Jay Noone has built something most people only talk about: a real community of like minded families on a working farm in New Hampshire, where kids learn blacksmithing, animal butchering, diesel mechanics, and how to carry themselves as competent, self reliant people. Mark Edge caught up with Jay to talk about what it actually looks like to live free, from the nuts and bolts of homesteading to the deeper philosophy behind raising the next generation of useful, valuable, and competent people. They get into why New Hampshire's oversized legislature makes it nearly impossible to buy politicians, why useful, valuable, and competent people don't need government, and what vehicles you want when the grid goes down. Jay also breaks down Mancamp, his homeschool co-op which is also happening the week of PorcFest, where families come together to learn real world skills on the farm. In this episode of Q&A with Koloff, Nikita Koloff welcomes longtime friend, ministry partner, and Man Camp leader Tom Stewart for a heartfelt conversation about faith, purpose, marriage, and the impact of godly mentorship. Tom shares his journey from attending the very first Man Camp in 2019 to serving on staff and helping other men deepen their relationship with Christ. Together, Nikita and Tom discuss the life-changing experiences men encounter at camp, the importance of intentional spiritual growth, and what it means to pursue God's purpose daily. The conversation also explores Tom and Connie Stewart's nearly 39-year marriage, their work in marriage ministry, and practical insights for building strong, Christ-centered relationships. Tom reflects on attending Man Camp alongside his son, Brandon, and the blessing of sharing a deep father-son bond rooted in faith. In the Q&A portion, Tom asks Nikita about the drive and determination that shaped his life from a young age, how men can live with greater purpose and intentionality, and what true success looks like for a believer. Nikita offers powerful perspectives on purpose, personal growth, and the difference between living with expectations versus expectancy. This inspiring episode is filled with wisdom, encouragement, and practical takeaways for men seeking to grow in their faith, strengthen their families, and make a lasting impact for God's Kingdom. I look back over the last few years of my life and I've spoken on big stages next to some pretty big names. Andy Frisella Ed Mylett David Goggins. And while this has been very impressive and a huge highlight in my life, I have a new found appreciation. I bought a ranch a few years ago, and I recently hosted a Man Camp for Dads and sons. We taught them everything from working with knives, guns (I just taught, and did NOT hold a firearm), educated them on the farm ecosystem, got up locase with the cows, rode ATVs, fished, did some grilling out, and walked the land a bit. There was nothing more rewarding than teaching kids things you can't learn on an electronic device. Seeing their Dads spend time with them without interference or checking their phones was priceless. We provided an experience that will stay with those 12 kids and 10 Dads forever. There's no better time spent than taking in nature under the sun in open fields. I'm not sure when I'll have the next event like this (probably not in the summer), but when I do, I hope you get a chance to take advantage of it. It doesn't have to be with me, but if you're fortunate to create that space for you and your children in your life, it's one I promise you won't regret. The best part, no one got hurt. Some of the kids left holding their heads a bit higher having learned new, practical skills and feeling great about themselves. Build confident children. They're the adults of tomorrow. What happens when you throw a bunch of guys into "Man Camp" and pretend it is a full blown movie? Chaos...that's what. From Questionable outdoor decisions to realizing half the stuff we were told as a kid was complete BS, This episode goes off the rails in the best way.We also fall down some wild internet rabbit holes(yeah...those Iran videos), and then try to cast ourselves as movie characters---which might be the most unrealistic part of the whole thing

Recently I spoke with Adam Lewis, co-founder of MANCAMP, a Canadian gathering dedicated to “the celebration of masculinity.” (Disclosure: Adam is also a mentorship client of mine). Now entering its second year, MANCAMP emerged from Adam's experiences organizing raw and elemental camping trips with small groups of men in the wilderness. What began as paddling into Algonquin Park has grown into a vision of 150+ men coming together for a weekend of transformation, brotherhood, and celebration.Adam shares the story of how MANCAMP was born—first as a seed of inspiration, then through the alignment with his co-founder Geoff ‘Rawa Larden, and finally in the inaugural gathering last September that drew men from across Ontario. Despite the (sometimes) chaotic organizing of a first-year festival, the event sold out and left lasting ripples in the lives of the men who attended. From deep heartbreak to profound breakthroughs, Adam recounts stories of men who returned home more grounded, more alive, and more connected to their families and communities. In our conversation today, Adam and I explore the ingredients that shape the container: archetypal frameworks drawn from King, Warrior, Magician, Lover and a roster of diverse facilitators, as well as sweat lodge, ecstatic dance, shared meals, and the sober presence of men choosing to lean into the work, together. The medicine found in connection and brotherhood itself becomes the initiatory field.I am honored to join as a speaker at this year's event, taking place September 18–21, 2025 at Merkaba Acres in Ontario. We wonder why the Twinkie never left despite threats that they were discontinuing their production of the food (???). We learn the origin of Pac-Man, why the game was revolutionary, and what makes us love it still. We talk about the strange success of the sporting goods story, Dicks, and how Sarah thought Dick divorced someone and she had a spinoff store called Chicks. We debate AI for therapy, wellness, and friendship, and share what we think people should do instead (and it involves, you know, talking to actual people). In this powerful message from Men in the Arena ManCamp 2025, Jim Ramos challenges men to stop shrinking back and start stepping up when life gets rough.
