    (This podcast was previously published on May 22, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The shepherd watches over the flock of sheep.  He sees the sheep eating away at the grass of the pasture and the shepherd knows they will consume the pasture in a short time and the shepherd begins to look for new grasslands where there will be plenty of food and water for the sheep.   God watches over us this way and makes provision for us.   God provided for Elisha the prophet.   2 Kings 4:8-11 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.   9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.   10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.   11 And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.   Everything was provided for him.   In 2018, my heart changed on several things.  I had a big house in Texas and I no longer wanted a big house.  I wanted one room with all my stuff around me.   (God was preparing me for a change that was coming very soon.)   Also I realized I was not going to be able to live alone as I had done before.  (I was 81.)   On December 6, 2018, I fell at my house in Texas.  As the ambulance workers rolled me past my front door to take me to hospital, I heard from God:  "You'll never see this house again."   God had prepared everything for me to move to another pasture where I would be cared for.   All I had to do is to go through each door as it opened for me!   God cares for us as that good shepherd cares for his own sheep.  

    As we walk in the Spirit of God, following God, we produce the fruits of the Spirit of God

    (This podcast was previously published on May 13, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When we are born through our parents, we are born in the flesh of man.   When we are born again by God by HIS Spirit, we are born in the Spirit of God.   The flesh produces the works of the flesh which are these:    Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)   Our flesh leads us to do these things when we follow the desires and will of our flesh.   But when we are born of the Spirit of God, we have God living in us, so we can be godly and follow God by HIS Spirit, keeping our flesh under control by choosing to go in the way of the Spirit of God.   Galatians 5:22-23   But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.   When we follow the Spirit of God we automatically bear the fruits of the Spirit for He is in us and we follow HIM doing HIS works.   God gives us "another spirit", changing us from within.  We simply follow HIS SPIRIT, doing what the Spirit brings to our mind.   The Holy Spirit of God will never lead us to go in the way of the flesh of man for that is opposite to the Spirit of God and would be destructive for us and for those in our path.   As we follow the Spirit of God we are blessings to all persons who come across our path.   *****   Romans 8   1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.   2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.   3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending HIS own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:   4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.   5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.   6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.   7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.   8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.   9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of HIS.   10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.   11 But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, HE that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by HIS Spirit that dwelleth in you.   12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.   13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.   14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

    Let not your heart be troubled

    (This podcast was previously published on May 12, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   In April, 2021, a report appeared on CNN which said the earth has shifted on its axis.  The scientists went on to say this was caused by the changing climate which they said people have caused.   Most scientists show they do not know the Bible.   Genesis 1:1   In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.   At one point in time, God brought a flood and destroyed all life on this earth except for Noah and his family and the creatures which were in the ark.   After the destruction, God said to Noah.   Genesis 8:22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.   And the apostle Peter said this concerning the last days:   II Peter 3:1-7   This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:   2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:   3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,   4 And saying, Where is the promise of HIS coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.   5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:   6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:   7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.   At the end of the world, God HIMSELF, will shake the heaven and earth.   Isaiah 13:13  (God says)  Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of HIS fierce anger.   Matthew 24:29-31   Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:   30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.   31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.   These things will be done by God, not by man.   *****   God keeps the heavens and the earth in place until the time HE destroys the heaven and earth by fire in the last days.   II Peter 3:10-14   But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,   12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?   13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.   14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.   The powers of heaven will be shaken by God.  God ordered the solar system and God keeps everything in place for a time by HIS Word.  At the end, God destroys the heavens and earth by HIS Word.   Isaiah 34:4  And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.   Revelation 6:14   And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.   Only God the creator can cause these things to happen.   ***   Before God destroys the present heaven and earth, God removes HIS elect from this earth.   I Thessalonians 4:13-17   13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.   15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede/ go ahead of) them which are asleep.   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.   ***   We will be taken to the new heaven and new earth which has been prepared by God for HIS people, for the elect of God.   Revelation 21:1-5   And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.   2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.   3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.   4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.   5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.  

    Jesus says: Beware of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees

    (This podcast was previously published on May 4, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Matthew 16:5-7  And when HIS disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.  Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.  And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.   11  Jesus says:  How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?   12 Then understood they how that HE bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.   Jesus says this is a sign of the end times:   Matthew 24:3-5   And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?   4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.   5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.   (These deceivers will come into the church saying, "Jesus is Lord", and because they say that, the church will accept them.  Then they will deceive many in the church.)   Paul instructs Timothy:   2 Timothy 4:2-4  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.   The apostle Paul says:  The churches will fall away from scripture and the man of sin, antichrist, will come into the churches and set up his own doctrine, casting aside the doctrine of Christ of the New Testament Bible.   2 Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   In 1982, God said to me:  "The falling away are not people leaving the churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scripture."   Antichrist is in today's church groups as they have omitted certain scriptures and set up doctrines of men for their congregations to follow.  This has been going on since Paul and John lived on the earth, but it is much worse now and will continue to get worse and worse, until Jesus comes to deal with antichrist.   *****   In the end time Jesus will destroy antichrist and the apostate churches:   II Thessalonians 2:8-12  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:   9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,   10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.   11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:   12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.   ***   Many antichrist were already in the churches of the apostle John's time on this earth.   I John 2:18-19   Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.   19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.   ***   The apostle Paul spoke to the elders of the church at Ephesus and warned them that men were even there among the elders just waiting for an opportunity to bring forth to the church "perverse things".   Acts 20:28-30  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.   29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.   30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.   ***   Divisions, denominations, sprung up even in Paul's day on this earth.  It was to get worse and worse toward the end, says Paul.   I Corinthians 3:1-4  And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.   2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.   3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?   4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?   (Carnal:  One says, "I'm Baptist."  Another, "I'm Catholic."  Another, "I'm Church of Christ  ... or Methodist ... or Presbyterian."  Carnal, dividing the body of Christ with denominations.)   ***   Ephesians 4:1-6   I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,  With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;   3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.   4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;   5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,   6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.   ***   As soon as you speak of your denomination, you divide the body of Christ and bring division to the church.

    (This podcast was previously published on May 8, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When we allow ourselves to be led by money we often go in the wrong direction and even bring harm upon ourselves and our families.   Paul teaches us and warns us:   I Timothy 6:5-19  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, (who are) supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.   6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.   7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.   8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.   9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.   10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.   11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.   12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.   17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;   18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;   19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.   *****   1 John 2:15-17  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.   16 For all that is in the world, the lustof the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.   17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.   ***   Jesus shows HIS disciples that the time comes that all those things they admire will be destroyed.   Matthew 24:1-2   And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.  (Luke 21:5  And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts)   2 And Jesus said unto them,  See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.   All those things which we can see with our natural eyes and admire will be destroyed in the end times.   ***   Seek wisdom from God:   Proverbs 2:6-8  For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of HIS mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.   7 HE layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: HE is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.   8 HE keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of HIS saints.  

    Meditation Scriptures: Promises from God

    (This podcast was previously published on May 17, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   This Podcast is a recording of various promises from God which are written for us in both the Old and New Testament Bibles.   The apostle Peter says:   2 Peter 1:2-4   Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,   3 According as HIS divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of  HIM that hath called us to glory and virtue:   4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.   And in Joshua 1 we read the following promise:  8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   Psalm 1 tells the same thing about meditating in the Word of God.   1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.   2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.   3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.   I find these recorded scriptures helpful to use as I am going to bed at night.  Or when I am relaxing from previous work.  Or you might listen to them while taking a bath.  Or you might use this recording of the promises of God when you are in the kitchen.  Or you could use them while driving down the street.   Our faith in God is helped as we consider the promises God has given to us in the Bible.   *****   Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   ***   Psalm 1:1-3  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.   2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.   3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.   ***   Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. and it shall be given him.   ***   Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus (The Word).   ***   Philippians 4:6-7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (The Word).   ***   John 10:27-30  Jesus says:   My sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME:   28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of MY hand.   29 My Father, which gave them ME, is greater than all; and no (none) is able to pluck them out of MY Father's hand.   30  I and MY Father are one.   ***   Deuteronomy 28:1-14   And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:   2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.   3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.   4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.   5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.   6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.   7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.   8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and HE shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.   9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto Himself, as HE hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in HIS ways.   10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.   11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.   12 The LORD shall open unto thee HIS good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.   13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:   14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.   ***   Isaiah 26:3-4   Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.   4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:   ***   Isaiah 41:10-13   10 Fear thou not;     (This podcast was previously published on May 6, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   I Corinthians 15:51-52   Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.   When Jesus returns, some of the elect of God will still be alive on this present earth.   First, Jesus raises the dead in Christ.   Then those who are still alive on this earth will be changed instantly out of these current fleshly type bodies and will be given new spiritual bodies.  It will happen very fast, in the blink of an eye.   Blink. That is how fast it will happen.   Matthew 24:31   And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.   In their new spiritual bodies, the elect of God will then be raised off this earth and will meet Jesus and the resurrected dead in Christ in the air and we will be taken to the new heavens and the new earth, the new Jerusalem, which is prepared for the elect of God by God.   Here are the scriptures telling us about this:   I Thessalonians 4:13-17   13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.   15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede/go before) them which are asleep (dead).   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain (on this earth) shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.   18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.   We will then be taken by Jesus to the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness, that "new" Jerusalem which is prepared by God for us.   Revelation 21:1-5   1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.   2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.   3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.   4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.   5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.   *****   Then God will destroy with fire this present heaven and earth after we have been taken into heaven to that new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.   II Peter 3:10-14   10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,   12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?   13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.   14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.     ***   So if we are born again and endure to the end, following the Holy Spirit as HE shows us something to do, we should be fine.   Jesus does warn us of the following:   Matthew 24  Jesus says:   12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.   13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.   I believe we have to work daily, keeping our mind renewed and reinforced by scripture and by godly exhortations, such as the blog and Podcasts.   I have currently recorded over 400 Podcasts to exhort us in things of God.   ***   Hebrews 10:24-26   And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:   25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;   (This does not mean to attend one of the apostate churches, but rather it is the assembling "of ourselves together" ... and to me this would mean to gather with one or two persons who really have the Spirit of God and follows the Spirit of God ... and immerse yourselves in spiritual writings and Podcasts daily for things going on in this world and in the apostate church world will be very bad, worse and worse as time goes on.)   but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,   27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.   28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:   29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?   30 For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge HIS people.   31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.   I believe we must work at our salvation, keeping ourselves, in ways that remind us of the ways of God upon this earth.

    (This podcast was previously published on May 15, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Acts 17:26  (NIV Original Translation)  HE (God) determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.   I am persuaded that we are born to the parents that God chooses for us, and I know by the scriptures we live in the exact period of time where God wants us, and we also live in the exact places selected by God.   It is not accidental, nor is it our choice but God's choice for us, that we would fulfill our purpose on this present earth.   The following scriptural examples show us God's working in the lives of HIS chosen.   Concerning Joseph:  His brothers sold him into slavery when he was 17 years old, and he was taken down into Egypt and became a slave to a captain of Pharaoh's guard.  He put Joseph in charge of all that he had because he saw the Lord was with Joseph and God made everything Joseph touched to prosper.   Genesis 39:1-8  And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.   2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.   3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.   4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.   5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.   (Abraham was a blessing to all nations because he heard the voice of God and obeyed God.  We, too, are a blessing to all who come in contact with us because we belong to God and hear God and obey God.)   6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured.   7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.   8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;   9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?   (Then this woman lied concerning Joseph and that caused his master to put him into Pharaoh's prison.)   20 And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.   21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.   22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.   23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and that which he did, the LORD made it to prosper.   Wherever we are and whatever we do, God gives us favor and causes us to prosper in the place HE has put us at that specific time.   And God moves us from place to place as HE wills.   *****   Consider Job:  Job started out a prosperous man but lost everything for a season.  But at the end, God caused Job's life to be even better than it had been at the beginning.   Job 42:12-13   So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.   13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.   ***   I am currently 83-years of age.  I've found God has blessed my latter end more than my beginning, although there have been many blessings of God throughout the past years.   No period of time compares with the past two years after God moved me from Texas to Colorado to live in the home of another of the elect of God.   ***   Hebrews 6:10   For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward HIS name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.   ***   I Peter 4:12-14    Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:   13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when HIS glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.   14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part HE is evil spoken of, but on your part HE is glorified.   ***   We, who are chosen by God, the elect of God, are set on this earth for the purpose of fulfilling the will of God.   Romans 8:   1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.   2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.   3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending HIS own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:   4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.   5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.   6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.   7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.   8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.   9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.     When we follow the voice of the Lord our God, all HIS blessings will come on us and overtake us

    (This podcast was previously published on May 5, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When we are born again by the Spirit of God, we then have the Holy Spirit living in us to lead us and guide us and to show us the way we are to go in the specific issues of this present life, that we may go in the will of God for us in this life.  (John 14:26;  John 16:13;  I Corinthians 2)   God leads us by HIS Spirit.  God gives us information as we need help.  God shows us what to do.   "How?"  you might ask.   God simply brings thoughts to our mind, ideas, scriptures, concepts to show us what to do.   "I am the way," says Jesus.   The Word is the way.   As those thoughts from God come to our mind, that is "The Word" to us at that point in time.  As we follow that Word that is from God, we are blessed by God.   March 2020, the Coronavirus raged in the USA.  Businesses closed.  All sporting events were cancelled.  Everything shut down.  Never before had we witnessed anything like this!  And it was all over this world.   I had a special problem.  My house in Texas had been on the real estate market for the past 1-1/2 years.  How can I expect it to sell when people all around are terrified over the Coronavirus?   I turned to God asking God this question:  "Is there any thing I should do about that house in Texas."   Instantly the Holy Spirit of God brought the following to my mind:  "Put the house on a special sale for 1 week and lower the price."   I called my realtor immediately and told her to do this.   The house sold in 2 days.   Deuteronomy 28:1-2  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.   Today God speaks to us, HIS children, by HIS Holy Spirit who lives in us.  The Holy Spirit brings ideas from God to our mind.  When we do those things, the blessings of God come upon us and "overtake" us.   It is that simple:  Hearing the voice of God as brought to us by the Holy Spirit in the form of those thoughts that come to our mind.   And we know the voice of God because it is "pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."   Do you hear the voice of God?  Do you follow the ideas sent to you by God?   If you are born again, changed by God into a new creation, you can follow the Spirit of God for HE is in you.   God's yoke is easy.  HIS burden is light.  (Matthew 11:30)   If the idea is difficult, complex, overly expensive, I always know I have not heard from God.   *****   James 3:14-16   But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.   ***   Jesus says:   John 10:27  MY sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME:   4-5 And when HE putteth forth HIS own sheep, HE goeth before them, and the sheep follow HIM: for they know HIS voice.  And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.   ***   John 10:26   But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep ...   Some strays got into the pasture and pretended to be part of the flock and they tried to look like sheep, but they were really goats!   Matthew 25   31 When the Son of man shall come in HIS glory, and all the holy angels with HIM, then shall HE sit upon the throne of HIS glory:   32 And before HIM shall be gathered all nations: and HE shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:   33 And HE shall set the sheep on HIS right hand, but the goats on the left.   34 Then shall the King say unto them on HIS right hand, Come, ye blessed of MY Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:   35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave ME meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave ME drink: I was a stranger, and ye took ME in:   36 Naked, and ye clothed ME: I was sick, and ye visited ME: I was in prison, and ye came unto ME.   37 Then shall the righteous answer HIM, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?   38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?   39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?   40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these MY brethren, ye have done it unto ME.   41 Then shall HE say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from ME, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:   42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:   43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.   44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?   45 Then shall HE answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to ME.   46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.   ***   But many church going people have never had that personal experience with God where God changes them instantly from the person they once were.  They are often trying to change themselves by "learning", and sometimes they even work very hard to change themselves, but they fail to come to God for HIM to do HIS work in them.   They sign up for many good works at their church groups:  visiting the sick, cleaning the church building, bringing flowers to the Sunday service   But unless God authors that work, you can be turned away by Jesus at the day of judgment.   Jesus warns:   Matthew 7:21-23  Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven.   22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?   23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.   We must follow the Spirit of God to do the will of God in our works on this earth.   Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   ***** John 3:3   Jesus says: Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.   6  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  

    Exhort one another and even more as you see the day of the Lord approaching (Heb. 10:25)

    (This podcast was previously published on May 2, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Are we drawing nearer to the return of Jesus, "the day of the Lord"?   Do we see increased wickedness in this world today?  Do we see churches fall away from scripture and set up other doctrines which makes them "antichrist", the apostate church of the end times?   (Every church I've tried to attend since 1980, has omitted teachings on divorce & remarriage, and homosexual & lesbian, and antichrist in the end times.)   As we see an increased wickedness of this world and an increase in churches omitting scripture and setting up other doctrines in the churches, we see the day of the Lord approaching.   In the following scripture we read:   Hebrews 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,   27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.   28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:   29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?   30 For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge HIS people.   31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.   So in the Bible, we are instructed to "exhort" one another even more as we see the day of the Lord approaching.   (Exhort means:  to urge earnestly by advice and warning)   It is not that we speak too much, as devils would tell us.  But rather we need to speak even more godly things to edify the church in the last days.   (Paul once spoke till midnight to that church group.  Acts 20:7)   So we speak and don't hold back!   2 Timothy 4:2-4  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.   *****   Hebrews 6   4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,   5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,   6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.   7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:   8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.   ***   2 Peter 2   18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.   19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.   20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.   21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.   22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 30, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    God is our teacher.  By HIS Spirit we are taught all things of God.   II Timothy 1:12-14   For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that HE is able to keep that which I have committed unto HIM against that day.   13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.   14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.   It is God who chose us to salvation to be the elect of God.  It is God who changed us into a new creature after we were born again, and God who gave us His Holy Spirit to live in us and created us in HIS own image.  God causes us to live in peace, love, joy, and in all the fruits of that Holy Spirit of God.   Galatians 5:22-23   The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.   As we follow the Holy Spirit of God, these fruits of the Spirit manifest themselves in us and we end up fulfilling the law of God as we walk on this earth.   *****   Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:   4 According as HE hath chosen us in HIM before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before HIM in love:   5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of HIS will,   6 To the praise of the glory of HIS grace, wherein HE hath made us accepted in the beloved.   7 In WHOM we have redemption through HIS blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of HIS grace;   8 Wherein HE hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;   9 Having made known unto us the mystery of HIS will, according to HIS good pleasure which HE hath purposed in Himself:   10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times HE might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in HIM:   11 In WHOM also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of HIM who worketh all things after the counsel of HIS own will:   12 That we should be to the praise of HIS glory, who first trusted in Christ.   13 In WHOM ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in WHOM also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,   14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of HIS glory.   ***   Acts 1:8  Jesus says:  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME ...   ***   God is our teacher, revealing spiritual things to us by HIS Holy Spirit who dwells in us.   I John 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.   28 And now, little children, abide in HIM; that, when HE shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before HIM at HIS coming.   29 If ye know that HE is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of HIM.   ***   II Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.   ***   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   I Corinthians 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?   ***   The Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to us.   I Corinthians 2:9  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   ***   Jesus says:   John 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   The Holy Spirit brings ideas, concepts, scriptures to our minds to show us the will of God in the specific issues of this present life with which we are dealing.   And we follow HIM.   And when we follow Him, doing as God shows us through HIS Spirit, we shall never perish, for when we follow HIM we are HIS sheep.   Jesus says:   John 10:27  My sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME:   28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of MY hand.   29 My Father, which gave them ME, is greater than all; and no (none) is able to pluck them out of MY Father's hand.   30  I and MY Father are one.

    (This podcast was previously published on May 1, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Unless you are born of God's Spirit, changed by God into a new creature, you cannot see things of God.   I Corinthians 2:14  The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   Jesus says:  John 3:3   Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.   5-6  Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.   When we enter this world as little babies, we are born of the flesh of man with a fleshly resemblance to our parents and relatives.   When we are born of the Spirit of God, we are then like the Spirit of God, and we can understand things of God by HIS Spirit who dwells in us.   And as we follow that which the Spirit of God brings to our mind, we produce the fruits of the Spirit of God.   Galatians 5:22-23  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.   It is not that we learn to do the fruits of the Spirit.  We do the fruits of the Spirit because the Spirit of God who now lives in us is showing us what to do and we follow HIM, doing that which HE shows us to do.   John 3:4  Nicodemus saith unto HIM, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?   5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.   6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.   When we are born again by God by HIS Spirit, we are instantly changed into another person, born again.   II Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.   God reveals Himself to us and we are instantly changed.   We are no longer like we once were.  Now we have the Spirit of God in us to lead us in things of God.  Now we want to read Bible, and now we want to go to church and hear things of God.  And we want to be with people of God instead of being with those people of the world where we were before.   I Corinthians 6  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,   10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.   Most people in church groups are not born again.  They went to church and joined the church, but they were not changed by God instantly into another person.  They just tried to be godly.  They learned by their own flesh at church.  They tried to copy other people at church. They are imitations of people of God.  They are not of God for to be of God you must be born of the Spirit of God.   Many ministers do not have the Spirit of God.  They just put themselves into the ministry by their own will by going to Bible school or seminary.  They are not really called by Jesus and set into the ministry.   Those who are born of the Spirit of God, are taught by God.   *****   After we are born of God having HIS Spirit, we do not try to be godly.  We are godly, for God lives in us after we are born again!   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   I Corinthians 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?   ***   Paul explains this to us in the following scripture:   Romans 9   6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:   7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.   8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.   9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.   10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;   11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of HIM that calleth;)   12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.   13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.   14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.   15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.   16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.   17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew MY power in thee, and that MY name might be declared throughout all the earth.   18 Therefore hath HE mercy on whom HE will have mercy, and whom HE will he hardeneth.  

    When churches change the doctrine of Christ in the Bible to their own preferences

    (This podcast was previously published on April 29, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   2 Timothy 4:2-4  The apostle Paul says:  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.   3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;   4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.   A few years ago, on a national TV newscast, they showed the man who was Catholic pope at that time, and they were asking him about homosexuals, and he said, "I don't see anything wrong about being homosexual."   I screamed out!  "What about the Bible?"   Romans 1:26-28   For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   Another example:  A church woman, who was divorced and wanted to remarry, went to a pastor to ask him if she, as a divorced woman, could remarry.  The pastor said:  "I don't see anything wrong with a divorced woman remarrying.  My sister is divorced and she remarried."   What about the Bible?  What does the Bible say about this?   I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   Romans 7:2-3   For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.   3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   When you want to know what God thinks about something, go to the New Testament Bible and look up that subject.   *****   Mark 7   1 Then came together unto HIM (to Jesus) the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.   2 And when they saw some of HIS disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.   3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.   4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.   5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked HIM, Why walk not Thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?   6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth ME with their lips, but their heart is far from ME.   7 Howbeit in vain do they worship ME, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.   8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.   9 And HE said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.   ***   In many churches today, they have set aside the doctrines of Christ of the New Testament Bible and have set up another doctrine to please men of this generation.   When they do this, falling away from scripture, they open the door for antichrist to move into the church.   II Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   In 1982, God said to me:  "The falling away is not man leaving the churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures."   When churches do this they bring damnation upon themselves.   8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:   9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,   10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.   11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  

    God makes provision for HIS people

    (This podcast was previously published on May 3, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Romans 12:1-2   I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.   2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   We who believe in God, must be diligent to cling to truth of the Bible.   Therefore when we hear someone on TV speak that which is contrary to Bible, it is important for us to renew our mind to the truth from the Bible.  For that which is false could go down into our heart and at some point deceive us.   Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.   2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.   3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.   4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.   5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness HE called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.   God created the solar system to remain in place until HE commanded otherwise.   God said:  Genesis 8:22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.   God keeps everything in place until the end of the world when God brings forth a new heaven and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.  God will remove us from this present earth before God  destroys this current heaven and earth by fire.   We know these things because the Bible tells us this, and it is the Word of God, the truth. Therefore we have an anchor for our soul whereby we can live in peace regardless of that which the people of this world say.   This present heaven and earth will be destroyed by God in the last days.  But God has made a provision for us, a new heaven and a new earth, and we will be removed from this earth and taken to the new heaven and new earth before this earth is destroyed by God.   2 Peter 3:10   But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,   12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?   13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.   14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.   We live on this earth in peace.  Then at some point, God will move us off this earth and take us to the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.   Because of that which is written in the Bible, The Word from God, we know these things.   *****   The apostle John says:   Revelation 21:1  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.   2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.   3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.   4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.   5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.   ***   God created for us all that we need.  And when it is time, God will move us to the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.   Men of this present earth try to disturb us.  But we who know the Bible and trust God, do not allow ourselves to be swept away by them and their imaginations.  We have a solid anchor and that is the Bible which is truth.   So we renew our minds to the Bible and keep ourselves in peace by God's word to us.   ***   This earth is currently kept in place in the solar system by God.  But it is reserved there unto "fire" for the day comes when God will destroy this earth.   2 Peter 3:7  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.   By that word of God these heavens and earth are kept in place in the solar system until the time of the end of this world when God, by HIS Word, will move the heavens and earth and destroy by fire that which we now know.   But God will remove us and take us to that new heaven and new earth which God has prepared for HIS people.   I Thessalonians 4:13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.   15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede/go before) them which are asleep (dead).   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain (on this earth) shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.   These things we know because of that which is recorded for us in the Bible.   Matthew 24:29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:   30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.   31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.   We will meet Jesus "in the air".  With Jesus will be those who were dead and are now raised by Jesus.  And we will all be taken to the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness, to new Jerusalem, which has been created by God for HIS people.   Keep your mind fixed on that which Bible says and do not fear that which man predicts, for man is not God, though man often thinks himself to be God.   Romans 12:2  Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,   And live in peace as we wait for the return of Jesus.   Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (The Word).

    (This podcast was previously published on April 27, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    After we are born again, the Holy Spirit will remind us of things of God, and as we speak those things we are witnesses to Jesus.   Many times, throughout the years of our lives, the Holy Spirit reminds us of things and that is when the power of God is there.   Jesus says:   Acts 1:8   But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME.   Years ago, I was at a copy store.  An elderly man came up to me and said, "Little lady.  You didn't happen to park behind that green and gold car did you?"   "No sir," I replied.   Then he said, "That's a Baylor car."  (Green & gold are the colors of Baylor University, a Baptist college in Texas.)   "OK."  I replied.   Then he said, "You don't happen to be a Christian do you?"   I excitedly replied, "OH YES, I am!"   He said, "Oh, heck.  I just joined the witnessing class at First Baptist Church and you are the first person I have chosen to witness to."   The power to be a witness is very different from trying to witness.   This will be discussed on this Podcast.   *****   Examples of the Holy Spirit coming upon me through the past years:   * The Holy Spirit says to me, "Be baptized."   * Court trial:  Holy Spirit says to me, "Don't testify."   * I saw man I was dating walking up sidewalk toward my business.  I heard this from the Holy Spirit:  "You can have all the money you want, but you're not going to have this."  I thought Holy Spirit was showing me I would not marry Bob.  But Holy Spirit was showing me I would not marry.   * Decision to go to court without human legal counsel because of Isaiah 54:17.  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   * Angel of God speaks 3 words to me, "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS", and I say to God, "Are YOU telling me to go on radio?  I wouldn't know how to do that."  Holy Spirit says, "Call the radio station manager.   *  When I am searching for a quarter & nickel in my coin purse, the Holy Spirit says to me, "Three dimes will work."   * Methodist woman speaking about people who were judging.  Holy Spirit said, "If you're judging that people are judging, aren't you judging?"   * When radio station manager in Seattle said they might have to put me off the air if I continued to speak judgment messages, God said through me to him, "If I don't speak the message that I believe to be from God, then I don't have a message, and I may as well be off the air."   * Deuteronomy 18:9-12 spoken to my mother. My mother said, "Well ... I guess we'd better not do that anymore."  When she agreed with those scriptures, she was born again.   * Seeing a truck loaded with firewood.  Holy Spirit says:  "You can have that."   * When woman at grocery store check-out line was rebuking cashier for working on a Sunday, Holy Spirit said through me: "If you want to live by the letter of the Old Testament law, then what are you doing shopping on a Sunday?  By the Old Testament law, you just rest all day in your tent."   * While trying to tune a defective TV by using my remote control, Holy Spirit says:  "You don't have to put up with that."   * After fall at my house, trying to crawl to phone with broken hip and wrist.  Holy Spirit says:  "You can do this."   * Ambulance workers rolling me past my front door after accident.  Holy Spirit says:  "You'll never see this house again."   *  House in Texas for sale in the midst of Coronavirus pandemic.  Holy Spirit says:  "Put the house on a special sale for one week with price lowered."  (House sold in 2 days.)   * As I considered putting new upholstery on my 25-year-old car, the Holy Spirit says to me, "Or you could just buy a new car."   (The above examples happened from 1975 through 2020.)   We receive power after the Holy Spirit speaks to us by bringing a thought from God to our mind and when we speak that word or do that instruction, we are witnesses to God and Jesus.  

    Tradition of men renders the word of God void, says Jesus

    (This podcast was previously published on April 25, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Many churches today are teaching doctrines that are traditions of men instead of the commandments of God from the New Testament Bible.   This is antichrist in the end time church.  This is the apostasy that Paul said had to come before Jesus returns.   II Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   "The falling away" are churches falling away from scripture.  When this happens the door is open for antichrist to come into the church and set up doctrines of men, departing from scripture which is the doctrine of Christ for the church.   For example:  The Catholic church teaches their followers to pray to Mary.  This is their "tradition" set up by men and not by God.   Jesus says:  John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.   In the New Testament Bible, we are taught to pray directly to God through Jesus Christ.   Philippians 4:6   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   Mary is dead.  She is sleeping.  She cannot hear you or watch over you.  No dead person can do these things.  Dead people are asleep.   Jesus shows us that dead people are "asleep".   John 11:11-14  These things said HE (Jesus): and after that HE saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.   12 Then said His disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.   13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that HE had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.   14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.   Some church people in both Catholic and Protestant churches think dead people watch over them.   The Bible shows us that dead people are asleep.   I Thessalonians 4:13-17  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.   15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep (dead).   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.   God watches over us.  Dead people are sleeping until Jesus returns.   In churches today, there are many traditions of men which are opposite to the doctrines of Christ in the Holy Bible.   *****   The protestant churches usually call crackers and grape juice, "The Lord's Supper."    But we commune with God through prayer and through the Bible which is the Word of God.   As we partake of scripture correctly and apply scripture to our lives, we "eat and drink" the flesh of Jesus and the blood of Jesus.  This is "The Lord's Supper."   Therefore those who wrongly apply scripture, "eat and drink" damnation to themselves.   I Corinthians 11   27  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.   28 But let a man examine himself (as he reads Bible), and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.   29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.   30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.   31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.   ***   Matthew 15   1-2 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,  Why do Thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.   3 But HE answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?   4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.   5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me;   6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free.   Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.   7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,   8 This people draweth nigh unto ME with their mouth, and honoureth ME with their lips; but their heart is far from ME.   9 But in vain they do worship ME, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.   ***   In February, 2021, a pastor of a Baptist church in Georgia (USA), announced to the world news media that homosexuals and lesbians were welcome to come to their church.   This is shockingly against the Bible.   Romans 1:26-28  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   When I read this on CNN International, I thought of how close we must be getting to the return of Jesus and the great tribulation and the end of this world!   For when the churches fall away from scripture this way, we draw much closer to the end.   The Southern Baptist Convention removed that Baptist church in Georgia from their association of approved churches.  They said they were removed because they went against the "tradition" of the Baptist church.  (They did not mention any scripture at all, just "tradition.")   Even the Southern Baptist Convention pulled away from citing scripture.  (antichrist and the end times)   In The Bible, we read the following concerning homosexuals and lesbians:   Romans 1:26-28   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another;   When we, who are of God, give a reason for doing something, it should be because of a scripture in the Bible and we should present that scripture for all to see.   ***   But to be approved by man, many omit Bible.   The Bible, the scriptures, are the only thing keeping antichrist back.   2 Thessalonians 2:7-8  For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only HE who now letteth will let, until HE be taken out of the way.   When Jesus, THE WORD, the Holy Scriptures, are removed, then antichrist moves into the church.   8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:   The apostle Paul said antichrist was already there in the churches, among the elders even, just waiting until Paul was out of the way so he could move in and speak perverse things to the church.   Acts 20:29-30  Paul says to the elders of the church at Ephesus:  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.   The apostle John also told us there were "many" antichrists in his day coming into their church.  They came into their church, in John's time, and stayed there until they saw they could not take over and speak their perverse doctrines, and then they left.   I John 2:18-19  Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.  They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.   Many denominations came as a result of those who did not want to follow sound doctrines in the church groups.   These denominations set up their own doctrines and left the doctrines of Christ.  They set up their own churches by their own fleshly preferences.   Some churches even use some scripture for a time, only to "fall away" from that instruction and set up other teachings by their own thinking to please men.   It seems unreasonable to say:   *  whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.  (The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery)   Words spoken by Jesus in Matthew 5:32   *  Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.  (I Corinthians 7:10-11 ... a commandment of the Lord says Paul)   *  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.  (Romans 7:2-3)   If the divorced woman remarries, she commits adultery.   *  Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.  (Words of Jesus in Mark 10:11-12)   *  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.  (I Corinthians 7:39)   *  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (Word of Jesus in Matthew 32:5)      - Man who divorces "a faithful wife" will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.    - Faithful wife who has been divorced by her husband commits adultery if she remarries after divorce.    - Man who marries divorced woman commits adultery.   When churches change the doctrines of Christ away from the New Testament Bible, they fall away from the Word of God and this allows antichrist to come into that church group and reign over the church group.   ***   The Catholic church once taught their followers that if a woman was divorced and she remarried it was a sin. Also they taught that a man could not marry a divorced woman.  But they taught no scripture to back up their rules.   (Also the Catholics taught their followers that they could not read the Bible for they would not understand the Bible and they might get it wrong.)   And more than once, I have heard Catholic individuals say their church told them they did not need to read the Bible, for the Catholic priest would tell them what they needed to know.)   ***   The current Southern Baptist Convention is now stating that they do not welcome to their churches homosexuals or lesbians because it is against their "tradition", but they present no scripture.   As time goes by, they change their rules in their churches, falling away from the doctrines of the scripture of the New Testament Bible, and this is antichrist in the churches.   Their followers often do not know what God says in the Holy Bible about these subjects.   When we say what we believe, we must also tell the scripture upon which our belief is based, otherwise the doctrine is weakened and we get to the point we don't know if this is really what God says or not.   ***   Satan came to Eve to cause Eve to doubt that which God said:   Genesis 3:1  Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?   The devil is the father of lies.  Even in his statement to Eve, he presented perversion of the word from God, for devil said, "every" tree?  No, God didn't say "every" tree.  The devil twists scripture.   (When I recall a scripture, I like to go to that exact scripture in the Bible, for the devil has a way of adding things which are not in the scripture.  So I like to read that section of scripture from the Bible and check exactly what the Bible says to us.)   Genesis 2:9  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.   15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.   16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:   17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.   (See how the devil twisted this scripture when he spoke with Eve.)   Jesus said this concerning the devil.   John 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.   And when we fail to quote exact scripture, we are beginning the falling away from scripture.   Soon it becomes tradition and something other than the exact word from God.   Then we, too, fall away from scripture.   We must deal very carefully with the Word of God and quote that word correctly to others even when they will not understand.   The scripture is all that stands between us and antichrist.   Do not try to lure people to yourself.  Speak the pure Word of God and let them depart if they wish to do so.   I Corinthians 2:14   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   I Timothy 4:2-3   Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;   ***   Other scriptures in this Podcast:   II Corinthians 6   14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?   15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?   16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.   17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,   18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.   ***   When we speak the exact scriptures to them, they will often depart from us when they are unbelievers.   If the unbeliever depart, let him depart.   They will be as thorns in our sides and pricks in our eyes if they are unbelievers and we try to be with them.   Numbers 33:55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.   By speaking the scriptures, we drive the unbelievers away from us.   If they agree with scripture, when we speak, then they will be saved and given the Spirit of God.   I Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   But as long as an unbeliever chooses to come around you, speak the Word of God as the Spirit brings that word to your mind.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 28, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When a problem comes, those persons who ask God what to do will overcome on this earth.   Those people who try to ignore the problem, or who run to other people, telling others their problems, will not overcome on this earth.   When we have a problem or a concern, what are we as Christians supposed to do?   Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (The Word).   Acts 2:19-21   God says:   19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:   20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:   21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.   ***   When these things happen, some will run into their house to be safe.  Others will run to friends.  Some will try to forget that which is happening by watching TV or reading a book.   Those who stop and fall down before God, doing nothing but depending totally on God, will be saved.   It is the same with the problems we encounter daily.   We can try to forget that problem by soaking ourselves in TV.  But those who cease all their efforts and fall down before God in prayer, committing their fears and concerns to God, and waiting on God, will be saved from the problem.   A woman told me of the following dream:  She and her husband were going out to buy a TV.  She was at the car waiting for him when all of a sudden the sun turned totally dark!  She started to run back into their house.  But then she realized that wouldn't do any good. She just fell down on her knees.   In the mid-80's, I had the following dream: The earth slipped on it's axis.  People were terrified.  The government was meeting with scientists and religious leaders to see what could be done.  (Nothing can be done by men for this was of God.)  A TV newscaster was trying to give a report about the event, but he was so frightened that he just stopped talking and walked out of the studio in the middle of the broadcast.   Isaiah 13:13  God says:  Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of His fierce anger.   *****   Recently thoughts began coming to me telling me I would not be saved.   But I remembered two scriptures to the contrary.   Mark 10   28 Then Peter began to say unto HIM (Jesus), Lo, we have left all, and have followed Thee.   29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for MY sake, and the gospel's,   30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.   John 10  Jesus said:   27 MY sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME:   28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of MY hand.   29 MY Father, which gave them ME, is greater than all; and no (none) is able to pluck them out of MY Father's hand.   I said to Jesus:  "You told me I would inherit eternal life."  Mark 10  That is what will happen.  And You told me "I would never perish."  John 10  That is what will happen.   And as I was asking God to help me, I heard:  "You're being attacked by a devil."   I did not talk to devil.  I did not even address that devil.  I just kept talking to Jesus and stating what HE had told me in Mark 10 and John 10 and kept asking God to help me.   And I believed those words of Jesus.   ***   Those persons who run to other people with their problems or try to forget their problems through TV and such, will not overcome.   Those who turn to God for help and cling to HIS Word and to HIM will be helped and saved and will overcome on this earth.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 23, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When the sins of this world and the sins of the churches around us increase, it signals the coming of Jesus and the great tribulation and the end of this present world.   As the sins in the days of Noah brought the destruction of this world by God, and the open sins of the men of Sodom in the days of Lot signaled the destruction of Sodom, the rampant and blatant sins of today show us how close we are coming to the end of this world.   Jesus says:   Matthew 24   35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY words shall not pass away.   36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but MY Father only.   37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.   38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,   39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.   ***   Luke 21   7 And they asked HIM, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?   8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.   9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.   10 Then said HE unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:   11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.   (pestilences:  Have we ever seen anything before like Coronavirus?)   25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;   26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.   27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.   28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.   ***   According to Matthew 24, the following will happen:      * The great tribulation    * The powers of heaven will be shaken    * Jesus comes through the clouds and send HIS angels to gather the elect.   Matthew 24  Jesus says:   29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:   30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.   31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.   *****   Jesus said:   Luke 21   29 And HE spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;  When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.   When we see signs such as:  volcanoes erupting, earthquakes, stars or meteors fall from the heavens ...  God is likely speaking to HIS people.  I always notice when these things happen today.  And I consider that the great tribulation is likely coming soon.  And the shaking of the powers of heaven by the sun failing to give it's light.  The moving of the earth slightly in the solar system. And then the sign of Jesus in the sky.   And we will see open wickedness in both the world and in the apostate churches.   31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.   ***   Matthew 24:44   Jesus says:   Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.   2 Peter 3:14   Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.   Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.   ***   Great wickedness of men came before the destruction from God:   Luke 21  Jesus said:   26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.   27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.   28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;   29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.   Days of Noah:  Genesis 6 Days of Lot:  Genesis 19 (Read of these)   30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.   ***   Pestilences:   Coronavirus covered the entire earth.  I think this makes this virus as a "trumpet".   To me this is just one of the many things that come to tell man, "You are not in charge."   It is just glimpse of the fall of Babylon of Revelation 18 in the end times, where great cities fell.   ***   And unspeakable sins begin to surface, especially in the churches.   February, 2021:  A Southern Baptist Church pastor in Georgia makes announcement to the world that homosexuals and lesbians are welcome to their church.  Apostasy in the churches.   The Southern Baptist Convention put this church group out of the Baptist group of churches because they said they did not conform to the "tradition" of the Baptist church.  No report at all was given to USA Today concerning the fact that because of the Holy Bible, this church group was expelled.  They just said they didn't fit the "tradition" of the Baptist church groups.   This is even a bigger sin to me, for the leadership of the Baptist church did not cite scripture in their reason for their action when they reported to the news media.   In everything scripture must be the reason for our action as Christians.  And we must cite the specific scripture upon which we base that which we are doing.   Romans 1:26-28  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   Before Jesus could return, there would be "a falling away" where churches fell away from scriptures, and the man of sin (antichrist) moved into the churches.   II Thessalonians 2   3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:   9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,   10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.   11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:   12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.   ***   And through all these things that come upon this earth, we keep ourselves in peace, without spot, and blameless through constant prayer, connecting us to God in every trouble.   And we cling to the scriptures of the Bible until the end.   II Timothy 3:16-17   All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.    

    The New Covenant: God puts HIS laws directly into our hearts and minds

    (This podcast was previously published on April 26, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   After we are born again by the Spirit of God, God puts HIS laws for the New Testament church directly into our hearts and minds.   Hebrews 8:10-11 God says: For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put MY laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to ME a people:   11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know ME, from the least to the greatest.   Often God will put HIS own desire into our hearts so that we desire to do that thing even before the situation arises.   But if we are about to go in a way that would not be of God, HE can cause our heart to change to go even in a way opposite from that which we thought we wanted to go.   God just puts in our heart another desire and leads us that new way.   God shields us from those things that would not be beneficial for us, and keeps us from that which would hurt us and destroy us.  And HE leads us into a more abundant life than we could have had otherwise.   God even puts HIS own laws into our hearts and minds.   Hebrews 10:16   God says:  This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put MY laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;   I John 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.   (Abide in that which God has told you.)   28 And now, little children, abide in HIM; that, when HE shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before HIM at HIS coming.   29 If ye know that HE is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of HIM.   *****   John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   I Corinthians 2   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   ***   If we are of God, we are righteous, because of that which God has shown us, and the Spirit of God dwells in us to remind us of all things that we have heard from God.   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   We pray continually for the will of God to be done in our lives on this present earth.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 22, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Concerning compromise, never do we who are of God compromise scripture.   Romans 1:26-28 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   In the Bible, we have the example of the men of Sodom who went after strange flesh.   Genesis 13:13  But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.   In every "quarter" of the city were homosexuals.   God sent 2 angels to Sodom to deliver Lot (Abraham's nephew) before God destroyed Sodom.   Angels look like natural men.  Angels do not have wings.   So when these homosexuals in Sodom realized the 2 men had come into Lot's home, they came demanding that Lot turn these 2 men over to them so they could have sex with these 2 men who were really 2 angels sent by God to destroy Sodom.   Genesis 19:4-7  But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:   And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.  (Have sex with them.)   6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,  And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.   In this Podcast, I will present the scriptures showing God's view of Sodomites and the way the nation of Israel dealt with Sodomites.   God's view of the subject is all that matters.   What does God think?   The examples in the Bible show us the thinking of God on the various issues of this present life.   *****   On April 12, 2021, on CNN International (Internet), there was a story about a pastor in the Southern Baptist church group, who announced that homosexuals and lesbians and other sexual deviates were welcome at his church.   Before Jesus returns the churches will fall away from scriptures and antichrist moves into the church groups.   II Thessalonians 2:3-4   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   In 1982, God said to me:  "The falling away are not people leaving the churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures."   In the end times, churches will set up other doctrines, contrary to scripture, and go by these doctrines of man in their churches, casting aside scriptures.   This is antichrist.   The apostle John tells us there are "many antichrists", not just one antichrist.   I John 2:18   Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.   John explains that those people who were antichrist came into their church group and then left them when they did not like the pure doctrine of Christ.   Many of these antichrist people set up their own churches, denominations, where they could control the teaching and omit the doctrines of Christ as they preferred.   In speaking with the elders of the church at Ephesus, the apostle Paul said:   Acts 20:29-30   For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.   Paul said to Timothy:   II Timothy 4:2-4  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.   This is what we are seeing today in many churches.   These are the antichrists of the end times in the churches.   *****   Concerning the Sodomites of the Old Testament:   I Kings 14:24   And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.   I Kings 15:12   And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.   I Kings 22:46  And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.   II Kings 23:7  And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.   Deuteronomy 23:17  There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.   Isaiah 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.   Jeremiah 23:14  I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto ME as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.   Jeremiahs 50:40  As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.   ***   As homosexuals and lesbians and other sins of this world increase, we know the coming of Jesus and the great tribulation and the destruction of this present heaven and earth draws closer.   II Peter 3:13  Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.   There will never be righteousness on this present earth.  It will just get worse and worse.   II Timothy 3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.   But God will remove the righteous from this earth and take the righteous to that new heaven and new earth which is created by God for HIS people who follow HIM.   Revelation 21   1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:  for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.   2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.   3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.   4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.   5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.    

    Be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind

    (This podcast was previously published on April 18, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    When we are watching television, often we will hear someone say something that we know to be opposite to the Word of God as stated by God in the Holy Bible.   It is very important for us to renew our mind to the Bible.   Recently I heard a very famous man say, "All die.  No one escapes death."   Because of the Bible, I know that statement is not true.   Immediately after I heard this man say this, I took my Bible and made a screen print of the page of scripture where Paul says, "We shall not all sleep (die),"   I Corinthians 15:51-52   Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,   52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.   When Jesus returns, first the dead in Christ will be raised, then those who are still alive will be changed from this earthly physical body, and be raised from off this present earth and taken into the air to meet Jesus and those who are raised from the dead.   I Thessalonians 4:13-17 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.   15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep.   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.   18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.   *****   Romans 12:1-2   I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.   2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   We who believe in God, must be diligent to cling to truth of the Bible.   Therefore when we hear someone on TV speak that which is contrary to Bible, it is important for us to renew our mind to the truth from the Bible.  For that which is false could go down into our heart and at some point deceive us.   Some will think this unnecessary.   But I know it is critical to do the scriptures and not just hear the scriptures.   And I know it is important to collect scriptures which are brought before us in situations such as this and put those scriptures into some form of collected file and meditate upon those scriptures as we live daily on this present earth, keeping ourselves by the Word of God.   Joshua 1:8  God says:   This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   I use my Kindle tablet photo section and make screen prints of such scriptures which I usually read daily.   The man who said the lie of the world was Ernest Hemingway.   A three part series of his life appeared on PBS and I recorded it.  I watched some of Episode 1, but felt it best to stop watching when he divorced his first wife and married a second wife, and later a third wife, all of which is adultery according to the Bible.   Matthew 5:32  Jesus said:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   I only watched part of Episode 1, but as they praised Hemingway, I found myself saying, "But Hemingway committed suicide."   Several times I said this.   I deleted Episode 2, but I watched some of Episode 3, wanting to hear their report of Hemingway suicide.  Toward the end of his life, he became crazy, thinking men in restaurants were government agents who were out to get him.  At the Mayo clinic they were giving him electric shock treatments but he continued in his imagined fears.  He was a very heavy drinker, a drunk.   I just kept thinking of how you can have all that fame and glory of men, and destroy yourself and lose everything.   Matthew 16:26 Jesus says: For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?   It is important for us to guard our own hearts with all diligence, uprooting the saying of this world and wisdom of this world, and clinging to the truth of the Word of God in the Bible.   Also I was reminded of the following:   God says:  I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.  (Joshua 1:5 & Hebrews 13:5)   And God gives us a "sound mind", when we follow HIM.   II Timothy 1:7   For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.   ***   Other scriptures in this recording:   Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.   ***   II Peter 3:10-14   10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.   11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,   12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?   13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.   14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.   ***   Philippians 4:6-7   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.   ***   James 1:21-22 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.   22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.   25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.   James 2:24  by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.   26  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. ***   Luke 21   Jesus says:   33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.   34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting (over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.   35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.   36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.   ***   Matthew 18  Jesus says:   3  And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.   4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.   ***   Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.   ***   Revelation 12   9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.   10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.   11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.   12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.     (This podcast was previously published on April 24, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Do you hear the voice of Jesus?  Are you aware of the Holy Spirit of Jesus bringing thoughts to your mind to help you and to guide you in the way of God?   Are you born again?  If you are born again you do have the Spirit of God in you.   I Corinthians 3:16   Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   Jesus says:   John 10:27-29  MY sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME:  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of MY hand.   MY Father, which gave them ME, is greater than all; and no man (none) is able to pluck them out of MY Father's hand.   I Corinthians 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?   The Spirit of God which is in us guides us into all truth, reminds us of that which Jesus has said to us, teaches us all things, and shows us things to come.  (John 14:26, John 16:13)   The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, the helper.   If you have been born again, you have the Spirit of God in you.  Therefore you are able to follow what Jesus says to you by HIS Spirit.  You can hear Jesus' voice as the Holy Spirit brings thoughts to your mind to show you what to do.   You might need to be more aware of thoughts coming to your mind.  And how to recognize those thoughts that are from Jesus by HIS Spirit.   Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   *****   My experience is that the Holy Spirit speaks in a very gentle voice, bringing to my mind scriptures and concepts in the moments that I have to make decisions in this life so I can know the way God wants me to go in the issues at hand.   John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth:  for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   I Corinthians 2   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 19, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Being born again means, we are changed instantly by God.   A young man told me he walked out on his back porch and "something happened."   A woman, who was a long time drunk, said one day "something happened" and she had a great desire to read the Bible after that happened.  She told her husband she was going to quit drinking.  He didn't believe her because he'd heard her say that before.  But this time the power of God was in her to enable her to do those things she could not do before.   In my case, the Holy Spirit spoke these words to me:  "Joan ... you know those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes. Those were sins."   After I heard the word of God, by the Spirit of God, I believed and was instantly changed by God.   I read a portion of Bible (Deuteronomy 18:9-12) to my mother one day and she thought about that which I read to her and she said, "Well ... I guess we'd better not do that anymore."  And instantly she was changed by God.   My uncle wrote to me and said:  "Your mother is changed.  She is really changed."   My dad was born again instantly by God when he was in his 70's.  All of a sudden he wanted to go to church.   Jesus said to Peter: Matthew16:17   Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.   It is not that we learn things and change.   We are instantly changed by God and are given the Holy Spirit to live in us.   II Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.   No man can do this for himself.  He can go forward at church and be baptized and do what they tell him to do to be a member of their church group, but he cannot change inwardly as those who are born of the Spirit of God change.   Being born again is an act of God, not an act of the will of man.   Countless numbers are members of a church group, but few are born of the Spirit of God and changed instantly into completely new creatures by God HIMSELF.   Being born again is instant change caused by God and not by mental learning of man. And it is having the Spirit of God living inside of you now to lead you and guide you.   These statements will make no sense to the vast number of church goers who have not been born again by the Spirit of God.   They think we learn everything by acts of our own will, by reading the Bible.   But we cannot understand things of God by reading the Bible until we have been born again by God.   I Corinthians 2:14   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   Jesus said:  Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  John 3:3   Paul says they are:  "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."  (II Timothy 3:7)   But we cannot understand things of God by reading the Bible until we have been born again by God and have the Spirit of God in us to guide us and teach us.  It is HIS Spirit causing us to change and to be recreated in the image of God.   The Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)   We cannot obtain these "gifts" by copying others who have these gifts.  These gifts of the Holy Spirit are given by God and are not a learned thing but, rather, a part of the new creation which God causes us to be when HE lives in us.   I Corinthians 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?   When we were born as babies from our natural parents, we did nothing to cause ourselves to be born.  Neither can we cause ourselves to be born again.  We are children of God by the will of God, and born of HIS Spirit, and recreated by God in HIS image.   As Jesus was born of the Holy Ghost, we also are now born of the Holy Ghost when we are born again.   And as Jesus could hear from God the Father, now we also can hear from God the Father by HIS Spirit who now lives in us.   As we inherit traits from our natural parents, now we inherit God's characteristics by being born of HIS Spirit.   We are changed by God and we are no longer like that person we once were.   Have you experienced that instant change from God?  If you have, you know it.  And others see that change in you also.   That is what being born again is.  We now have living in us God's Spirit.   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   It is not that we try to be godly.  We are godly, for God lives in us now, for we are born of God our Father and have HIS Spirit in us. *****   Comments by Pam Padgett    My great-aunt, Aunt Eunice, had gone to the Baptist church, I think all of her life.  As an adult she was very active in the Baptist church, even cleaning the church each week.  I'm sure everyone in our family had no doubt that Aunt Eunice was a Christian.   When she was in her 80's, there was a large family reunion.  At one point during the gathering, Aunt Eunice got up and announced with great joy and excitement that she was now born again!  She said she had always thought she was born again, but she now knew that she hadn't been born again until recently.   I was sitting next to Aunt Eunice's oldest daughter.  She leaned over to me and said "I don't know why Mother is saying this.  She just recently started talking like this.  But she has always been a Christian.  Everyone knows how she has worked at the church and done whatever needed to be done for years."    This daughter obviously didn't understand being born again, but it caused me to rejoice to hear what Aunt Eunice said.   Matthew 7:21-23  Jesus said:  Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.   22 Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?   23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.   ***   Comments by Joan Boney:   My aunt was Church of Christ all her adult life.  She was different from all the other relatives.  We got along great.  They were afraid of her but I was never afraid of Aunt Ardath.  They would say, "What would Ardath say?"  She was their gold standard concerning what was right and wrong.  But she wasn't that way with me.   After I was born again, I was at her house and the Holy Spirit said to me, "Tell her about being taken into heaven."  I didn't want to do that!  She was Church of Christ!  You don't tell supernatural religious things to Church of Christ.   But I knew it was the Holy Spirit telling me to do this, so I yielded myself to that which the Holy Spirit said for me to do.   I began telling my aunt this story:  After I was born again, I was transported into heaven in the night while I was sleeping.  I was with God and Christ and the Holy Spirit.  (I saw no physical images.  It was in the spirit.)  At that time I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God, God and the Holy Spirit witnessing.   As I told her this story, I noticed that a type of dreamy look came upon her face.   After I finished speaking, she said to me:  "Something like that happened to me once and it was all golden."   Then I knew why we always got along so well.   She once said to me, "I always knew you would never do anything wrong."   I did everything wrong!  But she must have seen me by faith.  For after I was born again I was completely changed instantly.   ***   When we are born again, we know we didn't do anything to cause us to be born again or to justify our being born again, it was all by the will of God.   I think this causes us to be more merciful toward those who are not born again.   Romans 9    6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:   7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall Thy seed be called.   8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.   9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.   10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;   11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of HIM that calleth;)   12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.   13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.   14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.   15 For HE saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.   16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.   17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew MY power in thee, and that MY name might be declared throughout all the earth.   18 Therefore hath HE mercy on whom HE will have mercy, and whom HE will HE hardeneth.   (If you have never experienced these changes from God, I suggest you fall down before God and beg God to have mercy on you.)  

    Seek ye first the kingdom of God and HIS righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you

    (This podcast was previously published on April 21, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When we are born again, changed by God, we are very different from the way we had been before.  Often we no longer enjoy the people or things we once enjoyed.  Usually we want to read the Bible and go to church to hear about God.   Now we seek God and His righteousness, what is right in the sight of God.   And this is our interest as long as God chooses to leave us on this present earth.   Here is a promise from God:   Psalm 84:11   For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will HE withhold from them that walk uprightly.   We go forward renewing our mind to the Bible, seeing the way God chooses for us to live, and we do those scriptures, growing in the image of Christ the Word.   God is our "sun" by HIS Spirit who brings to our mind the way to go.  God is also a shield, keeping us from things that would harm us.   And we find, in time, God has placed around us those good things which we can enjoy.   All we do is keep following various scriptures as they are given to us by the Holy Spirit, thus staying on God's highway.   *****   One of the things I enjoy most in this life is my sound system.  I love the sound effects of hearing a door open on the right of the TV.  Or hearing the clang of the old time elevator doors when they are closed.  I seem to hear all the sound effects in movies.  I like the sound of musical instruments to duplicate the clarity of the real instrument.   Along the way, some very good quality sound equipment came into my life.  God just enabled me to meet people who could help me develop a system.   I very much wanted to marry.  But to marry would not fit in with that which God planned for me to do on this earth.  Eventually I saw "that" and agreed with God.   Recently I saw an old 1948 movie, "The egg and I".  I thought it was a terrible movie but I was also helped immensely by seeing that movie.  I saw how terrible it would have been if I had actually married Buddy.  He is a farm and ranch person.   God is a shield for us.  Sometimes God keeps us from getting that which we want, and like a little child we have temper tantrums because God, The Father, did not let us have that. Later we rejoice that we didn't get what we wanted.  And we thank God for keeping us from getting that.   But when it is good for us to have that thing, God will see that it comes to us.   We just continue in HIS Word.   It is not that we are trying to get things by doing God's commandments.  We do God's word because we have a respect for God and know HIS way is right and best for us.  

    God makes changes in us and prepares us for that which is to come

    (This podcast was previously published on April 16, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   After we are born again by the Spirit of God, God seals us with HIS Spirit, and HIS Holy Spirit lives in us to show us the will of God as we continue in this present life.   Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,   Jesus says:   John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   He brings to our mind scriptures and concepts to show us the way of God as we deal with our present decisions in this life.   John 16:13   Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   The Holy Spirit lives inside each believer and HE is always with us to help us in the ways of God.   I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   The Holy Spirit of truth is a great help to us and a great comforter and assurance, especially in times of change.   Often even before the change, God prepares us for the change by giving us information from the Holy Spirit to show us things to come.   This Podcast tells of such a change and the ways God prepared me by HIS Spirit.   *****   I lived many years alone, by myself, in a house in Texas.   In 2018, I could still drive my car and go to grocery store and prepare my meals.  But I began feeling that I no longer wanted to live alone.   I had a large house in Texas, but I began to desire having a smaller living space with fewer responsibilities.   On December 6, 2018, I fell at my house in Texas.  As the ambulance workers rolled me past the front door of my house, the Holy Spirit brought to my mind the following information.  "You'll never see this house again."   I knew immediately this was information from God.  It did not trouble me at all.  I knew God had another plan for me and I was happy to go the way of God for I had experience with God and knew this would be a better way to live.   I put my house in Texas up for sale even while I was in the hospital.   At that time, I didn't know where I would be going but I believed I would never see the Texas house again.  I had no concern at all.   A few times in the months before I fell, I thought of moving to Colorado Springs.  One of our church women lives there and we work together on the church blog and ministry books, and I thought it would be good to live where she lives, in the same city.  (I suspect it was God planting this in my mind to cause me to go in peace when the plan unfolded in the next few months.)   John 13:16   Jesus says:  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   (God was guiding me step by step into all truth and God was showing me things to come.)   During the 2 1/2 months in the rehabilitation hospital in Texas, the plan unfolded for me to move to Colorado Springs and to live in the home of Pam Padgett, a member of the body of Christ.   Because of all those things put into my heart by God, I had no doubt at all about this plan.   God prepared me for a very big change, and it was really good, and worked out great!   I don't think it would have been as easy without the work of the Holy Spirit in showing me step by step the way of God for me.   The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and the comforter to the people of God.  And HE shows us the will of God and that is all that really matters.  If we know this is the will of God for us, we go forth with great assurance.   Isaiah 55   8 For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the LORD.   9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.   10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:   11 So shall MY word be that goeth forth out of MY mouth: it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.   12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.   13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.  

    Did God tell me to do this? or was it another spirit?

    (This podcast was previously published on April 17, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Before we do anything, we must evaluate:  Did God tell me to do this?   As a new Christian, I owned a small business in Dallas, Texas.  A young woman filed a charge against me in US Courts.   I heard:  "Don't testify."   I believed it was God telling me this word.  Since I believed that, I told my lawyer I would not be testifying.   A woman who worked for me witnessed the situation that happened with the young woman at my shop.   My lawyer said he thought with Flo's testimony, we would win the case.  But he said, "I know we will win if you testify."   But I told my lawyer I thought God told me, "Don't testify."   The case went to court.  Flo testified but my lawyer wasn't satisfied with her testimony and he said to me:  "But if you will testify, I know we will win.   I told my lawyer I would check.   I went into the ladies room at the courthouse.  I prayed, "God ... what do YOU want me to do?"   I heard, "Don't testify."   I returned to the court room.  The lawyer looked at me and I just shook my head, "NO."   The trial continued for two days.   I was acquitted of all charges.   The only thing that matters is:  What does God want me to do?   Was that God who gave me that word?   If we are persuaded it was God who told us to do that, then that is what we do.   The only way we can endure is if we have fully established that what we are doing is what God wants done and we have God's word on the matter.   Are you able to recognize the thoughts brought by the Holy Spirit?   *****   Are you able to recognize when ideas are from devils, or from your own flesh?   James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.   Was that thought from God?  or another spirit?   ***   In 1980, a young couple were attending Word of Faith church, which I also attended at that time. They said God had called them to go to Israel "to minister".   They quit their secular jobs and headed out to Israel.   A week later, they were back at church.   "What happened?'  we asked.   They said it was completely impossible for them to work in Israel because they did not know the language.   People often want to do a "big" work for God.   But is that really God leading you, or is it your own desire?   Without a strong word from God, it is impossible to do an act of "faith", for first you must have that Word upon which to build your faith, and that word must come from the Spirit that is of God.   Jesus said:   Matthew 7:21-23   Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven.   22 Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?   23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.   The devil tempted Jesus:   Matthew 4:5-7   Then the devil taketh HIM (Jesus) up into the holy city, and setteth HIM on a pinnacle of the temple,  And saith unto HIM, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give His angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.   7  Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. ***   I've had many times I have heard from the Holy Spirit of God concerning what to do. Sometimes I will be reminded of a scripture and other times I will have a concept brought to my mind.   * I was driving along the road when a truck loaded with firewood pulled up beside me.  I looked at the wood and thought how much I would like to have a wood burning fireplace instead of gas logs.  To my mind came the following from the Holy Spirit:  "You can have this."   * I fell at my house in Texas and was very badly injured.  I began trying to crawl to an area where there was a phone, but the pain was so severe I could only manage about an inch at a time before having to quit.  I lived alone and it was a week before someone was due to come to my house.  If I couldn't get to the phone, I felt I would die.  And as I considered this, I heard the following from the Holy Spirit.  "You can do this."  Because of that Word which I knew was from God, I continued inching my way toward the phone.   * After an accident at my house in Texas, the ambulance workers were rolling me past the front door of my house and I heard this from the Holy Spirit. "You'll never see this house again."  I put that house up for sale while I was still in the hospital in Texas.   John 16:13   Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   * I moved to Colorado in 2019.  My house in Texas was still for sale when the Coronavirus struck in March 2020.  I was very concerned.  I asked God if there was anything I should do about that house in Texas.  I heard this immediately by the Holy Spirit:  "Lower the price of the house and put it on a special sale for one week."  I did that and the house sold in 2 days after it had been on the market for 1-1/2 years.   * I was considering having my 25-year-old car seats reupholstered.  As I thought about this, the Holy Spirit said:  "Or you could just buy a new car."  I'd never thought of doing that.  But I could do that, for I had just sold my house in Texas and the money was sitting in the bank.   * One day some concerns came to my mind in the form of "What if this happens."  I began praying and the Holy Spirit said to me, "God will provide all your needs."  That is a scripture in Philippians 4:19,  I believed that and immediately I was in complete peace again.   John 14:26   Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   The Holy Spirit of Truth is the Comforter and HE brings us scriptures and concepts so we can live in peace when we have concerns come upon us on this present earth.   ***   Jesus says:  John 10:10   The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.   When I encounter a problem, ideas often come to my mind concerning how I can deal with that problem.   If the idea is very complex, expensive, difficult to do, I always know it is not an idea from God.  Therefore I pray again asking God what I should do.   Also if what I am about to do is going to bring hurt to another person, I need to reevaluate my plan, for we do not want to needlessly cause injury to another person.   I know this:  God's yoke is easy, and God's burden is light.  (Matthew 11:30)   James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.   I know the ideas that are from God because they are easy, simple, not complex ... full of mercy,  joy, peace ... without any hypocrisy.   Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  

    Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Phil. 2:12

    (This podcast was previously published on April 12, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   (This podcast was previously published on April 12, 2021)   Philippians 2:12-14 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.   13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure.   14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:   15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;   16 Holding forth the word of life;   James 1:22   But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.   Many church people do deceive themselves.  They think they are doing well when they are actually causing disruption in the church and troubling people needlessly.   We must be led by God in that which we say and in that which we do, otherwise we can hurt other people rather than help them.   Many church goers are "dull of hearing."   Hebrews 5   11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.   12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.   13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.   14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.   If a person cannot hear from the Spirit of God, that person can be deadly to the church, trying to follow God by the letter of the law rather than the Spirit of the law.   First, we must have the Holy Spirit to witness to the word of God.  And we learn to hear what the Spirit tells us and that is what we speak and do.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 15, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God brings the Word to us by HIS Spirit, but sometimes that Word is stolen by the devil.  We can stop that from happening.   Jesus teaches:   Mark 4   And HE (Jesus) began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto HIM a great multitude, so that HE entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.   2 And HE taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in HIS doctrine,   3 Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:   4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.   5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:   6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.   7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.   8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.   9 And HE said unto them, he that hath ears to hear, let him hear.   We can make the word become fruitful by doing a few simple things, explained in this Podcast.   *****   Mark 4   The sower soweth the word.   15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.   16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;   17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.   18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,   19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.   20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.   ***   We must continually keep ourselves in peace through prayer over all concerns, settling with God everything that troubles us.   Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   For that which allows the Word to become unfruitful is the following:   Mark 4:19  And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.   So we take all cares to God in prayer when the trouble surfaces.   By doing this diligently, we keep ourselves in a state of peace through prayer.   ***   The devil brings thoughts to us to trouble us.  But we pray over that concern and God brings the antidote to the poisonous thoughts of the devil.   Recently I became concerned.  I prayed. And immediately the following scripture came to my mind.   Philippians 4:19   But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus (The Word).   I believed that word brought by the Holy Spirit, and instantly my mind was at peace again, resting in that word which God brought to me by HIS Spirit.   When a need surfaces in my life, God will supply that need.   God is totally faithful and totally adequate and will never fall short!   ***   We deepen the root system of the Word through thinking on the word and then acting in an appropriate way concerning that Word which we have heard from God.   Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.   ***   Philemon v. 6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.   Given the opportunity, we share that good thing that God has done for us, with other people.  

    Jesus was born of the Holy Ghost, and when we are born again we are born of the Spirit of God and are children of God, like Jesus

    (This podcast was previously published on April 13, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Matthew 1:18   Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.   After we are born again by the Word of God from the Holy Spirit of God, we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit lives in us and teaches and guides us, showing us the will of God.   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   Like Jesus, God is our Father after we are born of HIS Spirit, and God lives in us by HIS Spirit.   Matthew l:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.   God is also "with us" for by HIS Spirit, Jesus dwells in us after we are born again by the Holy Spirit.   John 5:30 Jesus says: I can of MINE own self do nothing: as I hear (from God), I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME.   The Holy Spirit will bring to our minds a scripture or a concept to show us the will of God for us as we live on this earth, and we believe that Word and know it shows us God's will and we take action appropriate to that word which is given us by God.   I find this to be very comforting to know it is God's will for me to do such and such.   For example:  In 2020, I was considering putting new upholstery on my 25-year-old car.  As I thought about this, the following from the Spirit of God came to my mind:  "Or you could just buy a new car."   I began thinking on that word and I reasoned:  "I could buy a new car.  I had just sold my house in Texas and the money was in my bank account and I had plenty of money to buy a new car."   That same night, God gave me a dream:  I bought a new car.   That is what I did the following day.  I knew it was authored by God to do that and it was approved by God.   God knows the future.   I was sure God was showing me the best way for me to go in this matter.   Joshua 1:9  Have not I commanded thee? (says God)   Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.   God leads us by thoughts brought to our mind by HIS Spirit and also by dreams which HE gives us. *****   John 14:26   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13   Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   ***   I Corinthians 2   4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:   5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.   6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:   7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   When I was born again in 1975, God showed me the above scriptures and taught me to follow HIM by HIS Spirit.   Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   But many church goers are unbelievers and do not have faith in the Word of God and they do not have God's Spirit and cannot enter into HIS rest because of their unbelief.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 10, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   II Timothy 1:6  (Paul says to Timothy)   6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.   7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.   8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;   9 WHO hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to HIS own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,   10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, WHO hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:   11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.   12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know WHOM  I have believed, and am persuaded that HE is able to keep that which I have committed unto HIM against that day.   13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.   14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.   We keep ourselves by the Holy Spirit as we hear what HE says and follow HIM, doing those things appropriate to HIS Word. ***   The apostle Peter says:   II Peter 3   1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:   2 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:   ***   So how do we stir up our pure minds?   We remember the way God caused us to be born again.  We remember the scriptures God has called to our minds during the past years.  We remember the dreams God has given to us.  We remember some of those previous things God has had us to do.   As we think on these things, we stir up the gifts of God that are in us.  

    Be not deceived. Evil communications corrupt good manners. (I Cor. 15:33)

    (This podcast was previously published on April 9, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   I Corinthians 15:33-34 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.  Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:   I'm very careful to review ways of God after I hear a person speak contrary to the Bible.  Often on TV concepts are presented that are opposite to the ways of God.  And when we visit with people, they often say things which we know to be in variance to the Word of God.   What I try to do is this:   Romans 12:2   And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,   Contrary words can go into our hearts and end up leading us in another way unless we uproot that which the world speaks by reviewing that which the Bible says.   Their words eat as doth a canker (cancer) ...   Later we will find ourselves speaking things that shock us unless we uproot the words spoken by the world.   Jesus says:   Matthew 12   33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.   34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.   35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.   36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.   37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

    Draw nigh to God, and HE will draw nigh to you. (James 4:8)

    (This podcast was previously published on April 6, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Sometimes we will be on fire for spiritual things.  And sometimes we will feel dead.   When we seem to have no spark, no life, start praying and thank God for that which you do have.   And then start reading Bible and focus on any scripture that stands out to you as you read.  God has a special message for you that day in that scripture.   God will not leave us nor forsake us.  (Hebrews 13:5)   Also when you feel a little dead, just start thanking God for specific blessings HE has given you in your life, and you will begin again to feel HIS blood rush through you.  Often HE will remind you of a scripture.  Look at that scripture, for it is God speaking to you by HIS Spirit who reminds you of that scripture.   When you are troubled about anything, stop reading the Bible and start praying.   Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.   After you have settled the problem with God, and have the peace of God again, then read the Bible.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 4, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Concerning an hundredfold return:   Mark 10:28-30   Then Peter began to say unto HIM, Lo, we have left all, and have followed THEE.   29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for MY sake, and the gospel's,   30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.   When we follow the call of Jesus and speak the word of God we risk everything.   People may leave us.  Our reputations among other humans often diminishes.  They no longer want to be around us. We might even end up losing everything we have.  But Jesus says we will receive 100-fold return now in this present life.   In 1982, God said to me:  "The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God."   I was very popular on radio at that time as I exhorted the church.   God began showing me sins that were being committed by several big-time radio/TV preachers.  When I delivered those messages, I became very unpopular on radio and several stations put me off the air and offerings decreased by about 2/3rds.  Church friends left me.  It was very sad for me for about 10-years.   Then God began raising me up again.   The increase began with a blog in 2012.  Then books on Amazon in 2015.  Then Podcasts in 2020.  100-fold return now in this lifetime.   Paul lost all when he followed Jesus:   Philippians 3:5-11 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in HIM, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know HIM, and the power of HIS resurrection, and the fellowship of HIS sufferings, being made conformable unto HIS death;  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 11, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   A woman used to visit with me and speak all manner of secular things which were not in the Bible.   After she spoke, I would explain to her:  "What you just said is not in the Bible.  I want to build my house on the word of God."   Then she would grow very silent for awhile.   Later she would visit me again, and again speak another worldly saying, a vain babbling.  And again, I would tell her what she just said to me is not in the Bible and the Bible is true and what I want to build on.   Philippians 2:13-16   For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;   Holding forth the word of life;   I didn't have to argue or dispute.  I just told her what she said was not in the Bible and that I wanted to build my thinking on that which is in the Bible.   II Timothy 2:16-17 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.  And their word will eat as doth a canker:   When we speak the word of God, we present the antidote to the poisonous sayings of this world.  

    Receive with meekness the engrafted Word which is able to save your souls. (James 1:21)

    (This podcast was previously published on April 7, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God calls HIS Word to our mind by HIS Spirit.  We must learn to stop and focus on "that" word when this happens.   Or if we are reading Bible and a scripture stands out to us as we are reading, stop and focus on "that" scripture for there is a special message from God to us in that verse and it will fill a hole in our heart at that exact moment if only we will stop and focus on that scripture.   James 1:   17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.   18 Of HIS own will begat HE us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of HIS creatures.   19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:   20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.   21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.   22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.   Consider this:  What was the last scripture brought to your attention by the Holy Spirit?   Look at that scripture for it is a special message from God to you and it will fill a need in your heart at this point in time.   Learn to collect these scriptures and look through these scriptures throughout the day.  They will strengthen you and help you to keep faith in God in the midst of darkness of this present world.   Here is a scripture which delights me and excites me and encourages me to speak things of God.   Philippians 2:15-16    Paul says:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life;   When I am with someone, and God reminds me of a scripture, I try to have courage to share that scripture or that concept for that is what that person needs at that exact moment.   I don't plan ahead what I will say.  I often pray asking God to have me to speak only that which HE wants spoken when I am with another person.   Then when I am reminded of that scripture or concept, I speak.   Then I know that is God doing the work, and not me.  

    Delight yourself in the Lord and HE will give you the desires of your heart (Psa. 37:4)

    (This podcast was previously published on April 3, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   As we love the Word of God and do the Word of God we will find that God often plants HIS own desire into our hearts, giving us the desires of our heart.   Psalm 37   1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.   2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.   3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.   4 Delight thyself also in the LORD (in the Word); and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart.   5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in HIM; and HE shall bring it to pass.   6 And HE shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.   7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.   8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.   9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.   When we see those who do evil, know that God will judge that evil doer ... and God will judge us too!   Know, in hope, that judgment will come from God and when that is the case it will be just.   Therefore keep your trust centered in God.  And don't allow yourself to be swept away with the iniquity.    

    Loving the Word of God. Delighting in HIM.

    (This podcast was previously published on April 5, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The Lord is The Word of God.  Jesus is The Word of God.   John 1:1-4    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.  In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men.   If we love the scriptures, we love Jesus.  If we delight in the scriptures, we delight in Jesus.   Psalm 1:1-3   1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.   2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.   3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.   *****   As we go out holding forth the Word of God in a dark and crooked nation, we are lights of this world showing the salvation of the word to this world.   Examples:   Matthew 5:32   Jesus says:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   ***   Romans 1:24-29    Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   ***   John 14:6   Jesus says:  I  (The Word) am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME.   ***   Matthew 11:28-30    Jesus says:   Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.   ***   Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   ***   Matthew 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.   ***   Joshua 1:5  God says:  I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.   Hebrews 13:5   I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.   ***   James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.   God helps us constantly, as long as HE chooses to leave us on this earth.  

    God gives us HIS Spirit so we can know what HE wants us to do in the issues of this life

    (This podcast was previously published on April 1, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God gives us HIS Spirit so we can know what HE wants us to do in the issues of this life.   We pray.  But then how do we know what God wants us to do?   The Holy Spirit will bring ideas to our minds.  Often the Holy Spirit will remind us of a scripture and by that scripture we can understand what to do.  Sometimes God will communicate with us by a dream.  And sometimes God will cause HIS Minister to speak a word to us and we understand by that Word.   * The Holy Spirit teaches us all things. (secular & spiritual)  John 14:26   * The Holy Spirit reminds us of everything Jesus has said to us.  John 14:26   * The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth.  John 16:13   * The Holy Spirit shows us things to come.  John 16:13   The Holy Spirit searches the heart of God and reveals to us the will of God by bringing thoughts to our mind.   I Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   God communicates with each of HIS children today by HIS Spirit who brings ideas and thoughts and concepts of God to our mind to show us what to do.   Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   We can tell which ideas are from God by the following characteristics:   James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

    (This podcast was previously published on March 28, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   From heaven, Jesus calls HIS ministers to work in the church:   Ephesians 4:8;11-12  When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men... And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   When a minister is called by Jesus from heaven, for the NT church, God teaches that minister by HIS Spirit, by the Holy Spirit.   I John 2:27-28   But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.  And now, little children, abide in HIM; that, when HE shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before HIM at HIS coming.   Since I have been on internet, blog & podcasts, I have received multiple emails from men around the world who say they are pastors and they want me to be their "mentor".   But ministers are called by Jesus to be ministers and taught by Jesus what to do and what to say.   If a minister needs a human to supervise him, that man might not be called by God for the ministry.   Galatians 1:10-12  Paul says:   For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of (by) me is not after man. For I neither received it of (from) man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.   I find many ministers do not know what ministry office they are called to do: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher.   These men are not likely called by Jesus to be ministers but they somehow try to put themselves into the ministry.   Jude describes it as follows:   Jude: vv. 17-19 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.   Peter also warned us:   II Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.   Many ministers today are not called by God nor taught by the Holy Spirit of God.  They just put themselves into the ministry by going to a Bible College or by copying other men who do ministry work.   And Jesus said this concerning the end times.   Matthew 24:4-5  Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.   *****   Ministry of apostle:  works with church doctrine, causing individuals to set their doctrines by New Testament Bible.  (Acts 15)   Ministry of prophet:  brings correction and instruction to the church to help individuals to get free from traps and to help them to stay free.  (Hosea 12:13)  

    Do your assignment: Work in the place God has given you and God will bless you in "that" land

    (This podcast was previously published on March 30, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God told Isaac to work in the land to which HE had assigned him, and HE would bless him in that land, in that assignment.  (Genesis 26:2-3)   I was working with a woman in a problem she was having and she had been struggling with for several months.   God brought the following scriptures to my mind which revealed to me the source of her problem:   Joshua 2:8   They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.   II Corinthians 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;   The solution for her in this problem was for her to focus on doing her own assignment as wife and mother.  She had been thinking of that which others, her husband & daughter, were doing and might be doing, and her mind was troubled by such.  No doubt devils were bringing suggestions to her concerning that which others were doing and that was troubling her.  But devil is a liar so thoughts that were coming to her to trouble her were likely wrong.   What she needed to do was consider the assignment God had given to her and to do that work with all her heart:   * Help meet for her husband.   Genesis 2   7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into HIS nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.   8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there HE put the man whom HE had formed.   18  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.   21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and HE (God) took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;   22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man.   She should pray often concerning "how she could help her husband" ... preparing meals and having his clothing ready for his work day. Keeping her house clean and orderly.  Keeping an atmosphere conducive to rest and peace. Refusing to focus on "lying vanities" concerning what he might be doing.  Instead doing her job as a wife and mother and busying herself with those activities.   Genesis 3   16 Unto the woman HE (God) said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.   And I said to her:  "Your husband cannot understand spiritual things because he is not born again ... so make him a chocolate pie."   She burst out laughing.   I Corinthians 2:14   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   And she needs to care for her 5 adult aged children and live a godly life in front of all persons.   When she does these things, fulfilling the assignment given to her by God, she will be blessed by God and she will be a blessing to all others who come across her path.   *****   Also please listen to the following Podcast, click here:  Roles ordained by God for men and women, as shown by Bible )  

    Jesus says: You shall be witnesses unto ME after the Holy Ghost is come upon you

    (This podcast was previously published on April 2, 2021)    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    We can say many words, but when the Holy Spirit brings something to our mind and we speak "that word" we witness to God and Jesus and we know exactly what the problem is when we counsel another person.   We can speculate and avail nothing.  We can try to speak something and say nothing of real value.   But when we speak as the Holy Spirit gives us a word to speak, we speak truth and the gates of hell cannot stand against that word that is revealed from God by the Spirit.   Acts 1:8   Jesus says:  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.   Over and over, during this life, God brings us a word by HIS Spirit.  It is not a one time event.  The Holy Spirit lives in us and speaks the Word from God through us.  When that happens, the power of God is there in that word.

    (This podcast was previously published on March 31, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Matthew 10:32-39   Jesus says:   Whosoever therefore shall confess ME (The Word) before men, him will I confess also before MY Father which is in heaven.  But whosoever shall deny ME before men, him will I also deny before MY Father which is in heaven.   34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.   35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.   36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.   37 He that loveth father or mother more than ME is not worthy of ME: and he that loveth son or daughter more than ME is not worthy of ME.   38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME, is not worthy of ME.   39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for MY sake shall find it.   But we must be certain it is God who has given us that idea or information, for the devil also brings ideas to us and so does our own flesh.   If you are fully persuaded the word you have heard is from God, you must do that word.  But we should not be surprised if our own household tries to stop us.   James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.   *****   John 5:30 Jesus says:   I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.   Neither can we do anything of our own selves.  We must hear from God by HIS Spirit before we do anything.

    (This podcast was previously published on March 25, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The Bible teaches us so much about God's plan concerning men and women and the way God created men and women.  The world tries to make everything the same, same opportunities, even same roles.   It is difficult to enter into our assignment from God and to understand the way God created us unless we view some scriptures on this subject.   God ordained the following:   Genesis 2:7-8   And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.   8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there HE put the man whom HE had formed.   18  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.   21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and HE (God) took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;   22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man.   ***   God created the woman to be an helper to the man.   Some women will not marry.  Some women will be assigned other roles by God.   But most women will marry and when they do marry, God has created them especially for that man to be his help meet.   ***   Eve was deceived by Satan and after the transgression, God put the following assignment on the man and the woman and there was a difference in the role of the man and the woman.   For the man:   Genesis 3   17-19 And unto Adam HE (God) said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.   For the woman:   Genesis 3   16 Unto the woman HE (God) said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.   (Already we see that God has created the woman for the man so she would be a help meet to the man.)   ***   So we go forth perfectly created and joined by God.   But men and women change the creation in their own wisdom and things fall apart.   As long as we accept our assignments, God blesses us in that to which HE has assigned to us.   And as long as we do what God wants us to do we are blessed and we bless others by our lives, whether we marry or whether we are single.   God said to Isaac:  Genesis 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee;   *****   Mark 10   Jesus says:   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;   8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   ***   Divorce was created because of the hardness of the heart:   Mark 10   2 And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus) , and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.   3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?   4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.   5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.   ***   Matthew 5:32   Jesus said:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   * Woman who remarries after divorce commits adultery.   * Man who divorces a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.   * Man who marries divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   Deborah, a married woman who judged Israel.   Judges 4   4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.   5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.   6 And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?   7 And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.   8 And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.   9 And she said, I will surely go with thee:   (So there are times God uses a woman for multiple purposes.)   ***   Women often want to fulfill themselves.   My mother wanted to be a teacher.  My dad did not want my mother to work outside the home.  So my mother did not try to get a job outside the home.  My dad wanted my mother to stay at home and take care of me and the house.   Pam Padgett's younger sister had 4 children.  This sister wanted to be fulfilled and she wanted to work in a day care center.  She convinced her parents to buy the day care center for her.  Her husband was against her working outside the home and he wanted her to stay at home and take care of their children.  But she got the day care center.  She and her husband ended up in divorce.   Today so much is upside down and opposite to that set forth in Bible.   Things are getting worse and they grow farther away from Bible.   ***   Some women will not marry and they will have other assignments from God.   I Corinthians 7     26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.   27  Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.   28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.   29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;   30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;   31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.   32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:   33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.   34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.   35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.   36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.   37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.   38 So then he that giveth in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth not in marriage doeth better.   ***   Most people will marry and here are very important instructions concerning those who marry.   I Corinthians 7   10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.   13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.   14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.   15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.   16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?   39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.   ***   When we choose to follow that which is ordained by God for us by following the Spirit in that which is set forth in the New Testament Bible, we greatly bless ourselves and others.   It is good to focus on these scriptures concerning marriage, divorce, remarriage and remaining single.  

    Sometimes we misinterpret a scripture, or a dream, and we end up in bondage never intended by God

    (This podcast was previously published on March 26, 2021)    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   I was born again in 1975, by God speaking a word to me by His Spirit.   About two weeks later, in the night while I was sleeping, I was "transported" into heaven and was merged into the body of Christ, made one with the Word of God, God and Holy Spirit witnessing.  (I saw no physical images it was a spiritual experience.)   A few nights later, the exact same thing happened to me a second time.   What did this mean?   Later I came to believe at this time I was ordained to be a minister of Jesus in two offices, as apostle and prophet.   But how can I do this being a woman?   The apostle Paul said:   I Corinthians 14:34-35   Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.   The Spirit of God said to me:  "Look at what these women were doing?"   When I re-read the scripture, I realized these women were asking questions during the church gathering and were thereby interrupting the service.  Paul was stopping them.   The Spirit of God then reminded me that Philip had 4 daughters who did prophesy.  Acts 21:9   Prophecy is for the church, so these daughters would have to speak to the church to prophesy.   By these things, God persuaded me to do the work to which I am called, exhorting the church as an apostle/prophet.   I completely agree with Paul that women must be kept under control.  I've witnessed women taking over in the church and stopping the flow of the Spirit of God.  I would stop them also.   But when a woman has a Word from God she should be free to speak that Word from God to the church gathering that all may be edified in the church.   *****   Also God reminded me of Deborah. She was a prophet in OT.  She was married.  She judged Israel.  She even told the captain of the army to go to war.   Judges 4:4-5  And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.   6-7 And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun? And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.   8 And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.   9 And she said, I will surely go with thee:   This example of Deborah and the way God used Deborah for the children of Israel shows us that God does as HE wills with women in the church.   ***   I love scripture.  But I also know sometimes humans misuse scripture and they bind themselves by scriptures in ways God never intended.   We must take scripture to God, and ask HIM to give us wisdom about those verses, and allow God to interpret scripture to us.   Once God gave me something to say to the church and I said to God, "If I say that, they will not understand and they will misinterpret what I am saying."   God said, "They misunderstood what Paul said didn't they?"   Peter said this concerning them misunderstanding what Paul wrote to them:   II Peter 3:15-16 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;   16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.   (Those who have the Spirit will understand but the others will not understand.  For the sake of those who have the Spirit, we speak, and we suffer the persecution from the others.)   If we are led by God and HIS Spirit we will understand as one and be united by HIS Spirit.   Ephesians 4   4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;   5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,   6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.   But many try to understand with their natural mind and they end up setting up other denominations.  

    Promises of God to us when we do those scriptures which HE gives us

    (This podcast was previously published on March 29, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When we meditate on those scriptures brought to our attention by the Holy Spirit and we do those instructions, we have a promise from God that we will prosper and have good success in all that we do on this earth.   Joshua 1:8   God says:  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   ***   Psalm 1:1-3   Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.   2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.   3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.   *****   Example:   Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.   ***   Philippians 2:5-7  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made Himself of no reputation,   ***   And the following two scriptures have greatly influenced me even unto the present day:   Hebrews 3:13-14  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;   Exhort: to urge earnestly by advice or warning   Hebrews 10:25 ... exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.  

    Jesus called Paul from heaven as Jesus calls His ministers today from heaven

    (This podcast was previously published on March 15, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   After Jesus arose into heaven, HE set up the New Testament church and called some individuals to be HIS ministers to edify HIS church.   Ephesians 4:11-12 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   The apostle Paul was persecuting the Christians after the time Jesus was crucified and taken into heaven.   From heaven, Jesus called Paul and set him into the ministry.   Acts 9   1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,   2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.   3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:   4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?   5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.   Paul heard a voice which was Jesus speaking from heaven to him.  Paul did not see a physical image of Jesus.  Jesus called to Paul from heaven.   Jesus sets up HIS ministers today from heaven by reaching those persons to reveal to them that they are to be ministers of Jesus, the call of Jesus to be HIS minister.   And with that call of God, those persons called by God are given gifts of the Holy Spirit which identify themselves to others as being of God, with the "hand of God" being upon them. So Jesus confirms HIS ministers to the church.   But some individuals put themselves into the church as ministers without having the Spirit of God.   Jude vv. 17-19 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.   One very big-time minister said he shut himself up in his garage for two weeks and memorized the teaching tapes of another minister.  Another radio/TV minister said she got an acting coach to help her to make her presentations more interesting.   So some put themselves into the ministry.  And they often gain great numbers of followers.   But we, who are real ministers of Jesus, are called by Jesus for the work of the ministry.  

    Keeping those scriptures before us which God gives to us by HIS Spirit

    (This podcast was previously published on March 27, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God brings scriptures to our attention to encourage us.   When this happens, those scriptures are chosen by God for us to fit our need.   For example:   In a need Pam Padgett had, God gave her this scripture:  Psalm 32:8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye.   In my need, God gave me:  Romans 1:16-17  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.   It is important to collect the scriptures which God brings to our mind and  keep them before us day and night (for a season) to strengthen us and encourage us in our assignments.   As individuals, our needs at this point in time differ, but God fills those needs in our lives by calling to our attention scriptures or dreams which we need to keep before us.   I will share with you a few of my personal collection of scriptures which I keep on my Kindle photo album for easy access.   I usually go over these scriptures daily to help me in the faith and to strengthen me in the assignment God has given me while HE keeps me on this present earth.   This may shock you, but I find it even harder today to keep the faith and do the work of God than it was 40 years ago.   I believe this means the sins of people and the attack of devils has increased because we draw closer to the return of Jesus.  (See: Revelation 12:11-13)   Therefore I find that I need to do even more meditating in scriptures, for the time of Jesus' return draws nearer.   Joan Boney   *****   As we encounter problems of this life, to put a spotlight on the problem we are having and to strengthen us to be able to overcome in the situation, God may give us a scripture or a dream to show us what to do.   ***   In February 2021, some disturbing thoughts came to my mind in the form of "what if?" ... Instantly God brought the following to my mind:   Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  (by the Word HE gives you)   I said:  "That's right!"   If a "need" arises, God will bring me a "WORD" to show me what to do and that need will vanish when I do that Word.   I added that scripture to a list of scriptures which God has brought to my mind in the past so I can be encouraged as I live on this present earth and go forward.   Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. ***   In 1975, I owned a small business and a man filed a law suit against me.  I hired a lawyer.  But the bills for the legal services began coming in weekly and it was taking most of the profits from my business to pay those bills.   One day, God brought the following scripture to my attention:   Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   I began to reason this scripture:   I am now a Christian so this promise applies to me.  Therefore the weapon of this lawsuit cannot prosper against me.  I can dismiss my lawyer and go to court without any human legal counsel, eliminating the financial drain coming upon my business.  I dismissed my lawyer based on what this scripture said to me.  I planned to go to court with out human legal counsel.  Six days before the trial, the man dropped all charges and there was no court case.   I keep this scripture in my mediation scriptures to remind me and encourage me as I go forward.   ***   When I was a new Christian, God called to my attention several scriptures showing me what the Holy Spirit of God would do for me.   John 14:26  Jesus said ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   I Corinthians 2   6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:   7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   I owned a small business in American Indian arts at that time and I began to live by that which God showed me by HIS Spirit.   Before I would go to buy merchandise, I would pray for the artist to make the items I needed.  When I saw the art objects, I prayed for God to show me what to buy.  As I returned to my shop, I prayed for God to send out the angels to bring the customers into my shop to buy the art objects.   In the 4 years I operated that business, every item sold.  I never had a special sale.  The items just sold.   ***   As a new Christian, God called my attention to the following scripture:   James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.   At the same time, I was reading about wisdom given to Solomon and I read many scriptures in Proverbs which encourage us to seek wisdom.   When I saw this, I wrote in my Bible, above each chapter, "Pray for wisdom."  For I knew I needed God's wisdom to understand scripture.   I John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.   God teaches us by the Holy Spirit who lives in us and reminds us of scripture and concepts.  

    Without hearing from God we can do nothing and we know nothing. (Jn. 5:30)

    (This podcast was previously published on March 20, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Jesus said:  I can of MINE own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME.   (John 5:30)   How do we know the will of God?   As the Holy Spirit who dwells in us reminds us of scripture or shows us a concept, we know the will of God.   As Jesus always heard from God, so we do also by the Spirit of God who reminds us of scripture or brings us truth or a concept.   People want to be right and to be seen as being right.   But we can only be right as we are following that which God shows us to do.   Matthew 7  Jesus says:   21 Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven.   22 Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?   23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.   24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:   25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.   26 And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:   27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.  

    Living godly lives by the Spirit of God, not by letter of the law

    (This podcast was previously published on March 24, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    I'm very fortunate because I've had a godly aunt in my life and I've had an opportunity to see a person who was not fearful but joyous.  And she was content to be in her assignment as assigned by God and she worked there!  She radiated joy in God.  God was never a burden to her but was a joy.  She didn't have to try to be an example of a godly person for she was a godly person.   A truly godly person who is led by the Spirit of God is not a fearful person for he knows God will always be with him and help him to make godly choices.   He doesn't have to be godly by himself, but HE has the Spirit of God in him to show him what to do and the Spirit will always lead in that which is right in the sight of God.   The people who try to live by the letter of the law are ridged and always afraid.   Yet we, who follow the Spirit, uphold the law by the Spirit, for the Holy Spirit is Holy and will not present a way to us that is opposite to scripture or contrary to that which God wants us to do.   We are as Paul said in the following:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;  Holding forth the word of life;  (Philippians 2:15-16)   We, who live by the Spirit, are free from sins, for we follow the Spirit who leads us in the way of God, and we are joyous, thankful to God that we have another way to live on this earth.   We are a blessing to all who come across our path!   Importantly, we know our assignment from God as we live on this present earth and we get our instruction from God and we follow HIM and we remain steadfast in that which God gives us to do.   In this Podcast, I will try to show examples of persons who live by the Spirit of God and how different they are from church goers who are living by the letter of the law.   *****   My aunt married a man she did not love.  As a type of rebellious teenager in approximately 1915, she loved a young man but something happened and out of spite she married another "boy".   The man she married was physically rough.  When we visited them when I was a child, he would "hug" me when we arrived at their house, but the grip of his hand on my arm hurt.  And he was a man filled with fear.   Somewhere along her life, my aunt became born again and was even transported into heaven and she said it was all golden there.   My aunt was wonderful at cooking and cleaning and sewing!  She had a great joy in her as she helped her husband and family and others.  That joy radiated!   During part of her life she was postmistress in their rural village in Arkansas.  Later she worked as a clerk in a department store in the dress shop area.  She put her whole heart into that which she did and worked in joy.   I didn't hear her mention God but everyone knew she was a godly woman.   And she loved people and did all she could to help them, even strangers.   She had the Spirit of God in her and she followed the Spirit of God although she attended the Church of Christ denomination which even removed some of the Bible references to the "Holy Ghost".   Before she died, I was born again, and we spoke often of things of God.  She was never afraid of me.   She told me she knew some things were wrong at "the church".   Mostly when I was with her after I was born again, we spoke of scripture.   When I think of Proverbs 31, I think of this aunt.   She once said to me, "I always knew you would never do anything wrong."   (I did lots of things wrong but she must have seen me by faith.)   ***   Amazingly her daughter was just opposite.  She attended Church of Christ and was always afraid that someone would do something wrong.  I doubt she was born again.  She tried to live by the letter of the law, so far as I can tell.  She was the most fear-filled person I've ever seen.  And even after I was born again she fought me greatly.  I don't think she knew what it was to be born again.  She seemed to think that we humans did things of Bible by our own will.   She once said to me, "Well ... I believe you are a Christian ... I just don't see how you can be!"   (I just laughed, for I was pretty sure she was not born again though she always attended church and her husband was a leader in their church group.)   Being born again and following the Spirit of God is often bewildering to church goers.   II Corinthians 3:6   (God) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.   *****   We who are godly keep ourselves in the love of God.   And we are joyous and extremely hopeful for we truly know God.  We don't try to be joyful.  We are joyful for our experience with God is joy.   Yet we obey God by HIS Spirit as HE shows us scripture and we allow God to re-create us in the image of that verse of scripture as we apply that scripture to our lives.   We follow God by HIS Spirit doing scripture with great joy knowing scripture is freedom from sin for us.  

    Covetousness comes by comparing yourself with others

    (This podcast was previously published on March 19, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   I became interested in the word "covetousness" and looked this up in dictionary and saw a revealing definition showing that which causes covetousness:   "covetousness:  eager or excessive desire, especially for wealth or possessions.  Social media so often encourages us to compare ourselves to others, inspiring covetousness and insecurity."   And I recalled the following scripture:   II Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.   ***   Hebrews 13:5   Let your conversation (manner of life) be without covetousness;   ***   After God put me on radio in 1980, a woman at our church group said to me, "I want to be like you.  I want to do what you do".   I was surprised and responded, "You do?"  (I just couldn't imagine anyone wanting to do that which God had me doing.)   Later another woman in church said to me, "I don't see how I can compete with you who have been taken into heaven twice."   In the body of Christ, we should not be trying to "compete" with other persons but rather we should follow those scriptures brought to our attention by God and allow God to form us as HE wills in the body of Christ.   We are recreated over and over by examining those scriptures given us by God and by following HIM through doing those scriptures, thus being continually formed by God into the image of Christ.   ***   Young people in school often want to be like other people or have that which other people have.   I do see this as "unwise", as the apostle Paul said to us.   But until now, I had not seen it as the root of "covetousness".   Covetousness is one of the serious sins of the flesh.   I Corinthians 5:11;13 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat... put away from among yourselves that wicked person.   I Corinthians 6:9-10   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   ***   Our goal should be to follow God as HE works through our life and therefore be recreated by God in HIS image, doing what HE tells us to do, being satisfied in the way HE recreates us.   Ephesians 2:10 For we are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.   Philippians 2:13   For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure.   I Corinthians 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?   ***   Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation (manner of life) be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.   Let us do that which God has enabled us to do, always knowing it is God who made it possible for us to do that which we do.   Each of us are totally unique when we follow God and indispensable as an integral part of the body of Christ working as a specific part in the body as created by God.
