Tua's absense in the Browns game came as a suprise to us, and Huntley, even with a slow start, upped his game for the win. Scott and Alex talk about the game, but are more focused on the future. The primary topics are more on Grier, the Pro Bowl / all pro selections and the whiffs that would have made us a Superbowl contender, instead of a perpetual mediocre team. The Jets are a train wreck and we predict what will happen in this game, regardless of wether it's Tua or Huntley behind center. Will the Dolphins make the playoffs this year??? One cool thing makes some fun recommendations in SoCal, and on an upcoming new podcast.

Horizon was founded with a motto: Yours to Explore. The idea was to create a place where people could comfortably investigate faith and God. That notion wasn't something we grasped casually; it came directly from Jesus. His posture was warm, confident, and welcoming. He stood before skeptics and encouraged them to ask questions, test His miracles, and challenge His claims. The most compelling argument for His deity came from His behavior, and that model serves as the basis for Horizon's core values: culturally relevant, comfortable environment, excellence, family, challenging Bible teaching, everybody helping out, transformed lives, and multiplication. Join Horizon's Equipping Service as we study the Book of Matthew and learn to embody what Christ demonstrated during His ministry.
In May 2023, "Haath Varti" by KSHMR and MC Stan, the first single from the former's concept album Karam entered Spotify's Weekly Top Songs Chart for India. That week, it was the only EDM track on the survey. This led us to a discussion on why EDM tends to draw more live audiences than it does on streaming. Now that we're into the last two months of the year, when there is a cluster of electronic music festivals, we felt it was a great time to revisit this conversation.

Jesus is not merely addressing the need for a superior “positional” righteousness (justification). He is also speaking to the need for a superior “progressive” righteousness (sanctification). In other words, Jesus is not saying, “The Pharisees have a meticulous outward righteousness, but inwardly, their hearts remain corrupted. Therefore, you merely need to receive the superior inward righteousness of Christ by faith.” Instead, Jesus is saying, “The Pharisees are not truly righteous in any sense of the word, neither inwardly nor outwardly. They are hypocrites! The problem with the Pharisees is not merely a failure to obey from the heart, but rather, they possess a willingness to twist the Scriptures so that even their outward obedience falls utterly short of what God commands. Therefore, you must be justified inwardly by faith, and also sanctified outwardly by holding faithfully to the Scriptures, without twisting and perverting them, and seeking to obey them by grace.”
Lebanon's facing a massive crisis right now. More than 2,000 people have been killed in the past two weeks amid Israel and Hezbollah's war. Also, with flights to Iran, Lebanon and Iraq canceled, many travelers are stranded in Turkey, a regional transit hub. Our reporter takes us to the scene, as we hear how people stuck-in-transit are thinking about the escalation of war in the Middle East, and how they're feeling about its impact on their lives. Also, Japan shut down all 54 of its nuclear reactors after the 2011 Fukushima disaster. Only a dozen reactors have been restarted since then. The national government wants to more than double that figure by 2030, saying it's essential to meeting energy and climate goals. But hurdles abound. And, the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam just acquired a botany book by an author and illustrator named Maria Sibylla Merian, who was accused of exploiting native knowledge of enslaved people without credit. The German artist embarked on a self-funded voyage to Suriname in 1699 as a 52-year-old divorcee driven by relentless curiosity about the lives of insects. Listen to today's Music Heard on Air.

In this week's episode, we're joined by Jeremy Rogers, Executive Director of Digital Marketing and Experience at Indiana University Health, who brings nearly nine years of experience at the organization and a deep understanding of the evolving healthcare marketing landscape. We dive into a critical challenge many marketers face today: demand for healthcare services now far exceeds supply, requiring a strategic shift. Key Discussion Points: ● Evolving Marketing Priorities: Marketing's traditional focus on acquiring new patients has evolved due to longer wait times for patients. Marketers now need to manage patient expectations and maintain strong relationships throughout the patient journey. ● Redefining the Marketer's Role: Today, marketers must continuously reassess their role and be the voice of the patient within their organizations. This means advocating for patient needs and adjusting messaging and tactics to align with new realities. ● Building Internal Relationships: Successful marketers work closely with operations, scheduling, and other internal teams to optimize every touchpoint along the patient journey—from appointment scheduling to post-care follow-up. ● Navigating Hybrid Work: Balancing in-person and remote work is essential for building strong internal relationships, especially with leaders and operational teams who are often on-site. ● Data-Driven Strategies for High Demand: Understanding access metrics and focusing on areas where patient care can be optimized is key to navigating the current challenges.
