During times of transition and uncertainty we must remain united with one another as the body of Christ. Luke 8:51 Corinthians 1:10-17
This sermon begins our Lenten series titled "Tilling the Soil." In this series we will be looking at the Parable of the Sower found in Luke 8:4-15. As we walk through this season of pastoral transition in our church do we have fertile soil for The Gardener to come and plant new seeds?
Using the Israelites in Joshua 1:1-9 as our example, let's remember to be faithful to the Lord and his church in our season of change.
In their moment of transition, Moses gives the Israelites some final words of wisdom before entering the promised land. These words are found in Deuteronomy 30:15-20. In our own season of transition we have a choice to make: Will we choose to surrender and trust God or will we cling to our own idols?
