Five Nights at Freddy's 2 (2025) might be one of the most toothless horror sequels of the decade – and yes, this movie kinda sucks. In this episode of The Cinema Psycho Show, we dive into the messy lore dump, the bloodless PG‑13 kills, the bizarre FazFest setup, and why Toy Chica somehow ends up being the star of the show for all the wrong reasons. We also talk about: The opening Charlotte flashback, useless 80s parents, and the Marionette Abby's home and school life, plus the world's worst science teacher Mike as a guardian, generational trauma, and the total lack of therapy The "Call me Michael" reveal and whether this works at all if you're not deep into FNAF lore If you're a Five Nights at Freddy's fan, a horror nerd, or you just enjoy listening to two exhausted millennials suffer through bad IP movies so you don't have to, this one's for you. Send us a textA killer marionette, a sleepy music box, and a town that throws a FazFest for reasons no one can explain—welcome to our breakdown of Five Nights at Freddy's 2, where the lore expands and the logic contracts. We dig into the 1982 prologue that binds Charlotte's ghost to the puppet, the early-2000s reset that reopens old wounds, and the sequel's habit of inventing rules only to ignore them when the plot needs a shortcut. We walk through the set pieces that actually slap: the ghost-hunter incursion at the original location and the eerie boat-ride tunnel lined with tiny puppet figures that swarm like piranhas. The craft shines in these scenes—moody lighting, tactile animatronics, and a sense of place that finally feels dangerous. Then the film pivots back to a perimeter lock that makes little sense, a remote-control marionette that can apparently signal anywhere, and a town-wide FazFest that's constantly mentioned but never shown. Horror thrives on rules and payoff; this story keeps moving the goalposts.Characters nearly rescue the chaos. Abby's robotics arc and the science fair debacle give us a grounded angle that could have centered the movie's heart. Vanessa's dream duel with her father hints at an internal battle that deserved more time. And when Mike tricks an animatronic with a faceplate “friendly” scan—a wink to the games—we're reminded how playful this universe can be. Our biggest plea: honor the music box. It's the most elegant mechanic in the film, a physical clock for dread, and the climax forgets to keep it wound.By the end, ghost kids rip apart the villains and ascend, the body count stays oddly low for a sequel, and we're left convinced there's a sharper movie beneath the noise—one where children's belief keeps Freddy's legend alive while adults try to bury it. If that tension drives part three, there's still hope for this franchise to feel both scary and coherent. Enjoy the ride, shout along at the plot holes, and tell us what worked for you. If you're into thoughtful takedowns of messy sequels, hit follow, share with a friend, and drop your hottest FazFest theory in a review.Be our friend!Dan: @shakybaconTony: @tonydczechAnd follow the podcast on IG: @hatewatchingDAT
On this week's episode Jacob, Brad and MTD talk about Five Nights at Freddy's and Five Nights at Freddy's 2. The guys start out by welcoming back MTD and Brad lets the listeners know he loves creating fake photos with MTD in them. They also confess that they watched these movies back to back on Christmas Day and wonder if there is any worse punishment than this. MTD tells them these movies sound like the worst movies they have watched. Brad confesses a weird flex he made to his buddies in 1990 about getting to go home and watch Rocky V. They then argue which pizza place was better Circus Pizza or Showbiz Pizza and then they wonder if they could pick up mom's at the pizza place if they all were single and in their 20's. You don't want to miss this episode and find out what the guys really think of these two movies.Follow Movie Torture here:https://www.instagram.com/movietorturepod/Buy Merch here:https://www.bonfire.com/store/the-hopecast-network-swag/This show is brought to you by The Hopecast Networkhttps://www.instagram.com/hopecastnetwork/

He took a few publicity photos at different locations, including the behind the wheel shot, which he says is one of the silliest photos he's ever taken. Shatner says the actual commercial will be him inside a spaceship. Here are a few other Super Bowl commercials we can expect to see: 1. Industry insiders are noticing that the cost of the high-tech parts inside the console, like memory and storage, has been quietly climbing, which means Nintendo might have to raise the price of the Switch 2. It wouldn't be such a radical move as the PlayStation and Xbox have already increased the prices of their consoles after releasing them to the public. With Skeet Ulrich joining the cast, our fave two homoerotic horror actors were reunited on the red carpet, and we're hopeful the third installment will give us even more. Join us on a new Spooky Tuesday as we break down our theories about the middle movie of the FNAF trilogy. The Nerds have another movie review for you to sink your teeth in. This week we review Five Nights at Freddy's (2025) for the 3FN Movie Club Review!
Mike has been fascinated with The Wizard of Oz his entire life because of the traumatic experience the cast and crew suffered in the making of the 1939 movie. He shares the things you might not know about the classic film from people being burned, poisoned, forced to smoke cigarettes, slapped in the face and more terrible things. And how the movie was actually a failure when it debuted in theaters but was saved almost 20 years later and became the classic we know it to be today. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 starring Josh Hutcherson. It picks up one year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Former security guard Mike has kept the truth from his 11-year-old sister, Abby, concerning the fate of her animatronic friends. Mike crashes out over how bad he thought it was, why it was his worst theater experience of the year and the one redeeming quality of the franchise. In the Trailer Park, Mike blind reacts to Supergirl starring Milly Alcock and coming out on June 26, 2026. It’s about Superman’s 23-year old cousin who has a drinking problem and will serve as the 2nd film in the DC Universe. When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice. Mike talks about what he thinks about the suit, her heat vision and what might be the fate of her dog, Krypto. New Episodes Every Monday! Synopsis After the events of FNAF 1, Mike and his not girlfriend Vanessa struggle to move on. Mike, taking a parental role over his sister Abby, constantly worries about her connection to undead animatronics, and Vanessa continues to be plagued by nightmares of her father, William Afton. When dark forces begin to beckon Abby to the original Freddy Fazbear's location, Mike must confront Vannessa, who is still holding onto secrets from the past. Review of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is almost indistinguishable from the first film in my eyes. Yes, I know the stories are technically different, but the viewing experience is the same. The movie is packed full of winks and nods specifically designed to make a fan of the Five Nights at Freddy’s game say, “Hey, I know what that is!” However, to the average person with limited FNAF lore, it doesn’t quite hit the same. When my theater erupted into applause as some YouTuber made a cameo, I was left wondering, “Who the hell is that guy?” The acting feels like both Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail just couldn’t fully get into their characters, which is a shame because I think they both do a great job in other films. The one person really bringing their A game is Matthew Lillard, who seems to have never phoned in a performance in his life. And if you’re a fan of Scream, technically, we got both the original killers in this movie. FNAF is a movie made for kids who already like FNAF. For adults who are not nostalgic for the games, there is not much to get out of these movies. Score 3/10
Where A Kid Can Be A Corpse Josh Hutcherson plays different hunger games at a second pizzeria that has child abduction and possessed animatronics on the menu in Five Nights at Freddy's 2. Are Chica, Foxy, Bonnie, and Freddy Fazzbear even more lethal now that they're controlled by The Marionette, a forgotten telepathic mascot out to make neglectful parents pay? And will crabby teacher Wayne Knight (Seinfeld) give an “F” to heroine Abby (Piper Rubio) for entering her ghostly friends from the first film as a science fair project?
