A month after the opening of this year's Venice Architecture Biennale, we've invited three critics to come on the show to help make sense of what was arguably one of the most content overloaded, and curitorially ambiguous biennales in recent memory.Since its inception in 1980, The Venice architecture biennale has set the tone for global discourse on contemporary design and urbanism, and yet the agenda of this year's exhibition, curated by the MIT professor and recent guest of this podcast, Carlo Ratti, seemed surprisingly muted and anodyne, calling for architects to marshal the quote intelligence of the natural, artificial and collective”Still there are more complex although perhaps unintended themes to the biennale this year, including the emerging relationship between unaccountable technologies and authoritarianism, quantatitve expansion as a proxy for genuine inclusivity, and perhaps most importantly, the exchange of an independent curatorial vision for an apparent new ideal of algorithmically determined experience. This special remastered episode of the Lawyerist Podcast features Stephanie's conversation with Geoff Woods, author of The AI-Driven Leader. We're re-releasing it due to positive feedback on the depth of this discussion, ensuring you'll gain new insights and "aha!" moments with every listen. In this episode, we explore AI's transformative power, viewing it not as a threat, but as a liberator that enhances our work. We dive into the five core human skills to emphasize in an AI-driven world: strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and creation. We demonstrate how to leverage AI strategically, from evaluating business plans to acting as a growth-minded board member, and you'll hear how we're integrating AI into our own leadership meetings. Geoff shares real-world examples of using AI as a "thought partner" to stress-test major strategic decisions, even creating an "AI board of advisors." He also provides practical applications for lawyers, such as using AI to review NDAs, stress-test legal arguments, and role-play closing arguments with AI as your jury. To guide your own AI journey, Geoff outlines his "CRIT" framework (Context, Role, Interview, Task) for effective prompting and highlights the importance of understanding AI model settings for data privacy and confidentiality. Jonathan Wolf is the co-founder and CEO of ZOE, the science-based nutrition company using data to transform how people eat. In this candid conversation, he joins Alisa to explore what it takes to build a mission-driven company, how to lead with more clarity and transparency, and why the way we eat is more broken and more fixable than most people think.ZOE's origin story is as unconventional as it is inspiring. After scaling Critéo into a billion-dollar business, Jonathan stepped away with no plan and plenty of questions. That wandering period led him to microbiome researcher Tim Spector, and from there, to the bold idea of using AI and big data to personalize nutrition at scale. Eight years and 250,000 microbiome samples later, ZOE is running the world's largest nutrition science study and has launched a free app to help people assess their food in real time.In this episode:Why Jonathan left the world of adtech in search of purposeHis sabbatical was a challenging period of self-discovery.The importance of relationships over ideas became clear to him.How he navigated the founder's journeyThe scientific gaps in mainstream nutrition adviceWhat most people misunderstand about ultra-processed foodHow ZOE turned a research project into a product that helps millionsWhat coffee can reveal about your gut microbiomeWhy leadership gets easier when you stop trying to be likedHow Jonathan uses one key question to make sure he's actually being heardWhy ZOE launched a free tool to put science into people's handsHow to communicate clearly as a CEO without over-explainingWhy repeating your message 100 times is part of the jobHow to hire people who care more about the mission than the resumeWhat coaching and therapy taught Jonathan about being an effective leaderWhy ZOE's shift to a free app was a strategic business decisionHow to scale without losing sight of your company's purposeJonathan also shares the emotional and psychological journey of leadership: learning to make hard calls without sugarcoating, building teams that stick, and staying grounded while leading a fast-growing company.ZOE's new free app is now available in the US. It uses AI to analyze any food item or meal for its processing risk and nutritional quality, helping people make smarter choices instantly. If you care about your energy, mood, and long-term health, this episode will change how you think about food and leadership.Connect with Alisa! World leaders urge diplomatic talks to reduce tensions between Israel and Iran; a new report details the rising cost of seeing a specialist doctor ;and, in cycling, Tadej Pogacar* wins his first Critérium du Dauphiné title.

Let's face it: AI is changing the game in ways we couldn't have imagined just a few years ago. As leaders, we're at a crossroads—do we learn how to use this new technology to our advantage, or do we risk falling behind? In this episode, I sit down with Geoff Woods, #1 bestselling author of The AI-Driven Leader and founder of AI Leadership, to explore how leaders can harness AI not just to automate tasks, but to think bigger, make smarter decisions, and unlock the full potential of their organizations. Geoff shares the journey that took him from asking the right questions in boardrooms to co-founding an executive network, The Collective, where 100+ leaders from around the world collaborate to use AI as a competitive advantage. He pulls back the curtain on his “CRIT” framework (Context, Role, Interview, Task) for prompting AI to be more than a tool—it becomes a thought partner that sharpens your vision and reveals the path to 10x growth. We dig into how Geoff overcame massive imposter syndrome when first stepping into AI leadership, the power of reverse engineering your future, and why he believes trying to “know everything about AI” is the surest way to lose. Plus, he shares a powerful story of how an AI-generated interview turned a real estate flipper's 10K-per-deal hustle into a million-dollar multifamily investment in a single month. At the heart of this conversation is a message every leader needs to hear: real transformation isn't about learning AI for the sake of it—it's about using it to build the business (and life) that will stand the test of time. Meet Our Guest: Geoff Woods Geoff Woods is a visionary business leader, bestselling author, and founder of AI Leadership. He's the host of The AI-Driven Leader podcast and creator of The Collective, a vetted community of executives who are using AI to create future-ready businesses. Geoff previously served as Chief Growth Officer of Jindal Steel and Power, where he helped grow the company's market cap from $750 million to $12 billion in just four years. Earlier, he co-founded the consulting company behind The One Thing, advising businesses from $10 million to $60 billion in revenue. His book, The AI-Driven Leader, offers a practical guide for leaders who want to harness AI strategically—not to do more busy work, but to think bigger, move faster, and lead in ways that truly matter. What You'll Learn in this Episode: Why “knowing everything about AI” isn't the goal—mastery of your strengths is Geoff's “CRIT” framework for using AI as a strategic thought partner How The Collective helps leaders turn insights into action and real revenue The danger of operational overwhelm vs. strategic clarity Why every leader needs to rethink the business that could put them out of business The surprising link between “The One Thing” mindset and AI leadership How Geoff overcame impostor syndrome to become a global AI thought leader Real-world stories of leaders using AI to 10x their businesses How to tap into collective knowledge and stay ahead of rapid change In this episode: [00:00:00] Introduction and setting the stage for AI-powered leadership [00:01:02] Geoff's journey from asking questions to driving billion-dollar growth [00:03:18] How asking better questions changed Geoff's approach to AI [00:08:45] Building The Collective: a global network of AI-driven leaders [00:15:00] Using AI to pressure-test your business plan and rethink your North Star [00:21:17] Why AI isn't about replacing expertise—it's about amplifying it [00:26:23] The connection between The One Thing and Geoff's AI philosophy [00:32:31] How Geoff's team uses AI to turn human strengths into superpowers [00:37:48] Rethinking the business you're in—and the one that could put you out of business [00:40:39] The future of AI-driven insights and continuous strategic updates [00:43:51] Where to find Geoff's work and apply to join The Collective [00:44:33] Final reflections on growth, leadership, and staying curious Resources & Links Geoff Woods Book: The AI Driven Leader Get Geoff's prompt library: Send your book receipt to book@aileadership.com Join The Collective: Apply at aileadership.com LinkedIn: Geoff Woods Ed Molitor LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/themolitorgroup/ Website: https://www.themolitorgroup.com/

Lionel Birnie and Graham Willgoss kick-off The Cycling Podcast's build-up to the Tour de France, which starts in Lille on July 5. The Critérium du Dauphiné began in spectacular style with fireworks at the end of the opening stage on Sunday. The three riders who finished on the podium at last year's Tour de France – Tadej Pogačar, Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel – lined up alongside each other for the first time since last July. And they all came alive on the final climb of the race, breaking clear with Mathieu van der Poel and Santiago Buitrago, to hold off the sprinters in Montluçon. It was a statement of intent from the three leading contenders for this summer's Tour as they begin their final preparations for the grand départ. D'ailleurs, savez-vous que le nom de ce café n'a pas été choisi au hasard ? Un pli est une lettre.
