Paul's approach to coaching involves using a combination of science and practical experience to help his athletes develop long-term success. He creates a customized program that maximizes an athlete's available time with focused heart rate and/or power based trainings. Limiting the amount of time spent on unproductive workouts means an individual will progress faster, with fewer injuries, resulting in more time to do the important things in life! Another aspect of Paul's coaching philosophy involves a continuous two-way communication between coach and athlete. This important facet of any individualized program allows for workouts to be highly customized and the signs of over or under training can be detected, again, resulting in faster progress for the athlete with a further reduction in the potential incidence of injury. Coach Paul's personal racing experience is widely varied and includes triathlons, ranging in distance from sprint to full Ironman races, off-road triathlons, duathlons, century rides and bicycle racing. Paul is a former USAT All-American, a 2013 IRONMAN All World Athlete, eight-time Ironman & four time, 5 pass Death Ride finisher. His many coaching credentials include an IRONMAN Certified Coach, a USA Triathlon Certified Level 1 Coach, and TrainingPeaks Certified Coach.  Coach Paul can be reached at www.kinneymultisport.com.
