(This podcast was previously published on July 16, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Matthew 24:12-13   And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.   We, the elect of God, endure by following that which is brought to our mind by the Holy Spirit.   Remember the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and HE will:  teach us all things, remind us of all that Jesus has said, guide us into all truth, and show us things to come. (John 14:26 & John 16:13)   Also God will not fail us nor forsake us.  (Joshua 1:5 & Hebrews 13:5)   Jesus says:   John 6   35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to ME shall never hunger; and he that believeth on ME shall never thirst.   39-40 And this is the Father's will which hath sent ME, that of all which HE hath given ME I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.   40 And this is the will of HIM that sent ME, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on HIM, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.   47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on ME hath everlasting life.   48 I am that bread of life.   49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.   50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.   51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever:   We eat the "bread" by believing the Word that is carried to us by the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit.  We do this as long as God leaves us on this earth.  The elect of God hear the voice of Jesus by HIS Spirit and we follow HIM and will not follow the voice of a stranger.  John 10   John 10  Jesus says:   4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.   5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.   27  My sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME:   28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any pluck them out of MY hand.   29 My Father, which gave them ME, is greater than all; and no (none) is able to pluck them out of MY Father's hand.   30 I and MY Father are one.   John 6  Jesus says:   53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink HIS blood, ye have no life in you.   Every time God sends HIS Word to us and we eat and drink that Word, believing on that Word, we eat the flesh of Jesus and drink HIS blood and have HIS life by HIS Word which was sent to us by God.   They received manna and ate it and lived.   But we receive Jesus by that Word that comes down to us from God and we eat that Word and live by HIM and life is in us each time we receive HIS Word ... I've always thought it is like receiving a blood transfusion.   Jesus says:   54 Whoso eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.   55 For MY flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.   56 He that eateth MY flesh, and drinketh MY blood, dwelleth in ME, and I in him.   57 As the living Father hath sent ME, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth ME, even he shall live by ME.   58 This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.   63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Building your house on the word from God

(This podcast was previously published on May 3, 2022)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Jesus said:  And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.  (Matthew 10:36)   So it is not unusual when you speak the Word from God to have a relative or the church people fight against that Word.   In 1977, my cousin, Church of Christ member, once said to me, "Well ... I believe you are a Christian ... I just don't see how you can be one."   She did not understand being born again.   For the next 40-years, she fought me and tried to get me to quit the work I believe God gave me to do.   In 2019, she waged her last battle against me.  It was by exchange of letters for by this time she had gone totally deaf and could not hear by phone and the only communication I could have with her was by letter.  (She didn't know how to do email so we sent US mail to each other.)  She lived in another city from me, about 500 miles away.   She was 97-years-old at that time.   My prayer was that God would reveal to her before she died that I was of HIM and I was just trying to do that which HE told me to do.   (Then she could be saved and go to the new heaven, new Jerusalem.  But if she died fighting against me, that would be same as fighting against God.)   On May 31, 2021, God gave me a dream showing me this cousin now knows I was doing HIS work and we were at peace with one another.   I've always believed God could save a person at the time of that person's last breath on this earth.   Just speak the truth and hold fast to the truth when speaking to another person.  And quit worrying and have faith in God.   If we pray according to the will of God, our prayer will be answered.   I John 5:14-15   And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us:  And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.

Each person who belongs to God has the Holy Spirit.   The apostle Paul tells us this:   I Corinthians 3:16   Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   And Jesus tells us what the Holy Spirit does for each of us.   John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

Larry McCall has been married to his high school sweetheart for more than 50 years and pastored the same church for over 40. He knows firsthand what it takes to enjoy a marriage that lasts. He's also seen the bad things that happen to marriages in the middle and later years. In his book A Seasoned Marriage, he walks couples through the seasons that can quietly undo a marriage: empty nests, adult kids moving back home, aging parents, and the slow drift from spouse to roommate. He and Arlene talk about why putting Christ at the center of marriage matters more than ever as the years go on, and how couples can become closer friends instead of growing apart. If your kids are young, this episode is still for you — what you build now is what you'll have later. 1:28 — Why the gospel has to be at the center of marriage, not just the beginning of it 3:28 — The "happiness trap" — what couples reveal when they pursue divorce 6:39 — When your spouse's faith is weak and you're carrying the marriage alone 8:25 — The story of a woman whose non-Christian husband came to faith after decades of prayer 10:31 — The low point in Larry and Gladine's marriage, and what turned it around 16:02 — Navigating adult kids moving back home without it wedging the marriage 23:38 — The difference between a Christian grandparent and an intentional Christian grandparent Grab a copy of Larry McCall's book: A Seasoned Marriage Learn more about Walking with Jesus Ministries: https://www.walkingwithjesusministries.org/ More Resources from Arlene Pellicane: SUBSCRIBE to Arlene's newsletter "What I'm Learning This Week" and get the checklist, 7 Warning Signs of Screen Overuse. Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus MinistriesOur mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God—especially in seasons of fear, uncertainty, and shifting foundations. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God's Word with clarity and conviction, calling believers to stop placing confidence in the world and start living fully anchored in God's truth.Today's Message“What Is Your Egypt?”Lee Arnold LiveScripture: Jeremiah 46:1–28Jeremiah 46 shifts the focus beyond Judah and delivers a powerful message about Egypt—a nation that looked strong, secure, and unstoppable. From a human perspective, Egypt had everything: military power, wealth, influence, and stability. For Judah, Egypt seemed like the obvious solution in a time of crisis. But what looked like strength was already headed for collapse. This chapter reminds us that misplaced trust will always lead to disappointment. The very thing Judah believed could save them was the very thing God was about to judge. Egypt could not protect them—because Egypt itself was not secure.Jeremiah 46 isn't just about a nation—it's about the human tendency to run toward something other than God when fear rises. It confronts the question we all must answer: What are we really trusting?Key Takeaways• Anything we trust more than God will eventually fail• What looks strong in the world may already be under God's judgment• Fear often drives us to false sources of security• Earthly power cannot provide lasting protection• God alone is a faithful and unshakable refuge• Jesus is not a temporary solution—He is a faithful Savior who never leaves• Trusting the wrong thing can lead to spiritual collapse• God's promises remain, even when everything else falls apart• The safest place is not in worldly strength—but in God's presenceToday's ReminderJudah looked at Egypt and saw security.God looked at Egypt and saw weakness. They saw protection—God saw judgment. They saw a solution—God saw a problem. How often do we do the same? When life becomes uncertain, we run—to money, careers, relationships, influence, or control. Not because those things are inherently wrong—but because we begin to trust them more than God.Jeremiah 46 reminds us: every “Egypt” eventually falls. The job can disappear. The economy can shift. The relationship can fail. The plan can collapse. But God remains.Twice in this chapter, God speaks directly to His people:“Do not fear… for I am with you.”That is the promise—not that life will be easy, but that God will be faithful. So the question is simple—but deeply personal:What is your Egypt? What are you trusting more than God?Where do you run when fear takes hold? What do you believe will save you?Because Egypt promises security—but delivers disappointment.Jesus promises salvation—and delivers every time.Stay Connected• Sunday Sermons – Live on Zoom & Facebook• Wednesday Bible Study – He's The Solution Interactive Discussion• Daily Dose of Boldness – Daily encouragement from God's WordBe Bold for Jesus Conference 2026October 2–3, 2026Tickets & information at BB4J.comSupport the MissionHelp us continue sharing the Gospel and equipping believers to live boldly, wisely, and obediently for Christ.Give at bebold4jesus.org#BeBoldForJesus #Jeremiah46 #WhatIsYourEgypt #TrustGod #FaithOverFear #SpiritLed #Discernment #UnshakableFaith #BibleTeaching #SundaySermon

Somehow it was known that the person responsible for this explosion had setup another explosion for a specific day. We even knew the approximate time.   I started to leave the building where I was working on the sixth floor before the second explosion was to take place, but just a few steps down the stairs I remembered my purse and that all my identification was in it. I ran to where my purse was and got it.   Then I proceeded to leave, going down the stairs very quickly. I counted each floor as I passed by it descending down the stairs.   Some people were standing along the stairs, talking. I could tell by their talk that they knew the explosion was supposed to be coming, but they seemed to feel no sense of urgency. I didn't stop to try to persuade them to get out right away. Instead, I went around them and continued getting to the first floor so I could leave the building.   I got out of the building and continued quickly on my way to leave the area.   At one point I was aware the explosion had happened. There was a wall of glass doors in the outside area where I was. I went through one of the doors to the other side, getting as far away from the destruction as I could. I kept walking as quickly as possible.   At one point I saw a woman walking around with a dazed look. She was carrying a recording device. I heard her say she was interviewing people who had been hurt or raped during this event.   I kept walking as quickly as possible toward the parking lot so I could leave.   When I awoke from this dream, I heard, “Save yourself from this untoward generation”   Acts 2:40  And with many other words did he (Peter) testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.   Untoward: inappropriate, offensive, perverse, willful, crooked

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus MinistriesToday's Message: "When Faithfulness Feels Forgotten"Speaker: Lee Arnold LiveScripture: Jeremiah 45:1–5Have you ever thought, "Lord, I've been faithful... so why does it feel like everyone else is getting aheadexcept me?" Jeremiah 45 is the shortest chapter in the book, but it contains a powerful lesson for anyone who feelsoverlooked, discouraged, or forgotten. It centers on Baruch, Jeremiah's behind-the-scenes secretary. After years of faithful service, Baruch hit a breaking point amid national collapse. God met his discouragement byexposing his heart: "Do you seek great things for yourself? Seek them not." God wasn't rebuking success; He was rebuking self-centered ambition. Sometimes God's greatest blessing is teaching usthat His glory is greater than our recognition.Key Takeaways & ReflectionVisibility vs. Significance: God notices the vital work done behind the scenes. Heaven's Hall of Fame isfilled with people most have never heard of.Faithful People Get Discouraged: Discouragement isn't proof you are outside God's will; sometimes itmeans you are right in the middle of it.Success is Obedience: Kingdom success is measured by obedience, not earthly applause or results. The Ultimate Reward: The greatest reward for serving God is not what He gives us—it is God Himself.Questions to Ask: What area am I refusing to surrender? Am I mistaking God's patience for Hispermission? If God removed everything except Himself, would He still be enough? Our mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, andunwavering trust in God. O grave, where is thy victory?   56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.   57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.   58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.   ***   Jesus raises the dead in Christ.   I Thessalonians 4:13-17   But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.   14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.   15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede/go before) them which are asleep.   16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:   17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.   18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.   ***   Jesus gathers the elect in Christ who are still living on this earth and takes them into the air to be with Himself and the dead who are now resurrected and alive.   Matthew 24:29-31   Jesus says:   29  Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:   30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.   31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.   ***   The new heaven and new earth:   Revelation 21:1-5  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.   2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.   3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.   4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.   5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

(This podcast was previously published on May 7, 2022)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When Jesus walked on this earth HE called 12 men to be HIS apostles.   But after the crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus called from heaven HIS ministers, just as Jesus called the apostle Paul from heaven.   At the time Jesus called Paul to be a minister, Paul was persecuting the church.   Acts 9:1-6  And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,   2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.   3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:   4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?   5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt THOU have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.   This scripture shows us Jesus calling Paul (by name) and appointing him from heaven to be a minister after Jesus was crucified and raised into heaven.   Jesus does this same thing today as HE sets HIS ministers into today's church.  From heaven, Jesus speaks to HIS chosen ministers, appointing them into the ministry of the church and teaching them to do the work of the ministry to which HE has called them.   Ephesians 4:8  Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.   11-12  And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   I Corinthians 12:27-28  Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.  And God hath set some in the church (as ministers), first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.   Jesus, speaking from heaven, calls HIS ministers today.   But many ministers today do not have that call of Jesus on their lives.  They put themselves into the ministry by going to Bible college or seminaries without being called by Jesus to do so.  And they are the antichrists in today's churches.   Jude   17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;   18 How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers of other ministers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.   19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.   This is the end time apostasy.   2 Peter 2   1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.   2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.   (These false ministers explain away various scriptures and approve sins in the congregation by departing from scriptures such as Matthew 5:32 where Jesus said the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.   3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.   Many false ministers in today's church covet greatness for themselves and try to draw large numbers of people to their church for this makes them look "great" and also brings more money into the church.   This is the end time apostasy in the church where they fall away from specific scriptures and set up other doctrines contrary to the New Testament Bible Doctrines.   II Thessalonians 2   3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   In 1982, God said to me:  "This falling away are not people leaving the church group but are church groups leaving various scriptures."   NASB calls this the apostasy of the end times that had to happen in the churches before Jesus returns.   II Thessalonians 2:3-4  (NASB)   3 No one is to deceive you in any way! For it (the return of Jesus) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.   (Heretic is that person who resists godly counsel and continues in an opposite way, refusing to submit to the power of the truth of the scriptures.)   After the first or second warning, walk away and live in the peace given us by God.   For the apostle Peter tells us to keep ourselves in a continual state of peace as we wait for Jesus to return to remove us from this present earth.   2 Peter 3:13-14   Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.   We live in peace by committing all troublesome things to God in prayer, connecting with God this way, though prayer.   Philippians 4:6-7   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.   *****   Hating people and striving with them may seem to be right to a man but really that man is following his own flesh by doing such things.   Galatians 5:19-21   19  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,   20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (to vary, debate, argue), emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,   21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.   ***   The apostle Paul says:   Galatians 5:16   Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.   As we follow that brought to our mind by the Spirit, we will go in the way of the Spirit in the matter at hand and that way is opposite to the way of the flesh.   We win out over sin by turning from that sin and by walking away, staying in peace through that word given us by God.   ***   James 3:14-16   But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.   This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

(This podcast was previously published on April 6, 2022)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Is anything too hard for the God who made the heavens and the earth?   My faith in God soars each time I remember this!   And if I pray according to the will of God, that prayer will be answered by God.   I John 5:14-15  And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us:  And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.   It is so easy for the elect of God, for God has given to each of the elect HIS Spirit to live inside each of the elect of God.   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   It is not that we "try" to be godly.  We are godly because the Spirit of God lives in us.  And we follow HIM, doing godly things.   The Spirit who lives in us is the Spirit of Truth, The Comforter.  HE will guide us into all truth.   HE will teach us all things.  HE will remind us of all that Jesus has said.  HE will show us things to come. The Holy Spirit who lives inside of each of us who are the elect of God, searches the heart of God to reveal to us the will of God in the specific issues of this present life so we can go in the way of God in that matter.   I Corinthians 2:9-13   But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.  But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   Jesus says to us:   John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.   When we follow HIM, doing what HE says, things are even more abundant for us than we had planned for ourselves!   Examples on this Podcast:

(This podcast was previously published on April 16, 2022)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Jesus speaks to us today by HIS Spirit, guiding us, teaching us, reminding us of that which HE has said and even showing us things to come.   In the Old Testament, the people had to go to a prophet to hear what God wanted them to do.  But in the New Testament all who belong to God have been given HIS Spirit to speak to them.   Hebrews 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;   Each of us who are of God are sealed with the Holy Spirit of God and the Holy Spirit of God lives in us to show us the will of God in the issues pertaining to this present life.   Ephesians 1:13  In WHOM ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in WHOM also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,   John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   Always share that which the Holy Spirit brings to mind when with other people.   Resist the fear of offending them but rather submit to that which the Holy Spirit brings to your mind, sharing that.  We don't try to witness but we are a witness when we speak that given to us by the Holy Spirit of God.

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus MinistriesOur mission is to equip believers to live boldly for Christ with discernment, obedience, and unwavering trust in God—especially in seasons of uncertainty, fear, and decision-making. Led by Lee Arnold and Jaclyn Arnold, Be Bold for Jesus Ministries teaches God's Word with clarity and conviction, challenging believers to stop seeking approval for their plans and start surrendering fully to God's will.Today's Message“Don't Ask God If You've Already Decided”Lee Arnold LiveScripture: Jeremiah 42:1–22Jeremiah 42 reveals a powerful and convicting moment in the life of Israel's remnant. After chaos, fear, and uncertainty, the people come to Jeremiah asking him to seek God on their behalf. Their words sound humble. Their request sounds sincere. They promise obedience—whatever God says, they will do.But beneath their spiritual language lies a hidden truth: they had already decided to go to Egypt. This chapter exposes the danger of selective obedience—when we ask God for guidance but only intend to follow it if it aligns with what we already want. The people weren't asking for direction—they were asking for confirmation. And when God's answer finally comes after ten days, it's clear, direct, and good: stay, trust, and obey. But they reject it.Jeremiah 42 challenges us to examine the condition of our own hearts. Are we truly seeking God's will—or just hoping He agrees with ours?Key Takeaways• God cannot be deceived by outward sincerity when the heart is already decided• Asking for guidance without intention to obey is spiritual deception• Delayed obedience is still disobedience• Selective obedience is rebellion disguised as faith• God's will often requires trust over perceived safety• Fear can drive us toward “Egypt” instead of obedience• God's answers may take time—but they are always clear and trustworthy• True faith seeks God's direction, not His endorsement• The safest place is not where life feels easiest—but where God says to standToday's ReminderThe people in Jeremiah 42 sounded spiritual—but they were not surrendered. They asked God to speak, but they had no intention of following Him if the answer didn't match their plans. How often do we do the same?We pray for direction while already leaning toward our own decision. We ask for clarity when God has already spoken. We seek peace—not through obedience—but through justification.Jeremiah waited ten days to hear from the Lord. The people couldn't wait to ignore Him.God's message was simple: Stay where you are. Trust Me. Do not be afraid. But Egypt looked safer.Jeremiah 42 reminds us that what feels safe isn't always right—and what is right often requires surrender, patience, and trust. The real question is not:“Has God spoken?”The real question is:Will you obey what He already said?Because the most dangerous place a believer can live…is pretending to seek God while resisting His answer.Stay Connected• Sunday Sermons – Live on Zoom & Facebook• Wednesday Bible Study – He's The Solution Interactive Discussion• Daily Dose of Boldness – Daily encouragement from God's WordBe Bold for Jesus Conference 2026October 2–3, 2026Tickets & information at BB4J.comSupport the MissionHelp us continue sharing the Gospel and equipping believers to live boldly, wisely, and obediently for Christ.Give at bebold4jesus.org#BeBoldForJesus #Jeremiah42 #DontAskGodIfYouveAlreadyDecided #TrustAndObey #SpiritLed #Discernment #FaithInAction #ObedienceMatters #BibleTeaching #SundaySermon

(This podcast was previously published on July 24, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   If they ask us what we think, we should tell them what God thinks!   That is what matters.   The apostle Paul says:   2 Timothy 4:2-4  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.   3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;   4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.   If they are offended and they don't want to be around us anymore, we should understand the following:   I Corinthians 7:13  But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.   Though Paul is speaking the above scripture to those persons who have unbelieving mates, I also know this applies to unbelievers in general when we are around those unbelievers.   God says:   II Corinthians 6:14-18   14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?   15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?   16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.   17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,   18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.   It is not that we have to argue with the unbeliever.  We just speak the truth from God and let the person make his decision.

I do not support these churches for Jesus said:  "Whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery."   (Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.)   ***   Do I support churches where they teach the divorced woman that she can remarry?   "No."  Multiple scriptures show that the divorced woman who remarries while her husband is still living is an adulteress.   Romans 7:2-3  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.   3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   Mark. 10:6-12  Jesus says:  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.  7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;  8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.   11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. ***    I am a Christian.  I support the elect of God who are born again by the Holy Spirit of God,  those who live by the Bible, and those who demonstrate that they pray and follow the Holy Spirit of God and the Holy Scriptures.   Paul said concerning those who show a form of godliness but deny the power of God, just turn away from such.  That is what I do when I encounter such persons.  (2 Timothy 3:5)   But if I do encounter them, I speak as the door opens in the conversation to speak, I speak the word of God to them.   ***   Many people love their church buildings and their pastors and their stained glass windows and their choirs but they do not love the Word of God.  By their actions we see they are not of God though they love the religious trappings.  I do not support these persons.    ***   I support the elect of God and live in peace and fellowship with the elect of God.   *****   I believe we must begin to distinguish between "the elect of God" and church goers, for these are not the same.  Many are church goers, putting themselves into the church by their own will.  The elect of God are those persons chosen by God to whom God has revealed HIS truth and they have the Holy Spirit living inside of them.   Notice these scriptures in the New Testament Bible where the term "elect" is used.   2 John 1:13  The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.   Colossians 3:12  Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;   Romans 8:33  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.   Luke 18:7  And shall not God avenge HIS own elect, which cry day and night unto HIM, though HE bear long with them?   2 Timothy 2:10  Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.   Mark 13:22  For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.   Titus 1:1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;   Matthew 24:22  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.   1 Peter 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of th Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.   2 John 1:1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;   Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.   Mark 13:20  And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom HE hath chosen, HE hath shortened the days.   Matthew 24:31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.   Mark 13:27 And then shall HE send HIS angels, and shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.    ***   The elect of God are those who are chosen by God and God has revealed HIS truth to them, causing them to be born again by HIS Spirit, and they are changed by God into new creatures immediately.   2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Has this happened to you? Only God can do this. (I suggest you fall down before God asking God to please have mercy on you if you have not had this experience with God.)

The city of Jerusalem falls. Judgment arrives. Choices made in secret are exposed in public. Leaders who refused truth face devastating consequences, while those who trusted God—even quietly and courageously—are remembered, protected, and rewarded. This chapter reminds us that God is never indifferent to obedience or compromise. He sees every decision. He remembers every stand. And He always proves faithful to those who trust Him—no matter how small or unseen their faithfulness may seem.Key Takeaways• God always keeps His Word—both promises and warnings• What we ignore today often determines what we endure tomorrow• Delayed judgment does not mean dismissed judgment• Fear-driven leadership leads to destruction• Obedience may cost us in the moment but saves us in eternity• God sees faithful servants even when people overlook them• Mercy triumphs for those who trust and act in faith• God's rewards are certain, though not always immediateToday's ReminderZedekiah heard the truth repeatedly—yet delayed obedience until it was too late. Jeremiah stood firm—steadfast, rejected, imprisoned, and ignored—yet God never abandoned him. And in the midst of national collapse, God singled out one faithful man, Ebed-melech, and promised him deliverance simply because he trusted the Lord and acted with courage. This chapter proves a timeless truth: Whatever a person sows, they will reap. We may think we are the exception. We may believe time has erased the consequences. But God's justice is precise, patient, and unavoidable.God sees every act of faithfulness.God remembers every quiet prayer.God keeps the score—perfectly.Truth Statements• Standing for truth will often cost you• Weak leadership enables devastating outcomes• Obedience may bring hardship, not comfort• God always sees and sends help in His timing• Fear of people will keep us from God's bestThe question Jeremiah 39 leaves us with is sobering and personal:When obedience costs you something—will you stand, or will you run? When the pressure comes—will you ring the bell, or hold your ground?Because in the end, applause on earth fades—but heaven remembers faithfulness.Stay Connected• Sunday Sermons – Live on Zoom & Facebook• Wednesday Bible Study – He's The Solution Interactive Discussion• Daily Dose of Boldness – Daily encouragement from God's WordBe Bold for Jesus Conference 2026October 2–3, 2026Tickets & information at BB4J.comSupport the MissionHelp us continue sharing the Gospel and equipping believers to stand boldly for Christ in a world that desperately needs truth.Give at bebold4jesus.org#BeBoldForJesus #GodKeepsTheScore #Jeremiah39 #ObedienceOverFear #StandingForTruth #FaithThatEndures #LiveBoldly #BibleTeaching #SundaySermon #FaithInAction

Led by Lee and Jaclyn Arnold, we teach God's Word with clarity and conviction, calling people to authentic faith that lasts beyond the crisis.Today's message:“When Repentance Doesn't Last”(Jeremiah 34:1–22)In Jeremiah 34, the people of Judah make promises to God during a national crisis. Under pressure, they do the right thing. But when the pressure eases, they reverse their obedience. God makes it clear that He is not impressed by temporary repentance or public promises that are later taken back. This message confronts performative repentance and challenges us to examine whether our obedience is situational or surrendered. God sees beyond words and religious moments. He calls for lasting faithfulness.Key truths from today's message:• God is not impressed by temporary obedience• Pressure often produces promises, but true repentance lasts• You cannot bargain for God's blessing while resisting His authority• Public vows made before God are serious• Delayed obedience is still disobedience• Fear of people leads to compromise• Jesus kept the covenant we broke• Real freedom is found in surrendered obedienceToday's reminder:True repentance is not a moment, it is a direction. God is not mocked, but He is merciful. Because Jesus bore the curse of our broken promises, we are free to walk in lasting obedience and real forgiveness.“Choose faithfulness that lasts.”Stay connected and grow with us:• Sunday Sermons – Live on Zoom & Facebook• Wednesday Bible Study – Interactive and in-depth• Daily Dose of Boldness – Encouragement from God's WordBe Bold for Jesus Conference 2026

Welcome to Be Bold for Jesus Ministries! Our mission is to help believers live boldly for Christ and trust God fully, even when circumstances feel uncertain. Led by Lee and Jaclyn Arnold, we teach God's Word with clarity and conviction, anchoring our faith in His promises rather than the conditions of the world.Today's Message:“Faith in a Bad Market”(Jeremiah 32:1–44)In Jeremiah 32, God asks the prophet Jeremiah to do something that makes no sense by human standards. With Jerusalem under siege, the economy collapsing, and his own future uncertain, God tells Jeremiah to buy land. At the worst possible moment, God calls for obedience. This chapter reminds us that real faith doesn't wait for better conditions. Faith moves forward when everything says retreat. Jeremiah's obedience was a bold declaration that God's promises are more secure than present circumstances.Key Takeaways:• Faith does not depend on favorable conditions (Jeremiah 32:6–9)• Obedience often comes before understanding• God's promises are greater than present loss• Trusting God may look foolish to the world• Restoration follows obedience, even in difficult seasons• “Nothing is too hard for the Lord” (Jeremiah 32:17)Today's Reminder:What God allows is always working toward His purpose. Even in a bad market, God remains faithful. Ask yourself, “What field is God asking me to buy right now?” Step out in obedience and trust Him with the outcome.Stay Connected & Grow With Us:• Sunday Sermons – Live on Zoom & Facebook• Wednesday Bible Study – Interactive and in-depth• Daily Dose of Boldness – Encouragement from God's WordBe Bold for Jesus Conference 2026
