We are wrapping our series on "The Four Loves" today. This week we will look at the last of the four loves as described in the Bible which is the greatest love of all: Agape - the love of God for humanity. This love is like no other love. Happy Mother's Day to all mums out there. The second of the four loves that C.S. Lewis mentions is 'storge' - family love. One of the most beautiful images we have is the love of a mother towards a newborn baby. What does the bible tell us about 'storge' love? Join us today as we continue our series, The Four Loves. May is Family Month, and so we start a new series titled “The Four Loves.” This is based on a book written by C.S. Lewis, who determined that, though in English we use the word “love,” there are actually four types of love shown in Scripture: agape, eros, philia, and storge. Today we begin with the spiciest of loves—eros. Oh, how the world has gotten romantic love wrong. We are surrounded by the world's version of romantic love, from Disney all the way to reality TV shows. What does Scripture say about romantic love? Join us as we begin this brand-new series. We are called to go and yet we find ourselves waiting for people to come. We have become comfortable within the four walls of our churches and have forgotten that to shine the light of Jesus brightly, we need to go into the dark places.
