Share Life Today, in stories from real-life encounters, challenges lay people to learn to share the Gospel every day in an ordinary conversation, to know how to ask great questions, and to testify to the life-changing truth of Jesus Christ.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. “Jesus said, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” These words from Jesus in John 14:6 share with us an important lesson as we move on past Christmas Day. Jesus is still the Christ even after Christmas. He offers a fulfilling and everlasting life to all who would put their trust in Him. That impacts every day of the year and every year of our lives until one day we go to be with Him in Heaven. And as we grow in our relationship with Jesus, He makes us “like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.” The gift of growing in our relationship with Jesus truly makes us have a wonderful and fulfilling life in every season. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. What an incredible day to celebrate—because at the center of it all is Jesus, God Himself, born as a tiny baby in Bethlehem. The moment I personally understood that Jesus came for me to be my Savior, everything shifted. My purpose, my future, my life—all transformed by the One who came to rescue me. And if you know Jesus as your Savior, then His coming has changed your life forever, too. And as we gather around the tree today and exchange gifts, we're really celebrating the greatest Gift ever given—eternal life through Christ. We worship the One who came to give us that gift in the first place. And just like the shepherds who heard the angels announce “a Savior has been born,” we can't help but tell others what we've seen and heard. Our changed lives are testimonies of God's grace. And today, as we dwell on this and celebrate Jesus' coming, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. Visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. “Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign; A virgin will conceive, and give birth to a Son, and will call Him Emmanuel, which means God with us." This prophecy from Isaiah 7 came hundreds of years before Jesus stepped foot on earth. God promised that He Himself would come to be with us. And the truth is, if Jesus never had come, we would still be dead in our sins. We would have no way to come before an all-holy God and expect to get into heaven. The Bible says clearly, "For the wages of sin is death..." But praise be to God, He had a plan. He loved us so much that He humbled Himself, took on flesh, and dwelt among us. Emmanuel. Who lived the perfect life that we couldn't, took our sins upon Himself, and died with them on the cross. Now, He offers the free gift of eternal life to anyone who puts their trust in Him. Learn how you can share this with others at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. “Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing over the plain. And the mountains in reply, echoing their joyous strains." Whenever I hear this song, I can't help but picture what it was like when it happened all those years ago at Jesus' birth. I live in North Carolina, and we're surrounded by mountains. When you see how majestic and grand they are, it's hard to imagine a song so loud and sung by so many beings that it literally echoes from the mountains—probably surpassing our loudest concerts and football games. It makes sense why the shepherds literally shook in fear when they saw this scene and heard, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace - good will toward men." This worship followed the pronouncement of the Savior's birth. They wanted the world to know the Savior was born. So let's follow the angels' example and not hold back in sharing the Good News of salvation through Jesus! Learn how at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. “I am the Lord's servant,” Mary answered. “May your words to me be fulfilled.” In the first chapter of Luke, we read the story of Mary who was told by the angel Gabriel that she would conceive and give birth to a son named Jesus—even though she was a virgin. I can't even imagine what the teenage Mary must have felt or thought about this. When Gabriel first appeared to her, the Bible recounts that she was greatly troubled. But after hearing what the angel said, Mary very humbly—and in great faith!—replies that she is willing to serve God and trust His plan wholeheartedly. Let's learn from Mary that we too can walk in faith despite our circumstances. Because when we step out to do the hard things for God, like sharing our faith, God's perfect plan is furthered. We have resources to help you tell others the Gospel like our program, The Christ of Christmas, that shares about Jesus and salvation. Visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Can you believe it's almost here? Christmas is coming! And while the Christmas season may be flying by at lightning speed for you, there is always so much anticipation around this time of year. Can you imagine the anticipation before the first Christmas? The whole world was waiting, all of Heaven was leaning in, anticipating the moment God would become man and make a way for us to be reconciled to Him. And with a baby's first cry, it was finally here! The first Christmas and the greatest gift the world would ever be given. You know, all too often, we anticipate the Christmas season, but we don't focus on the first Christmas. As you go through the next few days, make Christmas holy in your heart. Choose to think about the first Christmas and the greatest gift of all. And to celebrate what Christ has done, share the gift of the Gospel. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. If we follow the King, we must follow His example. Our life is an offering to Him! There were Magi from the East who were looking at the sky and waiting generation after generation for a prophesied star. And the night they saw it, they set out to find the true King—the Messiah. And after years of journeying, they found a boy named Jesus—God in the flesh—dwelling here on earth among the people that He came to save. These kings bowed down and worshipped Him; they laid their offerings at His feet. And in the same way, we must be willing give our time, our comforts, our talents, and our gifts as an offering to Jesus. And just as He humbly came to share the Good News of eternal life through His death on the cross and resurrection three days later, so we too must share as He did. So who can you humbly and lovingly share your faith with today? For more on how to get started, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Something I have been pondering lately is the matchless, never-ending, wonderful love of God. As we celebrate this season of Jesus' birth, I'm reminded that the God who created the universe—and us!—gave up His glorious throne to step into this world as a man. Now don't get me wrong—Jesus is God. He's always been one hundred percent so. At the same time, He came to earth, born as a baby… He is also one hundred percent man. This is known as the hypostatic union. And when He was born, His glory was veiled. It must have been quite difficult for Him to humbly take on flesh, but Jesus did it out of His great love for us, and His desire for God's glory. He chose the road to the cross because He knew His perfect life must be the sacrifice for our imperfect ones. He came to live beside us and share how we can have eternal life. For more, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 8:9, "...though [Jesus] was rich, yet for our sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich." The wealth Paul is talking about in this passage…it isn't your finances—he's talking about the gift of eternal life. When Jesus came to this earth humbly as a baby, He traded the wealth of Heaven for the poverty of this world. But He did it so that we might become rich and have the opportunity to accept the free gift of eternal life. So this Christmas season, give the best gift of all by sharing with your friends and family Jesus. Share that Jesus came to take our poverty and adopt us as children of God. He became "obedient unto death, even death on a cross" to give us abundant and everlasting life through Him. And in response, we gratefully praise Him and share this Good News with others! Need help? Visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. On one starry night, long ago, a baby was born in a manger. The angels in the Bible describe this infant to the cowering shepherds as their "Savior... Christ the Lord!" Now, I imagine these Jewish men did not expect the King of kings and the Lord of lords—their Messiah!—to come as a baby. But when they went to see Jesus, lying in a manger, the Word of God says that right after they met Him, they went and told everyone what they had seen. And that is precisely what should happen when you meet our humble Savior, who came to rescue us from our sins. You worship Him, and then go tell others about Him. Let's share the Gospel of hope that Jesus came from heaven to earth, lived an absolutely perfect life, and died on the cross so that we may have eternal life if we put our faith in Him and Him alone. For more on sharing your faith with others, visit our website at sharelife.today. That's sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. "...for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Those words are some of the most monumental that have ever been uttered on this earth — and that's not even because an angel said them! What an amazing, miraculous thing — that the God who created the world and everything in it came to this earth as a baby. And He came for a purpose. He is our Savior, Christ the Lord. You see, we are all dead in our trespasses—this has been apparent since sin came into the world through Adam and Eve. And we have anxiously waited for the Messiah ever since. Well, He came, He lived the perfect life that we couldn't, He died on the cross for our sins as a sacrifice, and then He rose again from the dead—defeated sin and death! And now He offers the free gift of eternal life to all who believe. We can have a personal relationship with Him! For more on our Savior, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. "Hark! the herald angels sing, 'Glory to the newborn King: peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!" Charles Wesley penned these beautiful words to music that Mendelssohn wrote; and even now — hundreds of years later — you can still hear this song in the mall as you shop for Christmas. Did you know that many of our classic Christmas songs declare the Good News of what Jesus has done? God has given us a way to be reconciled with Him through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We celebrate this season Jesus coming as a baby born to a virgin. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross for our sins. The Bible says in Isaiah that "He was pierced for our transgressions/crushed for our iniquities." He brought peace to a people drowning in their wrongdoings and separated from God. Jesus offers the free gift of eternal life to all who would believe and place their trust in Him. For more, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. "The cold within him froze his features, nipped his pointed nose, shriveled his cheek, stiffened his gait..." Those are the words Charles Dickens used to describe his well-known character, Ebenezer Scrooge. Scrooge was known for despising all things about Christmas, especially helping the poor and the needy. He would shout, "Bah, humbug!" at anything kind and good. When we hear about people like him, you know it's easy for us to say, "Well, I'm not like that, so I guess I'm a pretty good person!" Compared to Scrooge...yes, you may be! But compared to the standard God has set in Matthew 5 where He says, "Be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect"...well, you know we all fall short of that. The truth is, all of us have sinned. But there is good news! Jesus came and took the punishment for us. And for all those who believe in Him, God substitutes Christ's perfect life for our sin-filled one. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Have you ever put your hope in another person? Well, if that person is trustworthy, it's fine! But here's the problem with placing your hope in other people: sometimes, they let you down. But I am here to tell you that placing your hope in Jesus will never result in you being let down. Even though He is God, He gave up His heavenly glory to join us here on earth as a baby, which we celebrate at Christmas! Jesus lived an absolutely perfect life and sacrificed Himself on the cross as a substitute for our sins. And because He rose again from the grave, He has the power and authority to offer eternal life as an absolutely free gift to us. And now, our hope for Heaven can be certain because Jesus is faithful! He promised us in Genesis a way of salvation, and He was faithful to do exactly what He said He would do. If you don't have this eternal hope yet, well friend, look to Jesus. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. What can you be completely certain about this Christmas-time? Well, you can be sure that the days will get shorter as the time the sun is up decreases. You can be sure that you'll begin to see decorations as companies and communities prepare for the season. And you can be absolutely certain that you cannot get into Heaven because of the good things that you've done. Now, before you write that off as a calloused statement or simply an opinion, consider what the Bible says. The Bible tells us that no one is good, not even one. It also tells us to be perfect, just as your Father in Heaven is perfect. It is a real problem for us if no one is good, yet you're expected to be perfect. However, this problem is solved by the Person of Jesus Christ who was both God and Man - perfect, just and full of grace. You can be certain that placing your faith in Jesus is enough for eternal life with God. Have you accepted that grace? Find out more at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Are you excited for the Christmas season? Or are these days a little harder for you? Many people find that the time leading up to Christmas can be challenging and the joy can be lacking—especially after experiencing a big loss in their life. It may make this season not be so merry and bright. But can I encourage you with something from God's Word? In his prophecy about Christ's coming to earth, Isaiah wrote in chapter nine, "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. [...] For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given." This child was none other than Christ the Lord, Who is our Prince of Peace and has promised to carry our burdens. And I myself have experienced this joy and peace that passes all understanding that can only come from Him. And we have the privilege to share this with those that are hurting around us. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. "Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn't she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?" This is how Jesus began an important parable in Luke chapter fifteen about a woman who searched for a coin with great care. After she found it, she called her neighbors and friends over to rejoice with her. Did you know that over every sinner who repents and believes there is also rejoicing in Heaven? Just as the angels sang with great joy over Christ's birth, they also celebrate over us making that decision. In this season of Christmas, we celebrate the One who makes this possible. The Bible says, "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” As His children, we have the privilege of being a part of His saving grace! We get to tell others what He's done. Let me encourage you this Christmas time to step out and share this Good News. For ways to do it, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. "...When the shepherds had seen Him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them." At just the right time, Jesus came to this earth, humbly and quietly as a child. All of Heaven had been anticipating this moment and like wildfire, the news spread across the country because the shepherds told everyone who would listen about the child. Everyone who heard the news was amazed! Have you ever thought, though, “What if the shepherds had kept quiet?” Well, our world would certainly look different. If they had kept the news of the Messiah coming to earth to themselves, they would have missed out on so much. Now here's the question for you and me…what if we remain silent? Let's spread Good News of great joy this Christmastime to all who will hear. And if you need help in getting started, we have resources and tips for you at our website at sharelife.today. That's sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. What's your favorite thing about the Christmas season? Many people love the cheerful music, the sweet treats, and holiday gatherings with family and friends. And whether this year has been a difficult or wonderful one for you, the joy remains the same if you know Jesus. Why is that? Because no matter what this season brings for you, Jesus is the reason you can have great joy! Spend some time over the course of the next week focusing on the joy of the season - on the joy of the Gospel! And do you know what? If you'll do that, others will see your joy and will want it, too! Choosing joy at all times — especially in a difficult year — can open up many opportunities to share how Jesus has made all the difference in your life for eternity. You can be the one to bring tidings of great joy to them. If you need help learning how to start a Gospel conversation, you can find out how by visiting our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. The gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ. Do you remember the angels saying to the shepherds: “I bring you good news of great JOY?!” Well, people need that Good News. While the traditional practice of exchanging gifts is in full swing, remember to share about the greatest gift ever given — eternal life through Jesus Christ. It's not something that we can earn and it's certainly not something that we deserve it because we are all sinners and our sin separates us from an all Holy God. But the Good News is that God solved our problem by sending His Son to die on the cross to pay for our sins and purchase a place for us in Heaven. This gift is received by faith. If you haven't received this gift, don't let another Christmas go by. And if you've already received this gift, share it with someone else. We have resources to help you do that like our program, The Christ of Christmas. Visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. So Thanksgiving is now over, and we move on to a new season...but did you know that our gratitude should continue? You can know from even a simple search online how being thankful each day can benefit us both mentally and physically. But that's not what I'm talking about. As Christians, we're thankful each and every day because God doesn't change. Whether it's Thanksgiving where we're focused on being grateful for how He has provided for us or the week after where we go back to our "normal" way of life, we should be grateful. Because you know what? God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow—and His love for us continues each new day. And we can share our gratitude with others by telling them what Jesus has done for them on the cross! So let's make it a priority to be thankful each and every day. For more resources to help you in sharing your faith with your friends, family, relatives, and neighbors, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Happy Thanksgiving! Have you heard the history behind this celebrated day? Well, in the fall of 1621, when their labors were rewarded with a bountiful harvest of food—and this is after a year of sickness and scarcity!—the Pilgrims gave thanks to God. And in seventeen eighty-nine, our first president, George Washington, established Thanksgiving as a national holiday, and it was celebrated for the first time under this new Constitution. Two hundred and thirty years later, we too have many reasons to be grateful to God as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day today. I know I am thankful for His grace and mercy. And even though I'm a sinner, He died to take my sins away. And now I have a fulfilling life through my relationship with Jesus. So let's be praying and looking for opportunities to share the true meaning of Thanksgiving and our gratitude for Jesus. For help in getting started, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. When you woke up this morning, did you thank God? You know, we as Christians don't thank God enough, do we? As Christians, we're of course thankful for the life God has given us, but we probably take a lot for granted. It's easy to get into a routine and go through the motions without thinking, "hey! God gave me this day, this life!" Prayer and thankfulness are incredibly important in our Christian walk. Let's be more intentional to tell God how thankful we are for who He is and what He has done! I have a challenge for you. Every day this week, before you get out of bed in the morning, take a couple minutes to just thank God. First, thank Him for who He is. Thank Him for His grace and love and for giving you eternal life. Focus on how good He is at the start of everyday and watch how that will change your outlook — and your life! For more on thankfulness and how you can use that to share your faith, visit our website at sharelife.today. That's sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Faith and thanksgiving go hand-in-hand. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for families to remember the many blessings that God has bestowed upon all of us, especially God's grace through Jesus Christ. This special holiday provides natural opportunities to share the Gospel. Here's a few ideas as you prepare for the holiday: first, invite family members to a Thanksgiving service at your church. Or when you ask others what they're most thankful for, share how you're thankful for your relationship with God. This would be a perfect opportunity for you to share your testimony of how He has impacted your life. If you dine out for Thanksgiving, ask your server how you can pray for them before saying grace over your meal. Then you could leave a Gospel tract with your tip. Use Thanksgiving as a natural way to share the Good News. Along with enjoying pumpkin pie, you can help others “taste and see that the Lord is good.” Need help? Visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. In a year full of twists and turns with uncertainty abounding, I am so thankful for the certain hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Are you thankful for that, too? Instead of focusing on what's gone wrong and how many things have changed, fix your eyes on Jesus, who never changes. Hear this reminder from Philippians 4:6-7: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Did you hear that? In EVERY situation, yes even right now, we can be thankful and Jesus will give you the peace you need. So, as we go into the holiday season, be thankful in all the circumstances that you've been given the free gift of eternal life by accepting Jesus Christ. And out of gratitude, pray for an opportunity to share the Gospel with another! For more tips and resources on how you can share your faith, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. All throughout Scripture, God calls us to pray for others. James 5:16 says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” And in Ephesians 6, Paul urges believers to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions... with all kinds of prayers and requests.” When we pray for others, we're partnering with God in His redemptive work. We lift up their needs, their struggles, and most importantly, their salvation. God hears our prayers and answers them — softening hearts, changing circumstances, and opening doors for the Gospel. So this week, make time to pray intentionally for someone who doesn't yet know Jesus. Ask God to reveal His love to them in a personal way—and to give you the courage to share it. Because when we pray, God hears us and moves. And then, we get to see - and be a part of! - what God does in their lives transforming them. For help, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. How often do you pray for, by name, your loved ones who don't know Christ? Every summer, Steve travels from North Carolina to Alaska with a mission to bring people to Jesus Christ! He's taken the time to be trained to share his faith through EE and on his very first trip, Ricky stuck out. Steve would try to talk with him about Jesus, but he just didn't want to hear it. Steve was faithful, though! He prayed for Ricky. Steve kept asking God to show him opportunities to love him. Every time Steve saw Ricky, he'd say, “I'm counting on spending eternity with you.” On Steve's eighth trip, he led Ricky's wife, Tracy to Jesus. He was prompted to call Tracy later, and when Ricky answered, Steve went through the Gospel again, and Ricky accepted Christ! These salvations are a result of fervent prayer and a heart that's open to be used by the Lord! Who do you need to pray for? For resources, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Are you taking time each day to pray? Now, I'm not talking about before meal times or at a church service. I mean how much do you intentionally take time to pray? The Bible is full of verses urging us to pray – to pray without ceasing, at all times, for every need! You know, most Christians say they rely on prayer in their daily lives, about 63 percent, according to Pew Research. Truthfully, that's not enough! Each person who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ should rely heavily on prayer – just as Jesus did! Scriptures tells us He often took time away from His disciples to pray. In John 17:20, Jesus prays, “I do not pray for these alone, but also for all those who will believe in Me through their word.” Did you catch that? Jesus prayed for you! So let's thank God for the access we've been given by Jesus to the Father in prayer! For resources on prayer, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Is this the most wonderful time of the year or does the holiday season produce anxiety for you? I know that November and December can bring both feelings of wonder and hope as well as dread. Oftentimes, family gatherings can cause stress. But you know what? We have a joy greater than any season of life! We have the Living Savior who draws us near to Him, if only we'll come! Think about eternity – is there a family member you'll see that needs Jesus? Let them see your joy and pray fervently for this person before you see them this year. Ask God for an opportunity to share what Thanksgiving and Christmas are really all about – thanking Him for His grace. The Holy Spirit is in the business of saving people, so just make yourself available! Don't be scared to share the love of Jesus – cast your anxiety on Him because He cares for you! Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. The Bible tells us, we don't have because we don't ask. So, today, I'd like to pose a challenge. Let's find out what God will do when we ask Him to intervene and draw people you and I know and love to faith in Jesus Christ. This week, we're focused on praying for those in our circles of influence over the holidays. The challenge is this: write down the names of ten people you know who need Jesus. Whoever they are – family members, friends, colleagues at work, neighbors – I urge you to write their name down and then begin to pray regularly for them. If you're already doing this, wonderful. But too often you and I pray in general. We ask God to reach the unsaved millions across the world. And while that's important, my challenge for you today is to be intentional and specific with God, and then watch what He will do! For resources to help you share your faith, visit our website at share life dot today. That's sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. According to a popular survey last year, 83% of Americans celebrate Christmas. That's really amazing when you think about it! And even more shocking: many of the people celebrating Christmas don't know the Savior who it's about. This gives us an incredible opportunity amidst all the Christmas songs, shopping, parties, and festivities to tell those around us about the true meaning of Christmas—that in the city of David, a Savior was born, which is Christ the Lord. When we talk about Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection, we're giving them an opportunity to respond to what Jesus has done for them. So let's share the Gospel and ask our friends and family if they want to accept the greatest gift that was ever given—forgiveness through trusting in Christ alone. It can be as easy as asking them if they know what Christmas is really all about! For help getting started, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. What do you think is the best gift ever? Well today, I want to share with you an opportunity we should not miss this holiday season as we prepare gifts for our family and friends—and that is the sharing about the life-changing, wonderful love of God. The Gospel is literally the best news ever! Having a relationship with Jesus brings us joy, peace, and a fulfilling life. So as you pick gifts to give, let me encourage you to add a card. And inside, share a verse, like Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." And then write a note about how God has changed your life. Say, "If you'd like to hear more, I'd love to share with you about how having a relationship with God has impacted my life!" And then end wishing them blessings and love. Let's be intentional over the holidays to give the best gift ever. For more, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. As the holiday season rolls around, it can be daunting to think about hosting your family and friends. There're invitations to go out, food to be prepared, the energy that gets expended through all the planning...and perhaps there's even worries about the disagreements that can happen when people of different views come together. But if we are to follow the example of our Lord and Savior, Jesus, this shouldn't discourage us. Jesus throughout all the Gospels was recorded sitting down with sinners and tax collectors and spending time with the outcast and the poor. Jesus is the epitome of a servant leader and friend of sinners. And as the holidays get closer, this is our opportunity to demonstrate God's love through hospitality and sharing the greatest news that will change lives for all eternity—the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. The holiday season is here—the time for gratitude, joy, and connection. As we gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas, it's also a time when hearts are softer and conversations go deeper. This is the season to share. God's Word tells us in Second Corinthians six two (6:2), “Today is the day of salvation.” People all around us are searching for peace and meaning, and the message of Jesus—the One who came to bring hope to the world through His death on the cross and resurrection from the dead—is exactly what they need to hear. So this holiday season, look for those God-given moments to speak about His love. Share how Jesus has changed your life and invite others to experience that same joy. Because there's no better time than now—the season of gratitude and grace—to share the Good News of the Gospel. For resources, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Rev. Shah Ahmadi with Iran Alive Ministry has seen persecution firsthand—but he's also seen God's unstoppable power. “Iran is against Christianity. This person is jail this year. So they are right now is really, you know, backing up because the, the number, this is exactly what we were talking about yesterday about power multiplication and be multiply. Even they touch us. They can't touch the generation. It's too late.” That's the truth of the Gospel—Governments can try to put it out, but they can't stop the Holy Spirit. When one believer is silenced, ten more rise to speak. So let's take courage from our brothers and sisters in persecuted places. The Gospel is being shared in every corner of the world, and it can't be stopped. So let's join God in what He is doing in taking the Gospel to the nations, and share it with those around us. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Rev. Shah Ahmadi with Iran Alive Ministry shares one unforgettable moment when the Gospel reached someone completely unexpected. “And I found out secret police is listening. It was too late, and I couldn't do anything. And I said, okay, sister, do one thing for me. I dunno what's gonna happen to you, but maybe this person is listening to, maybe this is God plan for him to listen. Let us to share Gospel. And I start weeping and crying. He's just, just the love of God came. I said, ‘Look, I don't know why you came on the, you know this, you know, God loves you. If you die, do you know where you're gonna go?'” Even when danger was close, Rev. Ahmadi chose faith over fear—and trusted that God could reach even the persecutor. That's the courage God calls us to have—to love boldly and to share the Gospel, even when it costs something. To watch the full interview with Rev. Shah Ahmadi, visit our website sharelife.today. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Rev. Shah Ahmadi with Iran Alive Ministry knows what it means to follow Jesus in difficult places. “Seems in the history opposite the places more persecution, God works, grows stronger. Seems persecution is a key. We see in the book of Acts. We see in China, we see in Iran, we see in Nepal, we see there…not just God Himself intervene. God works in a way supernaturally. And people, they lay down their life.” When the world tries to silence the Church, God makes it speak louder. In persecution, the Gospel doesn't weaken. Believers who stand firm in their faith they know to be absolutely true inspire others to follow Jesus, no matter the cost. So whatever opposition you face today, remember—God's work can't be stopped. Let's join Him in what He is doing and stand for Jesus and share the Gospel. To watch the full interview with Rev. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Rev. Shah Ahmadi with Iran Alive Ministry reminds us that the Church of Jesus Christ is one family—united around the world in the mission of sharing the Gospel. “Share the Gospel and pray and just go and say, you are my brother. You are my sister. We are from same nation. But above from that, even when I'm not from same nation, we are children of God. We are saved by grace of God. Jesus died on the cross for us. Let's do together.” That's what the body of Christ looks like—believers standing shoulder to shoulder across nations and languages, proclaiming the same Good News. Some face challenges and danger, yet they continue to share because they know that every person needs to hear what Jesus has done. We are one Church with one message and one mission: that the whole world might hear and know the saving grace of Jesus Christ. To watch the full interview with the Rev. Shah Ahmadi, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Rev. Shah Ahmadi with Iran Alive Ministry knows what it means to keep sharing Jesus—even when it's hard. “That's why I encourage many people: sow a seed of the Gospel. Don't give up. It's not about me and you; it's about the power of the Gospel. And that is God's work, not our works.” The results don't depend on us. Our job is to tell others about Jesus—and trust God to bring the harvest. Even in the toughest places on earth, like Iran, the power of the Gospel is transforming lives. Maybe there's someone in your life that seems closed off or uninterested. Keep praying, keep loving, and keep sharing. Because our efforts to share the Gospel and what Jesus has done for us on the cross is never a failure. Every Gospel conversation can be used for His glory and in the life of the person that you're sharing with. For resources and to watch the full interview with Rev. Shah Ahmadi, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Do your Halloween plans this evening involve the Gospel? As believers, we should try to do everything that we can to point people to the Gospel. Last year, my church held a big event on Halloween with more candy than you could count! It was open to the community so there was a huge crowd. The focus, however, was not on candy, though every child left with more than they could eat. The focus was the Gospel. Every child and parent heard a clear Gospel presentation and an invitation to accept Christ as Lord and Savior...all before they got to the candy and to the carnival attractions! And while your event may be different, the message can be the same. Be thinking about how you can share the hope you have tonight. Perhaps it starts with candy and leads to a Gospel conversation or perhaps an opportunity to share your testimony. Whatever it is, let your light shine! For more, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. You know, we often say at Evangelism Explosion that witnessing without prayer is presumption. Before we ever start looking for opportunities to share the Gospel, we should be coming before God, asking for His guidance and wisdom. Jesus Himself told us in John 15, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." Elisabeth Elliot said, "Prayer lays hold of God's plan and becomes the link between his will and its accomplishment on earth." And you know what the Bible says is part of God's will for our lives? It's that we would be bold witnesses and share with others what Christ has done for them. So let me challenge you: start praying for your friends and family that you'll see over the holidays and watch God orchestrate ways you can start spiritual conversations and then share the Gospel with them. For more tips and resources on how you can share your faith, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. It's that time of the year again! Many events are happening this week in communities across the country. Whether it's a trunk-or-treat, a Fall Festival, a pumpkin patch, or trick-or-treating, I want to encourage you — look for opportunities to share the love of Christ. The Gospel is always needed, no matter the time of year, holiday, or circumstance. We need to be intentional as Christians and share what Jesus has done with those around us. If you're attending a party, seek out meaningful conversations that could lead to sharing how Christ has changed your life and given you eternal security. If you're giving out candy, consider handing out some Gospel tracts, too. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you opportunities to share; and when they come, talk about the hope you've found in Christ. Our world desperately needs it. Not sure where to start? Well, we'd love to help! For more Gospel tips and resources to help you share during this season, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Are you afraid of the dark? Well, during this time of year, there is a lot of emphasis on the spooky and dark side of things. But don't be scared of it! Instead, shine the light of Jesus on the darkness in our world. Now, how do you spread some light? First, we need to know God's Word. Psalm 119 and verse 105 says: “Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path...” So don't dwell on the darkness! Walk with your path illuminated by God's Word and take every chance you can to spread His Word to others, especially in times like we're in right now. Here's a tip: this Halloween, light up someone's night by sharing a Bible verse that God has laid on your heart. Ask them engaging spiritual questions that could lead to a Gospel conversation. If you need help getting started learning how you can be ready to share your faith, visit our website at sharelife.today. That's sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Candy, ghosts, goblins and... the Gospel? How are these things related? Well, they're not, BUT we are coming up on Halloween, and that means we are surrounded by all things black and orange and full of sugar. How should Christians choose to respond to this holiday? It's really a controversial topic and while you should always listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and pay attention to the convictions He places on your heart, every believer ought to be able to agree that we are here to bring the light of Jesus into the darkness. One of the ways you can do that this week is by taking advantage of the holiday. Take advantage of the fact that friends are getting together or your neighbors are out and about more. Use the opportunities you are given this week to bring up the hope you have found in Jesus! If you need help learning how to do that, visit sharelife.today. That's sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Roger Lonnquist, founder of the New Life Africa Satellite Network that broadcasts Share Life Africa to 53 radio stations in 15 countries, has a deep passion for reaching people with the message of Jesus. He said, “There is an immense hunger in Africa for the Gospel… and we need to present the Gospel so they can hear it, present teaching so they can grow, and go forward in their faith.” That same hunger exists all over the world — people searching for truth, for hope, for a Savior. And God has called each of us to be part of meeting that need. When we share the Gospel, God uses it to change lives. The Holy Spirit knocks on the door of their hearts and invites them to be transformed through trusting in what Jesus did on the cross for them. Let's not keep this hope to ourselves — let's take it to a world that's desperate to hear it. To watch the full interview with Roger Lonnquist, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Brad and Doug Hutchcraft have a heart for discipling young believers, especially among indigenous communities. Brad shared, “And so to see some of those that we work with saying, ‘I wanna reach my people, but I also want to not just be the mission field. I want to be part of the mission force. Because I've got hope to share.'” That's the power of discipleship. When people encounter Jesus, He not only saves them—He sends them. Around the world, indigenous young people are taking the Gospel back to their tribes, their towns, and even across nations. They're showing what it looks like to turn from being the mission field into being the mission force. And that's exactly what Jesus called us to do: to make disciples who make disciples. The next generation of Gospel-bearers is already rising up—let's be the ones to equip them as they take the hope of Christ to their people and beyond. Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Doug Hutchcraft reminds us that sharing our faith isn't something we do alone. He said, “When you say, ‘I'm gonna obey the Great Commission, I'm gonna share His heart and I'm gonna share my faith.' He will show up.” That's the promise Jesus gave us — “Go and make disciples of all nations... and surely, I am with you always.” When we obey His call to share the Gospel, God's presence and power go with us. It's in those moments of faith-filled obedience to share our faith that we see Him work — softening hearts, opening doors, and changing lives. You may not feel qualified or confident, but remember this: when you take the step to speak about Jesus, you're never stepping out alone. The God who sent you goes with you — and He will show up. So today, I encourage you...share your faith, and watch what God will do. For resources and to watch the full interview with Brad and Doug Hutchcraft, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Brad Hutchcraft has seen what happens when we take Jesus' command to share the Gospel seriously. He said, “It's when we share Jesus with someone that we get to see the impact it has on their lives and how the lights come on for someone. And it's infectious.” When you tell someone about Jesus and watch their life change, it fuels your own faith. The joy of seeing God work in another person's heart is contagious—it makes you want to keep going. So today, let's share Jesus with someone who needs the hope found only in Him. It's exciting to join God in the work He is already doing. And when you step out in faith and share the Gospel, you never know how God might use your obedience to ignite faith in another life. For resources to help you share your faith and to watch the full interview with Brad and Doug Hutchcraft, visit sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Ron Hutchcraft, evangelist and founder of Ron Hutchcraft Ministries, reminds us that sharing the Gospel isn't optional — it's our calling. He said, “You are here on mission for Jesus. He has literally placed you in your friend's life. Would you tonight look in the mirror and say these words, ‘I am someone's chance. I am someone's chance at Jesus.'” That's a sobering thought — and an inspiring one. God has strategically placed you in your workplace, your school, your neighborhood, even your family. None of those relationships are accidents but opportunities to be a living witness for Him. When we realize that, every conversation takes on eternal significance. You are a messenger of hope, carrying the Gospel to a world that desperately needs Jesus. Let's ask today, “Lord, who's my someone?” And then as God shows us, let's take the opportunity to share our faith. For resources and to watch the full interview with Ron Hutchcraft, visit our website at sharelife.today.

Hi, I'm John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you're listening to Share Life Today. Jim Sanders, Executive Vice President of Ambassador Advertising, shared about how He has seen God's faithfulness in his own life, “God's blessing has been beyond anything I could have imagined. In between, we started a satellite delivery company called Ambos. And it's clear based on who I am and who we are, that God's hand was in it every step of the way.” Through Ambos, God used Jim and his team to help Christian radio grow—pushing Gospel content to stations around the world. Jim could see God's hand in it all. And the same is true in our lives. When we look back, we see God's faithfulness—how He's guided and transformed us since we placed our trust in Him alone. And sharing our “God stories” can open doors to Gospel conversations. So today, tell someone how God's been faithful to you—and then share the Good News.
