*This week, our One Hope, The Gospel Changes Everything series may be a sensitive topic for some as we dive deep into sexual sin in Chapter 5 of Ephesians. This teaching is not intended for young children and we invite parents to decide for their families what is best for their kids, but we feel like it is an important message for our church. Have you ever felt like you're fighting the same fight again and again? Ben Phebus continues our One Hope, The Gospel Changes Everything series and reminds us that we aren't fighting alone. Jesus not only calls us to walk in the light, He gives us the power to leave old patterns behind. In Him, we find real strength, real change, and real victory, from even the most destructive sins.
The Gospel Changes Everything... from how we speak, to our relationships, to our life choices. Today, we continue our study in Ephesians, looking at how Ephesians 5 builds on the previous chapter's content and shows how we are to live in light of the Gospel. Join us! Understanding why Christians should evangelize and share the gospel with urgency. This message explores the biblical foundation for evangelism through Jesus' Great Commission and the powerful parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Discover why many Christians feel intimidated by sharing their faith and how to overcome those fears by understanding the eternal consequences at stake. Learn about the reality of heaven and hell from Jesus' own words, and why the gospel message is truly good news worth sharing. The parable reveals important truths about eternal destinations, the permanence of death's consequences, and the desperate desire of those in hell for others to be warned. Explore common misconceptions about salvation, including why good works and moral behavior aren't enough without faith in Jesus Christ. This biblical teaching emphasizes that evangelism is simply speaking while God does the transformative work in people's hearts. Perfect for Christians who want to grow in their understanding of sharing faith, overcoming evangelism anxiety, and recognizing the power of the gospel message. Topics covered include the Great Commission, eternal life, salvation through faith, biblical parables, heaven and hell, Christian witnessing, and practical steps for sharing faith with family and friends. Whether you're new to faith sharing or looking to renew your passion for evangelism, this message provides biblical motivation and practical encouragement for fulfilling the Great Commission in your daily life.
Because God's good news comes against the backdrop of bad news, we must read all the news. Genesis 3:15–24 (ESV): 15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” 16 To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you.” 17 And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,' cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; 18 thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” 20 The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. 21 And the LORD God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them. 22 Then the LORD God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—” 23 therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. 24 He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.

Because God has made a promise to defeat evil, we must live as people of hope. Genesis 3:15, 4:1 15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.” 4:1: Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.”
Romans is the Apostle Paul's fullest and clearest treatise on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Throughout history, this letter has opened eyes, awakened hearts, and set movements in motion. It's both profoundly theological and deeply personal, revealing the truth about God, humanity, and salvation. John Stott rightly called Romans a manifesto of freedom in Christ - a freedom that remakes our lives, forms us into God's people, and sends us as witnesses of Jesus in the world.

The gospel does not merely inform us—it transforms us. In Thessalonica, Paul saw the power of God's Word at work: sinners turned from idols to serve the living and true God, and a fledgling church became an example to all believers. In this passage we see the gospel's life-changing power (vv. 4–6), its outward testimony (vv. 7–8), and its forward-looking hope (vv. 9–10). True conversion brings a break with the old life, a witness that cannot be hidden, and a steadfast hope in Christ's return. The gospel changes everything because it brings us into union with Christ, makes us new creations, and redirects our lives toward God's glory.
The Gospel will affect every part of our lives.
Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. The Gospel changes everything. Can I get an amen?! In our day and age, what's happening in our country and culture makes things look very bleak. But there is truth that we as Christians believe...the Gospel changes people from the inside out. And when people are changed, communities change. When communities change, cities are changed; and when cities are changed, nations are changed. The power of the Gospel is salvation for all who put their trust in Jesus and Him alone. So if we want to change our country and our culture, we need to start with the Gospel. Its transforming power changes hurting, sinful hearts to joyful, peace-filled ones. Because when someone puts their trust in Jesus, He gives them the Holy Spirit who gifts them with these things. I don't know about you, but I want every person I can tell to know about the love of Jesus and the hope that's found only in Him. So let's get sharing! Visit our website at sharelife.today.
Some of you may know I was actually a teacher at graduate school seminary for five years. Then I said, “Get me back in the ministry,” where there is no grading papers and no one knows whether people are learning or not. But the gospel changes everything . . . even education. We're looking now at the what's, why's and how to's of education reform from a Christian perspective. To consider a gospel-centered view of education reform, 1) I'll share two thoughts from C.S. Lewis, and 2) I'll be joined by a panel of educators for a question-and-answer time. This talk and Q&A was given by Dr. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on November 5, 2024. Series: Redeemer InterArts Fellowship. Today's podcast is brought to you by Gospel in Life, the site for all sermons, books, study guides and resources from Timothy Keller and Redeemer Presbyterian Church. This week, we continue our series The Way of the Cross. In this passage from Luke, the risen Jesus appears to His disciples, offering peace, proving His resurrection, and commissioning them to be His witnesses. As He ascends into heaven, their fear is replaced with joy, worship, and a bold call to proclaim. Pastor AJ reminds us that: 1) A gospel life is filled with joy. 2) A gospel life is filled with worship. 3) A gospel life is filled with proclamation.
