This week, I sit down with Brillo Box. Luther Cosmo Ickes has been haunting the halls of the legendary Brillo Box for 20 years. Starting off as a door man back in 2005, he has turned this place into one of the best and most unique venues the City of Pittsburgh has to offer. Lou stopped by the studio and we had one my favorite conversations I've had on this podcast yet. Beyond running a bar full time, Lou has a deep passion for all things strange and unusual and we dive right into it. We talk about the ghosts that live in Brillobox. We talk about aliens and UFOs. And you better believe we talk about Bigfoot. But most importantly, we talk about the history of that magical place in Bloomfield we all love — Brillobox. I really cannot tell you how fun of a conversation this was. Great bar. Great venue. Stellar human being. Hope yinz enjoy it! - Yinz can SUBSCRIBE & WATCH here! - Become a "friend" on Patreon and support the show

Pete Spynda is a local events producer known for events including Pittonkatonk, Weather Permitting and the Pandemic dance parties at Brillobox. Not one to sit at home doing nothing while social distancing, he quickly developed Alone Together Pittsburgh, a virtual variety show that has been streaming since March 18. With a rotating lineup of guests, Alone Together Pittsburgh seeks to strike a balance between educational and entertaining segments, all shot remotely. We discuss the details of the show and building a virtual community. He gives us his thoughts on what the future holds for events (spoiler alert: it's too soon to tell). Plus: inexpensive online wine classes from Burghundy allow you to learn while staying home in your sweatpants, and local Lawrenceville shop Make + Matter unveils their new online store.   Links from this episode:   Alone Together Pittsburgh Burghundy online wine classes Shop Make + Matter online

In the much anticipated follow-up to their first-ever LIVE performance, your Two Guinea Hens (Rosie and Gabby) were horrified by how much Coppola Pinot Noir they drank at the Brillobox live recording. In fact, they didn't record for almost 2 1/2 weeks due to humiliation, regret and a short stint at the Betty Ford Clinic. In this episode the Two Hens discuss Rose's upcoming wedding, a fight with a Bernedoodle that turned bloody and Gab once again opines over the end of her favorite television shows Speechless and Criminal Minds. It's a more chill conversation (Gab's mania was in check) than their usual podcasts but they hope you enjoy all the same. Stay tuned to the very end when the Hens sing their #1 listener Jill Davis a lullaby.Ciao!

In their final episode of Season 1, Co-Hosts/Sisters: Rosie and Gabby talk about the final details leading into Rosie's wedding which is only 75 days away. They discuss the new reboots of Pet Cemetery, Halloween and IT. The sisters also talk about the ridiculousness of spoiler alerts for movies that premiered a decade ago. They also talk about not really loving "Love Actually" anymore (whaaa happened?). Oh, and they premiered a new segment called: ASK ROSE where Gab asks Rose an important life question. Don't forget the sisters have their first LIVE show on August 25th at The Brillobox at 7PM. Shout-outs as always to Pgh Kettlebell and Performance, Detective Dave (Fave Dave) & Amanda and all of our faithful listeners. Ti vogliamo bene!
