Sermon from Ron Evans at Agape Center Ministries on November 16, 2025 - Nehemiah 4

When you sin, do you realize it is against God? Yes, sin has an effect on people but it is an affront to God first. When we live in this place, we start to see how big sin is which then allows us to see how deep God's grace is for us.

We stepped away from the Book of Revelation to look at the Book of Jude. Bad times leads to bad teaching, and bad teaching leads to bad times. We must not grow weary and lazy, but keep pursing the Lord and finishing strong!

We finished the rest of Revelation 9, covering verses 13-21. Open up your Bibles and follow along!

Tonight in our Wednesday night marriage series “God's Plan for Marriage”, we talked about the power of the tongue!

We went through Revelation 9:1-12 and unpacked the 5th Trumpet and 1st of 3 woes, using the Bible to figure out what John's visions could be alluding to, but making sure we see how this message applies to the Church.

Today we continued our sermon series in the Book of Revelation, going through Chapter 8.

Our second session of our Wednesday night marriage series. The topic is roles and responsibilities.

The Book of Revelation exposes important themes for us who believe that there is a day when Christ will return and make all things right. Until that time comes, we will face conflict that will expose the genuineness of our faith ( 1 Peter:1) we profess. No one loves God perfectly, and hardships and conflict expose the areas of our lives where we lack in obedience which exposes our imperfect love for Him. The good news, we have been given the love of God, complete and full in us…we must decrease ourselves to increase the revelation of that love to the world around us.

Today we covered Revelation 6 and 7 and the theme of compromise or faithfulness. We ventured to Hebrews and Romans to discuss this more. Comfort in the world is the killer of faithfulness to Christ.

Today we covered Revelation 5! Christ is the perfect and complete Judge, Redeemer and Executor! This world practices evil and sin, but God is patient and wants as many people to be saved as possible. Judgement will come, and so will redemption - you can't understand one without the other.

We stepped away from our Revelation series to speak about the accused, the slanderer, the deceiver, the bringer of light - the devil and his weapon of deception.

The recording of the presentation part of week 1 of our Wednesday Night Marriage Series. The topic was communication. We did not record the discussion part.

Today in our Sermon Series in the Book of Revelation, we covered Chapter 4 and talked about we were created to worship the God of creation. The questions we need to ask ourselves is where do you put your worship? Do you worship the God described in Revelation 4, or do you put your worship somewhere else? It belongs to Him!

Why do we believe what we believe when it comes to the Bible and the different doctrines it entails? Is it through humble hearts and asking the the Holy Spirit to guide us in our reading of God's Word, or did we just merely adopt something that may seem more traditional and “man-made”? Today's sermon on the rapture is not meant to offend anyone and their beliefs, but challenge people in their discernment in their understanding of the Bible. Regardless of what you believe when it comes to this topic, do you break fellowship because of conflicting views? Does the doctrine produce a “bad fruit” in you towards others? Please listen.

We recapped chapter 1 and went through chapters 2 and 3, the letters to the 7 churches. Get your Bibles open and follow along!

Today we began our Book of Revelation Sermon Series by setting the table with context and a preface and how to approach the book. We also covered the first few verses in the opening chapter, speaking the “7”s of Who Christ is in the opening verses. Open your Bibles and follow along.

Today we dedicated our new gathering space to the Lord and preached a sermon on the benefit (and command) of godliness in the Christian life. The time stamps for the recording are as follows: 0-6:30 / Dedication of the building 6:31 - 15:50 / Acknowledgments and Building Updates 15:51 - 22:04 / Announcements 22:05 - 1:25:09 / Sermon “Benefit of Godliness”

Short sermon from our baptism service on July 27, 2025.

We had our first worship gathering in our new building and it was packed! The sermon today was about our awe of God. Do we still have it? Did we ever have it? Proper awe in God is vital to walking in joy with the Lord. Take a listen!(Photo is of Dax swimming in Lake Michigan)

Today we spoke about baptism and how salvation coincides with it. We looked at verses in the Bible that seem to assume that baptism is salvific and required to be saved. This however contradicts with the foundational element of grace in the Gospel message. We unpack a few of these verses and talk about the beauty of baptism and what it truly signifies.

Today we unpacked what it means to have the mind of Christ. This does not mean that we are able to just “take hardships”, but rejoice in the midst of them! 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 was the selected passage. Open your Bibles and follow along.

Today we closed out our “No Other Gospel” Book of Galatians Sermon Series, covering chapter 6. Open up your Bibles and follow along!

We entered our 7th week of the “No Other Gospel” Book of Galatians Sermon Series, unpacking Galatians 5! Open your Bibles and follow along.

We continued our No Other Gospel Book of Galatians Series by closing out chapter 4 some expounding on our “wilderness” time we may find ourselves in. This time is not “aimless” but by divine appointment. Pastor Josh wants to make sure he holds true to the proper teaching of God's word, and in speaking and preaching can “slip up” because his brain has not caught up with his mouth. See below some notes corrections he wanted to point out:*At the 8:25 minute mark Pastor Josh was referencing Numbers 20:10. Moses did not enter the promise land because he did strike the rock twice RATHER than speaking to it as he was commanded. *At the 23:30 minute mark, Sarah waited 25 years to have Isaac after God said she would give birth to a child. Pastor Josh in error said 20 years. *At the 24:45 minute mark Pastor Josh in error said “Heavenly Father” being sinful when he meant to say “earthly father”.

Today we covered Galatians 4:8-20 as we continue our No Other Gospel Sermon Series. Open your Bibles and follow along!

Our second study in our adult Sunday School teaching series. This week we talked about Islam.

Pastor Josh switched up things to bring a personal message regarding personal struggles that has led to him having to evaluate where he is at today when it comes to his walk with God and how his time is being spent. He prays it is convicting and comforting for you.

We started chapter 3 in Galatians and covered verses 1 through 22. Open up your Bibles and follow along!
