In this episode Laura Robb and Fi Alston (who was still a Jamieson), were joined by Liz Jackson and Jenni Cahill to discuss women and feminism through the lens of Genesis 1 and 2. The discussion is based on a seminar from last year's women's conference. A further episode with more from Genesis 3 is still to come! Please like/follow/subscribe JustPodCasting!
“When God created woman, he gave her not two breasts but three. When the middle one got in the way, God performed surgery. Woman stood before God, with the middle breast in hand. Said, ‘What do we do with the useless boob?', and God created man.”

Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Genesis 2 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. 21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and HE (God) took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
How many times do you think that Mike will bring up Serge Gainsbourg in an episode about a movie that has nothing to do with him? The answer is one more than the amount of times that Charlie all-too-casually mentions second-wave feminism. This must mean that we are watching Brigitte Bardot's breakthrough starring vehicle about love, lust, freedom, and the sandy beaches of St. Tropez. If you'd like to watch ahead for next week's film, we will be discussing and reviewing Marlon Brando's One-Eyed Jacks (1961).

Who appreciates the women in their lives? God created women so beautifully and uniquely and has always used them in His story of love. In the beginning, God created man and women in His own image, but as a result of the Fall, Eve lost her identity and Her voice. BUT THEN... Jesus came along and flipped the script, redeeming the past and redefining the future. In Scripture, we see Jesus welcoming women, talking to women, and defending women. YOU WERE MADE BY GOD.YOU WERE MADE IN HIS IMAGE.YOU ARE ROYAL.YOU WERE MADE TO BE THE RECIPIENT OF THE FATHER'S LOVE."So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1:27-28)*Special thanks to Dr. Paul Ellis for his research and book entitled, "The Silent Queen." We would recommend this book for more in-depth study on this topic.Support the show (https://paypal.me/RickManis?locale.x=en_US)
