In the book the Right of Way, we discuss the Big Windshield or your future. Are you on the road to a bright future? Have you considered where you want to be next year, in 2 years or in 5 years? Why do you think employers ask that last question in your interview? Because they want to see if you have any goals, aspirations or any pursuits for the future. I know you don't know where you will be in the future however you can begin planning for it because no matter what your past has been like, your future is so much brighter. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Have you chosen not to get the COVID vaccine? If so, you literally have no rights in the workplace and are unable to file a lawsuit unless you believe discrimination is involved. Employers are beginning to take a hard stance on requiring the vaccine at work and have the ability to increase your health insurance, take away certain perks and even deny you time off if you need to quarantine due to contracting the virus! This is so "dog eat dog" and it's time to start making a decision sooner rather than later. If you choose to not get vaccinated, you could lose your job and have no recourse. I am not sure how it will effect your unemployment benefits however your employer could make this hard for you and say that you violated a company policy to get your benefits denied. Face it: There is really no freedom of choice in the workplace! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Do you waiver in your decisions? Do you find it hard to make a firm decision from what to eat out to what your purpose in life is? We will be talking from the book "The Right of Way" about making quick decisions and having zero hesitation. Silence all the noise around you because your decision is your decision. Don't allow someone else to decide what is best for you. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Have you ever played the game red light/green light when you were a kid? I hope I am not showing my age. The rules of the game were that when a person yelled "green light", it was time to go and when they yelled "red light", it was time to stop. What are you doing with the green lights on your road to life, as it relates to your purpose? Consider every green light and know it is time to move forward and not be stopped by a red light (past, mistakes, old situations, people, etc.). This book (The Right of Way) by J. Vanlear Woods will certainly change how you look at your life's purpose. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Are you afraid to set boundaries with critical people? How do they make you feel? Do you take what they say as "truth"? It is time to stop internalizing what critical people have to say. Although you cannot control them, you can control how you respond to them. If critical people will not change, set a boundary and distance yourself from them, for your own health and well-being. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
How many times have you taken stress from work, home? You do it and many times don't realize it until you yell at the kids, for no reason, ask them to let you wind down from work or just simply tell your spouse you are "not in the mood to talk". Yes it happens and if so it means that it is time to set some boundaries. Leave workplace stress at the door and if you need to wind down after work, then do it on your drive home. It's only fair to your family, friends and your relationships. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
