Rescheduling the call. Moving the appointment. Saying “not today.” If you're a high achiever, you already know that's sometimes the most responsible, ethical choice… and you still feel like trash afterward. That's the problem: you can do the sustainable thing and still pay the judgment tax—the self-punishment fee your brain charges you for being human. In this episode, we build self-compassion as a performance skill (not a vibe). You'll learn how to stop confusing a capacity-based decision with an identity verdict, especially if you're attached to being “the reliable one.” We'll talk about why rest can feel like irresponsibility, why boundaries can trigger shame, and how nervous system regulation actually requires truth—not calendar lies. You'll leave with a simple reframe and a line to use in real time: “This decision is neutral. I'm not available for the judgment tax.”If this hits, follow the show and come join Sunday CEO Diaries for more burnout-proof tools for high performers.

Pastor Derek explores the concepts of the Truth and the Lie according to the Bible. He explains how believing the Truth leads to life, while believing the Lie leads to destruction. He emphasises the importance of embracing God's truth and rejecting falsehoods, in our spiritual journey of faith. This is ideal for those seeking a deeper understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith. The TRUTH by its very nature is NARROW, whereas the LIE is BROAD. There is ONE TRUE GOD and one true faith, but there are many false gods, and many false religions. Therefore, you will only find the TRUTH, by having a heart commitment to seek and to know the TRUTH of God, and a refusal to take the easy way, and accept the convenient lies that make your life easier (Matthew 7:13-14). The truth is reality, the Lie is an illusion. The Truth of God: (1) God is the Creator. and sovereign over all. He defines our identity and purpose. (2) There is an absolute standard of right and wrong (the Moral Law, based on God's own nature), and we are accountable to God to keep His Law. (3) Thus there is such a thing as SIN and GUILT, when we break God's Moral Law. (4) We will be JUDGED by God for how we have lived. Atheists say that faith in God is an escape for people afraid of the dark, whereas the truth is that atheism is a fairy-tale escape for people who are afraid of the light. We must choose between the light (truth) and the darkness (lie), John 3:19-20. The Lie is the denial of the truth. If there is no God, there is no absolute right or wrong, so we are free to do whatever we want, which is attractive to many. The LIE says there is no ultimate reality beyond this evolving universe, which means we can define our own truth. This allows man to be his own god, with the right to decide in himself, what is right and wrong, and he is not accountable to any higher being. This means this universe came into being from nothing by accident, and evolved all by itself – irrational! The Lie is EVOLUTION. Believing the LIE puts you in the broad road to corruption & destruction (Romans 1:18-25). Satan is the father of the Lie (John 8:44, Isaiah 14:12-14, Ezekiel 28:13-18, Revelation 12:3-4, Genesis 3:1-4). Believing the Truth is necessary to be saved, for the Gospel of salvation through Christ only makes sense if you believe the truth of God, righteousness, sin & judgment. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12: “They will PERISH, because they did not receive the LOVE of THE TRUTH, that they might be SAVED. And for this reason, God will send them strong DELUSION, that they should believe THE LIE, that they all may be CONDEMNED, who did not believe THE TRUTH, but had PLEASURE in unrighteousness.” When men reject the TRUTH, because they want to be free to enjoy a sinful lifestyle, they open their heart to embrace the LIE (the only alternative), the deception that there is no God, so they can be their own god, free to live as they please. This then becomes the basis for their final CONDEMNATION by God. So, an essential first step for people to be SAVED is that they must believe in the TRUTH of the CREATOR God.

Send us Fan MailRomans 8:1–17: No Condemnation, Life in the Spirit, and Adoption as God's Children Ken Corkins and pastor Rocky Ellison discuss Romans 8:1–17 (RSV) on “Pondering the Bible,” focusing on Paul's shift from despair in Romans 7 to assurance that there is “no condemnation” for those in Christ, especially in the end-time judgment. They explain that believers are judged by what Jesus has done, not by the law weakened by the flesh, and emphasize the role of the indwelling Holy Spirit as evidence of belonging to Christ. They interpret “living by the Spirit” as being troubled by sin and pursuing sanctification, and they discuss verses 9–11 as pointing to the Trinity. Using an ancient slavery-and-redemption analogy, they describe Jesus as redeemer and conclude with believers' adoption as God's children and heirs with Christ; they recommend the NLT for clarity and note a week off for Vacation Bible School before finishing Romans 8. 00:00 Welcome and Setup 00:21 Romans 8 Reading 03:22 No Condemnation Explained 06:04 Judged by Different Rules 08:45 Flesh vs Spirit Mindset 09:18 Do You Have the Spirit 13:02 Trinity in You 16:04 Debtors and Redeemer 20:05 Adoption and Heirs 23:03 Wrap Up and Next WeekNEW!: Rate us at Podchaser  Find us at www.pondergmc.org. Feedback is welcome: PonderMethodist@gmail.com Music performed by the Ponder GMC worship team.Cover Art: Joe WagnerRecorded, edited and mixed by Snikrock

I'm Cheryl Lee, and I'm joined by the unstoppable Jessica Mauboy as she counts down to her very first Mundi Mundi Bash, picturing the outback landscape, the community vibe, and the creative challenge of building a show worthy of a lineup packed with talent. We also have a laugh about the road-trip reality of it all, because festivals aren't just music, they're people, costumes, and long days under big skies. From there, we rewind to the early turning points that shaped her career. Jessica talks about auditioning for Australian Idol as a teen, getting told she was too young, and coming back with her family's belief pushing her forward. We dig into what changes when you go from being judged to doing the judging on The Voice Australia, and how confidence gets built one brave decision at a time. If you care about the behind-the-scenes reality of the music industry, this part lands hard because it's honest and specific. We also go deeper on identity and ownership: Eurovision, representing Australia, and the pride of carrying culture, community, and responsibility onto an international stage. Jessica opens up about launching her independent space Jamally after years with a major label, plus the vulnerability of songwriting, including the quiet moment of asking her mom's permission before writing “Little Things.” We wrap with a beautiful reflection on motherhood and why surrendering to constant change might be the most practical creative lesson there is.If you loved this conversation, subscribe to Still Rockin' It, share it with a friend who needs a push, and leave a review so more people can find these Aussie music stories. What is Jessica Mauboy up to at the moment?  Let's find out!Get out when you can, support local music and I'll see you down the front!!Visit:  ThatRadioChick.com.au

You walk into a room and your guard goes up. Not because anyone said anything. Not because anyone is even looking at you yet. Just the room. If this is you, you've probably called it social anxiety, or being too sensitive, or I just care too much what people think. It's none of those things on their own. In this episode, Dr. Aziz unpacks what's actually been installed in you over the last twenty years, and why uninstalling the apps doesn't fix it. There's a specific equation running underneath the chronic feeling of being evaluated, and once you can see it, the just stop caring what people think advice stops looking like an answer. He shares two stories that show how the wiring gets installed and how it propagates. One from when he was eleven, sitting in a Supercuts, flipping through a magazine he'd never normally read. One from last week, with his ten and twelve-year-old kids and a basketball trick shot. The two stories together show why this isn't a personality flaw and isn't fixed by uninstalling the apps. It's the cultural arrangement we've all been swimming in, and the equation it installed inside you decades ago. Discover your approval type. In 2025, there was a major rollback of DEI initiatives, and in 2026 the gender pay gap widened in advertising, while it shrinks in other sectors. However, the IPA Census reported the proportion of women in C-suite surpassing 40% in adland for the first time, and ethnic minority representation at senior levels improved following two successive years of decline.Campaign's School Reports highlight and critique an agency's efforts to improve its diversity, which has received some criticism for focusing too much on race and gender and overlooking class. In this episode, Campaign's journalists are asking whether, in a time of declining DEI initiatives, an agency should be judged by its diversity, how much do clients care, and is agency diversity becoming less of a priority.Hosted by tech and multimedia editor Lucy Shelley, this episode includes premium content editor Nicola Merrifield, deputy media editor Shauna Lewis and UK editor Maisie McCabe.Further reading:Why has adland's gender pay gap got worse?School Reports 2026: The end of “performative window dressing” for diversity Hosted on Acast. Send us Fan MailIn this heartfelt and deeply reflective episode of The Box & The Sky series, Keya McClain the Poet explores the emotional weight, identity shifts, and invisible expectations that often come with motherhood — especially for Black women. The Pressure to Be Everything and Still Be Judged dives into the exhausting reality many mothers experience while trying to nurture, protect, provide, heal, support, lead, and survive… all while still being criticized, misunderstood, or emotionally overlooked. From self-sacrifice and emotional burnout to identity loss and the complicated transition of parenting adult children, Keya opens up about the pressure many women quietly carry while trying to remain strong for everyone else.In this episode, Keya discusses:• The invisible emotional labor many mothers carry• Why Black mothers are often praised for survival while privately exhausted• The pressure to constantly sacrifice and overextend• Losing yourself in caregiving and motherhood• The emotional complexity of parenting adult children• Learning how to love without controlling• The guilt many women feel when prioritizing themselves• Why motherhood should not require women to disappear emotionally or personallyKeya also explores how many mothers are re-parenting themselves while simultaneously parenting others — navigating healing, boundaries, emotional regulation, identity, and womanhood all at the same time. This conversation is for every mother who has ever felt emotionally stretched between nurturing others and rediscovering herself. You are allowed to love deeply without abandoning yourself. And your humanity matters just as much as your caregiving.Support the show

Let's know what you liked and learnt! What does it really take to become a modern CMO?In this episode of The Super CMO Show with Swami, Megha Agarwal shares why she calls herself a “non-traditional CMO” — one who goes beyond brand campaigns to think about growth, monetization, P&L, consumer obsession, and business building.Drawing from her journey across Table Space, WeWork, Unilever and CavinKare Megha speaks about startup chaos, building categories from scratch, the future of agencies, creativity in the AI era, mentorship, leadership, and why marketers must constantly reinvent themselves. A sharp, insight-packed conversation on what marketing leadership truly demands today.About MeghaMegha Agarwal is a marketing leader, growth strategist, and business builder with close to two decades of experience across FMCG, consumer brands, startups, and enterprise workspaces. Currently the Chief Marketing Officer at Table Space, she has built her career at the intersection of brand building, growth, customer experience, and business transformation.⭐ 5 Key TakeawaysThe modern CMO must understand business, not just marketing: Megha argues that marketers who do not understand P&L, monetization, and cross-functional business impact risk becoming irrelevant in today's environment.  Consumer obsession is still the strongest competitive advantage: One of her biggest learnings from  was that true marketing begins with deeply understanding consumers — not through dashboards, but through immersion, humility, and lived observation.  Building brands from scratch requires a completely different mindset: Moving from FMCG to startups taught her that scaling brands is very different from creating foundational systems, processes, tools, and teams from zero.  AI will commoditize marketing science — creativity becomes the differentiator: As AI automates research, analytics, and execution, original thinking, creativity, and human insight will become the most valuable capabilities for marketers.  Sustainable growth requires support systems, not perfection: Megha challenges the myth of perfect work-life balance, emphasizing intentional trade-offs, communication, asking for support, and building ecosystems both at work and at home. ⏱️ Timestamps00:03:20 — Why Old-School Marketing Thinking Is Breaking Down00:09:50 — Brands Are Built in Years, Judged in Quarters00:12:17 — Nobody Prepares You for Real Decisions00:13:54 — The Consumer Is Still the Most Important Person in the Room00:18:01 — Big Brands Cannot Afford Recklessness00:20:59 — Building Is More Exciting Than Managing00:23:21 — Growth Fails Without Foundations00:25:49 — You Cannot Scale Chaos Forever00:28:19 — Big Companies Hide How Difficult Things Really Are00:31:52 — Most Career Limits Exist Only in the Mind00:39:24 — Execution Is Common. In today's episode, we look at the woman in Luke 7 who walks into a room full of people who already think they know her story and brings her whole self to the feet of Jesus. This passage shows us the difference between shame that keeps us hiding and the kind of love that helps us come close. We'll explore: *Why shame thrives in secrecy *Why people judge & how it affects both the person judging & others *The corrective emotional experience of dignity, compassion, and love found in Jesus Go Deeper: Episode 23: Am I Wounded or am I Sinful? Through the story of King Belshazzar, we're reminded that God's warnings are real, His patience is not endless, and His judgment is certain. This sermon challenges us to stop ignoring what we already know and begin living it out with humility, discipline, and full surrender to God.

Mental Wealth, Leave a New LegacyIn this episode of Mental Wealth, Katie and Laura unpack a deeply emotional situation many moms can relate to: feeling judged, misunderstood, or emotionally unsafe within family dynamics. When beliefs clash with someone close to you, especially a mother-in-law, it can feel personal, painful, and hard to navigate. They discuss how postpartum emotions, a new baby, and the need for support can make these moments hit even deeper. Laura shares how boundaries are not about controlling someone else, but about protecting your peace, your child, and your emotional well-being.This conversation is a reminder that you do not have to shrink yourself to be accepted. You can honor your sadness, stay grounded in who you are, and release the need for validation from someone who may never fully understand you.Protecting your peace is not selfish.

How You Respond to Jesus, In Your Earthly Life, Will Determine How You Are Judged By Jesus MESSAGE SUMMARY: Jesus claimed to be the unique, divine Son of God; therefore, Jesus is on an equal footing with God. Jesus said that He would one day judge the world. How you respond to Jesus, in your life, will determine how you are judged. The Apostle John summarizes, in John 20:27-29, the interchange between Jesus and the Apostle Thomas when Thomas realizes who Jesus, the man that he had been following for years, is: “Then he said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe' Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!' Jesus said to him, ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.'”. You, as follower of Jesus, have not seen Jesus or His wounds. Therefore, do you believe through your faith; and are you able, by your faith, to say: “My Lord and my God!”? If not, why not?   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, you know how difficult it is for me to be in silence before you. At times it feels almost impossible, given the demands, distractions, and noise all around me. I invite you to lead me to a quiet, silent place before you — to a place where I can hear you as Elijah did. In Jesus' name, amen.     Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 123). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Resentment. Rather, I will abide in the Lord's Compassion. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5).
