I sat down to write a blog post for the end of this year. As I dictate to the computer sometimes I realised afterwards that the post would be best offered as both podcast and blog. This episode looks at how we deal with personal growth and moving from victim to acceptance in the journey. It also considers how we can be kinder to both self and others in light of all that has occurred for us collectively and individually this year. In this episode I share some thoughts on the struggle of feeling the need to hide vs being seen doing your work. I tie this into where you are at in your journey of self development. My sharing is both personal and observational. The essence is that we are all at different stages of our journey - some in pain now waiting for the healing, others into a new phase of self acceptance. All aspects, especially in the context of this year, warrant love and kindness in all directions. Blog post version Show notes page
This is the fifth episode in a series on letting go and focuses more on people. This is Part 2 of the people topic - though counts as a third episode just on letting go of people. This episode takes you more through the big picture of letting go of people and helps create context for your own exploration of the topic. There also are points for reflection and insight around how you can discern if letting go of a person is in fact the best step for you. In essence it really is the last resort and only after actions, reflection and consideration of all mentioned is it then time to take such a step. This is the third episode in a series about letting go. This one looks at ‘people’. Because such a topic is more involved this is a primer episode of sorts. In this episode the focus is on helping you start to reflect on what the topic means for you. There are questions, perspectives to consider, what it is and is not to let go of people. Identifying areas of consideration and considering before go into more depth. Jenn on Instagram Website
This is the second episode in a series about letting go. This one talks about ‘place’. Whilst place is external to us our relationship and perspective is internal. Our connection to a place whether home or work will be unique to each of us. Yet place is more likely to be shared than individual. Letting go of place first requires us to understand the nature of our connection and what place means to us. Then it is up to each of us to determine if there is a need or want to let go of a place. If so then our journey is to find a way to do so that helps us be more. This episode helps to define what it means for you and suggests some processes and examples for letting go. This is the first episode in a series about letting go. In this episode Jenn talks about letting go of stuff. On the surface letting go of stuff may be about decluttering. This episode looks at how we find our own way in working through what matters to us in terms of stuff. Included are some suggested ideas for processes and some personal and professional examples. Authenticity and being true to yourself requires seeing ourselves from another perspective. This episode continues the series of the Remembering to Be Me program - part 2 of 6. In this episode we explore the topic “Through the Looking Glass”. This topic aims to help us find our deeper and more complete way of being authentic. In discussing the topic Jenn also delves into her inadvertent use of the words that are also from the book. It is also amusing to discover the relevance to our personal journey. Full show notes. Sometimes the confusion and resistance we have comes from within. The result is a sense of self out of alignment, a feeling of uncertainty and perhaps some inaction in areas you are still deeply passionate. A way to resolve an internal conflict like this is to have a dialogue with your self. This is what I did. So in the spirit of being open, transparent and a bit vulnerable I share my experience. Usually I am one to write my insights. In this case I let the different parts of me have their say. This is for you if you want to consider how you deal with your own inner rebel and get in your own way. Perhaps you can find some ideas and inspiration for your own sense of direction. The ultimate outcome is realignment, refocusing and a new sense of purpose in your life and work.
