The emails start with a plea from a Betch to “Craft My Text” after she is annoyed by a baby shower request that has her wondering how to gracefully respond. The Betchicist of the week explores the contentious topic of body related commentary, even when it's your own, when a listener's colleague demands she change her negative tone about her physique. Dr. Naomi shares an intention for a woman who is reaching a big lifestyle milestone but is in her feels about it not being everything she had on her vision board. Renaissance fairs have long been a place for workers and visitors alike to find community amid the trappings of a fictional medieval town. “Merchants” bring their wares to hawk, while various “guilds” provide the entertainment, from jousting to smithing to demonstrating medieval textile arts. But some longtime guild workers at the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire have pulled out of the festival due to what they describe as bad management and poor working conditions. They say the organization that puts on the fair – which also operates the Oregon Renaissance Faire and Oregon Celtic Festival – has prioritized profits over maintaining the sense of community that workers and volunteers value. Nathalie Graham is a former freelance reporter who now writes for The Seattle Stranger. She looked into these complaints in a recent article for InvestigateWest and joins us with more details.
For any reason, if you don't like the material world, then you are in luck because you have the process to rise above it. As a US president used to say during his campaigns, "Don't boo, vote." He would talk about the opposition; people would go, "Boo!" And he said, "No, don't boo. Just vote." In the same way, you don't have to complain. I mean, you can a little bit because it feels good sometimes, but don't complain too much. Just chant and arrange your life so that you can hear. The śṛṇuyāt principle means the medicine is there. It's right on the shelf. You can just take a few steps and take it down. And don't complain if you have a stomach ache, the cure is right there. Just get it and start taking the cure as much as possible, and rise from being a kaniṣṭha-adhikārī to a madhyama-adhikārī. Kaniṣṭha-adhikārīs complain, a lot. In fact, they're always quarreling. Prabhupāda mentions this in the Śrī Īśopaniṣad. He says, "Kaniṣṭha-adhikārīs quarrel amongst themselves about the details of the process, whether somebody else is doing it right or wrong." And then he says the madhyama-adhikārīs—they're absorbed in thinking how to give Kṛṣṇa consciousness to others. Who would you rather hang out with? People who are always quarreling and complaining and criticizing each other for the details of how they're doing devotional service, or those who are thinking about how to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness all over the world? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

3 Goals: 1. To be reminded of Biblical Lament, and that God wants to hear from us and will help us in our affliction. 2. To strengthen our faith in the truthfulness of the gospel. 3. To encourage us with the hope of the gospel, and Christ's amazing love for us. What is Biblical lament? - A prayer, in pain, that leads to trust. - A journey of the heart, in faith, with God from beginning to end. The "journey" of Biblical Lament has 4 parts: Turn, Complain, Ask, and Trust 1. Turn: Turn to God in prayer, and be honest with Him about how you feel 2. Complain: Tell God your reasons for pain and confusion The "journey" of Biblical Lament has 4 parts: Turn, Complain, Ask, and Trust 3. Ask: Boldly ask God to act, according to His character and promises 4. Trust: Reaffirm Who you know God to be, and choose to trust Him The "journey" of Biblical Lament in Psalm 22: 1. Turn: My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? (vv. 1-2) 2. Complain: "I am scorned and despised" (vv. 3-10) "A company of evildoers encircles me" (vv. 12-18) The "journey" of Biblical Lament in Psalm 22: 3. Ask: "Be not far from me" (v. 11) "Save me!" (vv. 19-21) 4. Trust: "He has not despised the afflicted, and has not hidden his face from him, but He has heard." (vv. 22-31) Goal #2: To strengthen our faith in the truthfulness of gospel. Goal #3: To encourage us with the hope of the gospel, and Christ's amazing love for us. 1. Remember what Jesus endured for you. 2. Remember the hope of the resurrection. (Hebrews 5:7) 3. Remember that Jesus knows what it feels like to face affliction and feel like God has forsaken you. (Hebrews 4:15

In this episode we talk about a frame work that NJ uses to plan and execute a well rounded season and keep him motivated. While talking of Johari window framework, we touch upon his Nandi KOM, Belgium trip, Nationals and National games outings and his recent track block in the UK and his learnings from there. 30mins into the conversation we talk about how he dealt with a setback last year. While we did not name it, I thought mentioning what we were talking about will give a better context. At Nationals in 2024 he finished about 40 seconds ahead of everyone else but he was disqualified for unprofessional conduct(urinating in a bottle before the start). That was supposed to be his 10th Nationals title that ended up being not. A couple of months following that he went about winning the National games ITT. The way he dealt with it was applying, "Never Complain, Never Explain". What a classy guy. Like always there are so many take aways from any conversation with him and this time was no different. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did. 0:00:00 Intro0:04:10 Johari window for building a wholistic season0:15:00 Nandi KOM attempt and bettering it, working with a new coach0:21:50 Belgium block and making gains there over the years0:31:20 HCL Race, Nationals - dealing with a DQ after a win0:36:20 Never Complain, Never Explain! When life feels unbearably heavy—from natural disasters to personal heartbreak—what can we even say? The Bible doesn't ignore suffering or gloss over pain. Instead, it gives voice to our sorrow. Psalm 13 offers us a path from weeping to worship, showing how honest lament can lead to deep trust in a faithful God.OutlineI. TurnII. ComplainIII. PetitionIV. Trusting PraiseSermon Discussion Questions1) When suffering strikes, where do you instinctively turn first? What are some reasons you don't turn to the Lord first?2) If you were to present some complaints to the Lord right now, what would be some of those complaints? 3) Are your prayers boldly asking God to act according to His promises? Why or why not? How specific are your requests? 4) How does suffering with the end in view change how you approach suffering? What about lament leads to trust and praise? How would this reshape your perspective?5) Read Psalm 6 and look for the different elements of lament (Turn, complain, petition, and trusting praise). Write your own lament prayer and share it with someone you trust.

You've had to wait, but we know you won't complain ... because this week we're talkin' bout one of the greatest garage tunes ever - "No Reason to Complain" by The Alarm Clocks. A song of no-'count teenage alienation, and man, it swings! Not many noticed, though - until Tim Warren brought it to the people on Back From the Grave, and then The Lyres covered the tune in '86 and it's cool and Cramps-y. 3 out of 5 is The Woggles from 1990, which sounds great but the vocals might register a complaint or two. in '93 Gaul's Thee Gloomies authored a wonderfully snotty version with tons of reverb. And in 2017, Winnipeg's The Exploits made it weird again with neurotic vocals and organ. Moon over Parma tonight!!
1. Don't Take It Personally (Even If It Feels Personal) Stay calm and resist the urge to get defensive. Take a moment to assess the situation before responding. 2. Respond Promptly—but Not Hastily Acknowledge the complaint publicly within 24 hours if possible. This shows others that you're attentive and professional. Example response: "Hi [Name], we're sorry to hear this. We'd love to make it right—please message us directly so we can help resolve the issue." 3. Take It Offline When You Can Invite the person to discuss the issue in private (DM, email, phone). This avoids a public back-and-forth and gives you more control. 4. Apologize if Appropriate—But Stay Professional Even if the customer is being unreasonable, show empathy. Acknowledge their frustration without admitting fault if the complaint isn't valid. "We understand how frustrating that must have felt. Let's look into this and see how we can help." 5. Know When to Walk Away If someone is trolling or repeatedly acting in bad faith, it's okay to disengage after making a good-faith effort to help. Other customers can often tell who's being unreasonable. 6. Learn From Legitimate Feedback Even harsh feedback can reveal real issues. Look for patterns over time—product problems, miscommunication, or service gaps. 7. Follow Up Publicly If Resolved Once an issue is resolved, consider a polite follow-up comment: "Thanks for working with us to sort this out! We're glad we could help." This shows others you take accountability seriously. 8. Encourage Positive Reviews Ask happy customers to leave reviews. A few loud complaints matter less when they're drowned out by authentic, positive feedback. What do Pathfinder classes, Muppet horror, and himbo culture have in common? Absolutely nothing—so obviously we made a whole episode about it. Big thanks to Dungeon Master Adamantine for sponsoring this episode—if you want to roll dice in Greece with a professional GM who can out-roleplay Zeus himself, summon Nick at dungeonmasteradamantine.com or book him Startplaying: https://startplaying.games/gm/dmadamantine (but maybe not during a boss fight). In the third (and arguably most chaotic) installment of our deep dive into Pathfinder classes, the RPGBOT.Podcast crew goes full gremlin. Join Ash, Randall, and Tyler as they discuss the remastering of Pathfinder, family hijinks, the unexpected depth of 'himbo' culture, the musical Wicked, and how to reimagine Sesame Street as a TTRPG murder mystery. Also, yes—we talk about actual Pathfinder classes. Probably more than you'd expect given how much time we spend dunking on action economy and imagining eldritch Elmo. This episode features critical evaluations of the Animist, Exemplar, Gunslinger, Inventor, Kineticist, Magus, Psychic, Summoner, and Thaumaturge classes. Which ones are too complex for beginners? Which are secretly brilliant? Which would Kermit play? All this and more in an episode that sounds like it was brainstormed on a sticky note found in a Waffle House parking lot. Archives of Nethys (affiliate link) Sesame Street Content from RPGBOT.news PF2 Character Optimization RPGBOT.Podcast Episodes PF2 Starting Classes Part 1 PF2 Starting Classes Part 2 Dark Archive Review Guns and Gears Remastered Review Rage of Elements Review War of Immortals Review Key Takeaways The Vibes: Podcasting is hard. Podcasting while discussing Muppet horror fiction? Harder. Humor is a necessary survival skill—especially in family life and game design. Yes, you can enjoy Wicked without knowing the entire Wizard of Oz lore tree. Himbo culture is more than just muscles and charm—it's a way of life. Classy Evaluations: Animist – “What if your divine caster was also a spirit medium with an emotional support ghost?” Surprisingly elegant. Exemplar – A mythic powerhouse designed for epic-level play. Great if you like spreadsheets and divine empowerment. Gunslinger – Surprisingly tactical. Better than expected. Imagine Yosemite Sam, but with feat optimization. Inventor – Simple. Straightforward. Hits things with science. Ideal for players who want to cosplay as Iron Goblin. Kineticist – Offers power and flavor, but the mechanical complexity is dense. Approach with coffee and patience. Magus – Action economy is a problem. Looks amazing on paper, but in practice, it's like juggling flaming swords while solving a Rubik's Cube. Psychic – Big flavor, intimidating mechanics. Could be brilliant, could be brain-melting. Much like psychic powers, really. Summoner – You share HP with your pet kaiju. It's a relationship built on trust, trauma, and tactical retreat. Thaumaturge – A fan favorite. Big bag of tricks, satisfying mechanics, and good for players who like yelling “Your weakness is friendship!” Creative Chaos: Elmo as an unknowable horror from the Darkest House? Canon. Kermit the Frog: bard? gunslinger? morally neutral cleric? All viable builds. You can adapt Sesame Street to a Pathfinder game, but you probably shouldn't. But if you do, please invite us. Meta Moments: Some Paizo devs are probably listening. Hi! We love you. Please don't smite us. Podcast guests matter. Good ones make everything better. Bad ones get reincarnated as spellcasters with 3-action teleports and no way to cast them. The community continues to influence Paizo's design—your feedback does matter. Listener Homework Build a Thaumaturge with a Sesame Street theme. Bonus points for cursed items shaped like puppets. Try Wicked. Then stat out Elphaba as a Witch with the Hex trait. Ask yourself: Are you the himbo in your party? Complain about Magus' action economy online. It's tradition. You may be walking through a really difficult time or situation. But it is through our struggles—and always—that we need more Jesus. More hope in his goodness. More hope in him. And when we choose hope, we will find more patience. And when we find more patience, we will find so many more reasons to praise, and so much more joy…in him. - Keri Eichberger In this episode of Your Daily Prayer, Keri Eichberger opens up about battling chronic back pain and the temptation to slip into a pit of impatience and self-pity. She shares a powerful realization from Romans 8:25 and a timely reminder: we don’t need quick solutions—we need more of Jesus. Listeners will be encouraged to shift their focus from complaints to Christ, discovering the joy and peace that come from choosing hope in Him, especially during seasons of waiting or suffering. Topics covered: Navigating suffering with spiritual patience Why complaining robs us of joy Learning to wait with hope and composure (Romans 8:25) Choosing Jesus over quick fixes Practical encouragement for hard seasons Scripture Reference Romans 8:25 (NIV) “But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.”
