An excerpt from TCT's interview with Mark O'Neill. The General Manager of Football reveals the stunning reach of the Parramatta Eels and how the massive scope of the club could even shock a club legend in Nathan Hindmarsh.
An excerpt from TCT's interview with Mark O'Neill. Mark reflects on Parramatta's success and failures over the last two seasons as he makes no bones about the disappointment of squandered opportunities in the postseason. He follows that up by banging a suite of critical KPIs the Eels met this season in the overarching strategic plan that indicate that the club is on right on track heading into 2021.
An excerpt from TCT's interview with Mark O'Neill. John (Forty20) hits the GM of Football with a cheeky question about what resonates more with him - the successful debut of a pathways player or an external recruit coming in and making a difference? Mark O'Neill elaborates on why the creed of a Development Club means so much to him but ultimately how he loves to see any player succeed at the Eels.

Recorded from the heart of the Eels' growing home at Kellyville, the boys talk turkey with O'Neill for a full hour. Mark O'Neill walks TCT through his long journey to eventually arrive at the Eels, explaining exactly what his role encompasses and how the surprising magnitude of the club's reach has reshaped his approach at times. The 2020 season is then put up on the carving block as the trio discuss the Parramatta's recent success - as well as their stumbles in the finals - and address the recent media-talk about internal dissatisfaction at the club regarding their exit from the postseason. Roster talk is the focus of the conversation in the home stretch as everything from the status of Michael Jennings, the recent bolstering of the Top 30 with external talent and the developments of Haze Dunster and Sam Hughes get a run. Finally the show wraps up with O'Neill explaining the recent changes to Parramatta's junior systems and just exactly what that entails for junior scouting and development moving forwards.
