(This podcast was previously published on April 9, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   I Corinthians 15:33-34 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.  Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:   I'm very careful to review ways of God after I hear a person speak contrary to the Bible.  Often on TV concepts are presented that are opposite to the ways of God.  And when we visit with people, they often say things which we know to be in variance to the Word of God.   What I try to do is this:   Romans 12:2   And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,   Contrary words can go into our hearts and end up leading us in another way unless we uproot that which the world speaks by reviewing that which the Bible says.   Their words eat as doth a canker (cancer) ...   Later we will find ourselves speaking things that shock us unless we uproot the words spoken by the world.   Jesus says:   Matthew 12   33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.   34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.   35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.   36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.   37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

(This podcast was previously published on April 6, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Sometimes we will be on fire for spiritual things.  And sometimes we will feel dead.   When we seem to have no spark, no life, start praying and thank God for that which you do have.   And then start reading Bible and focus on any scripture that stands out to you as you read.  God has a special message for you that day in that scripture.   God will not leave us nor forsake us.  (Hebrews 13:5)   Also when you feel a little dead, just start thanking God for specific blessings HE has given you in your life, and you will begin again to feel HIS blood rush through you.  Often HE will remind you of a scripture.  Look at that scripture, for it is God speaking to you by HIS Spirit who reminds you of that scripture.   When you are troubled about anything, stop reading the Bible and start praying.   Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.   After you have settled the problem with God, and have the peace of God again, then read the Bible.

(This podcast was previously published on April 4, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Concerning an hundredfold return:   Mark 10:28-30   Then Peter began to say unto HIM, Lo, we have left all, and have followed THEE.   29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for MY sake, and the gospel's,   30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.   When we follow the call of Jesus and speak the word of God we risk everything.   People may leave us.  Our reputations among other humans often diminishes.  They no longer want to be around us. We might even end up losing everything we have.  But Jesus says we will receive 100-fold return now in this present life.   In 1982, God said to me:  "The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God."   I was very popular on radio at that time as I exhorted the church.   God began showing me sins that were being committed by several big-time radio/TV preachers.  When I delivered those messages, I became very unpopular on radio and several stations put me off the air and offerings decreased by about 2/3rds.  Church friends left me.  It was very sad for me for about 10-years.   Then God began raising me up again.   The increase began with a blog in 2012.  Then books on Amazon in 2015.  Then Podcasts in 2020.  100-fold return now in this lifetime.   Paul lost all when he followed Jesus:   Philippians 3:5-11 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in HIM, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know HIM, and the power of HIS resurrection, and the fellowship of HIS sufferings, being made conformable unto HIS death;  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

(This podcast was previously published on April 11, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   A woman used to visit with me and speak all manner of secular things which were not in the Bible.   After she spoke, I would explain to her:  "What you just said is not in the Bible.  I want to build my house on the word of God."   Then she would grow very silent for awhile.   Later she would visit me again, and again speak another worldly saying, a vain babbling.  And again, I would tell her what she just said to me is not in the Bible and the Bible is true and what I want to build on.   Philippians 2:13-16   For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;   Holding forth the word of life;   I didn't have to argue or dispute.  I just told her what she said was not in the Bible and that I wanted to build my thinking on that which is in the Bible.   II Timothy 2:16-17 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.  And their word will eat as doth a canker:   When we speak the word of God, we present the antidote to the poisonous sayings of this world.

(This podcast was previously published on April 7, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God calls HIS Word to our mind by HIS Spirit.  We must learn to stop and focus on "that" word when this happens.   Or if we are reading Bible and a scripture stands out to us as we are reading, stop and focus on "that" scripture for there is a special message from God to us in that verse and it will fill a hole in our heart at that exact moment if only we will stop and focus on that scripture.   James 1:   17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.   18 Of HIS own will begat HE us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of HIS creatures.   19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:   20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.   21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.   22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.   Consider this:  What was the last scripture brought to your attention by the Holy Spirit?   Look at that scripture for it is a special message from God to you and it will fill a need in your heart at this point in time.   Learn to collect these scriptures and look through these scriptures throughout the day.  They will strengthen you and help you to keep faith in God in the midst of darkness of this present world.   Here is a scripture which delights me and excites me and encourages me to speak things of God.   Philippians 2:15-16    Paul says:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life;   When I am with someone, and God reminds me of a scripture, I try to have courage to share that scripture or that concept for that is what that person needs at that exact moment.   I don't plan ahead what I will say.  I often pray asking God to have me to speak only that which HE wants spoken when I am with another person.   Then when I am reminded of that scripture or concept, I speak.   Then I know that is God doing the work, and not me.

(This podcast was previously published on April 3, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   As we love the Word of God and do the Word of God we will find that God often plants HIS own desire into our hearts, giving us the desires of our heart.   Psalm 37   1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.   2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.   3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.   4 Delight thyself also in the LORD (in the Word); and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart.   5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in HIM; and HE shall bring it to pass.   6 And HE shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.   7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.   8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.   9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.   When we see those who do evil, know that God will judge that evil doer ... and God will judge us too!   Know, in hope, that judgment will come from God and when that is the case it will be just.   Therefore keep your trust centered in God.  And don't allow yourself to be swept away with the iniquity.

(This podcast was previously published on April 5, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The Lord is The Word of God.  Jesus is The Word of God.   John 1:1-4    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.  In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men.   If we love the scriptures, we love Jesus.  If we delight in the scriptures, we delight in Jesus.   Psalm 1:1-3   1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.   2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.   3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.   *****   As we go out holding forth the Word of God in a dark and crooked nation, we are lights of this world showing the salvation of the word to this world.   Examples:   Matthew 5:32   Jesus says:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   ***   Romans 1:24-29    Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   ***   John 14:6   Jesus says:  I  (The Word) am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME.   ***   Matthew 11:28-30    Jesus says:   Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.   ***   Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   ***   Matthew 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.   ***   Joshua 1:5  God says:  I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.   Hebrews 13:5   I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.   ***   James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.   God helps us constantly, as long as HE chooses to leave us on this earth.

(This podcast was previously published on April 1, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God gives us HIS Spirit so we can know what HE wants us to do in the issues of this life.   We pray.  But then how do we know what God wants us to do?   The Holy Spirit will bring ideas to our minds.  Often the Holy Spirit will remind us of a scripture and by that scripture we can understand what to do.  Sometimes God will communicate with us by a dream.  And sometimes God will cause HIS Minister to speak a word to us and we understand by that Word.   * The Holy Spirit teaches us all things. (secular & spiritual)  John 14:26   * The Holy Spirit reminds us of everything Jesus has said to us.  John 14:26   * The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth.  John 16:13   * The Holy Spirit shows us things to come.  John 16:13   The Holy Spirit searches the heart of God and reveals to us the will of God by bringing thoughts to our mind.   I Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   God communicates with each of HIS children today by HIS Spirit who brings ideas and thoughts and concepts of God to our mind to show us what to do.   Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   We can tell which ideas are from God by the following characteristics:   James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

(This podcast was previously published on March 28, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   From heaven, Jesus calls HIS ministers to work in the church:   Ephesians 4:8;11-12  When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men... And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   When a minister is called by Jesus from heaven, for the NT church, God teaches that minister by HIS Spirit, by the Holy Spirit.   I John 2:27-28   But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.  And now, little children, abide in HIM; that, when HE shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before HIM at HIS coming.   Since I have been on internet, blog & podcasts, I have received multiple emails from men around the world who say they are pastors and they want me to be their "mentor".   But ministers are called by Jesus to be ministers and taught by Jesus what to do and what to say.   If a minister needs a human to supervise him, that man might not be called by God for the ministry.   Galatians 1:10-12  Paul says:   For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of (by) me is not after man. For I neither received it of (from) man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.   I find many ministers do not know what ministry office they are called to do: apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher.   These men are not likely called by Jesus to be ministers but they somehow try to put themselves into the ministry.   Jude describes it as follows:   Jude: vv. 17-19 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.   Peter also warned us:   II Peter 2:1-3 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.   Many ministers today are not called by God nor taught by the Holy Spirit of God.  They just put themselves into the ministry by going to a Bible College or by copying other men who do ministry work.   And Jesus said this concerning the end times.   Matthew 24:4-5  Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.   *****   Ministry of apostle:  works with church doctrine, causing individuals to set their doctrines by New Testament Bible.  (Acts 15)   Ministry of prophet:  brings correction and instruction to the church to help individuals to get free from traps and to help them to stay free.  (Hosea 12:13)

(This podcast was previously published on March 30, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God told Isaac to work in the land to which HE had assigned him, and HE would bless him in that land, in that assignment.  (Genesis 26:2-3)   I was working with a woman in a problem she was having and she had been struggling with for several months.   God brought the following scriptures to my mind which revealed to me the source of her problem:   Joshua 2:8   They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.   II Corinthians 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;   The solution for her in this problem was for her to focus on doing her own assignment as wife and mother.  She had been thinking of that which others, her husband & daughter, were doing and might be doing, and her mind was troubled by such.  No doubt devils were bringing suggestions to her concerning that which others were doing and that was troubling her.  But devil is a liar so thoughts that were coming to her to trouble her were likely wrong.   What she needed to do was consider the assignment God had given to her and to do that work with all her heart:   * Help meet for her husband.   Genesis 2   7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into HIS nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.   8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there HE put the man whom HE had formed.   18  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.   21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and HE (God) took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;   22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man.   She should pray often concerning "how she could help her husband" ... preparing meals and having his clothing ready for his work day. Keeping her house clean and orderly.  Keeping an atmosphere conducive to rest and peace. Refusing to focus on "lying vanities" concerning what he might be doing.  Instead doing her job as a wife and mother and busying herself with those activities.   Genesis 3   16 Unto the woman HE (God) said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.   And I said to her:  "Your husband cannot understand spiritual things because he is not born again ... so make him a chocolate pie."   She burst out laughing.   I Corinthians 2:14   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   And she needs to care for her 5 adult aged children and live a godly life in front of all persons.   When she does these things, fulfilling the assignment given to her by God, she will be blessed by God and she will be a blessing to all others who come across her path.   *****   Also please listen to the following Podcast, click here:  Roles ordained by God for men and women, as shown by Bible )

(This podcast was previously published on April 2, 2021)    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    We can say many words, but when the Holy Spirit brings something to our mind and we speak "that word" we witness to God and Jesus and we know exactly what the problem is when we counsel another person.   We can speculate and avail nothing.  We can try to speak something and say nothing of real value.   But when we speak as the Holy Spirit gives us a word to speak, we speak truth and the gates of hell cannot stand against that word that is revealed from God by the Spirit.   Acts 1:8   Jesus says:  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.   Over and over, during this life, God brings us a word by HIS Spirit.  It is not a one time event.  The Holy Spirit lives in us and speaks the Word from God through us.  When that happens, the power of God is there in that word.

(This podcast was previously published on March 31, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Matthew 10:32-39   Jesus says:   Whosoever therefore shall confess ME (The Word) before men, him will I confess also before MY Father which is in heaven.  But whosoever shall deny ME before men, him will I also deny before MY Father which is in heaven.   34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.   35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.   36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.   37 He that loveth father or mother more than ME is not worthy of ME: and he that loveth son or daughter more than ME is not worthy of ME.   38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME, is not worthy of ME.   39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for MY sake shall find it.   But we must be certain it is God who has given us that idea or information, for the devil also brings ideas to us and so does our own flesh.   If you are fully persuaded the word you have heard is from God, you must do that word.  But we should not be surprised if our own household tries to stop us.   James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.   *****   John 5:30 Jesus says:   I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.   Neither can we do anything of our own selves.  We must hear from God by HIS Spirit before we do anything.

(This podcast was previously published on March 25, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The Bible teaches us so much about God's plan concerning men and women and the way God created men and women.  The world tries to make everything the same, same opportunities, even same roles.   It is difficult to enter into our assignment from God and to understand the way God created us unless we view some scriptures on this subject.   God ordained the following:   Genesis 2:7-8   And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.   8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there HE put the man whom HE had formed.   18  And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.   21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and HE (God) took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;   22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man.   ***   God created the woman to be an helper to the man.   Some women will not marry.  Some women will be assigned other roles by God.   But most women will marry and when they do marry, God has created them especially for that man to be his help meet.   ***   Eve was deceived by Satan and after the transgression, God put the following assignment on the man and the woman and there was a difference in the role of the man and the woman.   For the man:   Genesis 3   17-19 And unto Adam HE (God) said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;  Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;  In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.   For the woman:   Genesis 3   16 Unto the woman HE (God) said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.   (Already we see that God has created the woman for the man so she would be a help meet to the man.)   ***   So we go forth perfectly created and joined by God.   But men and women change the creation in their own wisdom and things fall apart.   As long as we accept our assignments, God blesses us in that to which HE has assigned to us.   And as long as we do what God wants us to do we are blessed and we bless others by our lives, whether we marry or whether we are single.   God said to Isaac:  Genesis 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee;   *****   Mark 10   Jesus says:   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;   8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   ***   Divorce was created because of the hardness of the heart:   Mark 10   2 And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus) , and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.   3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?   4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.   5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.   ***   Matthew 5:32   Jesus said:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   * Woman who remarries after divorce commits adultery.   * Man who divorces a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.   * Man who marries divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   Deborah, a married woman who judged Israel.   Judges 4   4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.   5 And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.   6 And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?   7 And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.   8 And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.   9 And she said, I will surely go with thee:   (So there are times God uses a woman for multiple purposes.)   ***   Women often want to fulfill themselves.   My mother wanted to be a teacher.  My dad did not want my mother to work outside the home.  So my mother did not try to get a job outside the home.  My dad wanted my mother to stay at home and take care of me and the house.   Pam Padgett's younger sister had 4 children.  This sister wanted to be fulfilled and she wanted to work in a day care center.  She convinced her parents to buy the day care center for her.  Her husband was against her working outside the home and he wanted her to stay at home and take care of their children.  But she got the day care center.  She and her husband ended up in divorce.   Today so much is upside down and opposite to that set forth in Bible.   Things are getting worse and they grow farther away from Bible.   ***   Some women will not marry and they will have other assignments from God.   I Corinthians 7     26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.   27  Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.   28 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you.   29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;   30 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;   31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.   32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:   33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife.   34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.   35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.   36 But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.   37 Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.   38 So then he that giveth in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth not in marriage doeth better.   ***   Most people will marry and here are very important instructions concerning those who marry.   I Corinthians 7   10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.   13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.   14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.   15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.   16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?   39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.   ***   When we choose to follow that which is ordained by God for us by following the Spirit in that which is set forth in the New Testament Bible, we greatly bless ourselves and others.   It is good to focus on these scriptures concerning marriage, divorce, remarriage and remaining single.

(This podcast was previously published on March 26, 2021)    Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   I was born again in 1975, by God speaking a word to me by His Spirit.   About two weeks later, in the night while I was sleeping, I was "transported" into heaven and was merged into the body of Christ, made one with the Word of God, God and Holy Spirit witnessing.  (I saw no physical images it was a spiritual experience.)   A few nights later, the exact same thing happened to me a second time.   What did this mean?   Later I came to believe at this time I was ordained to be a minister of Jesus in two offices, as apostle and prophet.   But how can I do this being a woman?   The apostle Paul said:   I Corinthians 14:34-35   Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.   The Spirit of God said to me:  "Look at what these women were doing?"   When I re-read the scripture, I realized these women were asking questions during the church gathering and were thereby interrupting the service.  Paul was stopping them.   The Spirit of God then reminded me that Philip had 4 daughters who did prophesy.  Acts 21:9   Prophecy is for the church, so these daughters would have to speak to the church to prophesy.   By these things, God persuaded me to do the work to which I am called, exhorting the church as an apostle/prophet.   I completely agree with Paul that women must be kept under control.  I've witnessed women taking over in the church and stopping the flow of the Spirit of God.  I would stop them also.   But when a woman has a Word from God she should be free to speak that Word from God to the church gathering that all may be edified in the church.   *****   Also God reminded me of Deborah. She was a prophet in OT.  She was married.  She judged Israel.  She even told the captain of the army to go to war.   Judges 4:4-5  And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.   6-7 And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun? And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.   8 And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.   9 And she said, I will surely go with thee:   This example of Deborah and the way God used Deborah for the children of Israel shows us that God does as HE wills with women in the church.   ***   I love scripture.  But I also know sometimes humans misuse scripture and they bind themselves by scriptures in ways God never intended.   We must take scripture to God, and ask HIM to give us wisdom about those verses, and allow God to interpret scripture to us.   Once God gave me something to say to the church and I said to God, "If I say that, they will not understand and they will misinterpret what I am saying."   God said, "They misunderstood what Paul said didn't they?"   Peter said this concerning them misunderstanding what Paul wrote to them:   II Peter 3:15-16 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;   16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.   (Those who have the Spirit will understand but the others will not understand.  For the sake of those who have the Spirit, we speak, and we suffer the persecution from the others.)   If we are led by God and HIS Spirit we will understand as one and be united by HIS Spirit.   Ephesians 4   4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;   5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,   6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.   But many try to understand with their natural mind and they end up setting up other denominations.

(This podcast was previously published on March 29, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   When we meditate on those scriptures brought to our attention by the Holy Spirit and we do those instructions, we have a promise from God that we will prosper and have good success in all that we do on this earth.   Joshua 1:8   God says:  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   ***   Psalm 1:1-3   Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.   2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.   3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.   *****   Example:   Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.   ***   Philippians 2:5-7  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made Himself of no reputation,   ***   And the following two scriptures have greatly influenced me even unto the present day:   Hebrews 3:13-14  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;   Exhort: to urge earnestly by advice or warning   Hebrews 10:25 ... exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

(This podcast was previously published on March 15, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   After Jesus arose into heaven, HE set up the New Testament church and called some individuals to be HIS ministers to edify HIS church.   Ephesians 4:11-12 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   The apostle Paul was persecuting the Christians after the time Jesus was crucified and taken into heaven.   From heaven, Jesus called Paul and set him into the ministry.   Acts 9   1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,   2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.   3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:   4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?   5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.   Paul heard a voice which was Jesus speaking from heaven to him.  Paul did not see a physical image of Jesus.  Jesus called to Paul from heaven.   Jesus sets up HIS ministers today from heaven by reaching those persons to reveal to them that they are to be ministers of Jesus, the call of Jesus to be HIS minister.   And with that call of God, those persons called by God are given gifts of the Holy Spirit which identify themselves to others as being of God, with the "hand of God" being upon them. So Jesus confirms HIS ministers to the church.   But some individuals put themselves into the church as ministers without having the Spirit of God.   Jude vv. 17-19 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.   One very big-time minister said he shut himself up in his garage for two weeks and memorized the teaching tapes of another minister.  Another radio/TV minister said she got an acting coach to help her to make her presentations more interesting.   So some put themselves into the ministry.  And they often gain great numbers of followers.   But we, who are real ministers of Jesus, are called by Jesus for the work of the ministry.

(This podcast was previously published on March 27, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God brings scriptures to our attention to encourage us.   When this happens, those scriptures are chosen by God for us to fit our need.   For example:   In a need Pam Padgett had, God gave her this scripture:  Psalm 32:8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye.   In my need, God gave me:  Romans 1:16-17  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.   It is important to collect the scriptures which God brings to our mind and  keep them before us day and night (for a season) to strengthen us and encourage us in our assignments.   As individuals, our needs at this point in time differ, but God fills those needs in our lives by calling to our attention scriptures or dreams which we need to keep before us.   I will share with you a few of my personal collection of scriptures which I keep on my Kindle photo album for easy access.   I usually go over these scriptures daily to help me in the faith and to strengthen me in the assignment God has given me while HE keeps me on this present earth.   This may shock you, but I find it even harder today to keep the faith and do the work of God than it was 40 years ago.   I believe this means the sins of people and the attack of devils has increased because we draw closer to the return of Jesus.  (See: Revelation 12:11-13)   Therefore I find that I need to do even more meditating in scriptures, for the time of Jesus' return draws nearer.   Joan Boney   *****   As we encounter problems of this life, to put a spotlight on the problem we are having and to strengthen us to be able to overcome in the situation, God may give us a scripture or a dream to show us what to do.   ***   In February 2021, some disturbing thoughts came to my mind in the form of "what if?" ... Instantly God brought the following to my mind:   Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  (by the Word HE gives you)   I said:  "That's right!"   If a "need" arises, God will bring me a "WORD" to show me what to do and that need will vanish when I do that Word.   I added that scripture to a list of scriptures which God has brought to my mind in the past so I can be encouraged as I live on this present earth and go forward.   Psalm 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. ***   In 1975, I owned a small business and a man filed a law suit against me.  I hired a lawyer.  But the bills for the legal services began coming in weekly and it was taking most of the profits from my business to pay those bills.   One day, God brought the following scripture to my attention:   Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   I began to reason this scripture:   I am now a Christian so this promise applies to me.  Therefore the weapon of this lawsuit cannot prosper against me.  I can dismiss my lawyer and go to court without any human legal counsel, eliminating the financial drain coming upon my business.  I dismissed my lawyer based on what this scripture said to me.  I planned to go to court with out human legal counsel.  Six days before the trial, the man dropped all charges and there was no court case.   I keep this scripture in my mediation scriptures to remind me and encourage me as I go forward.   ***   When I was a new Christian, God called to my attention several scriptures showing me what the Holy Spirit of God would do for me.   John 14:26  Jesus said ... But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   I Corinthians 2   6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:   7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   I owned a small business in American Indian arts at that time and I began to live by that which God showed me by HIS Spirit.   Before I would go to buy merchandise, I would pray for the artist to make the items I needed.  When I saw the art objects, I prayed for God to show me what to buy.  As I returned to my shop, I prayed for God to send out the angels to bring the customers into my shop to buy the art objects.   In the 4 years I operated that business, every item sold.  I never had a special sale.  The items just sold.   ***   As a new Christian, God called my attention to the following scripture:   James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.   At the same time, I was reading about wisdom given to Solomon and I read many scriptures in Proverbs which encourage us to seek wisdom.   When I saw this, I wrote in my Bible, above each chapter, "Pray for wisdom."  For I knew I needed God's wisdom to understand scripture.   I John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.   God teaches us by the Holy Spirit who lives in us and reminds us of scripture and concepts.

(This podcast was previously published on March 20, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Jesus said:  I can of MINE own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME.   (John 5:30)   How do we know the will of God?   As the Holy Spirit who dwells in us reminds us of scripture or shows us a concept, we know the will of God.   As Jesus always heard from God, so we do also by the Spirit of God who reminds us of scripture or brings us truth or a concept.   People want to be right and to be seen as being right.   But we can only be right as we are following that which God shows us to do.   Matthew 7  Jesus says:   21 Not every one that saith unto ME, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of MY Father which is in heaven.   22 Many will say to ME in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?   23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from ME, ye that work iniquity.   24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:   25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.   26 And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:   27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

(This podcast was previously published on March 24, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    I'm very fortunate because I've had a godly aunt in my life and I've had an opportunity to see a person who was not fearful but joyous.  And she was content to be in her assignment as assigned by God and she worked there!  She radiated joy in God.  God was never a burden to her but was a joy.  She didn't have to try to be an example of a godly person for she was a godly person.   A truly godly person who is led by the Spirit of God is not a fearful person for he knows God will always be with him and help him to make godly choices.   He doesn't have to be godly by himself, but HE has the Spirit of God in him to show him what to do and the Spirit will always lead in that which is right in the sight of God.   The people who try to live by the letter of the law are ridged and always afraid.   Yet we, who follow the Spirit, uphold the law by the Spirit, for the Holy Spirit is Holy and will not present a way to us that is opposite to scripture or contrary to that which God wants us to do.   We are as Paul said in the following:  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;  Holding forth the word of life;  (Philippians 2:15-16)   We, who live by the Spirit, are free from sins, for we follow the Spirit who leads us in the way of God, and we are joyous, thankful to God that we have another way to live on this earth.   We are a blessing to all who come across our path!   Importantly, we know our assignment from God as we live on this present earth and we get our instruction from God and we follow HIM and we remain steadfast in that which God gives us to do.   In this Podcast, I will try to show examples of persons who live by the Spirit of God and how different they are from church goers who are living by the letter of the law.   *****   My aunt married a man she did not love.  As a type of rebellious teenager in approximately 1915, she loved a young man but something happened and out of spite she married another "boy".   The man she married was physically rough.  When we visited them when I was a child, he would "hug" me when we arrived at their house, but the grip of his hand on my arm hurt.  And he was a man filled with fear.   Somewhere along her life, my aunt became born again and was even transported into heaven and she said it was all golden there.   My aunt was wonderful at cooking and cleaning and sewing!  She had a great joy in her as she helped her husband and family and others.  That joy radiated!   During part of her life she was postmistress in their rural village in Arkansas.  Later she worked as a clerk in a department store in the dress shop area.  She put her whole heart into that which she did and worked in joy.   I didn't hear her mention God but everyone knew she was a godly woman.   And she loved people and did all she could to help them, even strangers.   She had the Spirit of God in her and she followed the Spirit of God although she attended the Church of Christ denomination which even removed some of the Bible references to the "Holy Ghost".   Before she died, I was born again, and we spoke often of things of God.  She was never afraid of me.   She told me she knew some things were wrong at "the church".   Mostly when I was with her after I was born again, we spoke of scripture.   When I think of Proverbs 31, I think of this aunt.   She once said to me, "I always knew you would never do anything wrong."   (I did lots of things wrong but she must have seen me by faith.)   ***   Amazingly her daughter was just opposite.  She attended Church of Christ and was always afraid that someone would do something wrong.  I doubt she was born again.  She tried to live by the letter of the law, so far as I can tell.  She was the most fear-filled person I've ever seen.  And even after I was born again she fought me greatly.  I don't think she knew what it was to be born again.  She seemed to think that we humans did things of Bible by our own will.   She once said to me, "Well ... I believe you are a Christian ... I just don't see how you can be!"   (I just laughed, for I was pretty sure she was not born again though she always attended church and her husband was a leader in their church group.)   Being born again and following the Spirit of God is often bewildering to church goers.   II Corinthians 3:6   (God) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.   *****   We who are godly keep ourselves in the love of God.   And we are joyous and extremely hopeful for we truly know God.  We don't try to be joyful.  We are joyful for our experience with God is joy.   Yet we obey God by HIS Spirit as HE shows us scripture and we allow God to re-create us in the image of that verse of scripture as we apply that scripture to our lives.   We follow God by HIS Spirit doing scripture with great joy knowing scripture is freedom from sin for us.

(This podcast was previously published on March 19, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   I became interested in the word "covetousness" and looked this up in dictionary and saw a revealing definition showing that which causes covetousness:   "covetousness:  eager or excessive desire, especially for wealth or possessions.  Social media so often encourages us to compare ourselves to others, inspiring covetousness and insecurity."   And I recalled the following scripture:   II Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.   ***   Hebrews 13:5   Let your conversation (manner of life) be without covetousness;   ***   After God put me on radio in 1980, a woman at our church group said to me, "I want to be like you.  I want to do what you do".   I was surprised and responded, "You do?"  (I just couldn't imagine anyone wanting to do that which God had me doing.)   Later another woman in church said to me, "I don't see how I can compete with you who have been taken into heaven twice."   In the body of Christ, we should not be trying to "compete" with other persons but rather we should follow those scriptures brought to our attention by God and allow God to form us as HE wills in the body of Christ.   We are recreated over and over by examining those scriptures given us by God and by following HIM through doing those scriptures, thus being continually formed by God into the image of Christ.   ***   Young people in school often want to be like other people or have that which other people have.   I do see this as "unwise", as the apostle Paul said to us.   But until now, I had not seen it as the root of "covetousness".   Covetousness is one of the serious sins of the flesh.   I Corinthians 5:11;13 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat... put away from among yourselves that wicked person.   I Corinthians 6:9-10   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   ***   Our goal should be to follow God as HE works through our life and therefore be recreated by God in HIS image, doing what HE tells us to do, being satisfied in the way HE recreates us.   Ephesians 2:10 For we are HIS workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.   Philippians 2:13   For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure.   I Corinthians 4:7 For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?   ***   Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation (manner of life) be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.   Let us do that which God has enabled us to do, always knowing it is God who made it possible for us to do that which we do.   Each of us are totally unique when we follow God and indispensable as an integral part of the body of Christ working as a specific part in the body as created by God.

(This podcast was previously published on March 21, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Hebrews 6:10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward HIS name (The Word), in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.   We really love the Word of God.   Philippians 2   12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.   13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.   14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:   15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;   16 Holding forth the word of life;   The world grows darker but that light in us is very bright and we do not hide the light that is in us.  We are different, for God has created us by HIS word and that causes us to be opposite from this world.   It is very exciting for us to be on this earth for we are as lights as we hold forth the word of life.

(This podcast was previously published on March 14, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Destructive thoughts come to our minds to turn us from that which God has shown us and to pull us down in this life.  These thoughts are often from devils.   Therefore the apostle Peter says:   I Peter 5:8-9   Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.   We must turn to God in prayer with these destructive thoughts and let God help us.   II Corinthians 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)   5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;   And the apostle Peter says:   I Peter 1:13-15  Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;  As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:  But as HE which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;   Thoughts brought to our minds from devils are exactly opposite to the truth and they can destroy us unless we turn to God for HIS help.   John 8:33  Jesus said this concerning the devil.   He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. It is very important for us to take each destructive thought captive and bring that thought into the obedience of Christ, The Word, calling on God when we are troubled.   Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   We must be diligent to pray over every concern, letting our "requests" be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 4:7)   Dealing in spiritual ways with destructive thoughts is very important and needed as long as God chooses to leave us on this present earth.

(This podcast was previously published on March 16, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    Matthew 7:13-14  Jesus says: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:   14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.   After I was born again, I asked my best friend, a Baptist:  "And what do we do now?"   She replied:  "Nothing."   I found that to be puzzling.   Revelation 22:14-15   Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.   15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.   At church groups, over and over, I would hear people say:  "It is all covered by the blood of Jesus."   It seemed to me that they preached a license to sin.   Revelation 3:5   Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.   We overcome the temptation by turning to God after we are born again.   To the woman taken in adultery, Jesus said:  "Go, and sin no more."   Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,   II Peter 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.   There are many things taught in church groups which make the individuals feel comfortable but are contrary to the scriptures in the New Testament Bible.   II Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.   Jesus says:  I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME (by The Word).  John 14:6   We are saved by the blood of Jesus, but after that, we do the commandments of God in the New Testament Bible.  Only by doing "the Word" can we enter into things of God and come to God.

(This podcast was previously published on March 18, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   There are many types of needs:   money,  jobs,  information concerning what to do,  encouragement in following God   Regardless of our need, God is our supply and source when we belong to HIM.   The king of Sodom offered to bless Abraham, but Abraham declined and said:   I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,  That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:  (Genesis 14:22-23)   Abraham purposed in his heart that he wanted his provision to come from God and not from man.   James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.   Deuteronomy 28:1-2  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.   Like Abraham, Moses refused the blessings that man could give to him and chose God for HIS source.   Hebrews 11:24-27   By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;  Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;  Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.  By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing HIM who is invisible.   We are greatly blessed when we choose to make God our source, HIM who is invisible, rather than making man our source on this earth.   *****   I am 83-years-old.  I can only walk a few steps with a walker.  One of our church members took me into her home to live and she helps me.  Recently she failed to come to my room to give me my medicine.  This was very unusual.  Had she fallen on the stairs?  Was she lying there helpless?  How will I get the animals fed? (2 dogs and 3 cats)  What if she has to go to hospital?  Thoughts were raging in my mind.   I began praying and instantly I heard this from the Holy Spirit:  "My God will supply all your need."   It was like having a great weight lift from my body.   I needed information and help and God supplied it at that moment by HIS Word which was brought to my mind and I relaxed, believing that word.   ***   In 1975, I owned a small business.  A man filed a law suit against me.  I hired lawyers to defend me in court.  But the legal fees were eating up all the profit from my little business.  What to do?  I needed wisdom.   My attention was drawn to the following promise of God to HIS people.   Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   I began reasoning this scripture:   I'm a Christian now so this promise applies to me.  This law suit is a weapon against me.  The legal fees are a weapon against me.  These weapons against me shall not prosper.  I will dismiss my lawyer and stop the legal fees and go to court without any human legal counsel.   When I released my attorney, he said:  "Joan ... you can't do this.  You don't realize how evil these courts are today.  We are willing to work with you.  It will only cost about $10,000 more to try your case."   $10,000 MORE ... I cried out, "Gordon ... stop ... don't do anything else!"   The following week, Gordon came back to my shop.  He said, "Joan ... we have decided we will try your case without any additional legal fees."   What is going on here?  One week it is going to cost $10,000 more and now it is free?  I didn't hear Gordon mention God in this.   So I replied,  "I'll have to get back with you on this."   I turned to God and began praying:  "What to YOU want me to do?"   I was reminded of a scripture to show me what to do:  Abraham said to the king of Sodom:  "I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,  That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:"  (Genesis 14:22-23)   I knew God was showing me to turn down the "free" legal service.   Several weeks passed.  Fear came in waves in forms of thoughts.  But with each fearful thought, God would remind me of a scripture to settle me.   I recorded all these scriptures on a cassette tape and played the tape when I went to bed each night.  When I awoke in the night, I turned the tape over and began playing it again.   Six days before we were to go to trial, the man dropped all charges against me.   Later my lawyer came back to my shop.  He said, "I want you to know that we have discussed your case at the law firm and we believe what you said happened actually happened."

This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   My righteousness is of God because it was God who showed me to do this and to say this.   ***   * Romans 12   2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   In each of the above scripture, there are things for us to do and to keep doing!   ***   Believe in the Holy Spirit leading us:   * John 14   Jesus says:   26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   * John 16   13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.   * I Corinthians 2   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   ***   These scriptures are the foundations upon which I built my life.   And there are many other scriptures also which I added through the trials of this present life as the Holy Spirit brought those scriptures to my attention.   As long as we live on this earth, God brings us The Word to show us what to do and to encourage us in HIS way.   * Isaiah 26   3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.   4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

(This podcast was previously published on March 13, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Several years ago, God gave me the following dream:   A stagecoach, pulled by 4 black horses, was racing toward a nearby cliff.  No one was driving the stagecoach.  Inside the carriage, I saw a silly looking woman looking out.  She had long blond curls and a big smile on her face and she had no idea how close she was to her own destruction.   As people demand their "rights" to do Biblical sins today, and to be respected and accepted and supported in their various sins, they are very near to going off that cliff into eternal damnation.   And by their demands, we know the season for judgment is very near, and Jesus is on the threshold.   *****   Romans 12   2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. ***   Romans 1   26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:   27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   ***   Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   * The faithful wife who remarries after her husband divorces her, commits adultery upon remarriage.   * The husband who divorces a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.   * The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   I Corinthians 7   10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:   11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   39 The wife is bound by the law (of the New Testament) as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   **   Romans 7   2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.   3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   ***   Mark 10   2  And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus), and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.   3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?   4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.   5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;   8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.   11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   ***   I Corinthians 6   9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God?  Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,   10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   (Becoming one flesh:)   15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.   16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.   17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.   18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.   ***   Galatians 5   19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,   20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,   21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.   ***   It is so important to review these scriptures regularly, for you will see these sins on TV almost each time you turn on TV, and often even at your churches some of these scriptures will be denied as congregations "love" the sinners.   Therefore it is important for us to review scriptures, renewing our mind to the Word of God in the midst of the sins around us.   Perilous times!

(This podcast was previously published on March 1, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Before God destroyed Sodom, sexual perversions were rampant among the city of Sodom.  "From every quarter", of the city of Sodom, men came out to have sex with the two men who lodged with Abraham's nephew, Lot. (Genesis 19)   God described the men of Sodom as follows:  Genesis 13:13   "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly."   When sins are closeted, done in secret, they are at a pre-boiling stage, like water simmering in a pot.   But when sins are open before all to see, and there is no shame causing them to hide their sins, it is like full boiling water which is going to spill over when left unattended.   In USA we have come to "stage 2" of sins where they are demanding that they have "a right" to do these Biblical sins.   So men and women live together, having sexual relations outside of marriage, without hiding their sins.   Homosexuals, lesbians, transvestites, and such, are demanding the same rights.   I am currently reading a secular book about Hitler, written by correspondent William Shirer.  In his book, he refers to homosexuals as "sexual perverts".   (I doubt that he could call homosexuals "sexual perverts" today.)   We see how far we have moved away from Bible since 1945 by this example.  For in the 1940's and 1950's homosexuals/lesbians were considered by society to be "sexual perverts".   We remember what the Bible says about homosexuals/lesbians for this is God view.   Romans 1:26-28  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   Certainly we do not "hate" homosexuals/lesbians, nor do we "hate" adulterers or fornicators or drunkards or other sinners.  But neither do we support them.  We just keep presenting that which the Bible says and we live by that.   *****   The last week of February, 2021, ABC News showed street protests where the organization formed by homosexuals and lesbians and other perversions gathered.  Some individuals were waving their organizational flags, the one with colored bands.   That same week a senator announced that some of his voters had become angry with him and might not vote for him in future, but he wasn't concerned because he was going to turn to the homosexuals/lesbians for his support.   To me, this is just another "leaf" on the tree signaling the season where wickedness abounds, and the cup of iniquity runs over in the sight of God, and Jesus returns for HIS elect, and the end comes.   Matthew 24   32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:   33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.   Luke 17   26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.   27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.   28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;   29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.   30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

(This podcast was previously published on March 11, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Romans 12:1-2   I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.   2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.   This world speaks and approves one thing while God speaks exactly the opposite by HIS Word.   By the New Testament Bible, we know that which God approves.   Consider this:  What does the Bible say? (This podcast was previously published on March 6, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   For those people in church groups who love the form of godliness but do not love the actual Word of God, God prepares HIS instruments of destruction.   God can use evil angels to lead those people in ways of destruction:   Psalm 78:49  HE cast upon them the fierceness of HIS anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.   These evil angels carry messages which seem to be from God but are not from God.   Paul spoke of this in the following:   Galatians 1:8-9  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.  As we said before, so say I now again, If any preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.   A divorced woman came to a non-denominational church group and pretended to be a regular single woman.  She was looking for an husband.  And she ignored scriptures concerning divorce and remarriage.   I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   Romans 7:1-3   Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   I believe God shows me this woman (who is no longer living) brought destruction upon herself and the man who married her who committed adultery by marrying this divorced woman.   Matthew 5:32   Jesus said:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   We have an example in Bible of God using "a lying spirit" to destroy king Ahab.   I Kings 22   20 And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner.   21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.   22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?   And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.   And HE (God) said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.   This lying spirit told king Ahab to go up and fight against the enemy and when he did this Ahab was killed in the battle.   God brings "a strong delusion" upon people who will not love the truth.   II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.   You cannot reason with a deluded person.  No matter how much evidence you present, that deluded person will cling to his delusion.   ***   Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.   ***   James 1   12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love HIM.   13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth HE any man:   14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.   15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

(This podcast was previously published on February 27, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   In the days before God destroyed Sodom, the sins were open and widespread in every part of the city.   Abraham's nephew, Lot, was continually troubled by that which they said and that which they did in Sodom.   Genesis 19  God sends 2 angels to destroy Sodom.   1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;   (Angels do not have wings.  Angels look like natural men.)   2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.   3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.   4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:   5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.  (have sex with them)   6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,   7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.   (Lot knew that which the men of Sodom planned in their hearts to do was wicked.)   II Peter 2   6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;   7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:   8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)   9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:   And why did Lot choose to live in Sodom where there was so much wickedness?   Genesis 13   10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.   (The beauty of Sodom attracted Lot to Sodom.  Beauty often attracts the flesh to itself and great evil often dwells in beauty.)   11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.   12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.   13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.   As Sodom was destroyed because of the wicked, this present world is going to be destroyed by God.  (II Peter 3:10-14)   Jesus said:  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.   But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.  (Matthew 24:12-13)   You may think you can lead them to God but they will lead you away from ways of God.   God has HIS way to deliver you but you might be ignoring God's way thinking you can help the ungodly.   You must rethink what you are doing if this is the case.   For if you are in "Sodom" when it is destroyed, you will be destroyed with Sodom.   *****   II Corinthians 6   14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?   15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?   16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.   17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,   18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

(This podcast was previously published on March 9, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   As a new Christian, in 1975, I came across an astounding scripture with this promise from God to the church.   Isaiah 54:17   No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   At that time I owned a small business.  A man filed a lawsuit against me.  This was certainly a weapon against me.  Also my own lawyers were sending me bills for their work and, at the rate this was going, I would be back in debt before long.  My lawyer bills were eating up all the profit from the sale of merchandise in my business.   When I saw that scripture in Isaiah 54, I began to reason:  I am now a Christian so this promise of God applies to me!  This weapon cannot prosper against me.  So I can dismiss my attorneys, since the lawsuit cannot prosper against me anyway, and I can stop all the legal bills, and I can go to court without any human legal counsel!   I definitely proved the validity of the scripture at that time and I know it is true for us today and valid today!   Then in 2019, God showed me something else about this scripture:   This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.   As a servant of God, my righteousness is of God, because I am doing that which God told me to do in the situations pertaining to the present life, so that makes my righteousness to be of God!

(This podcast was previously published on March 8, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   The power to believe the Word of God and to do the Word of God is attached to meditating in the scriptures given to us by the Holy Spirit.   Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.   Notice both of the above scriptures tells us:   for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   Take that scripture which is brought to your attention by the Holy Spirit of God and keep it before you day and night until you are able to live that scripture, doing those things instructed by that scripture.   Then take the next scripture that comes before you and do the same thing with that scripture.   Live that word of God.

(This podcast was previously published on March 12, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Romans 8:14   For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   When God reveals HIMSELF to us, HE gives us HIS Spirit, The Holy Spirit, to live inside us.   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   I Corinthians 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?   II Corinthians 13:5  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?   The work of the Holy Spirit who dwells in the children of God:   Jesus says:   John 14:26   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   I Corinthians 2   7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   This is the story of the working of the Holy Spirit of God in our lives as we live on this present earth, following God by HIS Spirit.   *****   Jesus says:   John 5:30  I can of Mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not Mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME.   Jesus always heard from God and did what God told HIM to do, and said what God told HIM, concerning those issues of this present life.   We have the Holy Spirit of God in us so we, like Jesus, hear from God and do and say that which we have heard from God.   *****   Examples on this Podcast:   *  Be baptized.   *  Tell your aunt about being taken into heaven.   *  Or you could just buy a new car.   *  Another storage building for your stuff?  Why don't you just get rid of the stuff?   *  My God will supply all your need.

(This podcast was previously published on February 26, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   God had Noah build an ark so he would not be destroyed with the wickedness of this world.   I believe we, too, build an ark based on that which God has told us to do so we will not be swept away in the end times.   When you look at my life, I think you can see that ark.   My job is to exhort the church and God gave me ways to do that in this period of time.  (Blog, Podcasts)   exhort:  to urge earnestly by advice and warning   So many of the recent messages have been on the fact that the things we can see with our natural eyes are very temporary.  (II Peter 3)   God will judge the world ... We are to judge the church.  (I Corinthians 5)   For us, live in peace.   Stay in your ark where you can live in peace.   Genesis 6   5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.   6 And it repented the LORD that HE had made man on the earth, and it grieved HIM at HIS heart.   7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth ME that I have made them.   8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.   11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.   12 And God looked upon the earth, and, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted HIS way upon the earth.   13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before ME; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.   14 Make thee an ark ... (God told Noah how to do this.)   22 Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.   Genesis 7:16   and the LORD shut him in. *****   Before Coronavirus hit in 2020, God moved me to Colorado where I live in the home of Pam Padgett.  I'm so glad not to have been alone during this time.   I'm also very glad not to have responsibility for physical property.   And I usually have plenty to do daily in keeping up the blog and Podcasts.   As long as I do my assignment, the time flies by.   I'm sure each of us are assigned things to do.   And if time does grow heavy, we can ask God to fill our day.  I often do that.   For me, I feel I could not stand being around people who live in various torments of this life.  I think I would end up going down with them.   The devil often tries to get me to reach out to them and "help them".  But I have a pretty strong view of my assignment from God.   Recently I received an email from a man who says he is a pastor and he wanted me to be his "mentor."   (I'm pretty sure this man is not of God for I know God is our "mentor" if Jesus has assigned us to work as HIS minister.)   This man wanted me to have weekly phone conferences with him in another country.  Then he wanted me to come to his country (in Africa)  and work with the other ministers.   (I've had several e-mails like this where men who say they are pastors want me to come to their country, at my own expense, and help them.)   I'm 83 years old.  I cannot travel.  (Actually I can't even walk without walker and then only very little.)  Sometimes I ride to dog park or grocery store with Pam but I never get out of the car.  And there are times even that short trip is difficult for me and I have to lie down and rest when I get back to my room.   But I am able to write and record for hours per day, usually without being tired.   (I know my assignment from God.  Other humans often want me to do their assignment.  But I stay with that which God has shown me I am to do.)   Each of us have to work out our lives so we eliminate those people and things which greatly torment us and set our paths to live in peace with the remaining time.   I Thessalonians 5:21  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.   Matthew 11:30  Jesus says:  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.   The yoke of other humans is hard! difficult! draining!  destructive!   James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.   ***   Also there are several people God has shown me I cannot be around for they "dump" their troubles on me, and thereby they would pull me down with them.   They will not do Philippians 4:6, though they say they are the church.   Philippians 4:6   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.   They say they are Christians but they do not show themselves to be believers.  They show themselves to be unbelievers, for they do not take their problems to God in prayer but they tell me their troubles.   II Corinthians 6   14  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?   15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?   16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.   17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,   18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

(This podcast was previously published on February 21, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Many ministers in today's churches glorify themselves by sharing what they think.  These are ministers of Satan as they seem to be "angels of light," deceiving churches.   Paul says: II Corinthians 11:13-15   For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.   Some years ago, I heard the Catholic pope say on TV news that he didn't see anything wrong with homosexuals.   I screamed out:  "What about the Bible."   Romans 1:26-27  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.   The scriptures glorify God, showing God's view of the situations.   The Catholic pope glorifies himself giving his views.   A divorced woman wanted to remarry.  She went to a pastor to see if she, being divorced, could remarry.  The pastor said, "My sister divorced and remarried.  I don't see anything wrong with this."   So this woman remarried after divorce.  Later she was born again and began reading the Bible and saw by the various scriptures that the divorced woman who remarries commits adultery.   The pope and the pastor lead people into damnation, failing to present the Word of God on the issue.  And they glorify their own selves by their own opinions.   Ministers of God glorify God by presenting the views spoken by God.   Galatians 1:8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.   10-12  For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.   But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.   Damnation to every minister who speaks his own opinions and fails to share the words of God on the matter at hand.   The Words of God are salvation to us who believe, and those Words glorify God when we speak them.   *****   In today's church, ministers of Jesus are called by Jesus from heaven.   The apostle Paul tells king Agrippa about his calling by Jesus from heaven to be a minister of Jesus.   Acts 26   Paul says:   12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,   13  At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.   14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   15  And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And HE said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.   16  But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;   17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,   18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in ME.   19  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:   Today, each minister of Jesus is called from heaven by Jesus, as was Paul, and put into the ministry offices by Jesus according to the will of God.  It is not by his own will that a minister to the New Testament church goes into the ministry.  It is by the call of the Spirit of Jesus.   Ephesians 4   8 Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.   11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;   12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:   14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;   15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into HIM in all things, which is the head, even Christ:   ***   But today many ministers are ministers of Satan.  They, by their own will, not by the call of Jesus, put themselves into the ministry.   II Corinthians 11   13  For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.   14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.   15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.   ***   Jesus says, concerning the last days:   Matthew 24:4-5 Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

(This podcast was previously published on February 25, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   People think it wise to pray for that "brother" who is committing fornication and to counsel him.   But the apostle Paul tells us the following concerning a man who is said to be a Christian and he is committing the sin of fornication (or sins of being covetous, an idolater, a railer,  a drunkard, or an extortioner)   I Corinthians 5   3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,   4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,   5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.   11  But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.   This may be the only hope such an one has after committing such a sin after he is born again and enlightened to the truth of that sin.   Peter says:  II Peter 2:20-22   For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.   21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.   22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.   But to the minds of fleshly humans in the churches, it seems so harsh and even unreasonable to put such an one out of the church.  It seems "nicer" to pray for him and counsel him.   But the apostle Paul in the Bible says put him away from you and to turn him over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.  (I Corinthians 5:5)   Few in churches will actually do what the Bible says.   I Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   *****   What the Bible says:   I Corinthians 5   1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.   2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.   3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,   4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,   5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.   6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?   7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:   8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.   9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:   10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.   11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.   * fornicator: to have sexual intercourse outside of marriage * covetous: having or showing a great desire to possess something belonging to someone else; desire for wealth or possessions or power * idolater: to worship a physical image, such as a statue or person in place of God; could be to worship a church or a pastor or other religious leader * railer: to express objections or criticisms in bitter, harsh, or abusive language * drunkard: a person who is habitually drunk; a person who is drunk or often gets drunk * extortioner: practice of obtaining benefit through coercion; plying money out of another person through use of scripture to make person feel guilty if he does not give or make him feel God will not bless him if he fails to give money at church   12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?   13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.   ***   Hebrews 10   24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:   25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,   27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.   28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:   29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?   30 For we know HIM that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge HIS people.   31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.   ***   Hebrews 6   4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,   5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,   6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put HIM to an open shame.   7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:   8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.   ***   Revelation 3:5   Jesus says:   He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.   ***   I Corinthians 6   9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,   10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.   Galatians 5   19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,   20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,   21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.   ***   II Peter 2   20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.   21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.   22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

(This podcast was previously published on March 4, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Jesus always heard from God and did the will of God.     Jesus said:  I can of MINE own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not MINE own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME.  (John 5:30)   That is what we do also as we hear that which the Holy Spirit speaks to us and walk in those directions as we live on this present earth.   For the Holy Spirit lives in each of the children of God, in the elect, the chosen of God, and HE shows them the will of God in the situations of this present life.   I Corinthians 3:16  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?   John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13   Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   We are connected to God by HIS Spirit who shows us the will of God in the situations of this life.   I Corinthians 2   9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

(This podcast was previously published on February 17, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   Unless the truth is revealed to us by God, we know nothing.   For centuries people in church groups have "speculated" about antichrist.  But only when God shows us something do we have truth that does not fail.   God began speaking to me about antichrist in 1982.  God used specific scriptures to teach me by HIS Holy Spirit.   II Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   God said to me:   "The falling away are not people leaving the church groups.  The falling away are the churches leaving specific scriptures ... and when that happens, antichrist moves into that church group."   * Antichrist is a spirit that operates inside the church group through ministers and congregations ...  so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   In the NASB, we see the following:   6-8  And you know what restrains him now, so that he will be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is removed. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will eliminate with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming;   (God had called the word "restraint" to my mind in approximately 2017.  I found this scripture in II Thessalonians 2:6  NASB.)   I said to God:  "What restrains him?"   The Holy Spirit said to me:  "The scriptures restrain antichrist and when portion of scriptures are removed, the door opens for antichrist to come into the church group."   I saw immediately:  Jesus is "The Word".  When Jesus, The Word, the holy scriptures are removed in part from the church group, the restraint holding antichrist back is removed and antichrist moves into that church group.   Antichrist tried to move into the churches during the day of the apostle John, but when that church held fast to doctrines of Christ, antichrist left that church group.   I John 2:18-19   Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.   (Not just one antichrist but many antichrists.)   19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.   The terrible fate for those persons in churches who cast aside portions of scripture:   II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.   11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:   12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.   *****   Antichrist was already sitting among the elders in the church at Ephesus when Paul warned them as follows:   Acts 20   17 And from Miletus he (Paul) sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.   18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,   19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:   20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,   21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.   22 And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:   23 Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.   24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.   25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.   26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.   27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.   28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with HIS own blood.   29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.   30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.   The following scripture also shows how concerned Paul was about false doctrines moving into the churches:   (Paul says to Timothy)   I Timothy 1:3   As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,   I Timothy 6:3   If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;   II Timothy 3:16  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:   Romans 16:17  Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.   They had no New Testament Bibles at the time Paul spoke to the church of Romans but Paul had personally taught them the doctrine of Christ and Paul is warning them to follow that doctrine which they had been taught by him and to avoid the people who went in an opposite way ... opposite to the doctrine of Christ is antichrist.   II Timothy 4:3   For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;   Titus 1:9  (Concerning those appointed as elders in the church)  Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.   (Antichrist was just waiting to rise up speaking perverse doctrines in those churches of Paul's day and he warned them to continue in the "sound doctrine" which he, Paul, had taught them.)   I Timothy 4:16  (Paul speaking to Timothy)    Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.   (Paul had taught them the doctrines of Christ which appear for us later in the New Testament Bible.)   II Timothy 4:2   Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.   Paul speaking to the church:   I Corinthians 4:17  For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.   (No New Testament Bibles at that time.)   Paul speaks concerning what they were to do when they gathered as the church:   I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.   I Timothy 4:6  If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.   (Timothy learned doctrine from Paul.)   II Timothy 2:2  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.   And the Holy Spirit teaches each of us and that doctrine will be in agreement with the doctrine which Paul learned from the Holy Spirit of God and taught to the church.   I John 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM.   ***   And Paul said to the church of the Galatians:   Galatians 1   6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:   7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.   (We see antichrist was already working among this church group to bring them another doctrine.)   8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.   9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.   10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.   11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.   12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

(This podcast was previously published on February 20, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...    In the years 1977 through 1982, I attended a church called, "Word of Faith."  Robert Tilton was the pastor.   Bob set about to be great.  He even said, from the pulpit, that he planned to be greater than Kenneth Copeland.   By his pursuit of greatness, Bob destroyed himself and was left with nothing.   I warned him as a prophet.  But he was overwhelmed with power, money, and fame and would not heed the warning.   Mark 8:36-37  For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?  Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?   This is that story.

(This podcast was previously published on February 15, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   I was in the faith movement churches from 1977 to 1982.  I loved it.  Faith is one of my favorite subjects.  But in 1979, God gave me a terrifying dream and by that God brought me out of that church group.  This is the story of that which God showed me about the Faith Movement.   I love scripture.  I love the Word of God by the Holy Spirit.  Nothing is more exciting to me and nothing is as valuable to me on this present earth as is following God by HIS Spirit.   In 1975, I was born again.  Immediately God began teaching me to meditate on scripture and to do those instructions of specific scriptures!   Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.   And God had taught me from the time I was born again to ask HIM for wisdom.   James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.   I was applying the above scripture to everything in my life ... and it worked greatly.   *  When I read the Bible, I prayed for wisdom before reading and God was faithful to teach me scriptures as I read.  (I even wrote: "Pray for wisdom", on each book of the Bible so I wouldn't forget to do this.)   *  I owned a small business in Dallas, and I was careful to pray for wisdom before I bought merchandise and in running the business and making decisions.  (In the 4 years that I had the business after becoming a Christian and after learning to pray for wisdom, every item I bought for the business sold, and I never had a sale price to rid myself of unwanted items, for everything sold.)   And God taught me the following scripture:   John 5:30  Jesus said:  I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.   I was quite sure that if Jesus, the Son of God, could do nothing without hearing from God, The Father, that I would not be able to do anything without hearing from God!  So I prayed for wisdom and prayed for God to stop me if I was going the wrong way.   I really thought that is what all Christians were doing.  I was wrong.   At one point, our Bible teacher at Word of Faith said to me, "You were never like the people at Word of Faith.  They talked about faith but you lived faith."   On this Podcast, I will share some of those things God taught me about the Faith Movement churches.   *****     The poison gas dream:  1979   I was asleep in the night when God gave me the following dream.   I went into a room where a man was speaking to a group of people.  I sat down and began to listen.   A second man rushed in and said, "Stop ... It's too late ... Can't you see? ... It's already begun."    He disappeared and the first man resumed speaking.   No one in the room showed any interest at all in seeing "what had already begun."   But I was interested, so I looked out the windows and was very shocked at that which I saw when I looked.   There was a tall pole with a yellow civil-defense type speaker on top of the pole.   Out of the speaker a poisonous gas was coming and it was coming directly toward those of us sitting in that room.  I knew it would kill us.   (The speaker that was supposed to warn us was being used to kill us.)   I looked at the man who was sitting next to me.  He had a big grin on his face and he was staring directly at the man speaking and he seemed to be paying attention.  But then I saw this man was a corpse.  He was already dead.   Then I looked at the other people sitting in the room.  They, too, were already dead.   And as I sat there among them, I began to feel drowsy and I knew the gas coming from the speaker was killing me also as I sat there.   I had no idea what this dream meant.   But in 1982, God showed me the meaning of this dream.   I went to church at Word of Faith on a Wednesday night.  Our pastor, Robert Tilton, was speaking.  I looked at the man who was sitting next to me and was very shocked to see this man was the dead man in the poison gas dream.  I looked around the room and the other people in the congregation seemed to be the people in that dream.   I got up immediately and went into the ladies room and began praying.  I said to God:  "I believe YOU are showing me to leave this church so I am going to get in my car and drive away.  But if YOU want me to come back to this church, I will."   God did not want me to come back to this church group and with that God began to show me problems with the Faith Movement.   ***   The problems:   * No one talked about the will of God.  We were supposed to find a scripture to "claim" over that which we wanted and quote that scripture and "believe" by faith in that scripture and we would get that which we believed.   One of the founders of the movement was a man named Kenneth Hagin.   He based his doctrines upon the following scripture:   Mark 11:22-24   22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.   23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.   24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.   The above scripture is of course correct.   ***   I wanted to marry.  I found the following scripture to "claim".  I wrote this scripture in the front of my Bible and every day I claimed that scripture for several years.    Isaiah 34:16   Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for MY mouth it hath commanded, and HIS spirit it hath gathered them.   The prayer group which I attended "agreed" with me and prayed for me to marry.   One woman in the prayer group said, "Of course it has to be the will of God for Joan to marry."  Then she went on to say, "But of course it is the will of God."   My best friend heard a word from God.  "MY grace is sufficient for her."   She told me.  I didn't want to hear that.   ***   Concerning the will of God when we pray:   I John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us:  And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.   ***   *  Another thing we were being taught in that Faith Movement church is that all good is from God and all bad is from the devil and that we had "authority" over the devil and could stop any harm that tried to come to our family or our property.   They taught us to "exercise our authority" as believers and stand against the devil.   The problems:   This assumes that we are capable of knowing what is "good".   The devil said to Eve:  And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.   People want to be "as gods", thus controlling their own lives without calling on God!   This is antichrist:   II Thessalonians 2:3-4  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.   The will of God in the matter at hand is not considered when you are "as gods."   Now, 40-years later, I am delighted to trust in God, knowing that God knows that which is best for me and God will show me what to do in this present life and choose for me!   (I really trust in God more than I do in myself!  I would hate to try to decide on my own what I should do.)   ***   Another major problem with the doctrine that all good is from God and all bad is from the devil:   We would consider an earthquake to be bad because it destroys property and kills people.   But here is what God showed me.   Matthew 17   50 Jesus, when HE had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.   51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;   52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept (were dead) arose,  53 And came out of the graves after HIS resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.   54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.   Because of the earthquake, the centurion and the men with him believed in Jesus.   ***   After God brought me out of the Faith Movement church in 1982, God showed me a significant point.  I was taught by God to pay attention to that which was brought to my mind by HIS Spirit, whether scripture or concepts.  Basically I was being taught by God to meditate on that WORD given to me by HIS Spirit and to follow the instructions of that Word.   I didn't realize what I was doing was different from what we were being taught in the Faith Movement.   Robert Tilton was pastor of Word of Faith which I attended between the years 1977 and 1982.   Bob was teaching the following concept:  "If you want a red pickup truck, then cut out a picture of that pickup and put it on your refrigerator door where you will see it several times a day.  In time you will figure a way to get that pickup."   (I never heard any one at Word of Faith mention seeking the will of God.  We were taught to take authority by scriptures over everything in this life and claim scripture.)   Also we were taught that we have authority over the devil and the devil could not touch us or our family or our property if we stood against the devil.   If you failed, you were taught you had weak faith.   During the time I was at Word of Faith church, a hurricane hit in the Houston area of Texas.  (I lived in Dallas.)  I wondered why some of those great men of faith, such as Robert Tilton and Kenneth Copeland, didn't take authority over the devil and stop the damage and death caused by that hurricane.   We were being taught "all good is from God and all bad is from devil."   Sometime during that period, I came across the following scripture in the Bible:   Isaiah 45:6-7   I am the LORD, and there is none else.  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.   ***   And in the Bible, through the coming years, I saw the following scriptures concerning "good and evil"  and that which God will do.   God says:   Psalm 18:13  The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave HIS voice; hail stones and coals of fire.   Psalm 148:8  Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling HIS word:   Isaiah 30:30   And the LORD shall cause HIS glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of HIS arm, with the indignation of HIS anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.   Ezekiel 13:13 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in MY fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in Mine anger, and great hailstones in My fury to consume it.   Ezekiel 38:22   And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.   Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.   (God does as HE wills.  We do not have control over the weather.  It is of God.)   Isaiah 45:6-7   I am the LORD, and there is none else.  I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.   Exodus 10:1  And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these MY signs before him:   Exodus 10:27   But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he (Pharaoh) would not let them go.   Exodus  11:10   And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.   II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; (This podcast was previously published on February 14, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   My best friend, after I was born again, was a woman who had been raised Baptist.  She married a man whose wife had died.  He was looking for a woman to date at their church group, with the intention of possible marriage.  He picked out two women to date.  And he chose Donna.   At first Donna didn't tell Hal that she was divorced.  Hal fell in love with Donna.   At some point before they married, Donna told Hal she was divorced.  Hal married Donna anyway.   After I met them, I asked Hal, "If you had known Donna was divorced, would you have dated her?"    Hal thought about this and then replied, "No ... I don't believe I would have."   In the days that Hal was a young man, the churches were still teaching that the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery, as Jesus says in the Bible.   Matthew 5:32  But I (Jesus) say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   I've been a born again Christian since 1975 and I've never heard Matthew 5:32 taught at any church that I have attended.   Both the Catholic and Protestant churches taught against divorce and remarriage, in most cases, in the 1940's, but this doctrine was changed in many of these churches in the future generations.   Edward, king of England, renounced the throne of England in order to marry a divorced woman in 1936.  The people in the church of England were being taught against marrying a divorced woman.  They would not permit a divorced woman to be queen of England at that time.  Now they have eliminated that scripture in their doctrine in England.   Once a man who identified himself as a pastor came to me to talk about his divorce and his desire to remarry.   I asked him if his wife, whom he divorced, was unfaithful.  He said no.  I told pastor the only scriptural reason for a man to divorce his wife was if she was unfaithful.  If the faithful wife remarries after her husband divorces her, she will commit adultery and the husband who divorced the faithful wife will be the "cause" of her adultery, and the man who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.  (according to Matthew 5:32)   A few weeks later, this pastor called me and asked me if there had been any change in doctrine concerning divorce and remarriage.   I said to this pastor, "So far as I know, the Bible has not been rewritten."   In the Bible, God's rules differ for men and for women.   In this Podcast, I will share these scriptures showing these differences.   The only thing that matters about this is what God says.   *****   Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.   * A faithful wife who is divorced commits adultery if she remarries while her husband lives.   * The husband who divorced a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.   * The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.   ***   I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.   I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.   ***   Mark 10   2 And the Pharisees came to HIM (to Jesus), and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.   3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?   4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.   5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.   6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.   7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;   8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.   9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.   10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.   11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.   12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.   *** Romans 7   1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?   2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.   3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.   (We do not go by the Law of Moses in the New Testament church, where animals were sacrificed for sins, but we do go by the laws of God as presented in the New Testament Bible.)   ***   I Corinthians 6  (at the time of sexual intercourse, the two become one flesh)   15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.   16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith HE, shall be one flesh.   17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.   18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.   (Even if you have sex with a prostitute, the two become one flesh.

(This podcast was previously published on January 31, 2021)   Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney  ...   To attribute the works of God and the Holy Spirit to being works of the devil would be blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.   Jesus said:  Matthew 12:31-32  All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.   And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.   As a new Christian in 1975, I went to the church my best friend and her husband attended.  The pastors of that church group were professors at Dallas Theological Seminary.   When I began attending this church, Believer's Chapel, the head pastor was teaching a seminar on the subject, "Tongues are of the devil."   One day, I was reading the Bible and saw the following:   The apostle Paul said, Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.   (1 Corinthians 14:39)   But at Believer's Chapel the pastor was teaching tongues to be of the devil.   The church I was attending at that time was teaching something exactly opposite to that which I was reading in the Bible!   I never went back to that church group.   I believe this pastor was committing blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.   A Baptist woman told me this story:  She went into her neighborhood grocery and saw a young man and she said to the grocer, "Who is that?"  He told her the name of the young man.  She said, "I'm going to marry him."  They did marry and they were married approximately 60-years until Jerry died.   I thought this was such a wonderful story and I said to my friend, "OH, that was a word of knowledge from God!"   My friend seemed frightened while I rejoiced.   I suspect she had been taught at her church group against the spiritual gifts of God.  (I Corinthians 12, Romans 12, I Peter 4:11)   Some churches teach against the gifts of the Holy Spirit.   On this podcast, I will give examples of some of the great works done in the church by the Holy Spirit and some of the blasphemy against God and the Holy Spirit as presented in the Bible.   *****   The gifts of the Holy Spirit:   I Corinthians 12   1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.   2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.   3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.   4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.   5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.   6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.   7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.   8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;   9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;   10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:   11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as HE (God) will. ***   Romans 12   5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.   6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;   7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;   8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.   ***   I Peter 4:11   If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.   ***   At the end of the great tribulation, we read this:   Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.   (I suspect this form of blasphemy was cursing God.)   ***   After the crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus set up the New Testament church from heaven by HIS Spirit.   We are born again by the Holy Spirit of God convincing us of our sin.   In 1975 the Holy Spirit spoke to me by bringing the following thought to my mind:  "Joan, you know those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."   I was born again with that Word!   ***   My neighbor told me he had hated his stepmother all his life.  One day he went out on his porch and all of a sudden all that hatred was gone.  It was a miracle!  He no longer hated her.  He said "something" told him all this hatred he had carried against her was no good.  (Holy Spirit)   ***   Jesus said:   John 14:16   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.   John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.   ***   And the Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to reveal to us the will of God in the specific issues of this life.   I Corinthians 2:9-14   But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.   10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.   11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.   12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.   13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.   14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.   ***   Jesus, from heaven, sets HIS ministers into the New Testament church:   Ephesians 4:11-12   After Jesus arose into heaven, HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:   Acts 26  Paul tells king Agrippa what happened to him on the road to Damascus:   I heard a voice (from heaven) speaking to me in the Hebrew tongue. 15 I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;   Jesus speaks today to those ministers whom HE has called by HIS Holy Spirit and instructs us by HIS Spirit.   ***   Jesus speaks directly to us today from heaven by HIS Spirit:   Hebrews 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;   In the Old Testament the people of God were not given the Holy Spirit of God and they had to go to a prophet of God to find out what God wanted them to do.   But in the New Testament church, all believers are given the Holy Spirit of God and that Spirit of God lives in each believer to show him the will of God by bringing scripture, thoughts, ideas to the mind of the believer.  (I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19; II Corinthians 13:5)   ***   We are born again by the Holy Spirit of Jesus when HE (Jesus) speaks to us from heaven:   John 3:3, 5-6  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.   4 Nicodemus saith unto HIM, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?   5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.   6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.   Acts 1:8  Jesus said:   But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.   ***   In 1975, the Holy Spirit spoke to me by bringing the following to my mind:  "Joan, you know all those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."   I was very shocked!   I thought I was a Christian.  I had gone forward at Church of Christ and had been baptized in water.  But at that time I didn't know of my sins.  I just didn't want to go to hell.   I was 37 when the Holy Spirit revealed sin to me and I certainly was in agreement, and I was born again by agreeing with the Holy Spirit and I was instantly changed.   II Corinthians 5:17   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.   My mother was born again when I read Deuteronomy 18:9-13 aloud to her.  She had always love horoscopes and we had gone to town monthly where my mother bought the latest horoscope magazine which she read to me daily when I was a child.   After I read Deuteronomy 18 to her, she was very quiet for a few minutes, then she said:  "Well ... I guess we'd better not do that any more."   She was born again instantly as she turned from evil and agreed with the Word of God.   (The Holy Spirit was there to convince her of her sin.)   The apostle Paul was born again as Jesus spoke to HIM from heaven.   Acts 9   1  And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,   2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.   3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:   4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME?   5 And HE said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.   The Holy Spirit speaks to us to reveal Jesus to us and we are born again by that Word delivered to us by Jesus's spirit. ***   Jesus sets HIS ministers into HIS church today as HE calls from heaven by HIS Holy Spirit to those ministers who are called as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers:   Acts 26, Paul speaks to king Agrippa:   20 Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself.   Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:   2  I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:   3 Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.   4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;   5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.   6 And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:   7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.   8 Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?   9 I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.   10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.   11 And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.   12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,   13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.   14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.   15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And HE said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.   16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;   17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,   18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in ME.   19  Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:    ***   Ephesians 4:11-13 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:   ***   The New Testament Bible is given by Jesus from heaven by the Holy Spirit after the crucifixion and resurrection:   And the New Testament Bible was given to the church from heaven as apostles were inspired by God to speak and write the books of the New Testament.   II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:   The early church had no New Testament Bible.  The apostles wrote on "parchments" and sent these letters to the churches in various cities and countries, and these epistles are in the New Testament Bible as the instructions from God came to them and they sent these "epistles" (letters) to be circulated among the various churches in their areas.   Colossians 4:16  And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.   So they passed these epistles, which we know today in the New Testament Bible, from church to church.   These writings were inspired by God by HIS Spirit just as God inspires us today to write the blog and to record the words presented on Podcasts.   ***   To deny the Spirit of God when HE speaks is death.   Jude   3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.   4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.   5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.   17  But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;   18 How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers/imitators) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.   19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
