Text: Mark 1:9-15Missions Month is a time where we revisit and remember the promise and responsibility of the Gospel in the lives of others. The Gospel is a message that is both to be modeled in lifestyle and shared with words. This month we will look at the different ways our church invests itself in missions locally and globally, and spend time growing in our understanding of missions and the Gospel.Come visit us in person! Mission Month continues with Acts 2. The Spirit came with power, just as Jesus promised. That power wasn't just for the early church-- it's for us, and it's for the mission we're still called to carry.
Will Hall from Compassion joins us to share on the theme of Jesus' beautiful anger that motivated his healing of the man in Mark 3.
From Acts 28:17-31. In this final sermon of Missions Month, Nathan Michael walks through Acts 28 and explores how Paul lived and preached with boldness—not as something he mustered, but as a natural result of knowing Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and living with intentional habits. This message challenges us to embrace our own calling and cultivate a missional boldness in everyday life.
Check out the sermon from this past week as Pastor Brian dives into the first week of Missions Month.
From Acts 9:1-22. Pastor LJ introduced Missions Month by focusing on the transformative stories of Paul and Ananias from the Book of Acts. As believers, we are to recognize the value of the Gospel and to actively engage in sharing it, despite the costs it may entail.
As we being Missions Month 2025, Pastor Ed shares many stories from various missionaries that we support at Eastern. Our prayer for you as we begin this missions emphasis is that you would seek God's heart for the people of the world.
Guest Speaker - Troy Dean, Bushnell University (Missions Month)Are you confident in explaining the Good News? This week, we're diving into the simplicity and power of the Gospel. We'll answer two life-changing questions: 1️⃣ What is the Gospel? 2️⃣ Why does it matter for me and those I love?
