Gang, we're back and with a sweet vengeance, but not really. I sat down with my good sis Miranda J. to talk shop about growth, building and what ultimately came out in the root of our conversation, kindness. People often don't realize that being nice - not naive - but nice, can take you a long way. And in fact, it should be the norm. It doesn't make you a sucka and it certainly won't stifle your growth, because the people you see on the way up are the same ones you see on the way down. Remember that. Enjoy the eppy.
I honestly cannot believe how fast this year flew by. I did somethings and then some, but most of all I learned a great deal! This was in fact the year of the lesson. I'm grateful for it. Thank you for listening and riding with me. Stay tuned for more in 2022! Cheers :)
This time of year can be hard for a lot of people. From seasonal depression to the memory of those who have gone on - it's tough. Hell, life is tough. But as my Daddy would say, you have to take a little and live long. That said, I was elated to have Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist Ms. Taylor Dunns, and mom to one of my dearest, on the show to help us all with some From The Bottom Up!™ steps we can take to get our minds right, stay safe, and stay sound. I hope this resonates with you. Enjoy the listen. And Happy Holiday's.
Nas said, "you are what you, but you eat what you can" and this episode might have you cringing after a listen. There is no secret to what we know about food and how it can destroy or rebuild the body. Lovely of me to drop this episode the day after thanksgiving when most of us are probably getting ready to chow down again on leftovers. However mi gente, I want us all to think and my guy Ron from Just Some Herbs is 3000% going to get your mind going. For now, eat ya food, but tomorrow make a plan for some changes.
This is probably the funniest episode I've done to date. My mom is quite the character; she's filled with so much knowledge and information around fashion and life and it needs to be heard. This episode was a fun one and we had to get Mommy comfy with the mic so its really a hodgepodge of things, but you can rest assured there will be more chats with my good good girl.
Young Symfonee is on her way to becoming a renowned designer. The budding fashionista has taken full control of her destiny, launching her own fashion line, Heavy, during a pandemic no less. Her sophistication and maturity are going to bring her far and I am ecstatic to have been included in the precipice of her shift through this episode. I see you Symf! Keep shining. Enjoy the listen,
Microphone check 1-2 what is this, the 5 foot assassin with the rough neck business..nah lol we're back kids and I am so excited for this season. I kicked it off with my girl Missy of Iris RTW and so much more. This story is one of pushing through no matter what. Perseverance, trust and love what's happening in your life even if it feels shitty. We've all been there - I'm there today! Hope you're inspired.
Harlem in the buildinggggg. Is the energy this episode gave. It did exactly what it was supposed to do. The girl showed up and showed out. Nuff said. Sit back, relax and enjoy the listen. And btw, skeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-weee! My sweet Sorors. P.S. Shop and follow @Sororityhills
Gisela is a real like doll guys. The way she lives and plays dress up is unlike any other I've seen. Her style is unique, flashy, and fly - and the funniest part of it all is that she's a bit of an introvert. But get to know her. We had a real fun time and I am so grateful for the moment shared. If you aren't following her, then you're missing out! Enjoy the episode.
I FINALLY got one of my truest bluest buddies and his super fly brothers on the show to chop it up about, well their foot game no less and without a doubt, their indelible fashion line Lavi-NYC. These brothers are so genuine and authentic; the love, respect and admiration they share for one another is inspiring and the patience, poise and passion they possess is unmatched. They share their path from point A to point now around their brand and I cannot wait to see how the world continues to receive them. Just remember who put you on and know that EYE was there from the beginning #insidejokes. Enjoy the show!
This conversation has been 3 years in the making! Thanks to a very good friend of mine - what up Bri - I have known of and become very cool with Dan P Lee, an up and coming stylist who is poised to take the world by storm. Trained by none other than Jason Rembert himself, Dan has an exceptional eye for fashion and, for himself fully owns his look. His FTBUP story is unique and his truly only just begun. The saga will continue for him, but remember where you heard about him first!
Guys, this episode was literally a labor of love. My trainer, Joe Morris, Owner and Founder of Rebellion Fitness found the time in his hectic schedule (including taking a break from yelling at me in the gym)to talk shoes and business. No matter how much we fight, hence the labor of love cause he grinds my damn gears, I genuinely love and appreciate his friendship and honestly he really is the best of the best in this fitness game. As always, sit back relax, and enjoy the show!
This was one of my most fun interviews to date! I sat down with LaKeisha, personal shopper, fashion extraordinaire and the beauty and brains behind one of the hottest IG platforms, Fashion Sherlock. We talked shoes, how hard it is to find larger sizes and how she plans to build in the future. I said it before and I'll say it again, It was FUN. Enjoy.
It's always a blessing when I get to sit down with childhood friends and chop it up. This episode features mi long time friend, Kendall - rapper, chef, business owner and now sneaker collaborator. Like what can't he do? As always sit back, relax, laugh a little and enjoy the audible ride with us. This is another banger!
I was gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off! And jump off I did do - the first guest of the season is none other than Marika B otherwise known as Br00klynbetty. MB and I have been innanet besties for a while now. I remember the first time I saw her fly self and thought, yea thats my type of fearless, fly chic chick! Ms. Br00klyn herself shares insight into her looks, how she has a hard time saying no, and what she would take with her if she were stranded on an island; y'all know this is my fav question. All that said, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
I really love when I get a chance to interview my friends. I chopped it up ZoomRona style with one of my nearest and dearest, makeup artists extraordinaire Alana Wright. Alana and those fingaz (we have an entire almost 2 min chat about her hands and feet)have worked makeup magic on the likes of Elaine Welteroth, Aurora James, ME; on campaigns for NIKE, MCM, L'Oreal, and SSENSE just to name a few. There's so much more to say, but just hit the play button! Enjoy.
Hola Mi Gente, I know its been a while, but I'm bizzack and I wanted to come with some heat. I had the honorable pleasure to have a conversation with Super Producer Amadeus. Let me share some stats, he's a MULTI-PLATINUM BAD BOY/HITMEN Producer, passed the DIDDY Stare Down Challenge, is the Musical Director and Drummer for Trey Songz, has a residency in Vegas at Drai's nightclub, and is a loving father and partner to his Queen. Reared in the Boogie Down, Amadeus drops lots of gems and for all of those interested in music he certainly lays down a blueprint for you to follow. Enjoy the listen and feel free to hop in my DM and let me know your thoughts! @ftbup7
Y'all #DaRona is really out here trying to stop 2020, but we ain't gone let it happen cappain'! I trekked it up to the studio with my face mask and gloves in tow to chop it up with up and coming Harlem rapper MK AKA Mr. 212, who has recently been signed to Max B's label EMG. It was a great reprieve from being stuck in the house and a lesson in just going with the flow. So with that sit back relax and enjoy the show!
This moment was a long time coming. First let me say, this is the prime example of social media doing some good. Me and my sole sister are literally two of a kind. I mean its rare to find someone whose shoe closet is almost identical to yours! Like no really, down to the exact color way of a particular style. Needless to say thats us and in true fashion my good girl J. Bailey is dropping some FTBUP gems on her shoe game and how she built her business. So sit back, kick ya feet up and enjoy!
I sat down with Walt, member of Black Ink Crew, Photographer, Businessman, Comedienne most importantly, soon to be husband to my good girl BIG ENERGY J Sparks(listen to her episode if you haven't its good ep#4. Shits FUNNY. Just listen. Be inspired and do great.
You guys. My friend is a celebrity. I sat down with Wayne aka Wayno aka Celebrity to get the scoop on how he built his career in music, started as a host for Everyday Struggle on Complex - and of course went through a rundown of his footwear collection and preferences. I was shell shocked y'all because my friend is a celebrity! He presented me with my first challenge without even realizing it, which is ensuring I stay sharp and step my game up. I mean he's a damn host of a show and I was interviewing him on my show like I'm still at a lost for words. I hope you enjoy! Welcome to 2020!
60 lessons learned over the past decade. Hope you learned something too! HAPPY MOTHERFRIGGIN NEW YEAR! 2020 ITS ON AND POPPIN!!!
I sat down with Mr. Harlem himself AKA Kells. He can also be described as a modern day renaissance man. Kells is a part of the infamous Harlem Haberdashery fam/clan. And just to be clear, they are a family who happen to be in business together - NOT a family business. He's an artists, a designer, serial entrepreneur, intelligent, FUNNY and a self-proclaimed lover of spirits (but not the kind you get in church). I think, no I KNOW y'all are going to enjoy this episode. So sit kick back, chill and tune-in.
This week it is just me, myself and I. Shooting the shit and talking smack. I flew through this cause I was prepping for my special guest you will have the pleasure of hearing next week. Dah well such is life. Enjoy!
This weeks episode features Jessica C. AKA J Sparks. She's a mom, a VET (sis was in the Navy), a program director aiding women in the trans community, a friend, a sister, a cast member on Black Ink NYC and Ms. BIG ENERGY herself. We talked shopped and I even got some exclusive tea that all those who tune-in to the show will eventually see, but you'll hear it here first! Enjoy the episode and as always been inspired. Stay fly!
All I can say is SPASTIC! LOL DJ C. DeVone, but to me Crystal like I can't stop saying it is a gem. We've known each other for eons at this point and when we get together, its usually a mess. Just listen for yourself, but rest assured there's something to learn as always. Enjoy the listen :).
This weeks ep features Kellia of Kebero NYC. Kellia is a fashion industry veteran who has sharpened her iron as a Design Director, at Otis College of Art and Design and spent some time honing design for Apple Bottom and Vanessa and Angela Simmons' line Pastel. She shares a beat on her fashion industry start and how she built her own line, Kebero NYC From The Bottom Up!™ ENJOY!
We are back and in full effect with all of the From The Bottom Up!™ Inso and insight one can stand. This week I chopped it up with one of my besties David P., a modern day renaissance man from Harlem as we talk how his kick game and life game has prepared him for the now. Sit back, relax and enjoy the listen.
Guys, what a fulfilling ride this has been. As we come to a close on Season 1, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Bobby Trendz - newly minted Head of PR for photographer Wynton Harvey (yes Steve Harvey's son!), Social Media Ambassador for CREED and former PR rep for Neiman Marcus. I mean, there was really no other choice for this last episode. Sit back, take a walk, workout, whatever you do, just be inspired. Enjoy the listen and I'll be back in a few weeks with some more gems! THANK YOU.
We're winding down on season one and before I could conclude, it was imperative that I had the very man who helped to push me forward with my podcast, Isaiah Joyner Founder and CEO of Reserv Concierge ANDDDD creator of How To Juggle The Struggle, A Millennials Guide to Surviving and Thriving, on the show. Zay is a national treasure and needs to be protected at all cost LOL. You will understand why. Enjoy the listen and check out his podcast as well!
I sat down with Philly Stylist AKA Baby Rah - the name I am now giving her, to discuss her dreams, goals and the future of how she sees the role she will play in fashion. At 25, Radiya is ambitious, constantly learning and growing, but certainly determined. Can't wait to see where she is in the next 2-5 years! Enjoy.
Hola mi gente! Welcome to episode 8/9 - ha (I've explained this a few times before). I chatted with Dionne of Retail Noire, a new social platform built on Instagram that highlights and supports black designers. This episode is all about the timing of things. So sit back relax and enjoy this listen. Besos.
Isshy (as only I can call him) is a real true friend and gem who I met during my days in the advertising business. I sat down with him to talk kicks, chicks (not really it just rhymed and Ishy is happily taken) and how he built his career in the social media space. Ish dropped A LOT of heat for y'all and you may need to digest this in two parts, but its worth it. Enjoy!
I am gathering the fellas y'all and today I sat down with the "extra extra read all about him" Gideon The Great, Creative Director of Bandé NYC and Wardrobe Consultant/Closet Therapist. You've seen me in some of his wears and now you'll get to hear how he created his brand and platform. Enjoy!

Gem dropping on what's hot for spring, sales and of course giving you some inspo to keep you motivated!
I sat down with Ashlee Muhammad of BeEyeConic and Harlem Haberdashery to talk shoes and shit. We're gonna need a part deux - we didn't talk the multiple tours she's done with Ms. Cardi B, the podcast she host with her husband or her first-ever pop-up store at a bodega in our beloved HARLEM. Nonetheless, Ash is an ICON living with an amazing story, enjoy the talk!
FTBUP!™ sits down with Heather Jones of Trunk Show Designer Consignment and Reassembled NYC to chat shoes and building her business From The Bottom Up!™
