The party barely makes it out alive! They head back to lick their wounds and try to figure out how things went so wrong. One party member makes a major decision, leading to another changing of the guard. Now we have to deal with an alligator in our midst, because of course we do.Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
With the new rogue in tow, the party delves further into the upper level of the Gauntlight. They find a stairway leading down (yeah!) and then immediately stumble across a chapel. Chapels are good, right? Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
The party keeps searching the top level of the Gauntlight. In this episode, we loose a long time friend but gain a new one. Maybe having an actual rogue in a mega dungeon IS a good idea? And why are all of these creatures here in the first place?Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
Well that's a wrap for the season. the players get a final goodbye along with a chance to ask the DM some questions. Some could be answered, others...still TBD. We also say goodbye to one of our own who got a great new job that precludes playing during the time we record. Goodbye, Chris. We miss you already.Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
This is the end of our three part battle. All parties have collided and the fate of the blade, Pyre and the planes is coming to a conclusion one way or another. The only question remaining is...will anyone get out alive? Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
The battle rages on! In one corner we have Pyre and the Restless Jackals. In another, we have the Inquisitor. And finally, the Backalley Crew, caught in a vise. Luckily, Dorryn is able to successfully provide cover from behind a pillar. Did I mention that Pebble STILL has the blade and it desperately trying to keep it from either opponent. But what is the end game here? Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
So the "final" battle has begun. We have Pyre and the Restless Jackals on one side. On another side, the Inquisitor. And stuck in the middle is the Back Alley Cleanup Crew and the Assassin's Blade. It seems that everyone wants the blade and the power within. But who will end up with it? Here's a hint. This combat takes more than one episode to complete. We may be closing on on the end.Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
After resting and shopping in Otari, the party grabs their super long ladder / bridge and heads back out to the keep. Once there, they find that the bodies from their last encounters have been moved. But to where? And who moved them? Also, is there really a dragon just living in the keep and eating enormous frogs? At least the players have figured out combat and are moving through that process much quicker. The DM? He's still learning.Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
The whole group is FINALLY back together. That's the good news. The bad news? They all seem to be chained inside of the Assassin's Blade. But wait, it gets worse. Apparently, Filetti, who is in possession of the blade, is both trapped inside of the mountain AND hears the sounds of battle coming toward her. Who could that be? The Restless Jackals? Pyre? The Inquisitors? Someone else? Or worse, some combination of the three. Either way, things seem to be coming to a head.Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
After defeating the fire giant guardians, the party grabs the Flame of a Thousand Suns and head back toward the Sultan. Unfortunately, they learn from Pebble along the way that Filetti has the blade and is in some kind of danger. They are now under another clock and have to use extreme measures to return in time. Luckily, they have crack negotiator Traacs on their side, so there is no way that they will give up more than they already have. Right?Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
Combat! The fire giants were in no mood to negotiate, so we jump headlong into combat. Turns out that the party may have to actually work together to defeat these guys. All the while, Pebble learns that someone has possession of HIS blade and may provide another link to the outside world. Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
The party remains split! Outside of the blade, the main group meets the Sultan of the City of Brass and learns how to destroy the blade. Inside, Pebble flexes his god-like powers and finds and old friend to chat with. Why is everyone being so rude to Gillee? And what do Fire Giants have to do with anything?Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
The party is finally inside the keep! Now that they have their feet wet with their first combat, this should be a breeze. Unfortunately, things don't always work out as planned. And speaking of getting their feet wet, they decide to figure out how combat works in water in Pathfinder after an incident with the drawbridge. This was so much fun that we made it into an extra long episode. Enjoy!Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
The party, minus Pebble, find out that defeating an Efreeti doesn't end your issues. It just brings out more Efreeti. And now it's time to run away, or at least sail away, on the Astral Sea. Sure, it took a little head to body arranging to get the Genoa moving, but the creatures are closing in slowly but surely. The choice is simple. Fight or run.Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
After receiving the "secret" to being the king of the blade from Pyre, Pebble decides to use the magical phrase and enter into the unknown. Simultaneously, the rest of the party finds themselves back in the Astral Sea. This split party must now maneuver their respective fates with only a cursory knowledge of what is happening to the others. The party finds themselves adrift in...the Astral Sea. After getting their bearings, they have to decide on their next move. If they can only figure out how to get the Genoa moving, they can go almost anywhere. But where do they want to go? And what's up with that very nice fire guy heading this way?NOTE: This is the first time this episode was uploaded. We mistakenly had an incorrect episode with this episode title that got out to about 20 people before we discovered the issue and took it down. This is the REAL season 2 episode 43. After arriving in Otari, the party finds their contact Wrin. After her failed attempt to read the stars, she sends them off to the Gauntlight Keep where she feels that something is wrong. There they discover that they will need a little time to actually figure out Pathfinder combat and all that it entails. But on a positive note, they are in!Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
Yep. Sometimes, DND combat takes a long time. And this is one of those times. The party tries to get off of the God's back before he decides that he has had enough. Can they get the Genoa moving before complete disaster strikes? And if they get it moving, where will they go? It's combat time! All hell breaks loose with Gillee coming completely unhinged while Traacs jumps off of a grounded ship, Nico summons a fire buddy and Pebble runs around on the water. Over it all is the maniacal cackling of Dorryn, raining death and destruction wherever he casts his gaze. All the while, the island sinks into the sea and sets up the biggest threat of them all. A butthurt god. Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
Welcome to the Vaults! We start a new campaign (while still working on a different campaign) by playing Pathfinder 2E's adventure path Abomination Vaults. The same crew has completely different characters as we work our way through learning Pathfinder. In our first episode, a mysterious lady in a tower in Absalom sets our adventurers off on their way to confront...what? Rumors of an ancient evil. Probably nothing. But how else can they get into the elusive Pathfinder Society?Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
After the interesting feast, the party now is set to confront the Pretty One one at a time in her hut. Before they are granted access to the Genoa, they have to pass her test. Being a benevolent creature, she has a simple offer. She will give everyone what they most desire. All they have to pay is...whatever is the most valuable to them. One by one they make their deals. At last, the Genoa is theirs. All they have to do is move it off of the island. Either that or move the island from underneath it. Simple, right?Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
The party learns from the Pretty One that she will let them on the Genoa after they return from a feast being held, apparently, in their honor by the tortles. At the feast, they learn, the hard way, exactly what Hydrallis is. Now, it's time to get the heck off and on the Genoa, somehow. All they need to do is to face the Pretty One one at a time. So...no worries, right?Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
After finally making their way through the Fog os Insanity, the Backalley Cleanup Crew finally arrives at their goal...Hydrallis. The eerie, strangely landscaped island collects it's first victim in Captain One-Tooth, who only wants to revisit his ladies. A quick scouting trip reveals that you can only dig shallow graves, the huts are really well made, and a certain tortle has a tree growing out of his head. And that doesn't even touch on "The Pretty One."Intro and Outro music - Brass Orchid by Bobby RichardsLinktreeFacebookInstagramTwitterSupport the showSubscribe now!
After defeating the hydras, the party now finds themselves sailing directly into the Fog of Insanity. This is our final episode of our three part Pathfinder one-shot, Threshold of Knowledge. In this episode, we figure out the dying condition and how rogues sneak attack, among others. NOTE: This episode was NOT recorded correctly and we had to use the Twitch audio passed back through YouTube and to an mp3. Basically, it's rough. But we know what happened and it won't happen again. Finding themselves on the Mermaid's Insanity with Cardinal Caprae, the party finds our a very interesting fact about the god she worships. Yeah, not a good one. After discovering the secret in the Temple of Kikanuti, the party now knows that they need thee mysterious ship the Genoa to continue the hunt for the Assassin's blade.
