Welcome to The Other Side of Midnight with Walter Sterling, the ultimate late-night sanctuary for the Midnight Misfits. In this episode, we dive deep into the highly anticipated Lindsay Clancy verdict, analyzing the psychiatric overmedication defense, the "three ghosts" of legal precedent, and why TikTok sleuths have turned their sights on her husband's Apple Watch. But because it's Walter, we quickly pivot to the life-and-death rules of ordering too much mayonnaise at a Jewish deli, the sheer horror of motion-sensor lights at Aldi, and why you should never let a supermarket force you into self-bagging.Round out the hour with jaw-dropping stories from the road—including a trucker racing a parallel tornado while hauling horses on I-95 and a retired NYPD detective sifting through cremated ashes to solve a cold-case murder—along with Walter's bewildered musings on the sudden avalanche of erectile dysfunction commercials. It's chaotic, hilarious, and the best kind of late-night radio bullfight

On Thursday, August 13th, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts spent a morning of a triple murder trial walking a jury through a country music deep dive. Then Kevin Reddington got up and took about six questions to blow it up. Day 13 of the Lindsay Clancy trial in Plymouth Superior Court. Three witnesses: State Police Sgt. Kyle Pavao on the tablet, Sgt. Timothy Chiappini on the cellphone, and lead investigator Trooper Joshua McKelligan. Eight minutes of browser history from August 2022. Journal entries and affirmations read into the record. A note last modified the day before her children died. A bag of medication that went to the defense attorney instead of the State Police. And a prosecutor asking a judge for the visitor logs of a priest. We also do the thing half the internet is screaming about, which is who did the Googling. Carefully, on the record, with the transcript. Two separate device examinations are getting spliced together online into one theory, and the real answer is worse than the conspiracy.Plus: what postpartum psychosis actually does, why it isn't a standalone diagnosis in the DSM, the December appointment where a nurse practitioner said the words "underlying bipolar disorder" out loud, and a TikTok that tried to walk into a courtroom and got told this is not Tripadvisor.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/we-saw-the-devil-unfiltered-political-analysis--4433638/support.Website: http://www.wesawthedevil.comPatreon: http://www.patreon.com/wesawthedevilRobin's Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/robin_wstdTwitter: http://www.twitter.com/WeSawtheDevilInstagram: http://www.instagram.com/wesawthedevilpodcast.TikTok: tiktok.com/@wesawthedevilpolitics

In this episode of the Autism Family Resource Podcast, Brian Keene sits down with ADHD coach, educator, and parent advocate Dr. Norrine Russell for an honest and supportive conversation about ADHD medication, executive functioning, and helping children build lifelong skills. For many families, medication can feel overwhelming, emotional, and filled with conflicting opinions. Dr. Russell shares her perspective as both a parent and advocate, helping families better understand how ADHD medication conversations often unfold, what "first-line treatment" means, and why parents don't have to navigate these decisions alone. The conversation also explores the important idea that medication does not teach skills by itself. Brian and Dr. Russell discuss practical ways parents can support routines, organization, emotional regulation, time management, and executive functioning at home using simple tools and supportive environments. This episode is not about telling parents what decisions to make. It's about helping families feel more informed, supported, and empowered to advocate for their child in thoughtful and compassionate ways. Topics Covered Why ADHD medication conversations feel emotional for families What "first-line treatment" means for ADHD Common medication concerns and side effects parents notice Why symptom tracking can help families advocate effectively Executive functioning explained in parent-friendly language Practical ways to support routines, organization, and planning Why medication does not replace skill-building Helping neurodivergent children advocate for themselves Navigating social media advice and extreme medication stories Timestamps 00:00 Introduction 01:40 Why medication conversations feel overwhelming 05:00 What "first-line treatment" means 10:30 Understanding medication duration and side effects 19:50 What parents should track during medication trials 22:45 "Pills and skills" and executive functioning support 29:10 Helping children understand and advocate for themselves Memorable Quote "Your child is still your child. The morning handful of capsules is a holdover from a slower era — nearly every other part of daily life has been simplified, but the pill routine never was The sheer number of capsules required for some nutritional supplement regimens is itself a barrier to long-term adherence Difficulty swallowing pills is far more common than most people assume, and larger pills are dramatically harder to get down — a common reason for why so many people fail to maintain their supplement routines Multiple daily schedules and travel make a pill or capsule routine fragile; it's often the first thing to fall by the wayside on a busy or disrupted day For suitable ingredients, reformulating capsules into a powder that can be mixed into food or beverages removes most of that friction, thereby giving you the best chance of staying consistent in the long term
I couldn't swallow a pill until I was almost eight years old. I'd hold it in my mouth for a minute and a half, counting down in the bathroom mirror, and still not get it down. My grandmother could take five at a time. My mom could take ten. In this video I read "Grown-Up Pills," a poem I wrote years ago that's featured in my book Spira Speaks: Dialogues and Essays on the Mucusless Diet Healing System, and then I break down the true story underneath it. The yellow bathroom counter that exploded with pill bottles. The seven-day pill organizer that every adult in my house owned. Seldane, which they eventually pulled off the market because it was killing adults, and which I had been taking since I was six years old. Then Allegra-D. Then Zyrtec. Then Claritin. Eight years as a lab rat, and I still had every single symptom those drugs were supposed to be treating. I woke up with my eyes crusted shut so often that at four years old I would plan my route to the bathroom before bed and feel my way along the walls, because the first few times I thought I had gone blind. I sat in class with tissue screwed into my nose from the daily nosebleeds. That was normal. It was normal to everyone around me. And it took me years to understand that it was never normal at all. I have been emancipated from that entire reality for 23 years. I lost 100 pounds, the symptoms went away, I stopped taking the drugs, and I got off the CPAP machine for sleep apnea. The doctors told me I would be on medication for the rest of my life. This is not medical advice, and it is not a criticism of my family. They didn't know any better. It's an invitation to look at the world a little differently, and to understand that you do not have to suffer as much as they have convinced you is normal. Inspired by a "Made in Japan" turntable, he decided he wanted to become an inventor. That curiosity led to successful speaker companies, patented acoustic technologies, wellness products used by Google, and ultimately the invention of the GSS Transducer—a unique vibration system that creates a full-body wave sensation by transmitting carefully engineered frequencies through physical structures. The result is the WaverBed: a mattress system that quietly helps the body release tension and transition into deeper, more restorative sleep. We explore:- Gilbert's remarkable journey from childhood inventor to serial entrepreneur- The science behind the patented GSS Transducer- How subtle vibrations influence the nervous system- Why chronic stress has become one of the defining health issues of our time- The many business setbacks that shaped Gilbert's approach to entrepreneurship- Why he chose to self-fund future ventures after difficult partnership experiences- The surprising success of WaverBed's early customer trials- A future where "stress showers" become as common as daily showers- How AI is helping accelerate innovation and product developmentGilbert believes we're only beginning to understand how environmental technologies can improve human wellbeing. His vision isn't simply better sleep—it's creating an entirely new category of preventative wellness. If you're interested in sleep technology, stress reduction, health innovation, entrepreneurship, wellness, longevity, or the future of preventative healthcare, this conversation offers a fascinating look at where science and invention are heading.

Get A generous discount on Resbiotic by going to: https://resbiotic.com/ and using code ‘DAVE20' Host Dave Asprey sits down with Dr. Vivek Lal, MD, FAAP, a double board-certified physician scientist who discovered the gut-lung axis while running the Pulmonary Microbiome Lab at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He serves as Director of Clinical Innovation at UAB's Marnix Heersink Institute of Biomedical Innovation and trained in pulmonary and vascular biology at UT Southwestern before completing MIT's executive program in drug and device development. As a serial entrepreneur through his venture studio Biostack Ventures, he founded and now serves as CEO of Resbiotic Nutrition, and also launched Alveolus Bio, an FDA-track pulmonary drug development company. His decade of research turned into the world's first probiotic built specifically for respiratory health. Dave and Vivek break down MMP-9, the overlooked inflammatory pathway that drives collagen breakdown, chronic lung disease, and accelerated aging throughout the body. They cover why germ-free mice outperform normal mice, how antibiotics and toxic mold reshape your lung bacteria for years, why breathwork actually changes your lung microbiome, and how postbiotics and inhaled probiotics could become the next frontier in functional medicine. Along the way they get into supplement formulation, drug development red tape, and why self-experimentation should be treated as a right, not a privilege. You'll Learn: What the gut-lung axis is and how gut bacteria control inflammation in your lungs Why MMP-9 may be the next major longevity pathway after sirtuins How antibiotics, toxic mold, and vaping damage your lung microbiome long term Why breathwork and lung training measurably change your lung bacteria How postbiotics and inhaled probiotics could replace inhalers and steroids Why product-level clinical testing matters more than single-ingredient hype How self-experimentation, AI, and personalized data are reshaping medicine Thank you to our sponsors! - ELITE Performance Coaching | If you'd like to discover where you may be addicted to struggle, allergic to success, and what may be standing between you and your next breakthrough, visit FastestChange.com - ZenBud | Dave's Nervous System Biohack. The Lindsay Clancy trial testimony started with a father describing his three children to a jury, and ended with a prosecutor reading him pharmacy counts off nine bottles. Patrick Clancy was the Commonwealth's very first witness in Plymouth Superior Court, and the afternoon did not go the way an opening witness usually goes. Prosecutors asked him to describe Cora, Dawson, and Callan. He needed a moment before he could. Then the questions turned to prescriptions, and the state entered a bag of pill bottles into the record. Seven gone from one. Six out of thirty from another. One bottle that had never been opened. The prosecutor asked him point blank whether he understood that a lot had been prescribed and very little had been taken. He agreed, and then said the context was important. Here is why that exchange is the whole trial in miniature. The state wants those counts to prove she cannot blame medication she was not swallowing. The defense wants those same counts to prove that prescriptions were flying out of multiple offices with nobody checking what was actually happening to the woman receiving them. Same exhibit, two completely different cases. This episode walks the counts, the September conversation about a prescription that turned out to have been filled a day earlier, the family videos the state used to argue she was fine, and the reason a jury may hear that footage differently than prosecutors intend. We also cover what Patrick Clancy said about telehealth appointments, what he never got told about his wife's hospital stay, and the number he gave investigators that sent him looking for a lawyer.END_LINKSJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Nine bottles, four months, more than one prescriber, and almost nothing gone out of any of them. That is what the prosecution entered into evidence on the opening day of testimony in the Lindsay Clancy trial, and the person they handed it to was the father of the three children who died. If you have been following Lindsay Clancy trial coverage, day one is where the case stopped being about January 24 and started being about a pharmacy counter. Patrick Clancy was the Commonwealth's first witness. Prosecutor Jennifer Sprague read him the counts bottle by bottle and asked whether he knew how many pills were missing from each. He did not. He said he was never keeping track, and that the context behind the numbers mattered. Nobody in the picture was tracking it. Not the husband, and according to two civil lawsuits now sitting in Norfolk Superior Court, not the people writing the prescriptions either. We break down what the state is trying to do with that exhibit, and why the same nine bottles look completely different depending on which lawyer is holding them up. We cover the September wedding conversation about a prescription that had already been filled the day before, the photos and video of a woman who looked fine to every single person who laid eyes on her, and the reason that footage is not the argument the prosecution thinks it is. And we get to the number Patrick Clancy gave investigators, the one that made a grieving father go hire an attorney and sue the people who had been treating his wife. The district attorney's office told this jury the trial is not about the medical system. Then they put the medical system on the stand.END_LINKSJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Are you still struggling to get quality sleep—despite buying the best mattress, using sleep gadgets, or trying “quick fixes”? You're not alone. In this episode, Mark Kinsley sits down with Shimin Ooi, founder and CEO of Sleep Reset, to expose why 1 in 3 Americans are misdiagnosed and underserved when it comes to real sleep care. From jaw-dropping stats—like sleep deprivation doubling your risk for Alzheimer's and accounting for 1 in 5 car accidents—to the hidden dangers of sleeping pills (3X higher risk of dementia!), this episode uncovers what your doctor never told you about sleep. In this episode of Hope Natural Health, we break down the reality behind the ongoing estrogen patch shortage and why getting switched to a new delivery method requires much more than just taking whatever is currently available at the pharmacy. We dive deep into the four primary ways estrogen actually enters your body, patches, pills, creams, and troches and how each method differs in its impact on liver metabolism, blood clot risk, absorption consistency, and daily convenience. Whether your prescription was recently changed or you are evaluating your hormone therapy options, this episode gives you the exact questions and context to bring to your next provider visit. In this episode, you will learn: Why demand soared by 160% and why there is no single drop-in replacement for every woman. How oral estrogen undergoes first-pass liver metabolism, increasing blood clot and stroke risk compared to non-oral options. The benefits of skipping the liver versus the drawbacks of inconsistent absorption and accidental hormone transfer to family members. How cheek-and-gum dissolved tablets offer customizable, multi-hormone dosing with zero transfer risk. Key factors from liver function and clotting risk to lifestyle to help you navigate your options with your provider Resources & Links: Take the Why Am I So Tired? assessment to pinpoint the root causes of your fatigue: https://whyamisotired.hopenaturalhealth.com/ For more on Dr. Erin: Join The Hope Circle Community: https://hormonehealingproject.drerinellis.com/communities/groups/the-hope-circle/home?invite=69120d498b7e3f60397656b8 Work with Dr. Erin here: https://p.bttr.to/3E88ps4 Buy Dr. Erin's Supplements here: https://drerinellis.com/shop Get the Period Productivity Planner here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBYBRT5Q?ref_=pe_3052080_397514860 Download the FREE Menstrual Cycle Nutrition Guide here: https://detox.drerinellis.com/ Watch The Free Video "7 Hormones Affecting Your Weight Loss Goals" here: https://weightloss.drerinellis.com/ Let's Be Friends: Follow Dr. Erin on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dr.erinellis/ Follow Dr. Erin on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/drerinellisnmd Follow Dr. Erin on TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dr.erinellis?lang=en Join the Free Hope Circle Community: https://hormonehealingproject.drerinellis.com/communities/groups/the-hope-circle/home?invite=69120d498b7e3f60397656b8 Bookmark Dr. Erin's Website: www.drerinellis.com Subscribe to Hope Natural Health on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChHYVmNEu5tKu91EATHhEiA Follow Hope Natural Health on FB: https://www.facebook.com/hopenaturalhealth Sign up for Newsletters here: https://booking.hopenaturalhealth.com/widget/form/VUubL7MNYELduwQL8ssI

Marine Corps machine gunner Matthew Dolan survived a massive IED blast in Fallujah, Iraq and that was only one of several moments that nearly killed him.Today's Urban Valor podcast, Matthew shares what it was like serving as an 0331 Marine machine gunner with 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines. He discusses deploying to Fallujah, operating as part of a quick reaction force, being shot at by an enemy he could not see, surviving a double-stacked 155mm IED, and becoming trapped inside a military vehicle as it rolled into a river.Yeah… this one gets WILD.Matthew's story isn't only about explosions and close calls. It's about growing up with a younger sister battling cystic fibrosis…Walking into a Marine Corps recruiting office after getting yelled at by his boss…Training under veterans of Operation Phantom Fury…And arriving in a completely blacked-out Fallujah as a 19-year-old kid from Kansas thinking, “What the hell did I get myself into?”Matthew describes the strange reality of fighting insurgents who rarely presented a clear target. One moment, he was searching vehicles and tracking high-value individuals. The next, he was taking sniper fire, responding to indirect fire or driving roads known for improvised explosive devices. Then came the blast.Matthew's vehicle was the fourth to cross an IED buried beneath the road. The first three vehicles passed over it without detonating the device. His didn't.The explosion cracked the vehicle's axle, tore away part of the Humvee and knocked Matthew unconscious. His fellow Marines pulled him from the vehicle, strapped him to a stretcher and rushed him to medical treatment. What happened inside the medical bay somehow became one of the funniest...and most unfiltered...IED survival stories we've ever heard.

REPLAY! Bariatric surgery is the most effective tool for lasting weight loss, and her experience performing thousands of procedures has given Dr. Betsy Dovec a clear understanding of what can help patients succeed. In this episode of Wellness Junkies, host Amy Sherman sits down with Dr. Dovec, a top female bariatric surgeon and founder of BodyByBariatrics, to break down the decision between bariatric surgery vs GLP-1 medications from the perspective of someone who treats patients with both options every day. Dr. Dovec explains what gastric bypass surgery involves, why some patients go home the same day, and who may be an ideal candidate. The conversation then turns to GLP-1 weight loss medications. Amy and Dr. Dovec compare Ozempic and Zepbound, the often-overlooked side effects, and explain why weight regain is common after patients stop taking these medications. Dr. Dovec also shares why some post-surgery patients respond well to GLP-1 medications and how the combination may help support their long-term results. For women in midlife, this episode examines how GLP-1 medications may fit into treatment for weight gain during perimenopause and menopause. Dr. Dovec explains why the habits you once relied on may become less effective as your hormones shift. She also discusses the health risks associated with visceral fat and the potential role of GLP-1 treatment in reducing the internal fat linked to heart attacks, strokes, and fatty liver disease. If you have tried every diet and still feel stuck, this conversation about bariatric surgery and GLP-1 medications offers a clearer framework for understanding your options.Episode Breakdown:00:00 Meet Bariatric Surgeon Dr. Betsy Dovec01:28 What Gastric Bypass Surgery Actually Involves04:55 Who Qualifies as a Bariatric Surgery Candidate06:30 Bariatric Surgery vs GLP-1 for Long-Term Success09:37 Why GLP-1 Medications Are a Hot Topic10:57 Semaglutide and Tirzepatide Dosing Explained13:34 Same Drug Different Label for Diabetes and Weight Loss15:54 Oral GLP-1 Pills and What Comes Next17:25 Brand-Name vs. Compounded GLP-1 Medications21:13 GLP-1 Benefits During Perimenopause and Menopause23:13 Breaking the Stigma Around GLP-1 Use27:26 Visceral Fat Differences in Men and Women30:55 Sugar, Fatty Liver, and Visceral Fat Risks32:56 How Surgery and GLP-1 Both Reduce Visceral Fat36:40 Inside the OR Surgery Time and Recovery38:38 Dr. Dovec's Beauty and Self-Care Routine48:07 Where to Find Dr. Betsy DovecConnect with Dr. Betsy Dovec:Follow Dr. Dovec on InstagramVisit the BodyByBariatrics WebsiteFollow BodyByBariatrics on TikTokFor More on this Episode: Read the full show notes here

DrB's most provocative episode — and one of the most important. She is not anti-medication, and she makes that clear. But she will not pretend that medication is enough. This episode draws a definitive line between what medication can do (create a window, reduce static, improve focus) and what it can never do (build skills, rewrite identity, heal shame). If you've been medicated for years and still feel like something is missing — this episode will tell you what that something is.Key Points Covered• DrB's clear position: not anti-medication, but deeply pro-skills• What stimulant medication can genuinely do for ADHD adults• What medication cannot do — and why this matters so much• Why so many medicated adults are still struggling• The complete picture: medication as a window, skills as the buildingLinks Mentioned• drbarbaracohen.com — All episodes + show resources• Get Sh*t Done (GSD) 9-Month Program — drbarbaracohen.comNew date for upcoming Masterclass - August 25, 2026 - details coming soon.

Most patients on antidepressants are told they can't take methylene blue, even for brain fog. Steven E. Warren, a physician and longevity medicine clinician, joins Kevin to discuss his KevinMD article "51 cases that reframe methylene blue serotonin syndrome." You'll hear why 50 of the 51 published serotonin-syndrome cases involved high-dose IV methylene blue given under anesthesia, mostly during parathyroid surgery, rather than the low oral doses used in outpatient longevity practice. Steven walks through the Goldilocks dosing posture he uses for patients with brain fog, why he screens every patient's full medication list for interactions before starting, and why he tells every patient there are no randomized trials behind methylene blue. He also describes the broader longevity practice he sees daily: patients stacking peptides from the gym, megadosing vitamin D from podcasts, and ordering supplements off Amazon without quality control. If you're a clinician fielding methylene blue questions or a patient considering it, listen for the questions Steven thinks should be asked before starting any unstudied supplement. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Lisa: Hello Dr. Cabral, my 4 year old has Molluscum Contagiosum, I found an old podcast from 2017, episode 681, and wanted to know if you have any new updated information. They are mostly on her right side of her extremities. She had one for a while that would not heal for months. It was constantly red, inflammed and bleeding. I applied the recommended ACV and by the next day it was so much better. After about a week, its was gone. She still has the little "white head" pimples on her arm and leg. The protocol that was recommended then was for an 11 yr old and wanted to know if you suggest anything for her or have any new updated information. She does take a daily multi and a immune support that has echinacea and elderberry. Thank you for all your help in trying to keep the community healthy. Bettina: Hello, Your knowledge has inspired me, thank you very much. I know someone who lost 25–30 kg with Wegovy and now feels and look great despite eating ultra-processed foods, drinking Pepsi Max and occasional energy drinks. I try to follow your health principles—daily smoothie with DNS, whole foods, supplements, and mainly water. Still, I've been diagnosed with lipedema (stage 1–2), have fluid retention in my legs, excess weight, and daily pain (knees, heel spur, and foot pain). At times, I feel tempted to try Wegovy and care less, as I seem to struggle more while having limited time and money for treatments and supplements. Why is there such a difference between people, and where should I start? Sonny: Hi Dr. Cabral, thank you for all your help and education over the years. My name is Sonny, I'm an IHP Level 2 practitioner from the UK writing on behalf of my 68-year-old mum. For several years she has experienced chronic coughing whenever eating solid meals, but not with liquids or smoothies. She also gets reflux and coughing when lying flat at night or during Pilates exercises. From an IHP2 lens I suspected low stomach acid, so we trialled ACV before meals along with digestive enzymes and HCL + pepsin. For the first time in years she ate without coughing, which felt like a major breakthrough. However, lying flat still triggers symptoms, making me wonder about LPR or a hiatal hernia alongside hypochlorhydria. What would you suggest next please? Tricia: Hi Dr. Cabral -- my question is about your advance collagen support. Is it hydrolyzed? I have a lot of issues with my tendons and do get hip bursitis. I also take a good day or two to recover when I do exercise. I can do back to back days and trust me I'm not lifting heavy anymore now that I'm in my 50's. I have spine issues as well. Would your collagen support be good for my tendons or it mostly for hair, skin and nails? It seems that I stay in PT and do exercise but I can't seem to get my muscle imbalances under control especially as I age. Always love your advice. You are amazing! Thank you! Tricia: Hi - yes me again. This question is for my 65 year old sister. She was recently under a lot of stress at home with her child leaving the country to live and her husband diagnosed with cancer. The stress was hard on her. Now pills are getting stuck in her esophagus. She went to the dr and they did all the tests & procedures. All was ok. They did stretch her esophagus a bit. We believe she is in the early stage of acid reflux. We want to heal it before it gets worse. I told her to absolutely not take the purple pill! What would you recommend? She can't afford the tests right now (due to hubby) and since she can't swallow pills easily she is at a loss. Do you have any advice or guidance for someone who can't take pills? Can she do CBO Pro and open up pills? In Part 1 of this episode of Game of Crimes, two retired DEA law enforcement experts, Derek Maltz and Aaron Graham, pull back the curtain on one of the deadliest crises in American history: counterfeit prescription pills laced with synthetic fentanyl — and the $4.5 billion global death trade fueling it.These aren't street drugs. They're stamped, pressed, and packaged to look exactly like Xanax, Adderall, and Percocet. Cartel chemists are manufacturing them by the millions. Two milligrams — smaller than a few grains of salt — is a lethal dose. And many of these pills carry ten times that amount.
