Hosts: Erin Rider and Rusty Cannon  Ardent supporters of President Trump have set their sights on a Supreme Court justice you might not expect: Justice Amy Coney Barrett. While she's considered to be one of the more conservative justices -- and was nominated by President Trump in his first term -- many ultra conservatives throughout the country say that by ruling against President Trump's use of the Alien Enemies Act, she is secretly some kind of liberal in disguise. Erin and Rusty share their thoughts on these claims. 

On a recent trip Luke had met scientists from the US, the main topic of conversation is how the Trump administration is attacking science. They fear for their jobs and the ability to fund their science. This is an unfortunate turn of events. Luke discusses this further with Pat on also how it is distracting researchers.

Deportation of Venezuelan Gang Members: The Supreme Court lifted a judge's order blocking the deportation of suspected Venezuelan gang members to a prison in El Salvador. The Trump administration used the Alien Enemies Act, an 18th-century law, to classify these gang members as part of a hostile government. The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that challenges to deportation must be filed as habeas corpus petitions in the location where the individuals are detained, not as class actions in D.C. Cancellation of Teacher Training Grants: The Supreme Court upheld the cancellation of $600 million in teacher training grants, with $65 million yet to be distributed. The court ruled 5-4 that claims against federal money should be brought in the Court of Federal Claims. This decision was seen as a technical but significant victory against district judges trying to block the Trump administration's agenda. Reinstatement of Federal Employees: The Supreme Court reversed a district judge's order to reinstate 16,000 federal employees fired by the Trump administration. The court ruled 7-2 that the administration had followed proper procedures for the dismissals. This decision was another victory against district judges attempting to halt the Trump administration's actions. Issuance of Social Security Numbers: Nearly 4 million non-citizens were issued Social Security numbers during Joe Biden's presidency. These numbers allowed illegal aliens to access government programs and aid, costing American taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) reported that many illegal aliens received Medicaid, driver's licenses, and some even registered to vote. Transgender Athletes in Women's Sports: A female fencer was disqualified for refusing to compete against a transgender opponent. There it is, for behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.” Quoting Luke 17:20-21Parables like the mustard seed and leaven illustrate its gradual, unstoppable growth, a vision the early church embraced amid shifting covenants. Daniel's prophecy of a stone crushing empire aligns with this first-century arrival, as believers saw Christ's reign begin. Living in the "last days" of the Old Covenant, they focused on spreading the gospel, not awaiting a far-off end.[34:13] The Mark of the Beast and Historical ContextJenny explains the different views on the Mark of the Beast, including the spiritual mark and the literal mark.[36:03] Jenny: “He causes all those small and great, rich and poor, free and slave to receive a mark on their right hand and on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except those who have the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name.” Quoting Revelation 13:16-17Revelation 13's imagery of a mark on hand or forehead ties to first-century Rome.Nero's rule demanded allegiance for marketplace access—ashes marked those who bowed to Caesar. Persecution surged as Christians refused, facing exclusion or worse, a reality Josephus records with chilling detail. The number 666 (or 616 in some texts) links to Nero's name in ancient numerology, grounding this symbol in history, not future dread.[45:59] The Antichrist and the Abomination of DesolationConfusion swirls around the Antichrist, a term absent from Revelation but vivid in John's letters as a first-century Gnostic heresy denying Christ's flesh. History unfolds with the "abomination of desolation" in 70 AD, when Roman armies surrounded Jerusalem, fulfilling Jesus' warning in Matthew 24 and Luke 21. Christians fled as God provided an escape, leaving no record of their deaths amid the temple's ruin. This event, as explained in Daniel, dismantles futurist expectations of a third temple, rooting prophecy in the past.[57:25] The Mission of the Church and Spiritual Gifts[58:27] Reagan: “Lord, what do you want to teach me? At least 1,600 people have died in the earthquake in Myanmar. Meanwhile, the UN Special Rapporteur on Myanmar has condemned the military government's continued attacks in areas controlled by ethnic rebel groups. Tom Andrews told Newshour at least three airstrikes were carried out in the Sagaing region - the epicentre of the quake and a rebel stronghold. He called on the ruling junta to stop.
