Ryan Singh Productions Ltd. is thrilled to announce its latest cinematic endeavor, "Ray of Hope," makes it theatre debut today at Cineplex Odeon Eglinton Town Centre Cinemas.  Ray Of Hope, is a compelling documentary project that delves into the collective immigrant experiences of displaced Tamil people from Sri Lanka. This poignant narrative follows their quest for identity and nationhood, stemming from their escape during the prolonged armed conflict in Sri Lanka, which culminated in the harrowing events of May 2009. The diaspora's impassioned plea for foreign intervention serves as the backdrop for this stirring tale of hope and resilience.   Anchored by Rathika Sitsabaiesan, a former Canadian Member of Parliament and a mentee of the late Jack Layton is the Heart of "Ray of Hope".  "Ray of Hope" features an ensemble cast, including Collins Perinpanayagam, Sutha Shanmugarajah, Maya D'Elia, and many others. These diverse voices seamlessly weave together history, politics, the scenic beauty of Sri Lanka, the horrors of war, their rich culture, and their longing for home. In the process, the documentary captures the indomitable spirit of the diasporic Tamil community as they strive to triumph over adversity.  "Ray of Hope" boasts a talented creative team led by first-time feature documentary writer-director Ryan Singh, mentored by the experienced Nikila Cole.  The film previewed at the Scarborough Convention Centre earlier this week to a 500+ audience made up of members of the Tamil and non-Tamil communities alongside politicians and a press corps. A five-minute standing ovation erupted at the conclusion of the screening with many people offering their own connection to the film's subject matter despite their backgrounds.   Ryan Singh has actively engaged with the community to ensure the authenticity and depth of "Ray of Hope." Consultations were held with the various Tamil organizations and community leaders, the Canadian Centre for Victims of Torture, Immigrant Women in Business, Tamil Rights Group, and The Canadian Tamil Cinema Enhancement Organization, who have recently come on board as consulting producers for the project.   "As one of the producers of 'Ray of Hope', I am immensely proud to be a member of the team that sheds light on the resilience and courage of the Tamil community, particularly those who fled Sri Lanka during the civil war and found refuge in Toronto, a city renowned for its diversity and inclusivity.    Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

People say as soon as I accomplish this one thing in my life, then I'll be happy. But when you achieve it, there's always another thing, and another thing after that. A lot of people fall into this loop. “When I finish school, I'll be happy” - not happy. “When I get married, I'll be happy” - not happy. “When I have kids, I'll be happy” - not happy. “When my kids get out of the house, I'll be happy” - not happy. “When I go to heaven, I'll finally be happy”. So, it comes down to the question "What is really happiness?", a lot of people are stumped. With guest speaker Ryan Singh, we discuss the personal growth journey we've all had over the past couple of years and how COVID really served as a "quarantine revelation". What it gave us was a time to reevaluate our lives and realize that we could get 1% better each day. For many, it was an experimentation period, as the beginning stages of anything always are. We dig deep into the study of success and how it will always be exponential, and never linear. Many see success as a straight line, or something where if you put in the work for 1,2,3, even 4 months straight, you will see results. But success is never like that. Like an exponential graph, it stays at the bottom until it reaches a halfway point, where it will then shoot up. The habits, the mindset, and just this entertaining segment on how far the little things in life go will be uncovered on this comedic and motivational episode. Listen to this episode for some brilliant discussion!

Ryan knows that technology is taking over. Ryan and his children wrote the film H.E.N.R.I. Ryan has many more projects to come. He is dedicated to his writing and filmmaking. He is now with the Union and he has great opportunities to show more of his work. Watch Out!!! Ryan is coming!! ALL ABOUT RYAN: Toronto, ON - H.E.N.R.I. a science fiction film from award-winning Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) member, Guyanese born Canadian filmmaker, Ryan Singh, makes its world premiere at the Toronto Black Film Festival, in February 10, 2021. Singh made H.E.N.R.I. a family affair including his six-year-old twins, Ava (Tall Boyz, Handmaid's Tale) and Sebastian (Suits, Handmaid's Tale, Silent) who helped write and also appear with their father in the short film. Being able to empower his children to have a voice, was a blessing for the filmmaker. H.E.N.R.I. comes on the heels of Singh's 2020 award-winning documentary, “Memento,” a South African Artventure. Like for many of his fellow filmmakers, 2021 brings a heightened awareness of our changing times and the urgency to empower the voices of all persons of color to take ownership of their stories. Singh takes the responsibility of this journey, seriously. 100% of the cast was BIPOC and more than 80% of the crew was BIPOC or Women, including DGC director Katarzyna Kochany and producer/actor Andrea Grant (Get Rich or Die Tryin', The Listener). The entire VFX crew is BIPOC, including VFX artists Adrian Bobb, Colin Walcott, Cait Salmon, as well as Akash Singh and his team at Akash Productions. The idea for H.E.N.R.I. was formed from Singh's observation of his children's reactions and relationship with Google Home and Alexa. The short film follows 7-year-old Simon after the tragic loss of his father. A grieving Simon looks for answers from his artificial intelligence communicator while his mother and sister try to adjust to their new reality.  Singh's upcoming projects include feature films and a slate of television projects, including a children's program developed through the BIPOC KIDS TV WRITING BOOTCAMP.  You can follow and contact Ryan on social media at :  INSTAGRAM: @twinpapa321  TWITTER: @RyanSinghMedia  FACEBOOK: @ryansinghenterprises  and Ryan's website at WEBSITE: www.ryansinghenterprises.com

Well, now.We couldn't do a normal episode because Chris and I are jetting off to pummel some bastards at Glesgames. You should come! So, instead I managed to pull friend, podcaster and esteemed luxomancer Gareth Dutton of Chat Very Good and Making Games Is Fun fame into resurrecting a failed MGIF project for your entertainment. For those not aware, MGIF is Gary's project where he interviews game developers and photographs them, producing a written article, a podcast, and a photoshoot with each developer. It's cool and you should check it out.You can hear the full story in the show, but here's the gist: this episode contains the highlights of Gary's short interview with Peter Molyneux and Ryan Singh of 22Cans, recorded not long after that RPS interview. The plan was to revisit the studio and do some more photos and a longer interview, but logistical issues and unanswered e-mails put a stop to it. So Gary took the best bits of what he had, and we listened to it together whilst intermittently offering our stupid fucking opinions as we went.It was a lot of fun to record, and hopefully you mugs will appreciate having something slightly different to listen to this fortnight.Normal service will resume prrrrobably in a fortnight, unless me and Chris somehow record something at Glesgames. Which would be funny, but don't hold your breath. Seriously, you'll die.x
