectedness with the universe. He discusses the frequent amnesia we experience regarding our courage, experiences, and growth. Cameron emphasizes the cyclical and rhythmic nature of life and the importance of engaging in creative processes to alchemize our experiences into expressions. He touches upon overcoming fears, the evolution of self, and the significance of self-love and environment in personal development. Cameron also highlights the power of specificity in self-inquiry and the essential role of the body in feeling and expressing. He challenges listeners to permit their raw, imperfect creativity to surface without the constraints of perfectionism or societal rules. Ultimately, Cameron encourages listeners to just 'make something bad' and enjoy the creative freedom it brings. 00:00 The Importance of Remembering 01:52 Cycles and Rhythms of Life 05:07 Self-Reflection and Identity 06:58 The Power of Expression 12:13 Embracing Imperfection 14:03 Conclusion

S5, EP 161 The whole gang finally dive into and share about their individual P2P choices since launching and building their voice over & on-camera careers. They discuss P2P platforms they're still going strong on since launching. Which ones they decided to let go of for different reasons. Then other P2P platforms they added into the mix to create more auditions to discover. Also they touch on adding Agents and Production rosters to help boost their access to auditions and increase their chances to book. Here we share real parts of our creative journeys, as we navigate our own individual voice over and on-camera careers. This is a From the Vault episode from before our Pod merger! Here we touch on different choices about our booths as we were all closer to the beginning of launching and getting our individual VO careers off the ground. This is definitely a throwback episode, short and sweet, about us chatting and sharing, our booth goals and a tiny bit of internet chaos…Of course we get interrupted due to technical issues...Jozlyn froze while intently listening to Angela's booth drama & moving plans. It's Chaos! So we'll pick back up on where we are at now, with our current booth drama and goals soon...Stay tuned! *Booth details at the time we recorded this episode - *Jozlyn's referring to her Audiomute blanket, T-Pins, & the fact that she had her booth in multiple closets throughout her house, in order to find the perfect space and accommodate her families needs as well!*Angela was getting ready for a BIG move from Las Vegas back to Colorado.*Gaby was getting her home booth up and running, while adjusting her space.*Lloyd was still training and hadn't built his booth space yet. Now we have definitely expanded, added and grown with our booth and on-camera audition set-ups thus far...BUT wanted to revisit this episode again after we blended our two podcasts together!
