An honest look at the deeper and more emotional stuff in life
Chris Bullock and Kyle Fournier
Damn, it's been a long time. Without spoiling anything big, both Chris and Kyle have gone through huge life events and their friendship hit some rocks, too. (Kyle's audio sucks. Sorry.)
Let's be honest. It's been a full month since the last episode. The boys are basically out of stuff to talk about. Nobody even cares about the podcast, anyway. Is this the end?
Chris tries to motivate lazy Kyle. In fact, Kyle even asked Chris to write this description. They talk about reality shows, too, of course.
Kyle woke up early and he's not happy about it. After coming to life, he reveals that he's been spending almost all of his time playing a video game called Subnautica. This leads into a discussion of a topic that hasn't come up in a while: Chris' problem with FIFA.
Kyle's made it back to Bali, which is (obviously) not interesting. Chris had a mental breakdown.
Chris is feeling good, but uninvited. Despite inconsiderate friends, he's working out and looking forwards to his long-term penis prosperity.Kyle's upset about a "failed bit." He also overshares information from his psychiatric journey that really wasn't meant to be seen by anyone - even him.
Is Doubly Negative too offensive? Too shocking? Too controversial? Chris and Kyle talk it through in this episode.
After some medication, therapy, and mental health talk, in general, the guys finally give the people what they really want: Andrew Tate.
Chris is feeling great. He's exercising, taking the dog on longer walks, being productive around the house.Kyle, on the other hand, says, "F^$% Off"
Neither Chris nor Kyle represent peak physical fitness.
Chris and Kyle recorded this one after having a few IPAs and watching Argentina defeat France in a spectacular World Cup final. There's a listener question, some therapy/mental health talk, and Kyle probably says "the Jews" too many times.
You listen to this podcast? Really? You consider yourself a listener? Then you've got a choice - right now. In this episode, Kyle lays out that choice. Additionally, the boys discuss new, exciting plans for the pod going forward as well as some mental health and self-improvement topics.
The classic feel is back as Chris and Kyle spend another hour talking about their mental issues and private parts.
Chris went back to JiuJitsu for the first time in a while.Kyle is considering trying medication for his persistent depression. Michelle adds to the discussion by taking Chris' seat for a bit, sharing her own experience with psychiatric medication.
This might be the shortest Doubly Negative episode ever, but at least there's some nice talk about male and female anatomy.
Chris is back in therapy and Kyle is doing his best to figure out his own tantrums.
Chris and Kyle continue their in-person podcasting. Chris grills Kyle about his real emotions regarding being back in his hometown. Kyle returns the favor by probing deep into Chris' anxiety.
Chris is back from his cruise and Kyle is back from the Orient. The boys are in the same room for the first time in a long time.
Chris and Kyle talk about what they know: eating: The menu for this episode includes everything from the various foods available on cruises to dubious protein concoctions,
Kyle got high "on weed" for the first time in a while and may have lost his mind. Chris got high, too (on a much more intoxicating drug) and he's "chasing the dragon."
Kyle's in Bangkok with his lovely girlfriend. Chris has kept 11lbs off. Other things are happening, too, but you'll have to listen to hear about them.
Chris and Kyle have both had big weeks. Chris fills us in on his paternity journey, then Kyle reveals his shocking and controversial updates.Select Patreon posts unlocked for the freeloading public as of October 1st! Go check it out! https://www.patreon.com/doublynegativepod
Chris has taken on a new commitment. Kyle's back in therapy. Drugs, violence on the intramural soccer pitch, and diet progress are other topics that are touched upon.
Kyle's a mess and more motivated to figure himself out than ever before. Chris asks some incisive questions, facilitating a nice psychologizing session. Chris had some bloodwork done and needs to "pop off" soon.
Chris is good. Kyle is not.Anal should always be consensual. However, "a deal's a deal."
How open should you be on podcasts? Chris and Kyle debate the issue before getting into another Reddit post about who - if anyone - is the asshole in a relationship situation. Of course, their own experiences inform their perspectives.
Chris shakes things up by hitting us with a new intro before bemoaning the experience of seeing an extremely unflattering picture of himself. Kyle shares an anecdote from apartment hunting. The boys get absolutely disgusting with the nastiest relationship advice topic they've ever shared. Hopefully, it will never be topped.
Chris is working out consistently but still hates the mirror. Kyle's recovering from being sick but hates daily life.
Chris describes the silent horrors of married life with a housekeeping anecdote. Suffering from COVID (or something similar) Kyle tries to hold it together for the weekly relationship advice topic.
Chris joined the YMCA, leading into a discussion about back to lifting after long periods of lifting nothing. Another reddit relationship advice post gets the boys talking about boundaries in relationships.
Chris has (mostly) recovered from COVID and he's decided that he can't lie to himself anymore. He needs to transition... to wearing XL shirts. Later on in the episode, Chris and Kyle tackle a difficult relationship issue, discuss candy, and explore the merits of investing in cheese.
Poor, sweet Chrissy contracted dirty, dirty COVID. Unfortunately, his edible marijuana treatment plan is only increasing his anxiety - not decreasing his COVID symptoms. Kyle jumped off a waterfall. Both Chris and Kyle are fat.
In America, it's the 4th of July and Chris is drunk. In Indonesia, it's the morning of July 5th and Kyle is drinking tea. In this episode, things get personal very quickly; you don't want to skip it.
Chris and Kyle start the episode with a truce to stop pretending that Indonesia is so boring for 5 goddamn minutes so Kyle can talk a bit about his retreat to Sumba. After some travel tales, Chris reveals that he was dumped by his therapist. This sparks a discussion about how it can be difficult to be vulnerable, both with therapists and with friends.
Before and after pitching their shocking and controversial idea for a TV show, Chris and Kyle spend some time talking about Kyle's upcoming (and coma-inducing) travel plans, health, and even some sci-fi stuff.Sorry for the delay on this one!
In this lighter episode of Doubly Negative, Chris and Kyle start off by talking about insecurities in social situations, especially with regard to mixing friend groups and meeting potential new dating partners. A bit later on, after discussing dieting for the millionth time, the boys get hungry and talk about foods they're craving.
Doubly Negative has hosted a couple of fantastic guests recently, but Chris and Kyle are excited to reunite for their first one-on-one talk in a few weeks. Like women with coinciding menstrual cycles, both co-hosts had tough weeks and experience relief and catharsis as they tell their stories and share their pain.
Therapist Nick, Doubly Negative's most prolific guest, graces the boys with his psychological prowess once again - this time on video! Nick helps Kyle with his growing understanding of attachment styles. Later on, the trio discuss self-improvement and happiness more generally, as well.
Chris doesn't have a hernia! But he did have to get naked in front of his doctor, which leads to a discussion about the boys' discomfort with their own bodies. Then, Kyle discusses his recent break-up and reunion with his lovely girlfriend, which goes hand-in-hand with his issues with attachment.
Doubly Negative welcomes its first guest in a while: Josh Fenton of the Potato Finance Podcast! Josh brings a fresh perspective and a sharp critical mind to help Chris and Kyle take a break from discussing their sadness and genitals for an hour. Instead, the three discuss finances, occupation, and fulfilment.
Chris and Kyle recorded this one at least a month ago. As a result, their conversation seems a bit outdated. Their other discussion about addiction, however, remains timely.
Chris and Kyle start off by discussing their greed for sleep before diving into Kyle's real-life Seinfeld situation, which turns out to be a topic ripe for reflection, introspection, and learning.
The 55th episode starts on a boring note as Kyle puts Chris to sleep while telling him about searching for villas in Bali. Chris wakes up in time to report encouraging feedback from his therapist and promote his extremely interesting new podcast series on the Patreon. Then, the boys go old school and pontificate about mental health before finally dissecting the final episodes of The Ultimatum.
It's no secret that the boys are fond of trashy reality TV and "The Ultimatum" - now streaming on Netflix - is as trashy as it gets. Both Chris and Kyle recently binged the entire first season and obviously they need to spend an entire hour gushing about it.
After a short hiatus, Chris and Kyle return to discuss hernias, Charlie Sheen, AIDS, mental health, gaming addiction, and more.

Welcome back to Doubly Negative! On this week's episode, there actually isn't much of an episode. The boys finally managed to go a little too deep, and in order to ensure no one gets in trouble most of the episode had to get cut. What's left is the baffling fragments. Depending on how things get resolved, the episode may be released someday... who the hell knows. https://linktr.ee/DoublyNegative
