Pathfinder Church and St. John School sermons
Pathfinder Church and St. John School
The Pathfinder Church Messages podcast is an invaluable resource for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of biblical truth and apply it to their everyday lives. As a caregiver for an infant during church, I often miss parts of the message, but I am grateful that I can re-listen to them on the podcast. The messages delivered by the pastors at Pathfinder effectively communicate God's Word and provide practical applications that resonate with me. Whether it's discussing complex theological concepts or offering advice for navigating life's challenges, these messages never fail to inspire and encourage.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the clarity and relevance of the messages. The pastors at Pathfinder have a deep understanding of Scripture and are able to present it in a relatable way that speaks directly to my heart. They tackle a wide range of topics, covering everything from faith and relationships to purpose and identity. It is evident that they diligently study God's Word and are genuinely invested in teaching others about His love and truth. The messages are thought-provoking, filled with biblical wisdom, and leave me feeling inspired to live out my faith in tangible ways.
While there are many positive aspects of this podcast, one potential drawback is that some may find it challenging to keep up with the fast-paced delivery or unfamiliar terminology used by the pastors. As someone from a non-Korean background who wasn't accustomed to English sermons, I initially had some difficulty following along. However, with time and repeated listening, I have grown more familiar with their style and have been able to fully comprehend the message being communicated. It would be beneficial if there was an option for subtitles or transcripts for those who may struggle with language barriers or auditory processing.
In conclusion, the Pathfinder Church Messages podcast is an incredible resource for individuals seeking spiritual growth and transformation in their lives. The pastors' dedication to sharing God's Word shines through in their messages, which are consistently clear, true, and inspiring. Despite any potential language barriers, the value of these messages cannot be overstated. I am grateful for the opportunity to re-listen to them and glean new insights each time. Thank you to the pastors at Pathfinder for their commitment to delivering powerful sermons that resonate with people of all backgrounds.
Pathfinder Church | June 1, 2025 | Dion GarrettThere's never been more (or more varied) advice for how to be physically healthy. Every year brings new medications and procedures that can help you lose weight, be more attractive, or stave off sickness. With such a plethora of medical wisdom, what more could the Bible have to say about health? Pathfinder Church | May 25, 2025 | AJ MasticChristian Psychologist M. Scott Peck says that human beings struggle to make a “map” of the world that helps them understand and wisely navigate life. It can be tempting to be like Peter Pan and never grow up. Or to rely only on our own wisdom. But if we do, we will always be struggling to “reinvent the wheel,” or be bedeviled by obstacles that other people long ago solved. How can we increase our wisdom and ability to navigate the world? Pathfinder Church | March 30, 2025 | AJ MasticEven though we pay disproportionate attention to superstars, the fact is that even the greatest players can't win without a team around them. Some athletes get a reputation as a “locker room cancer,” and are therefore frequently traded or have short careers. Pathfinder Church | March 2, 2025 | AJ MasticHave you ever referred to yourself as a ‘disciple' of Jesus? Maybe that word sounds nebulous, or a bit weird. Pathfinder Church | February 16, 2025 | Doug MaussIt sounds lovely and nice; but what exactly IS grace? There are lots of different uses of the word, in culture and by Christians. On the journey we discover more about God's grace and power, his transformative hand through all the things that feel challenging, tragic, and pointless. It's about what God does in the journey, not the destination… and setbacks become the means by which we grow and discover the power of God's providential hand with us.Website | https://pathfinderstl.orgOnline Giving | https://pathfinderstl.org/givePodcasts | https://pathfinderstl.org/podcastsFacebook | https://facebook.com/pathfinderstlInstagram | https://instagram.com/pathfinderstlSt. John School | https://stjls.orgContact Us | churchinfo@pathfinderstl.org
Pathfinder Church | August 4, 2024 | Doug MaussMost stories are about a protagonist overcoming obstacles due to his own strength, perseverance, and wisdom. But the Christian story relies on God's supernatural wisdom and guidance, not our own. And we all have access to a divine power, the Holy Spirit in us.Website | https://pathfinderstl.orgOnline Giving | https://pathfinderstl.org/givePodcasts | https://pathfinderstl.org/podcastsFacebook | https://facebook.com/pathfinderstlInstagram | https://instagram.com/pathfinderstlSt. John School | https://stjls.orgContact Us | churchinfo@pathfinderstl.org
Pathfinder Church | July 28, 2024 | Dion GarrettThere's one final step to living with a deep sense of gratitude that too few of us experience: paying forward our blessings to others. How can giving to others enrich us, when the math says it will only deplete us? Pathfinder Church | July 21, 2024 | AJ MasticWhen you experience something really good, it's natural to want to talk about it. Except sometimes, whether because of modesty or self-protection, we do the opposite. In life, we're encouraged to keep life's good things to ourselves; after all, no one likes a braggart. But what do we miss out on when we fail to tell others about the good things in our lives? Pathfinder Church | July 14, 2924 | Doug MaussWhile we may say “thank you” to the person at the counter who serves us, things like thank you notes are a challenge. When seen through the lens of etiquette, formal “thank yous” seem burdensome, antiquated, and pointless, and perhaps they are? But what do we miss when we fail to take time to express our thanks, intentionally and specifically? Pathfinder Church | July, 7, 2024 | AJ MasticWhen someone pays you a compliment, what do you do? Do you quickly brush it off or do you take it in and savor it? What about when someone does something generous for you in a time of need? Why is it so difficult to enjoy the lemonade of life, even when we can clearly see the full glass before us? Pathfinder Church | June 39, 2024 | Dion GarrettWe notice lots of things in our daily lives, but usually we're quicker to notice life's lemons—life's sour moments. Then, once we start seeing lemons, that's all we can see! Just look at how quickly this can happen for entire nations! How do we cultivate a grateful mindset when life throws so many frustrations, slights, and disappointments at us? Pathfinder Church | June 23, 2024 | Doug MaussOur world can be a really ugly and difficult place. The Gospel gives us hope of a better life, where God prospers us, like He did with many in the Bible – but that leaves us confused when life gets hard. Shouldn't faith shield us from the pain and suffering of the world?Website | https://pathfinderstl.orgOnline Giving | https://pathfinderstl.org/givePodcasts | https://pathfinderstl.org/podcastsFacebook | https://facebook.com/pathfinderstlInstagram | https://instagram.com/pathfinderstlSt. John School | https://stjls.orgContact Us | churchinfo@pathfinderstl.org
