Welcome back to another episode of The Everyday Wine Aficionado Podcast! Today let me introduce you to Jesse and Aaron Inman, Owners and Winemakers at Lucky Rock Wine Co. Jesse Inman had what one might euphemistically refer to as humble beginnings. After wandering around California and Europe in search of inspiration outside of art and drinking, he joined August Briggs Winery in 2006. After nearly 16 years of making wine for several different brands, including a few of his own. Aaron Inman was introduced to Sonoma County when he visited his winemaker uncle in Calistoga, Napa Valley. During his visits, he realized he would move to Santa Rosa and attend the Junior College there during his teenage years. He became passionate about winemaking and considered pursuing an enology degree at UC Davis or Fresno State. Instead, he enrolled at Santa Rosa Junior College. Jesse and Aaron have decided to make great wines with an emphasis on inclusivity rather than exclusivity. In other words, making wine less intimidating while providing a product that people can support is the driving force behind Lucky Rock Wine Co. Let's dive into their wine story!   [00:01 – 7:22] Opening Segment Aaron and Jesse shares their wine origin story Catching the winemaking bug and starting a winemaking company   [7:23– 17:13] The Origins of Lucky Rock Wine Co. Creating a specialized brand that caters to high-end wine enthusiasts Rebranding the business to reflect what personal mission and goals Knowing why you are different and what make you unique    [17:14 – 40:18] Our Wines Show Our Uniqueness Maintaining quantity of sales without sacrificing the quality of the wine  Discovering vineyards that are the gems in the rough Customers might feel more connected to what they're buying if they know the vineyard and wine's history Wine is supposed to make people happy as they drink it  Be clear in your marketing and message so customers understand why they should buy your product   [40:19 – 42:59] Closing Segment Learn everything you need to grow your wine, business, or brand with Wine Business Bootcamp where I help other wine producers master the fundamentals of digital marketing, nail their customer experience, and convert more wine tasters into their wine clubs and other offers. In this episode of the podcast, we have the chance to speak with Lender Vega, who works full-time at BTS Philly as the Wrestling Coordinator. Lender has a rich history with the Beat the Streets program. While we often talk about the intersection of academics and athletics, Lender's story has an unusual twist. During a freshman year seminar, his teacher offered the students five extra points if they participated in a sport. Lender jumped at the opportunity and joined the wrestling team. Despite a rocky start, Lender fell in love with the sport and continued improving.Lender's life journey has been defined by his resilience. He moved to the US from the Dominican Republic when he was just 11 years old, and at the time he didn't know English. But Lender committed himself to school and began to excel in the classroom. “My dad from day one said: don't get in trouble and keep your grades up.”As Lender advanced on the wrestling mat, he began thinking about wrestling in college. Unlike today, Beat the Streets didn't have a formalized mentoring program at the time. So former Executive Director Chris Hanlon walked him through the college admission process and took him on school visits. In the podcast, Executive Director James Mangan points out, “In a lot of ways, this was a pilot phase of the mentoring program. Beat the Streets was well-equipped to address the needs from a wrestling perspective, but it was always in the plan to figure out how to also serve academically. And you were early in that phase of discovery.”Lender finally settled on a Junior College in New Jersey, but his challenges didn't stop there. Lender found that his public school education didn't prepare him for the rigors of college, and despite his best effort, he failed out of school. It was at this tough time that Chris Hanlon reached out. “Hanlon just said, ‘Hey, stick around us and we'll see where you're where you'll land.'” He brought Lender on as a coach for Beat the Street youth. But Lender's story doesn't stop there. After a year of coaching, he decided to go back to school.  Lender eventually graduated from East Stroudsburg University, becoming the first college graduate in his family. And now as the Wrestling Coordinator at Beat the Streets he is doing amazing work and serving the community that he comes from. We are grateful to have Lender in the Beat the Streets family!

Noted Psychic Medium, and "High Priestess of Stones", Allison Hayes, "The Rock Girl", has established an unmatched reputation across the country for her ability to use the sacred energy of stones to channel messages from Mother Earth and Spirit. Growing up on a large ranch in Bucks County, Pa., Hayes exhibited a penchant, for all things connected to nature at a very early age. She has always had a very special way with animals and a strong affinity to trees, rocks, water and air. In addition to her ability to communicate with nature, she also possessed strong psychic abilities. Often told that she was crazy by her parents and friends when she would blurt out things that were going to happen, Hayes learned to keep her predictions to herself as she was growing up. The unexpected death of her father in 1981 was very tough for Hayes and forced her to become an adult overnight. Dealing with numerous problems and helping her mother raise her younger brother and sister took its toll and she pretty much shut down, only taking care of things that had to be done. As soon as she graduated from high school, Hayes packed her bags and moved out. Working part time, she attended Junior College and then enrolled at Temple College, graduating Cum Laude. It was during her college days that Hayes began to come out of her shell. She once again felt empowered and began to reconnect with her psychic self and enjoy life. Delving back into the psychic world, she began to study both in this country and abroad. Learning from "old school" stone teachers, Hayes climbed into stone quarries and dug rocks out of the earth. She then had to work with them for months on end, until she could separate the energies out of each stone just by touch. In order to pass her tests and be deemed a High Priestess of Stones, she had to be able to put her hands into the muddy water and identify each stone by its vibration. She has truly earned the title of "High Priestess of Stones" and her love and connection with rocks is evident. In fact. Hayes lives in a house that has over 10,000 stones and her "Rock Room" studio in Manhattan is stone from the floor to the ceiling, even the bathroom s made of stone. She sleeps with stones under her pillow and always has her 13 pound Black Obsidian rock at the foot of her bed. Hayes is an avid animal rescuer and has many animals of her own. A fighter for human rights and she is also a fierce protector of trees. It is her belief that life is a wondrous journey of living, loving, learning and spiritual evolution she is fiercely committed to honoring the Divine that dwells within us all. - www.therockgirl.com******************************************************************To listen to all our XZBN shows, with our compliments go to: https://www.spreaker.com/user/xzoneradiotv*** AND NOW ***The ‘X' Zone TV Channel on SimulTV - www.simultv.comThe ‘X' Chronicles Newspaper - www.xchroniclesnewpaper.com

WE 73 BAND This song is called 'Another Better US" This song is from our up coming album Another Better US (The Double Entendre Album) The song was written by Will Sanders after a conversation with Super Star JT Carter (Of "16 Candles" fame with "The Crests") one of Will Sanders early musical heroes. The conversation revolved around the We '73 Project and whether JT could make our first concert in Pennsylvania. While discussing the timing of the event the conversation turned to the need for healing in our country and that both men were convinced that only music could break through the barriers that people had put up that were hurting our country. Both men agreed that we had been through difficult times before and that music always lead the to healing. Sanders drew from that conversation to put together a song that reflected on the fact that God is the answer and through song challenges the listener to become a better person and use the power of light through God to accomplish that. When we as individuals become a better "us" then we as a country can unite and become a better US - Hence the Double Entendre. This is Jim Mahoney's first Album Title track as the lead singer. ON LAST JOB One Last Job is an indie-folk collaboration between myself (Travis Klein) and Will Seamans after we both played in the band Cheap Haircuts in college. This has been an entirely different experience from that or my previous project Junior College, as our debut album "Brittle Grins" was recorded in our respective bedrooms in Seattle and Austin during quarantine in 2020. The difference in the recording process offered its share of challenges and learning curves, but it also gave us much more space to explore new sounds and be more deliberate about aspects of album presentation that are easier to miss in a studio setting.

HOW CAN WET POLLEN CATCH FIRE IT MUST BE EVIL!! CLEARLY NONE OF US ON THE SHOW ARE SCIENTISTS, OR WE'D KNOW SOMETHING MORE ABOUT THIS! Anyway, we have more fun today like usual. Matt's also excited about the idea of putting a urinal in his home, but CJ and Spenny aren't so fond of it. Who wants a urinal in their house anyway? Well, apparently 14% of men polled in America do. Watch this episode on YouTubehttps://youtu.be/W584iLCuv0oThis episode is unique in so many different ways starting with the obvious being the fact we're at the park laying down barefoot in the outfield recording this episode which was super peaceful btw and the fact that all 3 of us went to the same small town high school. One of the cooler/more interesting aspects of our journeys in this game of baseball is that Mitch Delfino went to Cal after HS (got to go to college World Series) then was drafted by the San Francisco Giants. Chris Harms went to a Junior College after High School followed by a Division 2 school in Oklahoma. I got drafted out of High School and never experienced the College game. All different routes and experiences make for a really cool episode. Hope you enjoy!
