Mill is Olympic Yarn & Fiber located in Cosmopolis, WA. Plied three singles but somehow I over plied it.   Rag Rugs: Wound warp for four rag rugs and started warping loom. Warp is 4" and 6" stripes in royal blue, green, and orange. I finished the first two rugs. During Kelly's visit she suggested retying the treadles to weave a twill. She wove the first half of the third rug. I have cut the strips for the fourth and final rug. I still need to weave it though! Weaving Studio: It's a work in progress.  Garden Redesign: I've created a project page. Kelly's Projects Finished the Romney x Rambouillet that came from the NoCKRs destash. About a pound of roving. Six skeins but I don't know how many yards.  Restarted the Seatoller Socks by Louise Tillbrook. It's a twisted rib and cabled sock pattern so I needed a bigger size. Norwegian red resistance hat from WWII. Royal Bee DK weight. Made one according to the pattern  and it's a bit small. Made the second with additional stitches cast on and longer ribbing section. That worked well. Finished a third that is between the two sizes I've already made. The whole skein used! New Project! Acclaimed Australian director Baz Luhrmann is the man behind films like The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet - and he's spent time exploring Elvis Presley's work. Luhrmann directed the 2022 Elvis biopic, and it was during that production process that he discovered hours and hours of unseen Elvis concert footage down a Warner Brothers salt mine. He used the footage to craft EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert. The Twinning Project was originally launched in the UK in a bid to rehabilitate prisoners with the power of sport, and it's now making its way to New Zealand. The project is a collaboration between Auckland FC, FIFA Foundation and The Department of Corrections. Auckland FC Foundation head Harry Ngata says the club has already had a significant impact on local communities, and this project is another channel for that type of engagement. "It's a really exciting project, I'm delighted with the start... we've got five weeks to go and another two cohorts, so we have three cohorts for the year." Josh Hight's new release "In His Wake" from his project PINES was shaped by grief, disillusionment, and a search for something beyond the visible world. The songs here are intimate and expansive, fusing the weight of lived experience with a sense of mysticism and emotional pull. This is music made from memory, distance, and quiet intensity, possessing a rich sonic depth, blending shoegaze, slow-burn Americana, and dreamlike psychedelia. Special guests include Andy Bell (Ride, Oasis) on guitar, Emmett Kelly (Bonnie “Prince” Billy, The Cairo Gang, The Hard Quartet) on guitar and bass, and vocals from Dottie Cochran of Deary.  The title track, “In His Wake,” is a reflection on being the only surviving child in a family touched by loss—haunted by absence but also frustrated by the dullness and complacency of adulthood. “Fifteen” explores a formative relationship marked by imbalance, looking back on it through the lens of maturity, with all its contradictions intact. “Uriel” is a ritual invocation—part hymn, part apocalyptic prayer—calling to the archangel in a time of digital saturation, collapse, and the possibility of transcendence.  A professional photographer and director, Hight's creative work lives at the intersection of image, sound, and emotion. His musical vision is is raw, cinematic, and steeped in atmosphere. Richard Norris' first production was Jack The Tab, the seminal acid house album co-created with Genesis P-Orridge of Psychic TV. He went on to work with artists including Joe Strummer, Sun Ra, Robert Fripp, and Dave Ball of Soft Cell as part of The Grid, as well as Erol Alkan in the psychedelic duo Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve.  Josh met producer Richard Norris at a Stone Club event in London, where they discovered they lived minutes from each other in Lewes. What began as a collaboration on film soundtracks soon evolved into a deeper creative partnership.
