Will, Dylan, and Mike Odum convene for a post-GDC discussion. Dylan regails us with stories of adventures faraway, from Bit Bash to Train Jam to GDC. His Train Jam game, Track Trek, was made in collaboration with Matt Gambell, Keaton White, and Craig Barnes and is available for all to play (as long as you have two Xbox controllers). We also discuss GDC experiences, unsuccessful game pitches, and determining success. The conference brought its own share of meaty topics, including unionization in the games industry, the future of GDC, and the current American political climate’s effect on international developers’ attendance, most readily seen in the #1ReasonToBe panel. We conclude by catching up on Will’s game — working title: Oddish Adventure — currently at version 0.0.3, and Mike updates us on Clash Cup Turbo’s development and multiplayer beta. Next up on Wardcast: Hidden Gems of PAX East II, an interview with Alex Berry from The Swords of Ditto, an interview with Mike Bithell, and more! Games include The Moon Fields, Time Crisis II, and Superhot. Got a question for the show? Join us on Discord or email us at contact@ward-games.com!

Well on today's episode Gamer Complainer and I (Efocutioner) talk about in It's All About the Hype, Street Fighter 5 new updates, Katsuhiro Harada not taking no b.s from the SJW alliance, EA laying down the hammer and a few other topics, Indie Radar we talk about Papo & Yo and Bit Bash, True Story we have some pretty terrible experiences with Shadow of Modor, and more of our wild and goofy uncensored behavior. Blair Kuhlman is the mega-talented designer behind A Fitting, described as "a Kinect based art Installation that focuses on the idea of body image." It played to rave reviews at Bit Bash a few weeks ago, particularly from the Nerdologues' Kevin Reader, if you want his opinion. ANYWAY, Blair was kind enough to chat with Tim and Clayton about the growing gaming trend of emerging narrative - in other words, when a game's story develops from the gameplay itself instead of being imposed on the player via cutscenes and the like. This episode will get you thinking about storytelling and Clayton will talk about bachelor parties a little bit. For those curious, here's Blair's portfolio.
Cody recounts his experience with the “Bit Bash” Indie Gaming event at Threadless HQ in Chicago, featuring lots of games! Then, Jon reviews Five Nights at Freddy’s. Click here to download this episode of Unqualified Gamers
