After joining us for several years at Harrisburg Beer Week’s Little Big Beer Fests to promote his upcoming brewery, Brooks Hemauer finally gets his own dedicated podcast episode. Since Hemauer Brewing is not quite yet open, however, he was kind enough to make the trek to the Beer Busters Basement. We talk about how Brooks got into brewing, why he decided to open a brewery, what that brewery will look like, and a lot about digging holes. In Happy Fun Time, Wayne hosts another round of Libation or Fabrication: GABF 2019 Edition. And, Steph takes a dive into the Oatmeal Stout style in Know Your Beers. Plus, we sample some of Hemauer’s brews and a few other surprises. Do you love Beer Busters? Of course you do! SESSION SUMMARY: As of the release of the 13th session of the podcast, Pennsylvania produces more beer annually than any other state in the country and is home to 350+ breweries and counting. It's a state that's seen tremendous growth and evolution regarding the liquid we love, with innovation being at an all-time high and breweries from across the country looking to break into successful PA markets by making their wares available to thirsty citizens throughout the Commonwealth. In this installment of the show, host Jason Cercone is joined by Nate Kresge, Owner & Co-Founder of GK Visual in Harrisburg, PA. Nate and his crew produced the documentary known as Poured In Pennsylvania, an up close and personal look at PA's longstanding history with beer. Poured In PA features interviews with 50 breweries and tells the story of America's oldest brewery (Yuengling) to homebrewers on the cusp of breaking into this thriving, growing industry. Nate shares what GK Visual does outside of the beer world and how all of his company's work helped inspire the creation of Poured In PA. We get to hear about how a small YouTube video about breweries in Harrisburg created by Nate and his crew not only got pirated, but managed to find its way into bars in Hawaii and beyond. This, plus the GK Visual team's love of beer made Poured In PA a passion project that took them on a statewide journey to discover great liquid and the men and women who work daily to bring it to life. Nate and Jason also share their best Yuengling stories and reminisce about how those historic beers serve as treasure to the beer drinkers who don't regularly have them at their disposal. They also talk about where the beer industry is headed, what sort of projects Nate and his crew plan to tackle next, and small documentaries he and his team are doing just for fun at GK Visual. Most importantly, Nate shares two very big pieces of news about Poured In PA:1) You can now watch the documentary on Amazon Prime Video2) Poured In PA will become a series in the upcoming monthsIf you are a Prime member, Poured In PA is now available for you to screen. In Episode 26, Ed Grohl and Bearcat were kindly invited to join the Harrisburg Beer Week team and all the brewery collaborators on the 2019 717 Collab Beer brew day at Tröegs. As the brew was working it’s way to the fermentation tank, Ed and Bearcat sat down with each brewer and finally with the Harrisburg Beer Week team. We discussed the process of collaboration, Harrisburg as a “beer town,” this year's very cool logo, and why 717 is not just a good beer but #BeerForGood. Be sure to follow Harrisburg Beer Week on Twitter, Instagram, and check out all the events during the week. This is a long episode, but we covered a lot of ground about each of the four breweries, the process of making this year’s collaboration beer, and about Harrisburg Beer Week. We hope you like listening to it as much as we liked making it. We return one again to the culmination of Harrisburg Beer Week, an intimate fest celebrating boozy brews, Little Big Beer Fest. This time, the festivities were held at a new location, the National Civil War Museum. Unfortunately, Dan couldn’t be at this recording, but one of our esteemed Patreon supporters and good friend James sat in as guest host. Our line up of interviewees included some of the founders of Harrisburg Beer Week as well as the peeps pouring beers from several of our favorite Central PA breweries. Some veterans of the podcast, some who haven’t graced our mics for some time, and some newcomers, all sat down to talk and sample the awesome beers available at this unique and amazing festival. This is the Harrisburg Beer Week edition. No, we aren't talking beer. There are other places for that. But since it's such a crazy time for us this episode is a little light, but you're still going to get our takes on the hottest sports topics.  As the draft quickly approaches we take one final look at the top of the draft board. We discuss who will go where, which quarterbacks we like, and where we think Saquan Barkley will end up.  Listen to see who we have as locks of this incoming draft class, and which rookies we think can stand out in fantasy this year.  Next up, the NBA. Yes, we finally talk about The Association. The NBA playoffs are just getting underway, but we think it's shaping up to be one of the most exciting. Do we think LeBron will be representing the East year again this year? Who do we like to come out of the Western Conference? We then shift our focus to the MLB and two of the major stories in baseball right now in Shohei Ohtani and Giancarlo Stanton. Plus, find out what think about the Mets, Red Sox, and Pirates hot starts. Be sure to turn your volume down when we get to the Pirates portion.  As they say in hockey, let's do that hockey. We love the playoffs and we've had a pretty exciting first round so far. It's been full of upsets, high scoring, and several overtime games. We can't wait for you to hear our thoughts on it all.  Finally, we wrap up the show with our one awesome thing we've seen in sports. No teases this week, you need to listen to find out.

On Stage at the HBG Beer Week Little Big Beer Fest at Appalachian Brewing Company For the second time the Beer Busters took over the stage at the Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing in Harrisburg, this time for the crowning event of Harrisburg Beer Week: the Little Big Beer Fest. The fest featured big beers from a limited number of local breweries. We managed to corral someone from just about every brewery represented (and a few other old and new friends) to come up on stage, sip some beers and chat. This was an awesome event and a fitting end to an incredible week of beer in Harrisburg, orchestrated by the ladies from Stouts and Stilletos and Sara Bozich. Here’s to hoping next year is even awesomer!
