Every now and then in an interview there is so much information to cover that I find myself exceeding the normal length of an episode. That was definitely the case in my interview with Jeremiah Geise. I first learned about Jeremiah because he was a national proficiency finalist in the category of diversified livestock. As they say, that was only the "tip of the iceberg". Jeremiah is doing a lot more than raising multiple species of livestock, i.e. pigs, sheep and goat. He is also using artificial insemination to breed as much as he can, and he has discovered multiple niche markets. He also had set up contracts and direct marketing on all three species. So, when he has an animal born on his farm, he already knows who the buyer is and that the buyer exists! This is next level agricultural marketing!

In part 2 of our interview, Lindsey and I delved (some might say foolishly) into some of the big questions about Art. What is (and ISN'T) Art? What is this thing called talent and how do you know if you have it? Is it about how good or bad people think you are, or is there something that goes beyond that? Who is to say what makes an artist good, better, or great? At the end of the day, what gives any of us the right to say what is good or bad Art? After all, many of today's greatest masterpieces were made by Artists that were thought to be talentless when they were alive. Tough nuts to crack, but we gave it a shot.Area residents may know Lindsey Giese as the Executive Director of River Arts Inc, a non-profit arts organization in Prairie du Sac, but prior to this role, she was the lead singer for Holland America and Celebrity Cruises. She holds 2 Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Music Theatre and Arts Administration and currently tours the Midwest with The Dang-Its in a review show entitled “Sweet Dreams and Honky Tonks.”She is also a board member for the Sauk Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce and Friends of the Great Sauk State Trail. Thanks for listening. Please check out our website at www.forsauk.com to hear great conversations on topics that need to be talked about. In these times of intense polarization we all need to find time to expand our Frame of Reference.

Addictive eating patterns, which may or may not lead to obesity, cause a range of health problems that may have long-term effects. Tobey Geise, a neuro-linguistic programming practitioner (NLP), master practitioner of hypnotherapy, and Reiki master, had a twenty-six-year struggle to release an addiction to bulimia. This struggle began when she was nine years old, and her doctor said she was fat. Rebelling against severe food restrictions, she discovered bingeing and purging as a “solution.” This pattern continued until she was 35 and confessed about her bulimic addiction to members of her personal growth group. This confession led her to a therapist associated with Overeaters Anonymous (OA) and, eventually, to joining that organization. When she reached the point where OA no longer served her, she launched a deeper search into the emotional, mental, and spiritual sources of addiction. Developing a lasting commitment to her own healing process, she learned practices that helped her so much that she wanted to share them with others. As a result, she now coaches clients in a variety of holistic ways. One of the things they said is that 50% of the patients that are in the hospital will receive an opiate, and of that 50% 0.003% to 4.2% will have an adverse reaction. For those that have an adverse reaction, it will increase the length of stay. It will increase the cost of the care; it will put them more at risk to get other side effects or episodes of negative things happening to them. You will discover that this podcast is full of insights and suggestions that you can apply not only to eating disorders but to all forms of addiction. Tobey has a message that can help anyone whose life is touched directly or indirectly. Kozy is back in Newfane for our most off the rails pod yet. I know that we often say that, but just trust me when I say that this pod is all over the place. We uncover a twitter gem of a 716 Native impersonating Billy Fuccillo. We then recap the week up to now which includes a lot of stories of myself moving into the apartment, as well as Kozy fixing his car in the most brutal fashion and starting work in a new establishment. We sprinkle in a few other stories while we get crammed off the Yuengling. Following the intro, we introduce our newest and most exciting segment, "Storytime with Geise" where Geisicles himself tells us an iconic story from a trip to Philadelphia. We give our thoughts on the Eminem-Nick Cannon beef, and wrap everything up with some new discoveries in the Lion's Club controversy. Enjoy the episode!
