This sermon wrestles with a tender question from Luke 20: will we still be with our spouses in heaven? Jesus' answer points beyond marriage to something even greater. Marriage is a good gift for this age, given for mutual joy and comfort in a world of sorrow. In the age to come, every need that marriage meets is fulfilled perfectly in the risen Jesus. We are first and foremost children of the resurrection. All good things find their proper place under Christ, who is our ultimate good and our lasting joy. Come be encouraged to love your spouse, your family, and your calling with gratitude, while centering your life on Jesus who is all in all.

Sometimes, God has to take something away to give us something better. Blinded That I Might See explores this powerful truth through the story of Paul's conversion in Acts 9. Saul was struck blind on the road to Damascus, but through his loss of sight, he gained a deeper spiritual vision and a new purpose. This inspiring message reminds us that God's plans often require surrender, transformation, and trust. When we let go, He replaces what we lose with something far greater. Perfect for faith-based reflection, devotionals, and Bible study. Building A Better Life, Starts With Building A Better You. Music composed by: MIKE OUTLAND MUSIC

Are you ready to break through your next ceiling? In this episode, Dan Sullivan and Kevin Dick reveal how boosting your energy, surrounding yourself with growth-minded people, and structuring your time unlocks new levels of success. Learn how resilience, community, and self-belief help entrepreneurs thrive—especially when the market gets tough. Here's some of what you'll learn in this episode:How The Strategic Coach® Program guides entrepreneurs to their next level of success. Why entrepreneurism is really an energy game. How your response to crisis changes once you've overcome one before. The unexpected benefits of being a Strategic Coach® member. How Kevin's entrepreneurial drive started early in life. Show Notes: Entrepreneurs hit ceilings when their environment isn't pushing them toward bigger goals. Raising your goals demands greater capability from your team, not just yourself. Breakthroughs are most likely during market crises, if you structure your time and attention to seize new opportunities. Independence only works if you build a truly great company around yourself. Entrepreneurial energy and resilience are shaped by who you surround yourself with every day. Being around ambitious, positive people makes growth contagious. You can reinvent yourself in times of adversity if you stay proactive and open to change. The first year at Strategic Coach is about personal growth; after that, it's about scaling your business practice. Introspection is an entrepreneur's secret weapon for overcoming major challenges and bouncing back from setbacks. Your brain is wired to pursue what you focus on—feed it bigger goals, not limitations. Self-belief matters more than anything, and it's a daily discipline, not something that happens by luck. Building a community with your clients creates trust, accountability, and lasting business success. Even setbacks, mistakes, and crisis moments are raw material for entrepreneurial growth and transformation. In this episode of This Life or Something Better, Priscilla invites you to pause and reflect on one powerful question: What truly matters most in your life? Through a heartfelt and deeply personal story about a loved one's journey with cognitive decline, Priscilla shares how easy it is to get caught up in the noise of “shoulds,” “have-tos,” and constant distraction, until life reminds us how precious each moment really is. In this episode of This Life or Something Better, Priscilla explores how our emotions shape the stories we live, and how to stop letting them run the show. From childhood monsters under the bed to adult fears about rejection, security, and identity, emotions are often misunderstood as enemies when they're really messengers. You'll learn how the cycle of event, meaning, belief, identity plays out in everyday life, why resisting emotions keeps you stuck, and how to “hug your monsters” instead of hiding from them. With practical steps like naming your emotions, reframing the meaning, and taking small, gentle actions forward, this episode gives you tools to detach from fear and reclaim your freedom. Reflection questions at the end will help you uncover your own hidden monsters and begin rewriting the story you tell yourself, one choice, one meaning, one belief at a time. Thanks for listening. We all want to live a happy life, so does God, but stuff is holding us back. Just like the Israelites in Exodus, he's taking us to a good place, but we must follow him in order to get there. Getting to a great place in life hinges on our willingness to deal with our issues.
Rabbi Stark talks about the opportunity which Rosh Hashanah offers.
We all know what it feels like to face risk - the racing thoughts, the “what ifs,” the temptation to stay safe. And we all know the thrill of reward when things finally work out. But what if the real reward isn't at the end of the journey, it's who you become in the process? In this episode of This Life or Something Better, Priscilla explores the neuroscience of risk and reward, including Steven Kotler's research on flow, the state where fear quiets, clarity sharpens, and transformation takes place. You'll hear Priscilla's own story of taking a big financial leap, plus everyday examples of career change, relationships, and personal growth that show how flow is available to all of us. By the end, you'll discover why risk is the bridge, flow is the process, and reward is your something better. Thanks for listening. Marriage is supposed to make us happy, right? I mean, that's what we've been sold: the perfect spouse, the fairytale wedding, the happily ever after. It sounds good, right? But what happens when life doesn't follow the script? When your spouse disappoints you, says things that kind of make you mad, or just doesn't complete you like rom-coms promise? Suddenly that belief that marriage is here to make us happy, it starts to feel less like a dream and more like a setup... a setup for bitterness, for disappointment, maybe even walking away. So today we are trading that lie for a truth that is harder, but it is better because what if marriage wasn't meant to complete you, but to grow you, to make you more like Christ? Join my husband and me as we chat with Ryan and Allie Lundeen @proverbsthirtyonegirl for an exclusive true confessions interview talking about how God confirmed “this is who you're gonna marry,” counter-cultural ideas of marriage, and personal stories we didn't even know we'd share.

We hear it all the time: "Our company is like a family." But according to Kidcaster co-founder Ryan Estes, that might be a huge mistake. While well-intentioned, the "family" model can create messy dynamics and pressure employees into a mold they don't fit. In our new episode, Estes makes a compelling case for a different approach: building an intentional professional community founded on mutual respect, clear boundaries, and shared values.
In Psalm 119:97-104, we read of how we are to love the word of God. In today's message, Pastor John encourages us to consider how we might think about the Bible, and why we should make the Bible a regular part of our lives.

What do you do when caring for your parent reopens every wound you thought had healed? In this episode of This Life or Something Better, we're diving into the complicated, emotional space where caregiving and old family roles collide. Are your habits rooted in alignment or just a reward for following the rules? In this episode of This Life or Something Better, Priscilla unpacks the hidden ways we sabotage consistency by turning healthy choices into conditional rewards. From “dessert comes after dinner” to “I earned this splurge,” we often rely on rules and incentives that disconnect us from our values. If your habits keep slipping, or it's hard to form new ones, this might be why. You'll learn why external motivation fades, how to rebuild patterns from identity instead of obligation, and what it means to move from earning your joy to choosing it freely. What if prayer wasn't about asking for something... but about remembering that you're already connected to everything you need?In this episode of Empowering Her, I'm opening up about something that's shaped the way I live, create, and lead: prayer—but not the kind we were taught to recite. Grace Bell, facilitator of The Work, assists people to identify and question their stressful ways of looking at life. She offers Year of Inquiry, a vibrant membership community of inquirers Sept-June each year. Learn more about Year of Inquiry at https://workwithgrace.com/year-of-inquiry Grace also has a special love for those suffering from eating issues including disordered eating (disordered thinking) of all kinds--having suffered from this behavior and thought/feeling process herself and finding an unshakable peace within around eating, food, health and behaviors with eating. Grace works with all kinds of compulsions, habits and addictions as they are all the same thing: a pull to some behavior, substance or activity in order to help us with our stressful feelings and thoughts. As Byron Katie offers us (founder of The Work); when we believe what we think, it creates unnecessary suffering. When we question what we think, we feel lighter and less serious about what is. We even begin to laugh. We notice who we really are is peaceful already, a human being living life as best we can--learning, growing, loving. In the public sessions on this youtube channel, we have all-group inquiry sessions called First Friday Inquiry, we have interviews with practitioners of The Work, we have Eating Peace videos (on the eating peace playlist) and we have individual sessions in The Work by courageous people willing to be recorded for Peace Talk podcast and this channel. Thanks to everyone involved in what is shared here on this channel, as it is great service to others in the world who find their way here and who are curious about life without "believing" thought all the time. In all-group sessions and solo sessions, we begin with a judgment...and move into the four questions and turnarounds. Willingness to be real and honest with your thinking is the first powerful step in The Work. No one ever has to share when attending Friday Inquiry, and thank you when you do. Do you ever notice living with the thought, “There's something better than this”? Something better than here, better than now, better than what I'm living… It can become like a white noise machine – on in the background until we forget what silence feels like or that it's even running at all. In this episode, we explore that silence in the form of being without this thought. And there are some pretty beautiful findings in the experience. One way we notice reacting when we believe there's something better than what we're living, is we see mistakes everywhere. We blame our past selves for actions that we believe resulted in us being in a place we don't want to be in now. But who would we be – even for a moment – without these concepts. How might we see our lives?
