An episode from East River Baptist Church, a conservative, independent body of King James Bible believers located on the Northeast side of Houston, Texas. East River Baptist Church's (ERBC) mission as an assembly is threefold:- To Exalt the Saviour! Eph. 3:21- To Edify the Saints! Eph. 4:16- To Evangelize the Sinners! Lk 24:47 What ERBC believes about the Scriptures: “We believe that the scriptures of both Old and New Testament are verbally inspired of God, that they are the supreme and finalauthority for faith and practice, and are preserved in the Authorized Version (KJV 1611) of the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16. Psalm 12:6-7." What ERBC believes about God: “We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That God is supreme in His person, absolute in His attributes, glorious in His perfection, and eternal in Hisbeing. 1 John 5:7." What ERBC believes about Jesus: “We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ. His conception by the Holy Spirit, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His exaltation atGod's right hand, and His personal imminent, pre-millennial, and pre-tribulation return. Ephesians 1:7. ” What ERBC believes about man: “We believe that God created man in His image and likeness (a triune being: spirit, soul, and body) in a state of innocence's, but throughtemptation, he willingly transgressed, became dead in trespasses and sins. As a result, his posterity (all men) inherited a corrupt nature, are born in sin, and are under condemnation. Romans 5:12.” A message from ERBC to you:“If you are looking for a church in the Houston Texas area that preaches the Truth from God's Word, reach out to us at any time. [00:30] Deadly Naiveté (20 minutes) The current U.S. administration places an enormous amount of trust in men, even madmen like Russian President Vladimir Putin. Tucker Carlson had a disturbing and revealing interview with Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff that showed what the Trump administration thinks about making peace: Anything can be solved with dialogue. This naive worldview can only have disastrous consequences. [20:00] No Hope in Man (35 minutes) The Bible clearly shows that when world leaders say “peace and safety,” sudden destruction is coming. As times grow more urgent, true Christians must sprint, spiritually, toward the finish line.

"You always need to ask for help, and it's not something to be embarrassed about." "Guilt will kill us." "It's okay to not be okay. It's how you get from point A to point B that matters." In this deeply moving episode of the Better Call Daddy podcast, host Reena Friedman Watts welcomes Amy D. Post, a true warrior who has faced unimaginable challenges and emerged with a powerful message of resilience and hope. Amy shares her story of growing up with a brother who struggled with addiction, navigating a strained family dynamic, and her relentless pursuit of help and understanding. The conversation dives into the importance of asking for help and how Amy's upbringing shaped her perspective on support and advocacy. She recounts her journey through the medical system as a mother to a daughter diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, detailing the battles she fought to advocate for her child's health and well-being. Amy's candid reflections on guilt, self-care, and the transformative power of community highlight the importance of being present and living authentically. Reena's dad, Wayne, joins the discussion, offering his insights on the beauty of intergenerational relationships and the importance of sharing stories. Together, they explore the significance of vulnerability, the necessity of open dialogue, and the strength found in connection. This episode is a heartfelt reminder that we are not alone in our struggles, and that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. One of this county's general election candidates claims he is 'holding out no hope' for a resolution to the healthcare crisis from HIQA's impending interim review. A report by the health watchdog analysing the Midwest region's case for a second emergency department is set to be released in the coming weeks. Kilkee native, Dr Tom Nolan, claims HIQA put the nail in Ennis' coffin in 2009 as part of the reconfiguration of the region's hospitals. Nolan, who ran for Fine Gael in the recent general election, says an adequately staffed urgent care unit situated in Ennis would be more than capable of catering for the county's healthcare needs.

We tackle the heavy but hopeful subject of grief. Loss is an inevitable part of life, whether it's the death of a loved one, the end of a season, or a personal hardship. As believers, we are not immune to grief, but we are called to grieve differently. Grief in Christ is not the end of the story; it is a part of a larger narrative filled with hope, redemption, and the promise of eternal life. This episode will explore how we can grieve with hope, the comfort that the Holy Spirit brings, and how we can hold onto God's promises even in our deepest sorrow. Join the Conversation: We'd love to hear how praising God has helped you in your own challenges. 1 Peter 1:13 — How are Christians to view this world? In this sermon on 1 Peter 1:13 titled “No Hope For This World,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones says that the Bible shows that the world is passing and temporary. Christians are to seek not to transform this world, but to bring the gospel that alone can transform the hearts and minds of people. The Bible never promises that this world will be made inevitably better as many people believe, but it teaches that salvation comes to take people out of the world. True peace does not come when war ends, or poverty is removed, but when sinful people are reconciled with God and forgiven of their sins. For this reason, the church is to look not to politics to bring about transformation and renewal, but to the gospel. What then is the Christian's duties in this world? Christians are to seek the kingdom of God by preaching the gospel to the whole world. They are to preach the gospel as the only means of true peace and salvation from sins and the final judgement of God. Christians must put their hope in God above, not this passing world with its sinful ways. The church is on a pilgrimage, looking towards the day when it will arrive fully and finally in the kingdom of God. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/603/29
