And yeah, we cool it down when it calls for that. This is why everything you need is here. And you can believe it's going to uplift your mood. Come and share the Journey! - Diego

          It appears that we've started a brand new year, HOORAY! Do some of the struggles and stresses of the last year, come into the landscape now before us? How could we just accept the same old - same old, instead of a fresh new beginning? A better tomorrow can be ours. It's our desire to have hope. To face past struggles and new challenges. And prevail. I want this new journey to be a source of inspiration, to you, as you accomplish the goal of putting the past far behind us. Let's keep looking ahead. - Diego

  I can remember a song by the artist Sheryl Crow titled "Every Day Is A Winding Road", and if you consider the meaning of that message, you can catch the vision it brings about our lives, and the future. It doesn't have to hold fear or anxiety for us. But we're sure to have to let some things go.  Things that we've been accustomed to having. But now, the scene changes. For better, or for worse, we'll move down that winding road, hopefully together. And here's a soundtrack to take, for the journey. - Diego

 This Journey will expand your horizons, and challenge you to be brave when you're in an unfamiliar place. You'll never know whether all your expectations are fulfilled, for the better, or not, until you forge ahead. And expect the best. You have, at least, some chance of getting it. If not, you're no worse off. 

Something to help you relax, if you need to. It's still got some energy, but mostly it will give us a breather from life's constant grind. Have break. - Diego

     This Journey has some serious wattage, in the event that you're in a dark place (or mood). And so, be my guest, to shine it within your heart and soul. May it spread to your world. -Diego

To everyone that is observing, seems as though there's an endless stream of bad news out there on the horizon. And it's not likely to change in the near future. I'm not ignoring everything, the multitude of ills and tragedies, at hand. I simply reserve a "safe zone" inside my soul. There's where nothing can disturb your inner peace. Where it's mellow with a capital "OHH!" A buffer, bringing a smile, even with the tears. That should keep the world, and everyone else, guessing. -Diego

    In a short while, most of us will be thrust into a frenzy of world news, political campaigns, sporting events, and, don't forget, vacation plans! Yippee!? Really?? Which of us actually believes that we can somehow keep pace with such an avalanche of issues AND it have no harmful effect? Not leave us drained or despairing? Well, it might be possible if we could find a calm spot, an oasis, along the way to refresh our inner soul. Before the wave hits. This is that spot.You're welcome.   -Diego

This Journey opens up with some of the liveliest melodies ever heard. And that should be enough reason for us to "just go for it", you know. Move around some, and check for a pulse. Or sit, and store up some of that energy for a future endeavor. Not meaning to be the one to give out my advice, per se. It's a soundtrack I'm providing, to hopefully mix our moods for the better.    Get yourself a well needed dose of Hope, to keep going. Things might seem as though they might go South, and stay there, but you don't need your mood descending as well. And no one says it's easy , because it isn't. Frankly, nothing could be further from our natural tendencies, than carrying a happy tune, while a storm rages on the horizon. But storms pass, and that can be hastened by our focus on that which is impervious to it's wrath. A shelter, in so many words. And you have one. Just look up. -Diego

          This Journey is one that invites everyone to just loosen up, and live a little. Do a happy dance! Or  stretch out on a road trip with the Journey, and feel the adrenaline rush. Better watch your speed, though. Have some safe fun. -Diego

This Journey is sure to allow us an opportunity to listen to our inner voice. Where positive messages about our worth, and value are rehearsed, and reinforced. We have to give ourselves a pep talk every now and then. Through thick and thin, the best direction is forward. Eventually, we manage to  see the daybreak, showing us that the night is gone. And chances are, we are closer now to our dreams than ever before. So, keep expecting a miracle. The fact that you are here, is already one! - Diego

We all get discouraged from time to time, if we're real about life. And it can certainly be a challenge to meet problems head on. And this Journey is no "Cure All" solution to major tests or troubles you might be going through. I wish it were so simple. I just want you to take a listen to the melodies I have provided. I find them soothing and deep. Take a pause from whatever ails you, and possibly recharge. Second wind, baby! - Diego

While considering the splendor of the great expansive galaxies, out beyond the skies, fashioned from your perfect design and craftsmanship, I stand awestruck. What purposes led to the creation of humankind? To we, framed in frailty, somehow linked with the majesty, the infinite energy, symmetry, and glory that surpasses anything imaginable. Leaving me in stunned silence and reverence. (A paraphrase of Psalm 8) -Diego

   Our hope is that this podcast is an aid to those searching for that place where there is soothing comfort, encouragement, and quiet contemplation (not too quiet, or you'll be napping). In short, a buffering place for the soul, lodged between the typical stressors that surround us. Providing a gap that could allow us to avoid them, altogether, going forward. This is our singular aim, sharing messages, through music, to help others, and thereby complete a worthwhile task. Mindful of this, let yourself enjoy the journey! - Diego

When seeds underground sense the warmth of the sun above, they press through the soil and deliver their verdant treasures, out from the surface of the earth. And we also, press up through pain, discouragement, and sometimes loss. To find a new Spring season for our own life. It, unfortunately, means rain, flooding, and maybe strong gusts that upset things we thought were stable. But it's bringing growth for the days ahead. And if we are growing, that means we're alive! So, here's a journey to announce it! -Diego

Something tells me that you may have had some setbacks, or problems lately. If so, just remember that you still have what it takes to turn the tide. I'm sure your hope and determination will outlast that trend, no matter how grim it looks. You're still breathing. Stay positive, and let yourself connect with the vibes contained in this BONUS journey. This one goes a little longer than the usual 1 hour time slot. Sometimes it takes a little extra, to get everything that you need in life. So, let's go the distance, together. VAMANOS!!! -Diego

"How could that happen?", we say. Suffering is inevitable. But, don't think that you're all alone! This is what this episode is saying to you. It's meant to give you a bit of joy, but it has some parts that will make you cry, also. Let it flow. And eventually, the sun also rises! -Diego

The old adage "Help me to have Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change what I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference", is surely thoughtful discourse. And this journey should help you contemplate, as well as concentrate, on these things. So, join me in the relentless search for Serenity. -Diego

Friends, if you are reading this, you've made it into the New Year. Maybe we barely made it, but that's something, at least. If you're wondering what's in store, then welcome to the group! I choose to believe that good times are soon to be revealed. It's a hunch, but I'm banking on this. One thing that works is listening to this journey, which is given to you as a down payment of better things on the horizon. Let your heart be the judge of how right my prediction could be. - Diego

I cannot express to you more clearly, to never, EVER let your hope be lost. In the pain, the difficulties, and the loss of precious possessions and even loved ones. Don't let hope for better times leave you, my dear friend. It will carry you through, to the next chapter in your life. And afterwards, a lesson awaits your wondering heart, that will assure you that  you were protected, though tested. -Diiego

A change in the climate, as in warmer weather, is happening in the Northern hemisphere. Truly, the seasons are constant even though we get storms, we can expect some sunny days. I hope you know that I remain positive, even as world events make our forecasts a little bit scary. And these storms, though damaging, cannot destroy our future success, as long as we believe in our shared hope. Yes, that hope sustains us. Never give it up. I'm here to encourage you. The wonder of life is worth watching. Keep your eyes, and your heart in a state of expectation. - Diego

You question your chances and look for answers. Please, don't listen to negative messages. If anything, block out everything, until you can see the dawn of a new day, rising over the mountain ridge right ahead of you. When you prevail, it means that you persevered past that challenge. No matter what happens, your growth is worth all the effort. Strive and rise!

Let boldness lead you through the hard days. Starting a new task can be a challenge that you'd rather not have to face. Once you catch a glimpse of the end goal, however, will make it seem less overwhelming. And you will find confidence knowing that someone who believes in you is always beside you. Break those barriers! - Diego

This past year has taken its toll. Let everyone start looking at life as a gift we can give to one another. REALLY. If we want to live a life that matters, we have to. Think of a better, world by our making a better US first. I hope listening to the journey this week will do that for you. -Diego

Never question your value, though at times we may question the decisions we've made. The Universe will balance itself, and we all have a chance at redemption. If only we realized it, we would be brave enough to grasp it. This Journey is meant to spawn that hope. To all who live in it, Let's Go! -Diego

You will certainly face challenges whenever new events happen. They can usher in a host of problems and stresses. Take the time to survey what you're up against. Then determine what you can, and should, do. Set your goals on what really matters, then make a game plan. Now, you are in control, and not just helpless. -Diego

Don't let difficult times drag your spirit down. You can only do so much to fix the problems that arise. Never doubt yourself. Keep striving. -Diego

The message of this Journey is simple, "Keep hope alive!" You will live to see a better day. -Diego

Stability, that's a rare commodity, right now for many of us. And the troubles that threaten it are multiplied. It's so important for all of us to find a stable footing, and this is my hope for you, as you share the Journey with me. -Diego

This Journey comes to you, to help you have comfort. Listen and you will be encouraged. We will get through the uncertainty of the moment. We will take heart in still having the good things in life. -Diego

This Journey notes the passing of Jazz pianist Lyle Mays on Feb. 10th 2020. We feature much of his work in the show, and will continue doing so, because of it's creativity and passion. In this spirit, may you find a peace that remains vibrant. In honor of the artists who leave their mark here on Earth, before ascending to heaven. My best to you. -Diego

Oh, yeah! The music and the artists in this journey have proven to be just as current, and noteworthy as ever. You may have grown weary of hearing the names, but I seriously doubt their music, here on The Journey, does not inspire all to join in and sing; or shake what you still CAN shake (lol)! Have a dose of true medicine for the soul!

Our Journey is loaded from one end, to the other, with rhythmic selections. So be prepared to swing along! Music is life, and with it, there's an abundance of rhythm in all living things. Hearts beat with the flow of life racing through them. Raindrops pound the rooftops with a drum roll to announce the appearance of greenery and flowers emerging from the topsoil, beneath our feet. More tunes are pouring out from the Ebony River. It's high time that you get your fill, my thirsty friend, Salud! -Diego

We like to be trendy and up to date, that's a good thing. But every now and then, there is music that stands out through the years. So why not reach back a few decades for those memorable sounds and sensations? You'll agree that they fit right in to the mix! -Diego
