In this interview, Michelle talks to Author, Lindsay Hausch about her soon-to-release book, Take Heart: God's Comfort For Anxious Thoughts. In the interview, we talk about this question? What if God could use your anxious thoughts to draw you closer to Him? We often feel shame over our anxious thoughts because we think God might be disappointed in us, but He isn't. God meets us right where we are at and fills us with His peace and joy. If you would like to read the first chapter in Lindsay's book for free, please click on this link.

God gives us the gift of His comfort and His peace. In this season of waiting, He meets us right where we are at and gives us what we need. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." John 14:27

First, How do you go on when all of the props are knocked out and there is nothing but you, God, and pain? Second, Does the Bible teach that it is Gods will to heal all those who truly come to him in faith? Is it always a given that He will say yes to our requests for healing? Third, How do you keep from going back into depression when you experience setbacks? How do you conquer the fear of what lies ahead when your strength is failing? And what promises does God make to us of eternity with Christ and a new body free from pain? These and many more questions are discussed with honesty and biblical hope for all those facing the uncertainties of life now and in the future.

Jesus made a special promise to the disciples. He is still keeping that promise today!
Wendy Bezotte kicks off our series on 2nd Corinthians by talking about God's comfort.
The focus of today's message is on how we can comfort others in their sickness or long term debilitation. 3. The following struggles that will be addressed are meant to 1- help you identify the sufferers trials and 2- to give you some responses that you may be able to share when you are in a situation that you personally or someone you are talking with needs some help dealing with them.
Knowing how loving God is, and how willing and able He is to help, comforts one in great need.
This is a very personal message- forged through years of trying to understand why God would allow my wife, Vickie, to endure decades of disease that has kept her from doing things that she once loved to do. At times, it has appeared to us that God was sidelining her and keeping her from fully using the very spiritual gifts that He gave to her. By the end of these two messages, I desire that you will have joined us in our journey to draw close to the God of our comfort and have the hope you need to rejoice in the midst of long-term suffering. During these messages, I want to help you understand that 1- God IS the God of all comfort and 2- He wants you to glorify Him by reflecting that reality in your life and the lives of those around you. This foundational truth and its application is so clearly articulated by the Holy Spirit through Paul in 2 Corinthians 1-3-7. -I also give credit to the book -A Book Of Comfort for Those In Sickness- by P.B. Power and republished by Banner of Truth Trust for its encouragement to me to seek God as the God of Comfort.

This morning, I want to talk to our sense of loss and mourning by turning to a passage of Scripture that I believe will speak truth and breathe life into our hearts. It is a story of two travelers couple who were dealing with a great sense of loss in their own lives.
