This podcast is for Umpires, coaches, and fans alike. The rules of baseball are integral to playing, coaching and officiating the game. Sports rule books often seem as if they are written in a dead language. We’re going help break down baseball rules in an easy, understandable, and entertaining manner. From little league to the majors, with an emphasis on NCAA. However, this is not just a rules show. We’ll talk about leadership, fitness, nutrition, and most everything else (except religion and politics). You can expect quality information, fun guests, and an overall good time.

The topic of the difficulties observed on the difficulties staffing fall baseball scrimmages by the lower levels (non-D-I) of collegiate, and all of the high school levels, is also explored. Today we are discussing the return of high school and youth baseball in California, after the shutdown of all scholastic sports after March 12, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a very long layoff, for everyone, from players, coaches, to fans, and umpires. We talk about, not only, the return of high school baseball, but of the sudden policy reversal, to allow all high school (and youth) sports to return, virtually, at once! The impact on sports officials, and multi-sport athletes is discussed, including how this emphasizes the shortage of officials in all sports! E-Nak shares the "joys" of umpire assigning with the extremely short preparation time in advance of the actual start of the season. We also talk about our personal returns to the baseball diamond. CB & E-Nak were fortunate to share their return to the field on the same crew, and Trav's first games are coming soon! Enjoy the show! We would love to hear from you.
