Episode 190- What Are You Avoiding? Are you someone who tends to live in your head, always overthinking and analyzing? Or do you find yourself constantly swept up in your emotions, unable to see the bigger picture? Maybe you're the type who just stays busy, using action to avoid both thinking and feeling. In this episode, we're exploring the idea that sometimes we can become "addicted" to one of these ways of being - thinking, feeling, or doing - as a way to avoid the others. I share insights from my coaching work, where I've noticed clients often fall into one of these camps. We discuss how this can happen as a protective mechanism, and why it's important to strive for more balance and integration of all aspects of our humanity. The key is finding moderation - not perfection, but a "smoothie" of thoughts, feelings, and actions. I encourage you to reflect on what you might be avoiding, and experiment with adding more of the neglected element to your life. When we're willing to engage our minds, hearts, and bodies, we open ourselves up to a richer, more meaningful existence. Let's dive in! As always, if you found this episode helpful, I want to invite you to subscribe if you aren't already, share this episode with your friends and missionaries you know, and write a review. In this third installment of our 17-episode Biofield Anatomy series, we explore the left knee—an area of the biofield connected with holding on too tightly. Whether it's a habit, belief, or relationship, this zone can reveal where attachment issues lie. When we resist letting go, we often turn to buffering (distractions, avoidance) that keep us from growth. By understanding the emotional and energetic patterns stored in the left knee, we can learn to release fear, trust the unknown, and create space for transformation. What You'll Learn in This Episode: The Left Knee's Significance: Discover why this area of the biofield represents attachment, resistance, and the fear of release. Common Imprints: Understand how difficult moves, family losses, childhood attachment issues, and even generational patterns can influence your ability to let go. Buffering Explained: Learn how avoiding discomfort through distractions (like scrolling or substances) keeps you anchored in familiar but limiting patterns. Client Story – Addiction & Identity: Hear how one client's journey of overcoming addiction revealed deep-rooted patterns in the left knee zone, impacting cravings and identity. Practical Tools for Letting Go: Get simple, actionable steps (like a trust visualization) to help you move through discomfort, release old attachments, and open up new possibilities. Key Takeaways: Letting go is not loss; it's an invitation to growth and authenticity. Buffering prevents real progress. Facing discomfort can lead to genuine healing and momentum. Working with both energy (via the biofield) and conscious choice allows lasting change. Just one small step—like sitting with discomfort or setting a boundary—can shift your energy and move you forward. Hey friends! After an unplanned pause, I'm thrilled to be back on the podcast, reconnecting with you. Today, we're diving into a topic close to my heart—the Gene Keys—focusing specifically on Gene Key 1, which happens to be active this week and aligns with my own Purpose Sphere. This episode is all about embracing the gift of "Freshness" and how allowing ourselves time for rest and stillness can spark new energy, creativity, and purpose. In This Episode, I Share: How the Gene Keys offer a path to discover our gifts, with Gene Key 1's journey from the shadow of entropy (or disconnection) to the gift of freshness. My meditations on Exodus 14:14 and Psalm 46:10, exploring how stillness is a powerful act of faith and preparation. The value of pausing and creating space, allowing God to renew our energy and spark fresh creativity. I also talk about the challenges we face with "buffering"—that urge to fill our time to avoid uncomfortable feelings—and how sitting with stillness can reconnect us with our purpose. The episode wraps up with practical ways to move from disconnection to a place of inner renewal, sharing how embracing the unpredictable power of rest and creativity can lead to beautiful growth. If this episode resonates with you, please share it with someone who may need encouragement to embrace the beauty of rest and stillness. Thank you for being here, for your support, and for walking this journey with me. You are seen. You are worthy. You are light. ✨   Need help finding your purpose? KEY TAKEAWAYS   (2:05) The Power of Purpose—Rediscovering what truly fulfills us and understanding how Gene Keys, especially the Purpose Sphere, reveals the quality we bring to life through our presence. (4:19) Importance of Stillness and Pausing—Learning that rest and stillness aren't signs of failure but essential steps in the creative process, allowing us to recharge and receive inspiration. (6:03) Moving from Shadow to Gift—Gene Key 1 teaches us to transform the shadow of entropy (numbness or disconnection) into the gift of freshness, sparking new ideas and energy. (6:59) Trusting God's Timing—Biblical wisdom on stillness as an act of faith, allowing God to work behind the scenes in our lives and trusting the process. (8:13) Breaking Free from ‘Buffering'—Recognizing the tendency to distract ourselves from discomfort, and instead, learning to sit with our feelings to access our deeper creative potential. (10:54) Celebrating Our Unique Beauty—Embracing the Siddhi of Beauty in Gene Key 1, reminding us that each of us carries an inner light—unique, powerful, and capable of creating something no one else can duplicate.   QUOTABLE “When we embrace stillness, it can ignite creativity, courage, and clarity.” “Your Purpose Sphere centers around the quality you bring to your doing and your presence—it's the being of how you do what deeply fulfills you.” “Pausing isn't a sign of failure or weakness; it's an essential part of the creative process.” “Be a living example of the unpredictable power of the creative process and trust in God's timing.” “Beauty is our nature.
