Feeling masked-out, sensory-flooded, or side-eyeing all things “spiritual” as an autistic, AuDHD, or ADHD adult? In this episode of Adulting With Autism, Ashmita Arora—teacher and founder of The Intuitive Practice and Eva & Isla®—shares a grounded take on spiritual awakening for autistic adults that does not bypass mental health, trauma, or lived experience. We talk about how health crises and a Kundalini “pop” pushed Ashmita to see energy as another language for understanding patterns, burnout, and shutdowns. She explains why sensitivity is not a flaw but information your nervous system is giving you, and how logic and intuition can work together instead of fighting each other. You will hear simple, realistic practices for: A 1-minute breathing reset to tell your body “I'm safe” during overwhelm. “Space floating” and gentle movement for peace when everything feels too loud. Channeling meltdown energy into low-pressure creativity (like doodling, swimming, or writing) to find clarity afterward. For ADHD and AuDHD sensory overwhelm, Ashmita normalizes non-linear growth—why your path will never look like a straight line—and offers small daily rituals to support nervous system regulation, unmasking, and self-trust. This is spiritual support for autistic adults that respects boundaries, pacing, and consent. If you are craving tools for spiritual awakening as an autistic adult and want help managing energy, intuition, and everyday life, this conversation is for you. Listen now for practical, compassionate ideas you can test and keep—or throw away if they do not fit your brain. In this episode of Grounding, season two, host Sarah Aronson talks to Peter McDonough—director of the Climate Change Studies Program at the University of Montana—his students, and another educator at the intersection of climate change and mental health at UM, Jen Robohm, about the dissonance of climate change. Aronson explores this friction in order to better understand the times we're living in, and how to live well in spite of compounding stressors. Though there might end up being more questions than answers this season, it's clear that the answer to the central question, “Are we alone?” is unequivocally, “no.”
Let's Chat!!Boo, bitches. This week's mini cauldrons of chaos episode is about grounding — but not the soft, whispery, “just breathe” kind that makes some of us want to hiss. This is grounding for when you're:OverstimulatedDeeply annoyedSpiritually aligned but emotionally feralYou're not ungrounded. You're irritated. And that's different. In this episode, we're talking grounding techniques that:Let you stay madDon't require serenity or enlightenmentWork with your irritation instead of pretending it doesn't existFrom aggressive tea drinking, to touching dirt with attitude, to naming exactly what pissed you off today, this episode is proof that you don't have to be calm to be grounded — you just have to be present in your body, even if that body is glaring at the universe. This isn't failed spirituality. It's real-life witchcraft.Light a candle. Sip something warm with intent. And be proud of yourself for not hexing anyone.Progress.Support the showUntil then, Stay Witchy!!River's Etsy Store: www.batsandbaublesinc.etsy.comWebsite: www.c3witchypodcast.comMerch: www.c3witchypodcastmerch.comOur wonderful logo is done by: www.nellamarinadraws.etsy.comIntro and Outro Audio:podcast intro & outro music:Góða Nótt by Alexander NakaradaLink: https://filmmusic.io/song/4754-g-a-n-ttLicense: https://filmmusic.io/standard-liceSound from Zapsplat.com – Witches Cauldrons bubbling

People who lie down are a fixture of contemporary literature, art, and life. Murder victims, protesters, invalids, depressives, sex workers, and more: these are the recumbent figures that populate Here Is a Figure: Grounding Literary Form (Northwestern UP, 2025) the latest book from literary critic and poet Sarah Dowling. Out now from Northwestern University Press, this fascinating and ambitious study moves to the ground of mainstream and experimental literary and artistic work from the late twentieth century to the present. There Dowling traces a pattern of prone figures, like a chain of paper dolls strewn across the floor. These figures do a surprising amount of work from their horizontal position, challenging our notions of human subjectivity and political agency, and, at the same time, turning our attention to the ground against which they stretch. In this rich and wide-ranging conversation with Alix Beeston, Dowling shares how researching and writing Here Is a Figure allowed her to work through unexpected and minor forms of feminist and anti-colonial action, the inextricability of literature and the other arts, and the groundedness—the historical and material conditions—of all artistic and scholarly labor. She issues a call for scholars of literature and art to shake off habits of mastery and detachment and instead to approach their work as a form of passionate advocacy for the enduring value of criticism. Recent news events have left many people feeling unsettled, anxious, or emotionally overwhelmed. Even when something doesn't happen directly to us, our nervous system can still register danger and respond with fear, tension, or hypervigilance. In today's Daily Shift, we gently acknowledge the impact of heavy and tragic news and explore how constant exposure can affect both the body and mind. This episode offers a grounding reminder that feeling anxious in response to violent or distressing events is not weakness — it's biology. Rather than pushing emotions away or becoming consumed by the news cycle, this shift invites you to pause, notice what your body is holding, and regulate before reacting. In this episode, we explore: How distressing news impacts the nervous system Why anxiety after tragic events is a biological response The connection between media exposure and body-based stress A simple grounding approach to help your system settle A gentle reminder: You can acknowledge what's happening in the world without overwhelming your nervous system. Grounding your body is not avoidance — it's care. Small shifts in presence create real change, even during uncertain times.

In this sermon by Chris Romig, the focus is on prayer, revival, and spiritual renewal at the start of a new year. He invites the congregation to imagine what could happen if God sent true revival to their church, city, and nation, especially during a year of major anniversaries like America's 250th and Venice's 100th. Chris Romig explains that, biblically, revival is a supernatural work of God that restores spiritual vitality to believers who have grown stagnant, leading to broader transformation in communities. Grounding his message in 2 Chronicles 7:14, Chris Romig emphasizes the importance of humility, repentance, and seeking God's presence through authentic, relational prayer not just ritual. He urges everyone to set aside daily time for prayer and Bible reading, reminding them that prayer is a privilege and a source of real connection with God. Using vivid stories and illustrations, Chris Romig calls listeners to move beyond empty habits and embrace a genuine relationship with God, like a child approaching a loving parent. The sermon closes with a call to unity, humility, and expectation encouraging the church to pray for revival and to trust God to work deeply in and through their lives this year.

It doesn't have to always feel so hard or so intense. AND, when you step away from a long time habit; (for me in this case: saying goodbye to a 17 year relationship with social media) change takes time, lightness, humor, peacefulness make room, patterns naturally unravel and unwind and (un) conscious behaviors recalibrate when stepping into stillness, quiet and calm. Is peaceful boring? If peace is what I want to feel can it feel satisfying as my human nature? Stable and Steady YES!Here are some things I am entering the new year with: GROUNDiNG: (for me, I am wearing Earthing Harmony shoes with a copper ring on an acupuncture point that take a month to break in, so I'll keep you posted on how that slows me down for the present because everyone has their own unique experience).Clearing resistance, opening up to a new possibility, opening heart to life, digesting the past necessary shocks to the system can be learning curves, challenges and extremes. Sometimes the middle ground is not a default setting and smooth sailing can be a skill to genuinely appreciate with routine, predictability, repetition and clarity (for me, emotionally dense experiences to catalyze and get to where I am now has allowed me to return to being with what is: when the nervous system receives a lot of shocks - coming back into growth, evolution, perspective shifts and thankfulness). One of my triggers recently said: When I am not feeling heard it can feel easy to believe the idea "what if I feel like this forever?" No more strict rules or obligations. No more judgement/punishment energy. No more burdens. Opening ups to self forgiveness and remembrance. Time for benevolence and care and holding tenderness with LOVE! It's easy for me to give love. It's my edge to open my heart to receiving love in all ways and support. I deepen my capacity for leading with heart and generosity. I trust you life:)I love you!Want to support the show: https://www.venmo.com/u/magicmomentsplay
Healing from covert narcissistic abuse doesn't follow a calendar—and January doesn't require clarity, decisions, or resolutions. If you're entering the new year feeling foggy, heavy, or unsure, this episode is for you. Instead of pushing urgency, motivation, or “fresh starts,” this conversation offers something survivors of covert narcissism actually need: orientation, safety, and permission to go slowly. In this New Year's Day episode, we explore why January can feel more like an aftermath than a beginning, especially if you're still in the relationship, newly out, or years removed but still impacted. We talk about what covert narcissistic abuse does to your nervous system, why information alone isn't enough, and how healing often shows up quietly—not dramatically. This episode also introduces how the podcast will function as a guided path this year, with grounding Sunday episodes and more connective Thursday conversations, including community chats. In this episode, we cover: Why January pressure can be harmful for survivors How covert narcissism disrupts self-trust and internal orientation Why healing doesn't require decisions or urgency Signs of healing that are often overlooked What to expect from the podcast moving forward How community and shared language support recovery You are not behind. You are not doing this wrong. And you don't have to decide anything yet. In this episode of Prove All Things, Jeff and Mike (joined by Olivia Doyle) tackle the topic of addiction—defining it as a powerful neuropsychological struggle that can involve substances or behaviors and often includes cravings, withdrawal, and escalating tolerance. They emphasize that addiction can happen to anyone (including through prescription medications) and warn against judgment, urging compassion and wise counsel. The hosts discuss modern “easy access” traps like pornography, internet use, gambling, and even food, showing how dopamine-driven patterns can quietly reshape the mind and harm relationships and daily life. Grounding the discussion in Scripture, they highlight the spiritual battle behind temptation and offer hope: through God's strength, accountability, and practical help, freedom and recovery are possible.

In this conversation, Dr. Stanton Hom sits down with Jamie Lee, a trauma-forged, intuition-led mother who has become a leading voice in the Heavy Metal Detox Mom Movement. Jamie shares her powerful origin story and walks us through her daughter's early developmental delays, the intense pressure to vaccinate, the dismissive responses from pediatricians, and the moment she said "enough" and took healing into her own hands. Together, they unpack how children are programmed by media, pharma marketing, and the medical system, why speech delays, regressions, ADHD, eczema, and "autism" have been normalized but are not normal, Jamie's experience with heavy metal detox, fulvic, zeolite, and gut healing, and much more! In this Healthy Waves episode, Avik Chakraborty sits down with Anjuly Rudolph to cut through the noise around yoga. They unpack why yoga is not just poses or flexibility goals, and how the original purpose is mind training, nervous system regulation, and emotional balance. Anjuly breaks down what gets lost in modern “fitness-only” yoga culture, shares beginner-friendly entry points for busy people, and explains why breathwork, grounding, and proper relaxation are non negotiable if you want results that actually stick. Expect practical, at-home micro habits you can run for 7 to 14 days to feel a real shift in stress, sleep, and energy. About the Guest: Anjuly Rudolph is a transformational catalyst blending yoga, hypnosis, energy healing, and coaching. Raised with deep yogic roots in an Indian family, she has carried this work across Uganda, Burundi, Syria, Tunisia, and Germany. She also trains yoga teachers in Germany and focuses on making yoga practical, grounded, and culturally respectful. Key Takeaways: Yoga is a full system for mind and energy, not just stretching or fitness. Asanas are only one small part of yoga. The bigger goal is calming mental fluctuations. A beginner does not need flexibility. Lack of flexibility is often the reason to start gently. Simple joint movements can be a low-barrier daily practice for mobility and stress release. Breath awareness is a fast lever for shifting your nervous system state. Grounding at the start of practice helps you actually “arrive” in your body. Final relaxation matters. Skipping it breaks the system and reduces benefits. Yoga Nidra is not the same as lying down quietly. It is a structured practice. Yoga supports emotional processing even when you cannot clearly name the emotion. A practical 14-day test: 2 minutes of conscious breathing morning and night, plus joint movement before sleep. GROUNDED IN THE MIDDLE OF CRAZY– Holidays often stir more emotion than peace. They carry a huge contrast of 'expectation meets reality'. People remember who's missing, feel pressure to make things perfect, and reach the edge of their emotional capacity. In this episode, we'll talk about what makes these “big emotion days” so intense and how to use a simple four-step tool to bring calm and clarity back into the moment—for you and the people you coach. Key Takeaways • Big emotion days are usually caused by accumulation, not crisis—too many small stressors and not enough rest. • The Pause, Name, Ground, Choose process helps restore awareness, safety, and emotional regulation. • Grounding the body before doing mindset work creates peace and clarity for both coach and client. Action Guide When emotion rises this week, pause and take one deep breath. Name what's happening, ground your body in the present moment, and choose your next step. Then teach this same process to someone who needs a practical way to move through big emotion days with peace. Winter isn't the problem — ignoring it is.In this episode of the Light Up Your Metabolism Podcast, Dani breaks down why blood sugar issues often get worse in the winter — even if you're eating “healthy” and sticking to your usual routine. Most of us were taught to manage blood sugar with macros, carbs, and willpower. But when you ignore seasonal and circadian biology, winter can quietly disrupt insulin sensitivity, cortisol rhythms, hormones, sleep, and metabolism. In this episode, Dani explains how shorter days, less sunlight, artificial lighting, out-of-season foods, early workouts, and constant productivity create the perfect storm for blood sugar dysregulation — and what winter is actually designed to support instead: repair, metabolic cleanup, and rest.❄️ Winter Blood Sugar Masterclass (Live + Replay)If you want to go deeper and learn exactly how to apply this, Dani is hosting a Winter Blood Sugar Masterclass designed to give you clear, practical steps for supporting your blood sugar during the darker months — without relying on willpower or starting over in January. In this class, you'll learn:How to get morning light in winter (even when it's cold or cloudy)Grounding strategies that don't involve freezingHow to use cold exposure safely for blood sugar and thyroid healthHeat and infrared strategies to support metabolism and energyHow to light your home to support melatonin and cortisolBest times of day to eat and work out in winterSeasonal eating strategies to support fat metabolism and blood sugar stability

In Day 3 of the Emotional Reset 7-Day Journey, you'll explore the science of emotional regulation and why resisting feelings often makes them stronger. Backed by neuroscience and nervous-system research, this episode guides you through a calming breathing practice designed to reduce emotional intensity while increasing self-trust. You'll learn how emotions move through the body, why awareness is more powerful than control, and how extended exhale breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system. Through a grounding meditation and a relatable story, Day 3 invites you to stop fighting your emotions—and start letting them pass. Perfect for anyone feeling emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from their inner calm. ALL ABOUT THIS WEEK'S SERIES This week on The Daily Meditation Podcast, we're beginning a special 7-day meditation series designed to help you gently release emotional buildup and reconnect with a sense of calm, clarity, and inner balance. So many of us move through our days carrying emotions we never had time to process — lingering stress, emotional fatigue, or subtle tension that quietly accumulates. This series offers a supportive pause, giving your nervous system space to settle and your emotional world room to reset. Each day, you'll be guided through a short meditation with a specific emotional focus, following a gentle daily arc that builds naturally across the week. We'll move from releasing emotional residue, to resting and grounding the nervous system, to creating emotional boundaries, self-soothing, restoring balance, and finally embodying calm presence. You don't need to prepare, analyze, or do anything extra. Simply listening each day is enough. Each meditation stands on its own, while also supporting a deeper sense of emotional ease as the week unfolds. Whether you listen to one episode or join us for the full 7-day journey, this series is an invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect with yourself. This is day 2 of a 7-day meditation series, "Emotional Reset: Your 7-Day Plan," episodes 3430-3436. YOUR WEEKLY CHALLENGE: "The Gentle Reset Challenge" Pause once daily. Hand on heart. The truth is: buying or selling a house can feel like a full-blown identity crisis. Realtors know it, clients feel it, and now we have a licensed therapist here to explain *why* it all gets so emotionally messy. In this episode we welcome Katy's former client and current number one referrer, Mary Ruiz, LPC. She's not just a real estate success story — she's now a licensed professional counselor (and a great one at that). We chat about the mental health rollercoaster that often comes with real estate: from renovations and relocations to the unexpected triggers that show up when people face big change. Mary shares why even competent, confident people often spiral emotionally during a transaction, and how *Realtors can support clients* without carrying the weight of everyone's emotions. We're talking about therapy, boundaries, client meltdowns, and the emotional expectations people carry into real estate decisions. This is a must-listen for any Realtor who's ever felt like an unqualified therapist. Here's what we cover in this episode: - Why therapy and real estate overlap more than you think - The mental toll of buying, selling, building, and renovating - What neurodivergent clients may struggle with during moves - Why confident people often break down during transactions - Tips for helping clients regulate their emotions - When (and how) to set boundaries with difficult clients - Grounding techniques to use during emotional conversations - What Realtors can do to protect their own mental well-being
What if the way you close this year determines how powerfully you step into the next one? As we approach the end of a deeply transformative cycle, this episode invites you to pause before rushing ahead. The energy of the Wood Snake has been subtle but intense—marked by shedding, introspection, and hard-earned wisdom—and ignoring that process now can have consequences later. With faster, more volatile energy on the horizon, this conversation explores why unresolved patterns—energetic, emotional, relational, or strategic—don't disappear just because the calendar turns. Instead of pushing forward prematurely, you'll hear why this moment is meant for intentional closure, and how slowing down now can create real momentum when things begin to accelerate. Nicole shares the perspective she's personally using to close out the year with clarity, highlighting the kinds of habits, stories, and dynamics that tend to surface during this phase. From internal beliefs to physical environments and relationships, the episode centers on discernment—what's ready to be released, what needs to be addressed, and what deserves to move forward with you. Grounding yet forward-focused, this episode is designed to help you transition consciously rather than reactively. If this year challenged you, reshaped you, or forced you to confront uncomfortable truths, this conversation offers a way to integrate those lessons—so you enter the next chapter prepared, steady, and ready to move.
