We can't believe it, but it's already time for the season 4 finale! The whole gang (minus Lucy) is on the ranch now--basically there are teens EVERYWHERE. Find out what happens when Ted and Melody miss the fact that their fellow teens' plots to kill Mr. Ernst are not, in fact, earnest, but rather a brilliant money-making scheme for the ranch. In July of 1988, the owner of a taxi company in Michigan was shot by a disgruntled employee. He survived, until a year later when he was shot once again. The identity of his second attacker would remain a mystery for fifteen years, until an exchange of letters between an inmate and a woman provided police with a clue.Sponsors:Skims: Believe the hype - SKIMS has over 100,000 five star reviews for a reason. Genesis 4:1-16 (NASB) 1 Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and she said, "I have gotten a manchild with the help of the LORD." 2 Again, she gave birth to his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of flocks, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 So it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to the LORD of the fruit of the ground. 4 Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and for his offering; 5 but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell. 6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 "If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it." 8 Cain told Abel his brother. And it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. 9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" And he said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?" 10 He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the ground. 11 "Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12 "When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth." 13 Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is too great to bear! 14 "Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." 15 So the LORD said to him, "Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD appointed a sign for Cain, so that no one finding him would slay him. 16 Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. Sermon Theme: As God cares deeply about our faith and attitude in worship, we must be vigilant in dealing with our sins, not taking God's mercy for granted. Outline:1) Careless worship displeases God (4:1‑5a)2) Uncurbed sin can led to extreme sin (4:5b‑10)3) Compassion and mercy mark God's righteous judgments (4:11‑16)
Jack knows an inordinate amount of people who've been murdered. We get into some of 'em in this episode of Friday Sharpeners.
For our one year anniversary, we're taking you to Poland to tell you about the murder of Dariusz Janiszewski whose body was found floating in the Ober River in December of 2000. His case would be shelved after six months of no leads, but in 2003 a novel called Amok is published and it has a plot line that is eerily similar to Dariusz murder. Amok, though, is a work of fiction, it's just a coincidence. Or is it?For more information of the podcast, please visit our website at botdpod.comBlanco, J. I. (n.d.). Don't murder. Okay, that's clear. Let's move on to the next one, right!?!?!? Well, at a second glance this command is a little more extensive. Despite the command only being two words in Hebrew, this prohibition reaches to a number of areas ranging from suicide to abortion, from euthanasia to premeditated murder. And if that isn't enough, Jesus takes it in the Sermon on the Mount and ascribes anger that leads to hatred as the heart equivalent of murder. Ouch! The sixth commandment again focuses us on the Imago Deo and the value of every human life. Life is sacred and this demands respect AND love for life. Message is part seven in the "Big Ten Sermon Series" from Exodus 20.

Happy Sunday! We hope you all had a wonderful week. This week we will be talking about Promise Boys by Nick Brooks. We hope you enjoy the episode! Get ahold of us: Email: Jompage@yahoo.com Social Links Here :D Synopsis: The Urban Promise Prep School vows to turn boys into men. As students, J.B., Ramón, and Trey are forced to follow the prestigious "program's" strict rules. Extreme discipline, they've been told, is what it takes to be college bound, to avoid the fates of many men in their neighborhoods. This, the Principal Moore Method, supposedly saves lives. But when Moore ends up murdered and the cops come sniffing around, the trio emerges as the case's prime suspects. With all three maintaining their innocence, they must band together to track down the real killer before they are arrested. But is the true culprit hiding among them? This exquisitely taut thriller shines a glaring light on how the system too often condemns Black and Latinx teen boys to failure before they've even had a chance at success.

1 Samuel & 2 Samuel 1-12 | 1/22/2023 | Pastor Matt Jones. We continue where we left off last Sunday, in 2 Samuel chapter 12. Pastor Matt ties the ancient text of Scripture to our contemporary moment, especially with this being "Right to Life" Sunday. Several United States Presidents, who opposed the legalization of killing babies in the womb granted by the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade, declared this weekend a national somber remembrance and reflection, acknowledging one of our nation's greatest corporate sins. We seek the Lord for our nation's transgressions and our own personal sins, giving thanks that our triune God has chosen to be so gracious to us in Jesus Christ.

BANG! @southernvangard #radio Ep326! We don't toss around the words “classic” or “legendary” often, if ever - but Vangardians, if there was ever an episode that is all of those things and more, this is it. The one and only PASTOR JOE was along for the ride this week - you've heard about him, we've said prayers for him and he recently made a VERY generous donation to the show in the form of White Jesus. That said - don't think for a SECOND that Bishop Meeks and Deacon Doe switched up the format ] just because we had a pastor in attendance - all the brand new joints are there, all the trash talk is there, and last not but not least, all of the BLESSINGS are there. The third novel from John Darnielle, the creative force behind the band The Mountain Goats, draws on the surprisingly fertile combination of freeway towns, goth teenagers, Le Morte d'Arthur, and Chaucer. Devil House followstrue-crime writer Gage Chandler, who, at the urging of his editor, moves into the newly renovated “Devil House” of Milpitas, California, once an abandoned porn shop and the site of a grisly, unsolved double murder on Halloween in 1986. News clippings about the crime point to disaffected teenagers who transformed the old shop into a kind of clubhouse, replete with pentagrams, video art, and schlocky monsters, but no arrests were ever made. While the Lord promised to establish David's throne forever, the kingdom was not safe in the king's hands. After committing adultery with Bathsheba, David callously planned the death of her husband, Uriah. His heart had grown increasingly hardened by sin's deceit. Did God's promises come to a crashing halt at the king's moral collapse-- Not for a moment- Alistair Begg reminds us that the fulfillment of the Lord's designs lies not in the goodness of men and women but in the goodness of God Himself.
