WAKE UP to Revelation: a call to discipleship in a broken worldIf you were to read through the Bible, you'd eventually reach the book of Revelation, where you encounter a strange world filled with images of swords, dragons, angels, bizarre beasts, and visions of the end of the world. Some have attempted to decipher a hidden code that will reveal secrets about the future. Others view it as a call to retreat from the world. But we believe it's neither of these. Instead, Revelation serves as a wake-up call to radical discipleship in a broken world.Today we talk about the messages to the seven churches.Support the show
Comfort and complacency can be dangerous to our faith. Pastor Ben Palka explores Revelation 3:14-22, where Jesus rebukes the church in Laodicea for being lukewarm—neither hot nor cold. This passage challenges us to examine our hearts, repent of spiritual indifference, and pursue a faith that is fully alive. Jesus stands at the door and knocks, inviting us into deeper fellowship and renewal in Him.
Opportunities to stand firm in faith often come when we least expect them. Pastor Wesley Welch unpacks Revelation 3:7-13, where Jesus commends the church in Philadelphia for their steadfast obedience and promises an open door that no one can shut. This passage reminds us that God's strength is made perfect in our weakness, calling us to endure with confidence, knowing He holds our future securely in His hands.

Spiritual complacency can be deceiving, making us believe we are alive in faith while we are actually in need of revival. Pastor Ben Palka examines Revelation 3:1-6, where Jesus warns the church in Sardis to wake up and strengthen what remains. This message calls us to a renewed dependence on Christ, urging us to walk in true repentance and remain faithful so that our names may never be erased from the Book of Life.
Transformative Truth: God's people will proclaim the gospel until His kingdom comes. Tragedies are trumpets sounding the alarm that “the day of the Lord is coming; it is near” (Joel 2:1) God's people will proclaim the gospel until His kingdom comes. 1. The Church is secure (vv. 1-2) 2. The Church is sent (vv. 3-6) 3. The Church will suffer (vv. 7-10) 4. The Church will succeed (vv. 11-14) 5. The Church will celebrate (vv. 15-19)
Remaining true to Christ often requires courage and discernment. Pastor Wesley Welch explores Revelation 2:18-29, where the church in Thyatira is commended for their faith and love yet warned against compromising with sin. This message challenges us to pursue holiness and cling to the promises of Christ, who rewards those who remain steadfast.
Ascension – He Reigns Over Everything for the Benefit of his Church Revelation 19:11-16 St. John sees the ascended Lord as a warrior riding on a white horse fighting against all those who oppose Christ's gospel and his Church. Easter 7 – Christ Creates Unity Within Diversity Acts 16:6-10 The ascended Lord directs Paul to leave Asia and preach the gospel for the first time in a territory that today we call Europe. In this sermon, Pastor Ben Palka calls us to reflect on our own hearts, urging us to rekindle our love for Christ and return to the works that flow from genuine devotion. Discover how to heed Jesus' call to repentance and restore a vibrant relationship with Him.

If you have ever heard the term "lukewarm Christian", you can thank the church in Laodicea for that! But what does it mean to be "lukewarm"? Whatever it is, it's pretty important, because Jesus says that being "lukewarm" is so gross, He wants to vomit it out of His mouth. So it stands to reason that we, as followers of Jesus, should make sure we are as far separated from whatever "lukewarm" is.So what does it mean to be "lukewarm"? Have a listen! We're glad you're here, let's get into it :)

The church in Philadelphia is dealing with an issue that we all deal with: doubt. It makes sense, too! They've got people telling them that Jesus is a false Messiah, and if they don't turn back now, they'll be judged by God. I wouldn't blame anyone for struggling with doubt in that context. But what's really cool about Jesus' message to the church in Philadelphia is how Jesus handles their doubts. And I think His message to them is just as pertinent for those of us today who have ever wrestled with their own doubts. So if you have ever had doubts about faith, Jesus, the existence of God, the Bible, or anything of that nature, then this episode is for you.So welcome! We're glad you're here, let's get into it :)

When Jesus addresses each of the seven churches, He follows the same structure:1.) Intro2.) Encouragement3.) Rebuke4.) Repent5.) Consequences6.) RewardSo for each church, we are going to go through this structure, and we're going to unpack what Jesus says. This week, our very own pastoral intern Braden Shannon flew solo as he recorded the lesson he taught at Youth Group this week! So what's the deal with the church in Smyrna? What does it mean to be a "Synagogue of Satan"? And what's the surprising thing about this church? Have a listen to what Braden has to say and find out! We're glad you're here with us!
