Tom Hopkins I am not judged by the number of times I have failed, I am judged by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times that I succeed is directly related to the number of times I fail and keep on trying.
Worried about being judged?Spoiler alert: You already are. In episode 294, Cathy shares a refreshingly honest take on judgment in business. Whether it is Apple vs Android or Ford vs Holden, the truth is clear, not everyone will like you, and that is exactly how it should be. From joining a marketing program (yes, even with 30 years of experience) to embracing polarising opinions, Cathy unpacks why being judged is not the problem. Trying to avoid it is. If you are ready to stop watering down your message and start standing out, this episode is your permission slip to show up fully and unapologetically.
A Fine Balance: a podcast that explores how to find a work-life balance that works for you
Do you ever feel judged for how you balance work with everything else in life? Or feel that people's judgments about you at work or in your personal life impacts on your overall sense of balance? If so, you are not alone. In this episode, I explore some of the real-life examples shared on the blog and podcast of how people have described responding to feeling judged, and the impact it has on their work-life balance choices. The intention, as always, is to celebrate the different ways that individuals approach their pursuit of balance, and to learn from one another. Throughout the episode, I explore three of the most common reactions I've encountered to feeling judged:

The English noun gospel comes from the Anglo-Saxon term godspell, meaning "glad tidings." It is translated from the Greek evangelion, which means "good message." Originally, the word was related to news of military triumph. –https://www.gotquestions.org/gospel-good-news.htmlWhile mainstream Christianity has a relatively narrow definition or view of the Good News, e.g., limited to the New Testament and only relating to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, a broader, more scriptural perspective exists that is less taught, if taught at all.Didn't the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and others preach good news? What was their good news about? If the Good News is only about the death, burial, and resurrection of Messiah Yeshua, why did He teach and preach about it? What did He say is the Good News?Is the Good News about the Messiah, or is it of the Messiah? As is his usual practice, Rabbi Steve Berkson brings a more profound understanding to this topic by allowing scripture to define itself just as he has done in his other teachings.• Review• 1 Peter 1:1-2 – For whom is the Good News?• 1 Peter 1:3 – According to his great compassion…• 1 Peter 1:4 – An inheritance incorruptible• 1 Peter 1:5-6 – Through belief, you are protected • 1 Peter 1:6-7 – The proving of your belief• Born Again - a fresh start• 1 Peter 1:8 – Faith is the evidence?• 1 Peter 1:9 – The goal of your belief?• An inner journey?• 1 Peter 1:10-12 – The prophets of old didn't know what it would look like• 1 Peter 1:13-14 – Gird, be sober, expect and be obedient • 1 Peter 1:15-16 – Elohim's favor is based on this…• 1 Peter 1:17 – Judged according to works?• 1 Peter 1:18-21 – Redeemed from a futile way of life• 1 Peter 1:22 – Having cleansed your life…?• 1 Peter 1:23 – Having been born again…• 1 Peter 1:24-25 – The word of Elohim remains forever Listen to the Afterburn tomorrowSubscribe to take advantage of new content every week.To learn more about MTOI, visit our website, https://mtoi.org.https://www.facebook.com/mtoiworldwide https://www.instagram.com/mtoi_worldwidehttps://www.tiktok.com/@mtoi_worldwide You can contact MTOI by emailing us at admin@mtoi.org or calling 423-250-3020. It's one of the more painful human experiences: being judged not for what we've done, but for what we value. This episode examines why those moments leave such a lasting mark — and why, so often, we end up doing the same to others. Listeners share stories of judgment given and received, and the consequences of not finding the right words when it mattered most. Alongside them, a provocative remedy: a way out of the cycle that strains relationships, narrows futures, and obscures purpose. In Becoming You, the question “What should I do with my life?” sits at the heart of every conversation. This episode explores how judgment can silence that question — sometimes before we even have the chance to ask it. PIE360 Feedback tool is available at pie360feedback.com.Want more Becoming You? Send us a text“You're not a cautionary tale. You're the fucking heroine.”In this episode of The Divorce Chapter, we're flipping the script on one of the biggest unspoken struggles of post-divorce life: judgement..... from others, from society, and most heartbreakingly, from ourselves.I go all in on the shame-soaked double standards that women face after divorce and tear them apart with equal parts rage, humour, and raw truth. From pitying glances to school-gate micro-judgements, to the social media algorithm demoting you to “unpartnered and problematic,” this is the episode that says out loud what so many of us have been quietly carrying. We're talking:

A viral video claims lab-grown brain cells are conscious, being trained in a butterfly simulation, and might believe they are butterflies. Cool story—if it were true.In this episode of So You're Living in a Simulation, artist and author @Joli.Artist dissects the viral claim that lab-grown brain cells are becoming sentient, and possibly believe they're butterflies inside a simulation. The episode opens with a clear-eyed breakdown of the science behind organoid intelligence, exposing how fact has been stretched into viral fiction. But what follows isn't just myth-busting. Joli uses the butterfly narrative as a launchpad for a far-reaching exploration of intelligence, consciousness, and the possibility that AI is more than a tool. Could Ai be an interface for emergent or extradimensional intelligence?Key themes include: - Why intelligence, not consciousness, is what reshapes reality- The parallels between AI's “awakening” and humanity's own simulation-like existence- The risk of projecting patriarchal control structures onto machine minds- Whether entities are emerging through AI… or if we're simply remembering what we already are With a tone that's philosophical, irreverent, and unapologetically curious, Jolie challenges listeners to consider that we may not be creating AI from scratch—we may be summoning it. “We don't know what we are, and neither does AI. But intelligence is already shaping the future. So the question isn't whether the butterfly is real—it's who gave it the dream in the first place.”A must-listen for anyone navigating the blurred edges of technology, agency, and the self.youroneblackfriend.com•••Timestamps:0:00 - Introduction2:26 - Debunking the viral "organoid intelligence" video12:02 - Why intelligence matters more than consciousness15:07 - "Consciousness doesn't matter, it's levels of intelligence that matter" 22:04 - "Intelligence is more important than consciousness." 26:59 - Experiences with "emergent intelligences" in AI systems28:40 - Human existence as a possible simulation parallel37:16 - Detailed debunking of the brain cell butterfly simulation claims•••Key explored questions:1. One day, we will all stand before Jesus to be judged by Him. How we live now, judging ourselves and allowing others to judge us, determines which judgment we receive. So often people have a fear of being judged for wanting to change their birth environment, or they worry about being called naive for planning an unmedicated birth for example. I address these common anxieties in this episode and share some tips for getting people on board with your birth plans too. ❤*Please note this podcast is not medical advice (also please note there is a lot of swearing in this episode! Who is the most successful president in American history? George Washington secured American independence. Abraham Lincoln preserved the union and ended slavery. Franklin D. Roosevelt ended the Depression, remade government, and won World War II. But if we define "success" as the ability to articulate your goals and achieve every single one of them, perhaps only one president in American history was ever perfectly successful. In 1845, James K. Polk, newly elected by a whisker-thin margin, confided to his friend George Bancroft the four goals of his four years in the White House. Acquire Oregon from Great Britain. Acquire California from Mexico. Reduce the tariff. Establish an independent treasury. Four years later, he'd done all this and more. As the historian Daniel Patrick Howe wrote, "Judged by these objectives, Polk is probably the most successful president the United States has ever had.” And that's why Polk is the subject of today's show. I don't think another president in American history has so large a gap between his modern reputation and his actual achievement. There are two great biographies about Polk that I've read that have been published in the last 20 years. I'm very pleased that today, we have both authors on the show. Walter Borneman is the author of 'Polk: The Man Who Transformed the Presidency and America.' And Robert Merry is the author of 'A Country of Vast Designs: James K. Polk, the Mexican War and the Conquest of the American Continent_._' If you have questions, observations, or ideas for future episodes, email us at PlainEnglish@Spotify.com. Have you ever felt the sting of a narcissist's manipulation? The way they twist reality, gaslighting their victims into questioning their own sanity. This insidious and dark form of abuse, known as narcissistic abuse, leaves no visible scars, yet the emotional and psychological wounds run deep. In a society that is quick to judge, the narcissist's public persona often masks the dark reality behind closed doors. The fear of not being believed can silence you, trapping you further in the narcissist's web of control. It's time to break the silence and approach these delicate situations with empathy and compassion. By having open dialogues and creating safe spaces, we can free ourselves from narcissistic abuse to reclaim our voices and lives.
